Rob provided excellent service. I needed a new water maker shut-off valve installed. Rob evaluated the situation and provided me with solutions. The work was done quickly and cleanly. Rob also provided me with knowledge about my home and gave me some ideas and suggestions. Very satisfied.
Rob Richter from Prime Plumbing came to install our dishwasher when Home Depot bailed on us due to finding (older style) push pull valves under our sink. Rob came and upgraded all our valves for the price of one and then installed our dishwasher. He also hauled our old dishwasher away for no extra charge! Rob stayed with us for several hours making sure the fitting was correct, checked for leaks, and even helped sus out some pressure problems in the house on his own time. He taught me about the new valves and how to problem solve pressure issues in the future. We offered him pizza and coffee not only because he was working hard but he did so on Xmas eve. Definitely will be calling prime plumbing again for all our future plumbing needs from annual county mandated checkups to future work! Thanks Rob! Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Samuel and Dominic were awesome. They were professional, friendly, taught me a little bit about my pipes, made great recommendations, and left me feeling confident in a job well done. They also cleaned up so well that I think they left it better than when they got here! I will definitely use these guys again - hopefully next time it’s not for such an emergency!
I reached out to Prime Plumbing several years ago to have my hot water heater moved to accommodate waterproofing installation in my basement. The man that came out was quick and very respectful and the price was reasonable. When I had a very minor plumbing problem (moving an outdoor hose bib to accommodate deck steps), reaching out to Prime plumbing was a no-brainer. The man that came out saw the issue and jumped to a solution... extending a pipe from my basement. The pipe was brought up to an external wall (which I later found out was against MD code) and was also not properly insulated. He also removed a frost proof hose bib and replaced it with a regular hose bib. He put a ridiculous wall patch and went on and on about his side hustle to make more money (buying and renting out properties in Africa). It only took less than two years for the pipe to fail and cause significant damage to my main and lower levels of my home. I reached out to Prime to rectify the issue. The woman that answered was incredibly rude. I came home to the water damage and was in shock as I was trying to explain the damage that I was seeing. She was very curt and insinuated the pipe bursting was my own fault. How?!? She set up for someone to come out the next day. He was equally as rude. He quoted a completely ridiculous number for the repair and reiterated that I was the cause of the water damage. My friend had a pipe burst and was quoted $300 less than what he was quoting me. The pipe that was installed by Prime caused the water damage to my home and they continue to deny any fault. I've attached photos that show the hose bib that they moved, the patch he installed after he cut a hole in my wall and the subsequent water damage after the pipe burst. I also attached a photo showing there was insulation around the pipe, but the pipe should have never been ran to an external wall. Please do your due diligence before reaching out to this company. Len the Plumber rectified Prime's mistakes and were much more knowledgeable and respectful.
BEWARE!! This nightmare of a company came to my house on 2 consecutive days to fix a leak. I paid them the 1st day, even though the plumbers didn't have a snake to unclog the line. (What kind of plumbers don't carry a snake to a home with a leak.) The next day a different plumber came to snake the washing machine line and said everything was all fixed. Whew was he wrong!! Later, I washed a load of clothes and heard water spewing on the floor below. I called the company and they wanted to send the same plumber back out. After I told them I wanted a different plumber, the receptionist started yelling. I asked to speak to the owner and requested him to call me. He never called! Stunning!! I called another plumbing company. They came out and were stunned that All Star never tested the washing machine before they left to make sure the line was fixed. BEWARE!!
These guys are great- honest, professional, and extremely helpful. John and Tyler went above and beyond to help us out with our repairs for a shower stall (no water coming out from the "hot" valve) and a toilet that didn't flush well and was slow to fill back up with water. I was lucky enough to be connected with All Star through our home warranty company after previous home visits and estimates from two other plumbing companies the warranty company sent to us. Plumbing Companies #1 and #2 quoted us between $600-$700 in various repairs that were "necessary but not covered by the warranty." Fortunately for me, I didn't go with the "Company #1" right away (he quoted $600, said I needed a new diverter, some other things, and would have to create an access panel by going through the wall in the guest room). Because the cost seemed high and they had terrible reviews online, I had the warranty company send someone else for a second opinion. However, the guy from "Company #2" was so unpleasant, pushy and so obviously dishonest (quoted $700 for different types of cartridges, an anti-scald part I "had to have" and also wanted to create an access panel by cutting a hole in the guest room wall) I couldn't go with them either. I let the home warranty company know and they actually let me see a third plumbing company. The All Start guys came within the time frame given, the dispatcher even called ahead to let me know they were on the way, and when they arrived they used booties on their shoes which is much appreciated in a house with wood floors and a baby. Amazingly, John from All Star was able to diagnose and fix the shower stall issues within the hour- it wasn't a broken valve or diverter or anything like that- it was the hard water deposit having completely sealed off the water supply and cutting off the hot water. He used a chisel and chipped away at the deposit and we suddenly went from nothing at all, to full water pressure on the hot water side of the shower. That's literally all it was. No tearing apart the tiles, no cutting a hole in the guest room wall for an access panel, no $700 in repairs; they also fixed our toilet with ease. Before leaving they asked if there was anything else in the house we wanted them to take a look at while they were there- they were helpful and hard-working even though we were their last call and it was late in the day. You can tell they pride themselves on customer service and reputation. It was worth the hassle of having to go through the first two terrible plumbing companies (maybe just inexperienced/lazy, or at the worst, dishonest) over the previous few months to find an honest and professional company like All Star. Hopefully someone else can learn from this experience of me collecting plumbing opinions from 3 different companies and save themselves the headache by giving All Star a call.
