I just want to give a big thank you to Terry and Damien for jumping on my request so quickly and handling everything so professionally. They took the time to clearly explain what was going on, walked me through several possible solutions, and laid out a detailed step-by-step plan to diagnose and fix the issue. They also made sure I knew what the next steps would be if Plan A didn’t work. Thankfully, Plan A did the trick — and our toilet is officially back in business after our three-year-old decided a rubber ducky needed to go for a swim. 🦆🚽 Really appreciate their help! Highly recommend their services!
Terry and Damien came and fixed pipe leak we had. They were actually off that day but came anyway. They found the leak and even stayed late to fix it. I highly recommend them.
Terry and Damien were very knowledgeable and friendly. Very professional and resolved our clogged sink, running the snake down the pipes 2 more times after the first time didn’t work. I appreciate the work.
Called to get pricing on diagnosing a problem with my water heater before telling me how much the person on the phone tried scheduling a technician to come out right away and when I told her I need to find out if I could afford the service she hung up in my face
Do not use this plumbing service the prices are outrageous and if you're in an emergency like I was you'll have no choice to pay their extortion fee. They charged me 850 dollars for a spigot to be replaced after it had started leaking pretty badly. The owner is very disingenuous and had reported my wife's review as spam and had the audacity to call us "dishonest" awhile having her review taken down! He has a habit of disrespecting customers calling them dishonest if they call out his prices, do your due diligence and look at the lowest rating reviews and they'll explain everything! Very predatory and "dishonest", he lied to us saying the fees for labor were discussed on the phone, which mind you the only fee mentioned was the $200 emergency fee. They were more concerned about getting my card number while I was stressing about the leak. When the plumbers came then was I told it would be 650 dollars to replace the spigot. I had no choice to pay their fee since I didn't want my yard to flood. I was going to leave it alone but my wife saw how upset I was and she posted a google review. My attitude changed when he disrespected her and had the audacity to hide her review after calling us "dishonest". Mind you I will not have my integrity challenged or questioned given I have served over 8 years in the army. That's what crossed the line for me and caused me to make my review. If he hasn't reported my review as spam I suggest you look at my review on google that explains everything better. Oh here's my spigot for the cost of a cheap $850
We called Plumb Shield Plumbing at 3028 Marquita Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76116 to repair a leak in our tankless water heater. The leak was on a pipe where another part was connected. I found out later this was a pump that was imperative to have on otherwise you will only get warm water and it wont be instant. The plumber (Terry) downplayed the need for the pump and gave us a quote to replace the pipe and leave off the pump. He did say we could order it ourselves and he would come back and put it on for another charge of $495, but since he downplayed the need for it, I thought it would be ok. Since I am not a plumber I just took his word that he could fix our problem and we would be fine. I guess he did this because he didnt have the part and wanted to do the job even if it wasnt done right. We paid $650 plus tax for this 30 minute repair. We had to call another plumber the next day that had the part and we was charged $700 for the pump and the repair. The good plumber (Ernie's Plumbing Service) told us we was overcharged for the previous work. He said $200 an hour is the max someone should charge, so I am not happy about being overcharged for work that yes fixed a leak but made my tankless hot water heater not supply hot water. I do not have a problem paying full price for a repair but it needs to be done right! If you decide to use this company be sure you have a good understanding of plumbing so you don't get overcharged and do not pay more than $200 an hour. If he says it will take 1.5 hours, then don't pay more than $300 plus parts.
We have had to call Plumb Shield Plumbing twice this year for two separate issues, and both times service was excellent! In February 2025, I called Plumb Shield the morning of a bathroom leak, and their team was at the house working before 11 am. They quickly identified the cause (a cracked plastic water supply hose in the primary bathroom cracked that led to water damage) and advised us the same type of hose in the guest bathroom. We chose to proactively replace the hoses with a metal supply hose. The plumbers were prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. They patiently answered all our questions and helped us stay calm by focusing on what we could control during this unexpected situation. Just last week, the primary bathroom toilet fill valve failed. I called Plumb Shield in the early morning, and they came out same day and quickly fixed the problem! I had kept the magnet they provided me in February with their information and received 10% which I deeply appreciated. I highly recommend Plumb Shield Plumbing for their fast response times, professionalism, and excellent service.
I had a water heater leaking issue this morning and I called Plum Shield Plumbing. Since it was urgent, I requested for the quickest possible time. In less than an hour, Terry and Nathan showed up and they recommended to replace the unit. They gave me the quote and I found it to be reasonable. So, I immediately requested to get it done ASAP. Terry called the vendor while Nathan was draining the old unit. With them being a tag team, they completed the job within reasonable time and it was professionally done. Terry and Nathan were so respectful, very knowledgeable on the system and updated me on what’s going on. These two gentlemen were awesome and I would definitely recommend them to whoever I know that will have a water heater issue in the future. A 5 star is not enough for them, they deserve 10 stars. Thank you very much Terry and Nathan and any plumbing issue in the future, I will definitely request your service from Plum Shield Plumbing. attached is the photo of their fantastic job.
