Good communication. No excessive charges. Knowledgeable. Installed whole house leak detection device and explained how to use app on phone . I bought Moen on Amazon and John installed
I can’t say enough good things about North Atlanta Plumbing! John, the owner, and Tyler are both incredible – professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. They replaced my old, leaky copper plumbing with modern PEX and did a flawless job. They also guided me through upgrading to a tankless water heater, which they installed in my garage perfectly. Their work is top quality, reliable, and reasonably priced, and they stand behind it with a guarantee. I feel so lucky to have such a skilled, trustworthy plumbing team on my side. If you need expert plumbers who truly care and get the job done right, North Atlanta Plumbing is the company to call!
This is the absolutely best plumbing service I’ve ever used. They are invariably good well priced delightful to work with and responsive totally when needed. So grateful to have them on speed dial. they cleaned out my full exit pipe did a back flush and fix my sinks more than once
The absolute worse contractor experience ever! Very questionable business practices in my opinion.I had the same experience but with a side of beyond rude from the mouthy owner (son Brandon Donahue of the old now retired owner Arthur Donahue) as the bad recent reviews .Most of the mostly great reviews were from when Arthur ran the company. (Also cute how they try to blame the previous owner for issues now on some reviews like they didn't know him).Arthur was great. He answered the phone on one ring, gave me the price on the phone, did a great job and even called after to make sure everything was good.Complete 180 from Brandon. Bobby their employee came out and I needed some new plumbing under and involving a few sinks. He told me it would be $199 that night (no repairs just looked)but applied to the estimate which Brandon would quickly give me. Bobby asked me what type of faucets I wanted and it was he said they pick it up and I pay them. That was fine. That was on 11.22. Then Rachel (Brandon's wife) and the everyone but Bobby ghosted me. It's always a bad sign when you repeatedly have to call a contractor. I called and so did my daughter no less than 4 times, I even emailed them. I texted them. I never got a price from them EVER. Finally on Nov.30 Rachel texted me back that she was putting me on the schedule for the next day 9 am Dec 1. and to have a faucet ready. That was less than one day notice with no pricing and not what I was told about the faucet. I texted that back and I was taking my daughter to the airport. She responded via text she would have Brandon give me the pricing that evening Nov 30. I also noticed on the receipt they emailed me that the $199 was for investigation and repair. So I brought that up to her. She texted sometimes the $199 includes the repair sometimes it doesn't (What???)Of course I received no pricing. Then they put Bobby up to calling me back. That was on Dec 1. He felt terrible but told me now they are no longer putting the $199 toward a visit and still didn't know the pricing and Brandon had to give it to me, also surprised re the faucet, said he didn't know what was going on. Then Brandon calls me literally screaming at me - bragging about all the properties he owns and how Bobby was at my house on Dec 1 at 9 am which makes no sense per the above but also a lie as i have a voicemail from him at 8:46 am asking me to call him back to iron out the details. He lives more than 45 minutes away but anyway per the vm clearly not at my house. I returned his call that afternoon and that's when I found out the above chicanery. Brandon's screaming, obnoxiousness and then threatening me made me realize they probably aren't on the up and up. I usually ask for a plumbing license, copy of liability insurance (they need this to operate in GA and only Arthur has one and he is the "previous owner" since 3.21 per them. Every plumber needs that comes to your home or biz needs a journeyman and or master plumber license in their name and liability insurance. Check GA law and the plumbing division at the ga secretary of state - you can look up who has a license etc. Home Advisor and Angies list manager (I have her name and number) informed me they were no longer allowed on as of July as they don't have the appropriate licensing and insurance. Also the code says they need a separate license to work with gas which explains that scary gas review. Hmmm. I am a senior and not in good health and feel taken advantage of. I really don't like having to spend my time reporting them to the BBB, chamber of commerce, ga sec of state, attorney general office etc Meantime my home deteriorated from the water leak they let me hang regarding. Btw, $199 is extremely high for a visit with no repair is almost unheard of in GA and maybe only a master plumber could charge that but usually wouldn't. Standard is free estimate, low cost to see the issue and or amount applied to the reasonably priced job. Again never even got the price for the job nor the repair. Clearly they should have refunded me to say the least.I will update this review if they return the $199 to say so.
A great price and a couple splendid personalities, BUT -- They came unprepared and had to leave to purchase some "transition items". Ragged work habits, showed no concern for carpet...evidence of their presence is now likely indelibly patterned. Carpet cleaning/replacement will negate their lower price. Materials residue scattered at base of new heater.