Let me give a little backstory first. I woke up Saturday to my sump pump outlet draining out like a tsunami. I did some initial troubleshooting to isolate the root cause of the issue before making calls around to local plumbers. All four of the local plumbers that came out to look at the issue provided work estimates for service line repair and replacements priced north of the $4k mark. With my home being a new construction built only two years ago I had a funny feeling that there was something else going on that did not require digging and infrastructure overhaul so I decided to take one last look around for reputable local plumbers. I came across Prime Plumbing which had multiple five-star customer reviews on Google. We set up an on-site evaluation today 4/11/22 in hopes that someone would arrive earlier than the offered 11 AM to 2 PM time window. 45 minutes later we meet Nathan from Prime Plumbing who had arrived earlier than expected at no dispatch fee! I gave Nathan the details of what was going on and he said this sounds like a familiar situation that he could resolve within 15 minutes without ground digging, slab breaking or overhaul. 15 minutes later we were back up and running with hot water!!! He turned the outside water service valve back on and pointed out how the water service line meter reading did not change at all after the water service was restored. This verified that there was no leak in between the outside service line to the main water valve inside my home. At that point we went back out to monitor the reading on the service line valve. Still no change in the reading, still no leaks. Nathan gave the go ahead to turn on the main water valve in the house. The service line meter reading slowly incremented as he expected. We were able to verify water was restored inside the home and we also have our hot water back. All this went down within 15 minutes as he promised. That's simply incredible. Nathan's strong basic troubleshooting foundation and plumbing expertise saved me an unnecessary $7,500 service line replacement, an unnecessary week's stay at a hotel, broken concrete, an uprooted ground and all the frustration that comes with that process. He was able to root cause analyze and resolve an issue 4 other plumbing contractors overlooked and under analyzed. To show our gratitude we ended up giving him a bottle of Belaire Rosè champagne as a thank you token. Prime Plumbing is MY plumbing choice moving forward. Thanks $1M Nathan. What a great way to start a Monday.
I had a pipe leak major repair work that took all day. Ibrahim my technician suggested I get a membership to save money a 100% home inspection is done, doing that he discovered my bathroom faucet was leaking. He offered to replace it. I said thank you, but I prefer to get my own faucet. I would save even more money. He offered to wait while I go get the faucet, which I thought was a very nice gesture, because at this point it was 3 o'clock. He gets off at 4:30, so I hurried to home depot to get the faucet. Once it's in, I notice it has a push button water retainer, and you push the button again to release the water that did not sit well with me. The next day I called the office, I spoke with Shiloh I pleaded my case to her explaining how I was a loyal customer. I asked if they would please allow him to return and swap out my faucet, at not cost to me, explaining how I did not like that faucet . She had to confer with her manager after several hours. She called me back and she said yes, that they would be more than happy to allow him to come back out. She said she valued me as a customer and appreciated my business. I was so relieved! With the high prices of everything, from gas to food to utilities and after spending $3000.00 the day before, it really made my day . I felt very valued. I call that not only Exemplary Customer service, but it was also giving back. Thank you Prime Plumbing for your compassion and Great staff . T.Venerable
Exceptional service and integrity from Tim and the Prime Plumbing team I can’t say enough good things about Tim and Prime Plumbing. The day before our house went on the market — with three showings already booked — our landscapers accidentally lodged our septic cap deep in the piping. Prime Plumbing got out to us promptly, before the first viewing of the day. The initial assessment was that they’d need to dig up our yard 10 feet deep. But before going that route, they sent Tim out within two hours to take another look. He worked hard to retrieve the cap and was able to move it enough to get water flowing freely again, though the cap itself couldn’t be pulled out. Here’s where Tim’s integrity really stood out: instead of pushing us toward the costly dig, he recommended a different company that had a specialized tool for the job. When I called them, Tim stood there with me on speakerphone and explained the situation far more clearly than I could have. That other company came out first thing the next morning and retrieved the cap within minutes — saving us thousands of dollars and very likely saving our home sale from being delayed or derailed. Tim even gave me his direct contact info to make sure everything got taken care of. This is the kind of customer service and honesty that’s hard to find. Incredibly grateful to Tim and the entire Prime Plumbing team for going so far out of their way to help us. Highly recommend.
