Pricing
Anti-upsell pattern confirmed across at least 5 independent reviews: one reviewer built a price cheat sheet and found O&M below estimate, another was given a self-test to avoid unnecessary service, and a third saw their invoice reduced mid-job when a planned service proved unneeded

Andrew was the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful professional that we’ve had out to our place. To the point, efficient, and clean work. I cannot recommend O & M Plumbing enough. There is a reason why they get so many great ratings!
My neighbor recommended Ben at O&M several years ago. They’ve been my go-to plumbers ever since. The technicians are reliable and well-trained. Great communication. Good recommendations when seeking cost-effective solutions. Reasonable pricing. And they honor their work.
Chris was extremely helpful during the visit to our residence to fix our water heater. He was knowledgable and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Extra points -- we actually got a different, very well known, plumbing company to come out 2 days before and they could NOT fix the issue. Chris fixed the issue in 1 hour after troubleshooting at least 5-6 different processes and explaining each one. I can not recommend O&M enough! We've used them a lot and will continue to do so. Thanks!
A damn joke. Called them bc my hot water heater igniter wouldn't stay lit. I've never had this issue. Tech comes out and says "oh maybe we just need to clean the burner/igniter. He starts looking at it and notices the screws were already off (I did that, trying to get a better look as well as turned off the gas). He says "oh that's not good at all!" Screws the screws back on and says "I'm going to try to see what it does" messes with it and says it won't light at all. I tell him I turned the gas off... he turns it on and says ok it may take a few minutes to light... it never catches and then he starts talking about the electrical unit may need to be replaced and if that works, great. If not it could be the burner part of the unit. If we're going to do one, might as well do BOTH?!?! And there's always a chance there could be calcium build up in the tank?? Whatever that meant... He never pulled the burner off to clean it to see if that MIGHT work like he said. I don't know it just seemed sketchy... wasn't consistent, he didn't explain why or what his reasoning was, never did what he said he would do originally to trouble shoot the problem. Then called someone to start talked prices. Thumbs down, you will never gain my business like that.
0 stars We sent an email (below) to O&M, got a call from the owner who said that isn't their policy / procedure and that he stands by his plumbers and their reporting and we got what we paid for so it didn't matter wether he was correct or not. This is at the exact same time another company is fixing the problem they said did not exist, while telling me a scratch in the PVC pipe from the toilet needed to be jackhammered out to replace. I could see it was just a scratch, and told him I think there is a break under the carport as the pier repair is in line with the clean out, he said no (that was the problem). I've worked with many plumbers in Austin, only used this company as referred by the foundation company for testing. Not only will they take days to find the issue, they will not find the issue and cherry on top you will get awful customer service from the owner even when you send him a report verifying everything you're telling him is true and his plumbers were dead wrong. I've had my fair share of bad plumbers from home remodels and Restaurant repairs but these guys take the cake for worst plumbers ever. Run for the hills with O&M! For leaks or hydrostatic testing - Austin Leak & Line found the issue in an hour, extremely professional and got the job done right for less cost then O&M. Hello, I wanted to let you know that your plumbers couldn't have been more wrong on the foundation report. The good news is we could tell that they did not know what they were doing, and the recommendation to jackhammer the bathroom toilet for a scratch in the pvc was way off base. Luckily I was there to watch them or I would have just gone with that determination. See report attached from company that I immediately contracted for a second opinion, they found the break in the line near the foundation repair (which I hinted to your plumber it would be) in less then an hour. Honestly think you should give me a full refund for money and the amount of my time wasted from plumbers not knowing how to properly use equipment. Y'all need new plumbers stat! I'll also be letting bats know they should not refer your company to future customers for this test.