It is 2018 and the world continues to change in front of my face. I remember drinking water out of the hose attached to the side of the house after running three blocks with my male school mates. I played outside until dark and my Mother yelled out the front screen porch door that was not locked and I knew dinner was on the table. I grew up in a small town and we talked about sports, went to Sunday School and participated in the youth chorus on Sunday night. We watched Disney and Bonanza as a family. I remember getting my first bike not my first used car because I learned more about life while riding 5 miles to school because busing was not around. One of the most important things I connected to in my teen years was that we were poor and love kept us together as a family. I had to work 48 to 56 hours a week to pay my own way through college - And I did. Working in an office for more than 40 years, I have learned by the grace of God that we all put our pants on the way whether you are the janitor or the president. We all should have to work hard to be successful - some folks just have a bigger title but not a heart. I have come to a point (over 10 years ago) that I want to measure my net worth in friends not American dollars. All of my experiences have been priceless. I have been to over 35 countries and 47 of our United States. I have hosted customers at Super Bowls, National Championships in football, Final Four, World Series, the Stanley Cup, NBA Championships, Olympics, Ryder Cups and it goes on and on. What does all of the mean - well, today I experienced something that our culture had lost. Good old customer service and plus an honest company in Atlanta! For more than two months I have looking for a plumbing company to replace two hot water heaters in my home. I received in the mail Atlanta's Choice Savings Winter 2018 flyer last week. My wife and I had 4 estimates before the booklet and we just didn't feel right. The booklet had two more plumbing companies and I decided to call both of them. By the grace of God, I called and talked with Mr. Arthur Donahue in Woodstock. He has been in business based on our conversation for over 50 years. He taught me more in 15 minutes than all of the customer representatives or service representatives coming to our home with all the other companies. He knows Hot Water Heaters - PERIOD! Today our appointment was between 1 and 5 pm. I received a call at 12:15 from one of his sons. They were on the way to our home and should be there by 12:45 pm. I rushed home and they arrived at 12:44 pm. John and Brandon Donahue greeted me with "Mr. Jones!" And the rest is history - their work quality is second to none......They completed the job in 3 hours, cleaned up everywhere, reviewed their work, explained how to flush the hot water heater annually, showed me how to light the new equipment and waited 15 minutes after all the work was completed to ensure that all of the new heaters were working properly. On top of all of being placed back into time because of the learnings from their father, their prices were the best by more than several hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars. My advice is to look no further if you need any plumbing services - THEY ARE THE BEST AND SO HONEST. Thank you, Mr. Donahue for letting me relive today some of my past that I loved so much.
They put the health of our family at risk, I wouldn't trust them with yours. While replacing a gas water heater with an electric, they released natural gas throughout the house, forcing my pregnant wife to vacate for hours, and when they left they did not cap off the exhaust pipe opening they created when removing the old water heater, potentially exposing us to deadly carbon monoxide. In addition, they were wholly unresponsive throughout our entire process from scheduling to getting through the work completion. They were supposed to have an electrician come out to finish installing the water heater but that person never came, and it took a lot of effort to get a response from them to sort that out. So that left us without hot water for the day. The next day, without any communication, an electrician finally did show up, but wanted to install the wrong circuit breaker forcing me to do a quick search showing that the right circuit breaker was 8 minutes down the road at Home Depot. I had to run down and pay for it so that the job was done correctly. I get that things happen, and I gave them a lot of grace for mishaps up to install but not communicating with the customer is as unprofessional as you can get. I would not recommend using them at this time. Edit: As you can see, they replied to this review within an hour of me posting it. I wish they had been so responsive when I tried texting and calling them throughout the install and after it was finished about these issues. I guess I'm welcome to email or call them anytime but not expect a response.
I called after hours and the owner, Arthur Donahue, answered the phone. I had started a plumbing repair and things had gone wrong so I was left with no running water. Arthur's first concern was to help me figure out a way to restore water. He offered numerous practical suggestions as to ways to take care of my problem. At that point, though, I was just too beat and tired to deal with it so told him I could go without water overnight. He scheduled an appointment for 9:45 the next morning. His attitude and helpfulness was so impressive that I decided to go ahead and replace our 20-year-old water heater at the same time. Two workers showed up exactly on time the next morning, got my water back on, and installed the water heater as well as a pressure reducing valve. Replacing the pressure reducing valve also took care of a leaky tub faucet that I thought would be another repair job. All in all I was totally impressed with Arthur's genuine concern for helping me out (rather than just taking my name and number). He spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me. I have nothing but good to say about Arthur and his company. (His two workers, Matt and Red, were clean, well-spoken, courteous and did their jobs in a professional manner.) I also know that their prices are much more reasonable than others in the area. My son-in-law recently had some plumbing work done by another firm and he paid much more than I did! From here on, North Atlanta Plumbing is my plumber!
