One Step was able to come the same day. Garvey quickly figured out the source of the leak and had the parts on hand to fix our tub. Friendly and reasonably priced - my new go to for any future plumbing needs.
We had a clogged drain pipe leading from the kitchen sink on christmas even. It was very difficult to find anyone, but we were referred to Leonard by Albion Plumbing. He came over within an hour and was able to solve the problem in less than 30 minutes. He also gave us some great tips on how to keep our pipes clear. We really appreciates how quickly he came out and solved the problem. If we have any future issues, we will call him again.
Leonard does an awesome job for a good price. Our motel's parking lot had a water pipe leakage underground. He repaired our pipe quickly and for dirt cheap. I highly recommend this guy for your plumbing needs. He's a nice guy and pretty patient too.
Leonard was available when no one else was, but took advantage of the fact that we were in a confused and stressful situation. He replaced a leaky gas valve, and hooked up a dryer and a stove. After the work was done, he charged by the hour and included his time going to pick up parts (twice) which I suspect also included a break or another job because he was gone for hours. But then he charged us for those hours. Oh, and to top it off he made a pass at my girlfriend. He seems like a nice guy at first and is pleasant enough to talk with, but is ultimately not trustworthy or fair.
Leonard stated over the phone that his fee was $ 82.50 an hour. He came to the house, but had to remind him of taking his shoes off. He spend hours on a faucet that wasn't able to be fixed properly. He charged me $ 182. 50 to go get a part I hadn't approved! My housemate is from India and I feel he took advantage of the situation as I had to run to a Dr. appointment. When I returned home, my housemate informed me the bill was $ 330.00 and the sink still wasn't fixed. I hired another plumber and he only charged me $ 200 for 3 hours worth of work and the faucet works perfectly!! I would not recommend One Step Plumbing to anyone!
Leonard is a skilled professional, and an honest business owner. He also has a great sense of humor and was very friendly and cordial with my family. We have a bathtub that started leaking badly into our basement. For some reason, all of the plumbers in the East Bay seem to be backed up with no availability for several days. This includes our trusted go-to plumber as well as her backup and other well-recommended plumbers. I can't blame any of them for that, of course. I called Leonard when he was in the middle of a sewer pipe repair, and when he heard how important the job was, he promised to be here by 5 -- and he was. Once he had diagnosed the problem, he patiently explained it to me. He worked efficiently and repaired the leak to my complete satisfaction, even though he had TWO more jobs to complete this evening. He insisted on going to buy the parts himself, to make sure he got the best ones and the right ones. When the job was done, we noticed that the bathtub spout, too, was slightly faulty. He offered to come back and install a new one (if I could go and pick it up), for no extra charge. I am happy to recommend Leonard for any plumbing repair job.
So my favorite plumber was not available until the next day and I really wanted to fix the valve that got damaged that goes to the water line for our new fridge. (Long annoying unnecessary story.) It was leaking and I didn't want to spend another night waking up and watering plants in the middle of the night- didn't want to shut the water off for the house either. I called plumbers all day long and no one was available that same day. This guy at Albion told me about Leonard. It was now dinner time. I was ready to just wait until the next day but Leonard was available and actually reasonable with his fees for an after hours call. He came over, was very kind and patient, taught me what he was going to do and why, and then executed the plan of replacing the valve swiftly. He's very experienced. And then he went above and beyond by trying to help us with another non-related new-fridge-install issue. He gave us great advice and got us started on that before he left. Even my kids adored him. Could he be my new favorite plumber? I certainly will be calling him next time!!
Job well done! I had sewage drain snaked and a cleaned out, to add a rat blocker. Leonard was great! Quick service. Lucas arrived same day I called and the other sewage workers came the next day and cleaned up very well. Very professional and very knowledgeable in their profession. Lucas was very much in detail when explaining the situation, as well as the other workers and Leonard. They all came to assure I was pleased and the work was completed. Leonard arrived to assure me that he was on top of the job as well. Especially thanful as he and lucas were very busy that day in different cities. A real quality job done by true professionals. Thanks to you all and hats off to Leonard
I recommend Leonard very highly for a couple of reasons. I called for a leaky toilet and he came over right on time that afternoon. He gave good, advise on how and where to buy a new toilet and then he agreed to both pick up the toilet and take our old one to the dump (note: he charges for these services - and he should). I felt confident through the entire process. He charges by the hour -- not cheap, but very fair. And even did two extra little jobs without charging at all (including going to the plumbing supply store and dropping by a part). I thought him friendly, experienced, and felt very good about the entire process. I recommend him highly.
I called One Step Plumbing on a Sunday night because my kitchen sink wouldn't stop running and my landlord couldn't send someone out until the following day. The person who answered the phone was extremely polite and helpful. He assisted me with finding a temporary solution to the problem so that it's no longer an emergency. He could have easily come out to do the job and charged me an excessive amount of money as it was after business hours. However, he was kind enough to just guide me through the process of turning off the valve. Now I can just wait for my landlord to take care of the problem.
I can happily report being highly satisfied with the services of One Step Plumbing. My experience was very positive with both the customer service received and the plumbing problems solved. Leonard's approach was 100% professional and cost-effective. Without a doubt, Leonard is a man that truly cares about doing the job right, and he went the extra mile (literally, for a parts run) to make sure my problem was fully resolved. One Step customers can expect to be treated with fairness, honesty, professionalism and top notch customer service. I enthusiastically recommend their services!
One Step Plumbing is skilled, responsible, versatile, and affordable. I've hired them to do a number of heating and plumbing projects. I was very pleased to hire them, after interviewing a number of other companies, to install Berkeley's required sewer lateral systems for my duplex. It was a huge job -- I put it off for years until I found the right company -- and I'm glad I waited... One Step was professional and FAST. They got all the permits, and got the job done, inspected and signed off by the city. I got my refund and everything works great. Highly recommend them.
Our bathtub was filled to the brim with water from our upstairs neighbors shower, we tried getting a hold of our landlord for days with no response. We called One Step Plumbing on a Saturday and Leonard got back to me within a few minutes. He estimated that he'd be over within an hour and showed up a little before. He was quick and professional and also very kind. He fixed the problem and was done within 30 min or so. I would definitely suggest One Step Plumbing, they are quick and efficient and relatively low priced. -nic
We'd had a leak from our shower handle, our shower head, and our tub faucet for years and years. We did not want to open the tile wall to replace the shower handle mechanism, which is what we'd been told would be necessary. Instead of replacing the shower handle cartridge, Leonard rebuilt both shower handle cartridges and both tub handle cartridges, and now they are both working fine with no leaks! He also (without me even asking) recaulked both the shower and the edges of the tub. Highly recommend!
My water heater pilot light was broken and Leonard saw I had an urgent need, so his price for a new WH was $2,600. He told me getting the water heater repaired was a bad idea even though it was nearly new and the only problem was the pilot light. When I didn't go for it he called me a few times anyway. Got an estimate of $2,000 from Water Heater Masters for a new unit. Ended up using Boom Water Heaters, who replaced the pilot light for $300 including parts and labor done the same day I called.