Exceptional O & Plumbing Service Experience I highly recommend O & M Plumbing for any plumbing needs. In particular, Chris F. has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism on every project of mine. His attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship set him apart as a truly outstanding plumber. Project Background I recently purchased an older home, full of charm and distinctive bathrooms. However, I encountered a leak in the master shower that required the p-trap under the shower drain to be replaced before new tile work could be completed. My concern was that reconnecting the new p-trap to the antique cast iron drains in the foundation might cause the cast iron to crumble. Chris F.'s Approach and Solutions Chris came to the rescue, using a camera down the drain to evaluate the situation. He explained the difference between what was probable and what was possible, providing two bids: one for the probable good case and one for the possible problem case. Having used Chris before with excellent results, I trusted his methods, which are always the least intrusive and focused on effective access. In the worst-case scenario, Chris would need to cut and excavate a 2' x 2' hole in the foundation around the shower drain, then tunnel no more than five feet under the foundation from that access point to secure a solid connection to the iron drainpipe. In the best-case scenario, he would only need to excavate a 2' x 2' hole around the shower drain to replace and secure the new p-trap. He also showed me pictures of his past work for reassurance. Successful Outcome Fortunately, the best-case and probable case prevailed. While fixing the p-trap, Chris also discovered an unrelated drain leak under the foundation, which he repaired at no extra charge. I felt I received excellent value for the service provided. Professionalism and Work Quality Chris left the work site clean, as he has always done in the past. He and his co-worker collaborated well, using a small and quiet jackhammer designed specifically for plumbing foundation work. The new drain looks beautiful, and I can confidently proceed with the new tile work, knowing that the unseen part of the shower is sound and affordable. Appreciation Thanks to O & M Plumbing for introducing me to Chris F. and Mike. Both are good and considerate professionals, and I am grateful to have them working in my home.
Wow! Talk about timeliness, competency and a job well done – you would be talking about O&M Plumbing, headquartered at Three Points Ave in Pflugerville, owned by Ben Morgan! Two days after my initial call to Heather, Chris (a handsome 30 yr old) let us know he was 30 mins away, as per their advertising. Upon his arrival, he greeted me with a big relaxing smile and I explained our issue: a running toilet and “hammering”. He began by checking outside water pressure at 115psi – when it should be about 65psi! OK, that’s a 4-5 hr project. With our 20+ yr old plumbing Chris recommended a copper fixture to reduce incoming pressure and we’d have to reschedule in order for the gas, telephone and internet people to determine where their pipes and wires were located. A week later, Chris showed back up and I watched as he cut, cleaned, measured, and soldered; using many skills for this project. I was amazed that he could talk while constantly working! He finished quicker than anticipated and we went inside to fix other things. He completed the toilet issue in 25 mins because he had the needed parts in his O-M truck. When asked about why he liked his job, Chris was very complimentary about his boss, Ben. He explained that Competence and a Friendly Professional attitude is what drives Ben – he is a very knowledgeable man who expects nothing less from his employees than the very best they can produce – because that is what he does! In fact, since he was in the area, Ben stopped by the next day to meet me. It was a real pleasure to meet both Ben and Chris because we interacted as family members to each other including us having the ease, trust and humorous banter that happens with those that give off those friendly vibes. Thanks guys for jobs well done!
Best Plumbing Services overall in my service area based on price, skill and quality of customer service. Many other reputable companies quoted double (or in one case triple) for the exact same work. Did I mention they were quick and cleaned up after themselves too? How did I determine that they are the best? I had all of my plumbing inspected by a home inspector/contractor I trust, with estimates on cost and time. So I contacted every reputable plumber I could find on yelp for estimates including Aloha Plumbing, Good Flow, Blue Dragon, Plumb-Quick, the Plumbinator, Local Plumbing and EZ Flow to see what they would quote. O&M was the first ones out, their prices were in line with my cheat sheet (that I did not tell any of the estimators about), Drew was head and shoulders above the other estimators in terms of knowledge and - here is the most important thing - NO UNNECESSARY UPSELL!!!!! All other estimators save 1 tried to sell me on a rebuild of a shower that only needed a handle fixed. All other estimators warned me that most of the undersink cabinet space would be used up in the remodel but O&M actually ended up using less space than before. So now I have even more storage room. I don't usually use CAPS in reviews but the best service and best knowledge (given they improved the situation under the sink unlike every other company would have done), while coming in a few dollars below my cheat sheet estimates and being the 2nd cheapest quote out of 6. I won't even try another company and I want to make sure everyone I care about is using these guys. Too many others out there gouge you. I have 4 emails in my inbox that prove it.