Wow’ed from the initial call! This was the 2nd company that I had out. Rachael was knowledgeable from the start, which instilled confidence, and they genuinely wanted to earn my business. I can’t say enough about Matt Smith and Danny. They arrived right on time and listened to the issues we were facing. They retested some things at their desire (no charge) to properly diagnose that my issue was a toilet valve and not my main pressure reducing valve. Significantly less of an issue than previously told, and less money too! (BTW, $395 vs. $505 for the PRV from one company to another). They could have just went with it, but instead focused on the the issue at hand. Having been screwed by others in the past, Matt and Danny created a fan in the process. Kudos for repping the company well!! The pricing was very straightforward from the initial conversation, to the published pricing on the website, as well as what was invoiced. I was never “upsold” through the process. Not only was the water heater a couple hundred dollars less, it included the thermal expansion tank, AND comes with a 10 year warranty (vs. only 6 with the other company). I honestly couldn’t wait to post a review, not because i thought that they would ask, but because I thought they went above and beyond. Thanks team!!

We arrived home from a 4 day trip to find out our hot water heater had a leak. This was late evening. We had a ad from North Atlanta Plumbing and More and called them on Sunday @9:30PM. Arthur Donahue answered the phone on the first ring! He told me that he would be able to get me a hot water heater installed the following day, but at the time was not sure when he could have a crew available. He advised he would call me in the early AM and give me a time. I was very pleased with this. At 8:30AM the following morning, as promised, he called and told me arrangements were made to have a crew there at 9:30AM! They arrived right on time. Both Bobby and Danial from North Atlanta Plumbing were great guys! They had my hot water heater installed in about 1-1/2 hours. They went over the installation and showed me how to operate it. Needless to say I was very impressed with both of them. They made sure I knew how to restart the pilot light if I ever need to. Mr. Donahue honored the ad price and I was more then pleased! Thank you North Atlanta Plumbing and More! I already recommended your service to both my sons and will pass this report onto our HOA!!
After 24 years we had a solidly blocked kitchen drain. The blockage went for about 15ft. I called a well know plumbing company that advertises on Radio, TV and bill boards etc. and are affiliated with a Heating and Air company. They charged a reasonable $50 estimate fee but the quote from them was $2400.00 to $2800.00 and couldn't guarantee that my carpet wouldn't be ruined. I wanted a 2nd opinion so at random and as luck would have it, I call North Atlanta Plumbing in Woodstock. Arthur (the owner) answered the phone and came out the next day to give me a FREE estimate. One of the first things Arthur said was that that they would protect our carpet with plastic. $800.00 + $85.00 to remove the garbage disposal later to which the mega company quoted $250.00 just for the disposal removal. The job was done in the time promised and they did a great job. Thank-you Arthur and sons great job.
Terrible people/terrible plumbers!!! Hired them to replace our old toilet with a new one that we purchased, still in the box. They obviously didn't know how to replace a toilet..After installation, and paying them $200, the toilet was so wobbly, the installation was worthless. They had cracked and broken the flange. It took them 3 days to come back....when they did, they pulled up the toilet and put it in our living room foyer. They broke the flange and didn't even know how to fix it. With the toilet sitting in our foyer, they said they had to leave to get a part at Home Depot...AND NEVER CAME BACK!!!! When they didn't show up after a few hours, we called the owner, (Art), and he said 'call someone else', and hung up on me!!! Paid $200, toilet left in the foyer, no toilet in bathroom!!!
Initial Service: I was very pleased with North Atlanta Plumbing. Brandon is a very talented guy with a competent team that repiped my entire house. They walked me through the procedure and gave me an idea of the work involved. I just bought my house about a month ago and discovered I had severe plumbing issues (copper pipes with pinholes and a terrible DIY job in the basement). NAP’s estimate was better than the competition and the warranties are exceptional. UPDATE: Beware this company is hard to reach and schedule appointments once you’ve had initial service. The owner has poor communication skills and won’t call you back. I called 3 times but got the run around. I guess I’ll call someone else. Disappointed.
I'm so glad I decided to call North Atlanta plumbing. I needed a water heater and was quoted between $2,200 and $3,200. I called North Atlanta plumbing and John (owner) quoted me $1,845 for the same water heater everyone else was overcharging me on. Not only did John save me money on my water heater, but he was kind enough to do a courtesy check on my fireplace to make sure I had no gas leaks. He came on a separate date and did a thorough checkup. Someone had previously told me I had a slight leak ($545.00 to fix) but John was honest and advised me there was no leak. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try. They're way cheaper than a lot of the companies out there, their honest and they do a great job.