I have been waiting to make an appointment with All Star Plumbing LLC; when I called back to make another appt (had to cancel the first one due family emergency)--I was told they needed another work order# from SEARS (warranty dept(?). Naturally, I asked why was that and the woman who answered the phone said "SEARS closed it out." (?!) After checking today (6pm) on the SEARS APP for job status-- the ALL Star job/PO# is still "open"--alive and active-- but..... The woman answering the phone at All Star told me weeks ago that SEARS canceled it(?)...huh...I am REALLY hoping there was just some confusion w/work order numbers... Now, after speaking live with SEARS on the phone (today), they reported the work order # for ALLSTAR is open and available to accept appointments(?) As we were talking about the disconnect with SEARS-- ALL STAR updated their "job status" as "Pending a diagnostic report"? What diagnostic report would they have--considering they have NEVER been to my home, nor do they understand the scope of work?!? Is ALL STAR sending the report, in an effort to get paid and close the PO#/job ticket? Is this for real? Is this what vendors do? Please tell me this is NOT how ALL STAR operates?! ALL STAR: PLEASE GIVE ME A REASON TO REMOVE THIS REVIEW/CHANGE IT FOR THE BETTER!!!
Prime Plumbers are professional who get any major plumbing job done well inside or outside one's house. My drain pipe in the basement which came with the house about 30 years ago was old, broken and corroded. Brad and his team from Prime removed the old, broken pipes and replaced them with new ones. Every question I asked them about the process was answered and explained to me very respectfully. Then they went outdoors to my front yard to dig it up and remove the old, corroded sewage pipes. Again, at each step of this process, Brad and his team were cordial, knowledgeable, and explained every step in the process to me and asked for my feedback. I am very satisfied with their removal of the old pipes and the installation of the new pipes. Great job. They cleaned up both work areas very nicely and in a timely manner. Before they finished the job, they asked if I had any questions. Because they did such an excellent job, I had no question about their work. As they were leaving, I waved goodbye to them, and they waved back. They did an excellent job in replacing the drain and sewage pipes, and everything is working wonderfully. I recommend Brad and his team, and I give them 5 Stars.
Ron Green, master plumber from Prime Plumbing was absolutely wonderful. He truly evaluated the plumbing issues taking the time to show and explain the cause and resolution. Ron also pointed out, and showed me some things that needed replacement to prevent further issues during our thorough walk through, both inside and outside this old house. He typed everything in that I wanted done, and that needed to be done. He took his company IPad and worked out the costs in detail. They were very reasonable, and made it an easy and pleasant experience. Having had other companies out sending salesmen and not the experienced person who will be doing the work, was refreshing. Ron needed some parts to complete the job that day, and phoned his company to see if he could get them as soon as possible. His manager went out of his way to bring the parts to him. Ron was great to work with, conscientious, professional, and great at his job. He repaired and replaced the fixtures that were worn and inefficient, as well as cleaned everything up! I highly recommend Prime Plumbing and if you are lucky you will get Ron. We will use them again!
I wanted to take a moment to commend All Star Plumbing and the crew consisting of Tony, John and Tyler for fixing the issue with the unsealed sleeve on the main water line. This defect was causing ground water to constantly flow in my utility room. The crew explained the cause and solution for the problem. They jack-hammered the basement floor, fixed everything underground and re-poured concrete. They cleaned up nicely and I'm happy to say my utility room is dry and the sump pump is running less frequently! Thank you for solving my problem as several southern MD plumbers either wouldn't fix it or proposed expensive solutions that didn't make sense! The office staff are awesome too. They keep you posted on crew's arrival time and calls when they are in route. Scheduling and paying the deposit was quick and easy. Thank you ladies!! I highly recommend All Star Plumbing and I will use them for all future plumbing needs. If you have a plumbing problem, give them call! Their staff are knowledgeable and have many years of experience. They'll get it done!
The warranty I have through American Water Services contacted Prime Plumbing for a leaking pipe inside my home to my main line. I called 311 because of it being the main line being 70 plus years old and they turned the water off at the meter to prevent flooding to my house. The first technician dispatched (the next day)from Prime determined the main line needed replacement requiring excavation of my front yard that is a gardening showpiece of my late husband's. When Bill from Prime came out to write a proposal to American Water he determined and planned for minimal disturbance to my husband's beloved gardens. Apparently after consulting with American Water Bill wanted to have his guys (sorry I don't remember their names) try to make a repair through my basement instead of excavation. It worked and the household water was up and running! You guys were my heroes; first for not excavating my husbands gardens and for having water restored in about an hour. Put this plumbing company on the top of your list for plumbing repairs, they rock!
The previous plumbing company we used really put a hard sell on their maintenance package, so when we needed our water heater replaced, I decided to check out Prime Plumbing because I liked their billboard with the guy and his son on it. A tech came out to give us an estimate and I really appreciated his honesty and how he laid things out and went through the options with us, explaining how what they would install would be different than what we might get from other plumbers. The plumber who came out to install the heater, Bryan, was friendly and efficient and before we knew it, our leaking unit was replaced, all without being pressured into a subscription service. We'll definitely be calling on Prime again in the future! Update: we called Prime again to fix a sudden leak in our wall. Corban came out and did a fantastic job. He worked professionally and quickly and before I knew it, the job was done. And no one put the hard sell on us, which is always appreciated in stressful situations.