Andrew discovered a pretty major leak from a sewer pipe under our pier and beam home. Adding to this unpleasantness is the fact that our crawl space was non existent and our home is very low to the ground. They had a digging crew come out promptly to create an access point so they could access and begin work. Needless to say, this was not a glamorous job. Ben (the owner), Mike and Andrew worked in these conditions for almost two whole days until the job was complete. I cannot thank them enough!! They made the entire process so easy. Andrew did such a great job in explaining the issues and the work that would be taking place. He broke it down in layman's terms for us, preparing us for possible complications, etc. He is such an asset to the company, he really brought our anxiety down and assured us the work would be done correctly and with the least disruption possible. It was also reassuring (and rare) to have the owner of the company on site working alongside Andrew and Mike to ensure everything was done properly. From start to finish we were treated with respect and courtesy and they delivered on all of their promises. Heather in the office did a terrific job booking our various diagnostic visits and passing along messages when needed. I can't say enough about this company and we are so grateful to have found them. They truly have given our home back to us after living with an unpleasant situation for some time. And they couldn't have been sweeter to our dogs! I urge everyone to trust O & M Plumbing with all of their plumbing needs.
Ben is honestly the best plumber in Austin. He's been with us through multiple plumbing disasters at three houses over our years in Austin (I think his first job for us was 2016? So over 6 years now), and it's hard to imagine relying on anyone else. He's reliable, great at explaining things, really really thorough, and does great work. Most recently, we woke up Thanksgiving morning with a wet floor and a bunch of warped floor boards. So stressful. Ben prioritized our call, diagnosed our issue quickly, and had the whole thing repaired within a couple days, making a huge headache way easier to deal with. It's always like this with O&M- we've done both major and minor work with them over the years, and they really take care of us. A note about the kind of person Ben is: while he was out fixing our latest issue, he noticed that the handle was off in our guest shower. This had nothing to do with the issue he was out for: it had gotten corroded, and I was in the process of swapping it out myself, but busy parent life combined with all the YouTube videos I was going to need to watch to get it done had meant it had been sitting there waiting for me to actually do it for a couple months (shameful, I know). Ben noticed it and offered to knock it out while he was out fixing our issue, just because he could and he knew it would only take him a few minutes. He's just like that, goes the extra mile. I don't have enough good words about O&M - could seriously tell 5 other stories like this. Thank you, Ben! We are grateful for you and your team.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ O & M Plumbing – A True Gem!** We recently purchased a beautiful mid-century home built in 1962, and while it had charm in spades, it also came with a few plumbing challenges. Enter **O & M Plumbing**, and more specifically, **Chris**—a master of his craft and hands-down the best plumber we've ever worked with! From the start, Chris tackled every issue with precision, professionalism, and a genuine care for our home. He installed a **new main gas pipe** for our HVAC system, not only enabling the upgrade but also curing **slow gas leaks in the attic** that had been a lingering concern. That alone was a huge relief! But Chris didn’t stop there. He **fixed a leaky toilet and its stubborn shut-off valve**—a problem that had stumped *three other plumbers*. His persistence and expertise were unmatched. He also installed a **new diverter tub spout** that seamlessly blended with our vintage fixtures, preserving the home’s original aesthetic while ensuring modern functionality. And then there was the **outdoor spigot**, which had been virtually abandoned due to severe corrosion. Chris brought it back to life, solving a problem we thought was beyond repair. Every step of the way, Chris was courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. If you’re lucky enough to book him for your plumbing needs, you’re in excellent hands. **O & M Plumbing is a rare find, and Chris is a true plumbing hero.** Highly, *highly* recommended.