Update: this company responded on Google. They state my estimate is based on complexity. If another company was only going to charge $350, it wasn't. They saw a woman without heat and thought I'd pay their exorbitant fees. Read the other reviews on here. This is clearly not the first time. So no, I don't believe them. At all. Review stands. Oh and the company who fixed the leak...one test. One fee of $350. Passed inspection. Gas is back on. These guys are scam artists. Scheduled with this company due to a gas leak at my home. Second plumber I scheduled with while Fort Worth is getting snow/ice and I have no heat. This company said they'd charge me $700 to run two diagnostic tests based on the pipes in my home. I told them no way. They were trying to take advantage of me being in a tough situation. The company last night wanted $350 but didn't have the part. I'm not paying double because you think I'm desperate. Will never use them again or recommend them at all.
I will never give a 1 or 2-star review, no matter how bad the service because I understand what it can do to your business... However, I own a property management company; we manage about 130 homes in the DFW area. We had an emergency issue at one of our properties on Saturday night. I was out of town, so we called Plumb Shield out of desperation. Plumb Shield charged me $200 just to come to the property (I agreed to this) and when it was discovered the only way to stop the leak was to turn off the water at the street, they charged me another $135 to turn the valve off. So, it cost us $335 to have a valve turned off. They gave me a quote to fix the problem that was $715, I had it fixed on Sunday morning for $230. The plumber they sent (Michael) was rude and was very disrespectful to me when I objected to the outrageous cost to simply turn a valve off. As I told the manager that called me Saturday night, I will never use this company again for anything.
SCAMMERS—BEWARE! Called them for a tankless water heater issue (which we already diagnosed). Paid $200 for a tech to confirm the obvious. He ordered a free replacement part under warranty—then quoted $800 to install it! I replaced it myself in minutes by unscrewing one screw. Complete ripoff. Dishonest and overpriced—stay away! Respond to owner comment: I never requested a diagnosis—I already knew it was an ignition issue from a simple internet search and told your office that upfront. Despite this, I was told a tech had to come out anyway for a $200 diagnosis fee, which I had no choice but to accept. As for the $800 installation quote, Texas plumbing labor rates cap at $200/hour, and this was a 5-minute job—no preparation, no testing, just unscrewing one part. Reviews exist for businesses to improve, not to justify bad practices and ignore the problem.
I recently had Plumb Shield Plumbing handle a pretty significant plumbing issue in my back yard, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial phone call, they were professional, responsive, and clearly explained the problem and my options. Michael arrived on time, was courteous and respectful of my home, and worked efficiently to fix the burst pipe. What impressed me most was his attention to detail and willingness to answer all my questions. He didn't just fix the immediate problem, he also took the time to explain how to prevent similar issues in the future. The price was fair and transparent, with no hidden surprises. I highly recommend Plumb Shield Plumbing for any plumbing needs – they're reliable, skilled, and provide excellent customer service!
Please do not go with this plumber. He is one of the most expensive and rude plumber in the area - (1) he will charge unreasonable amount for identifying the problem, when that service is offered free by others. I called in two other plumbers in the area and all two of them evaluated the problem for no cost. (2) the quote that he provided for fixing the problem was literally 4X of what other plumbers asked for. Ofcourse I went with another plumber 3) This plumber will provide no details on the break down of the quote and will be extremely rude if you ask for a break down of the cost. Do yourself a favor and reach out to other more professional and cheaper plumbers!
Terry and Nathan were fantastic! We had a leak behind our refrigerator, and they were over the same afternoon and fixed the problem so quickly! They were efficient, professional, and went above and beyond, checking other areas such as laundry room and the garage to make sure there weren’t any other issues. Best plumbers in the area for sure!! A quick update: We had another plumbing crisis today (a shower that wouldn’t drain), and Terry and Johnny responded so quickly! They were over the same afternoon we called, and they were efficient and professional. They fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes! Can’t recommend them enough.
Terry & Johnny came out soon after the call and tenaciously searched for the source of my water issue. Did much testing and ultimately found a very small leak inside the wall of the shower. They removed the bad length of copper and replaced with new. Problem solved. Kept me informed of all tests they were doing, showed me what and where the leak was, and did the repair immediately thereafter. They cleaned up the area where they were working and that issue is finally behind me. They were polite and considerate in covering their work boots so nothing was tracked into the house. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you!