O&M Plumbing was amazing. The upper hot water heater element had gone bad on our water tank. Easy DIY fix you're probably thinking right? I agree.. Only the element had fused to the tank and was not going to come out. After a few hours of trying, cursing and trying again I decided to reach out to a professional. I normally call 4-5 of Yelps top star plumbers when an issue comes up. I expect at least 1 to not return my call and 3-4 to tell me they can fit me in sometime next week and if I'm lucky one will be able to help in a reasonable time. O&M was a pleasant surprise when they not only picked up their phone, but told me they could be out the next day by 1pm. This was a great relief to us as we have a tween and hot showers have to happen.. or horrible things begin.. I was once again pleasantly surprised when O&M called on the next day and told me they would be there TWO hours ahead of schedule. Yes, two hours!! After trying to fix the existing tank failed we finally agreed that we would need a new heater. They were priced fairly, extremely quick to get the tank and parts and even faster to install the new tank. Within 3 hours we had hot water again (including going to get the tank) and our family can now rest easy knowing that our tween can bath once again. I would highly recommend O&M. They were enjoyable to talk to, informed and extremely polite. Thank You O&M!
I was one of these winter vortex houses that had busted plumbing, to make a long story short. I was having a tough time even getting plumbers to come to my house to give me an estimate for the whole house re-pipe. Two of Austin's bigger named plumber companies cancelled on me, five minuets before my "window," with one on a Monday and one on a Friday. I don't start relationships like that, so I don't reschedule. My brother in law owns a plumbing company in CA and I told him my woes and he found O & M on Yelp and told me to give them a call. I did and I'm so happy for it. Ben showed up Friday morning and on time, to give me an estimate and I told him I was looking for a relationship. I don't just what the wham bam thing, and that I wanted to feel comfortable. Ben walked the property with me and explained all and took the time to think about me needing an additional exterior water faucet and when I told him I'd be interested in a water softener system in the future, he suggested doing the piping now - which would be a great time/money saver. I'm so excited that they'll be able to start work in a week! Other companies were trying to quote me so high it was as if they were trying to dare me to give them the job! Looks like O & M is my plumbing Co and I'm sure I'll be recommending them to all. I have complete faith the work will be high quality. Thank you Ben!
I usually wait a few days after any work is completed before writing a review; I'm glad I waited this particular time. O&M came out to a rental property to review a small toilet leak. I ended up contracting them for more preventative work in the other bathrooms. It was a costly amount of work but O&M were reasonable about not overcharging (since I was "buying in bulk"). Initially the work seemed fine, but after checking a week later, the small leak was still there - they had not fixed the original issue :( I was very disappointed in this and reached out. The owner Ben got back to me and quickly made it a priority to personally investigate what was going on. He tried several different options but because of the age of the toilet, it was best to replace. I purchased a new toilet and he picked it up and installed it a couple days later at NO CHARGE. O&M went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I understand things may be missed at the first go round but I really appreciated the customer service and the honesty. I would recommend O&M if those are qualities you look for.
Reached out to O&M Plumbing, and was quite frankly the only plumbing service that reached out in a timely manner with a scheduled service call for issues related to our hot water tank. They were very reliable and had even made calls to make sure I was aware of their ETA on the diagnostic and the install days. Ben came out and was able to quickly diagnose our tank, and with Brian was able to quickly and effectively replace and solve the problem we were having (end of life issues with the tank). Even more amazing, although their main supplier was closed on the day of install (holiday issues), they took it upon themselves to buy a comparable tank from a big box store and threw in an expansion tank (to avoid water hammer) at no extra cost, even though they'd make less on account of the difference in price on the tank vs. their typical supplier. After install, Brian stayed behind and made sure I was satisfied with the install and explained the maintenance that I could do to extend the life of the tank. We really appreciate their help, and would gladly recommend!
