This company does beautiful work!! On time quick response to my needs. Litterly had to do sooo much work replacing the hot water heater in my apartment on top I'm having to install proper drainage out into the street for it because before there was no pan catching the condensation so it was just literally leaking into the foundation of the apartment. Their work is amazing, the gentleman and that came out cleaned up really well afterwards very courteous very nice. I would recommend this company hands down ! They came out for the estimate and they were here the next morning at 8:50 a.m. for a 9:00 appointment and work their butts off all the way to 6:00 p.m.!!! And now they got to come back and work on rebuilding all the whole drainage system for my bathtub.. I can't wait to see what they do next!! Thanks sooo much New Generation Plumbing!!You are all greatly appreciated!! 🫶🏼🙏🏻🙌🏻
We used New Generation for work on our new house and couldn’t be happier. Since we were based in New York for most of the process, Fernando replaced the boiler and took the time to walk us through every step over the phone. Martin also did a fantastic job reconnecting our kitchen after a mold remediation project, and he was always easy to communicate with and happy to explain everything clearly. We would gladly work with them again and highly recommend their services — they handled everything smoothly, even while we were away. Thank you for your hard work and patience!
New Generation Plumbing delivers top-quality service with professionalism and honesty. The technicians are skilled, friendly, and always arrive on time. They explain the problem clearly and complete the work efficiently. The pricing is fair, and the results are excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable and dependable plumbing services!
This provider tricked me with a low quote and when they came onsite, they tried to sell me tons of other jobs that I didn't need or requested. I know this is common practice in this industry, but others at least stated clearly that they "had to do a in-person consulting" (which was free, of course). I also know that they could usually get away with this business practice in that this kind of situation usually comes with urgency. I feel sad as a homeowner. Nonetheless, I'm also glad I can still find some other providers with clear and honest quotes upfront and then stick with them and follow through.
WARNING they do not repair water heaters, they will tell you your water heater is broken beyond repair and try to sell you an expensive new one. Our water heater stopped working suddenly, so I called New Generation Plumbing because they were closeby and had good reviews on Google. Jake said he could come to my house right away, which I thought was great. He was very nice but he complained about how hard it was to access the water heater. When I showed him the water heater he barely inspected it. Rather than getting his hands dirty and seeing what the problem was, he said off the bat that the water heater was too old (10 years), too low to the ground, too dirty, and that the structure protecting it was not properly built and that it was in the wrong place. He was quick to recommend replacing it with a new one for $3,800. I told him we couldn't afford that and he said he could see if he could get a replacement valve, but that it might not fix the issue and he wasn't sure they still sold that kind of valve. A few minutes later, he called me to tell me the valve was not available anywhere and all he could do was replace the water heater for $2,800. I then called a different plumber who had been recommended by a neighbor. Instead of trying to sell me a new heater, this new plumber inspected the heater and determined that only the valve was faulty, and that he could easily get a new valve. He was able to replace the valve without issue and we now have hot water again without having to replace the heater. New Generation Plumbing is just not reliable. It seems they care more about the profit from selling new water heaters than actually solving your issue.
Here's what you need to know if you're reading this review in a panic: We had a pretty serious mystery leak that we couldn't solve. Fernando from New Generation Plumbing arrived the same day and fixed a pretty serious blockage by clearing a pipe and replacing a section that ruptured. He and the crew that joined him got the job done in under three hours at a very fair price given the crappy circumstances. Now here's the long version: Before we plunge into this review, I need to set the stage: my wife is the sort of person who will call a professional at the first sign of trouble (in this case we had a very mysterious leak) while I'm the sort who will fall down the YouTube rabbit hole and try to fix things myself. This makes for an interesting dynamic, especially when the ceiling of your garage is suddenly leaking. New Generation Plumbing came at the recommendation of our neighbor who'd used them before and was very satisfied with their work. Fernando showed up the same day and on the early side of his arrival window. He got right to work in finding the cause of the leak and graciously listened to me as I recounted the steps I'd taken to find the leak, including cutting out a section of our garage's drywall ceiling to get a good look at the pipe I didn't know was on the other side. (This would have been his first move, btw.) This leak was a weird one because it came and went a few times over the course of a couple days and was bone dry when Fernando did his inspection. We went through and flushed all the toilets, ran all the sinks and showers, and double checked the areas around the dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine were all dry but there was nary a drip. It wasn't until we tried running the washing machine that water started spraying out of an otherwise good looking pipe. Turns out we had a blockage that was severe enough to rupture the pipe in a spot on its backside that would have been impossible to see. Oh, and this blockage was probably 20 years in the making to match the age of our house. Now that we found the source of the problem, Fernando gave us a quote that was a lot less worse than I would have guessed and got right to work. He called in some backup to give him a hand to clear that backed up pipe one 50 gallon container at a time and humored my attempts to play helper. In the end, it was probably a 2.5 hour job and we have a section of brand new pipe. While they were here, Fernando did a quick quote on what it would cost to add a "clean out" to that pipe. It runs the width of our house and connects to the line that leads to the city sewer. Adding a clean out would make fixing a future blockage much easer but would also require some pretty serious digging so we'll save that job for another time.
New Generation plumbing came through for me when I could not unscrew the corroded valves myself. A terrible drip had insidiously soaked the wood underneath my kitchen sink. The only reason I finally noticed it was because my hardwood floor panels were beginning to buckle. Being a fervent DIY homeowner, I only cave in and call contractors when I must surrender. Since I had no idea who to ask for help, I consulted Yelp and went down the list of highly rated plumbers. None could come within two days (without an exorbitant fee) except for New Generation. Their fee was standard and without additional express service charge. Pilar at New Generation was very responsive and communicative, setting up the appointment and then giving me a 10-min notice call as Fernando and Hector headed towards the site of these nefarious valves. Fernando let me know that I would need to replace my kitchen faucet assembly as well, because the severe corrosion would require him to break the nut and that getting a replacement connector was going to be very hard on this 10-year-old Kohler, which probably also had corrosion inside, so I might as well get a new one. Fernando and Hector changed the other valves swiftly for the quoted price. This additional advice was free. I did some further research online about the similar situation, because Kohler price tags are no joke, with other users and Fernando was right. When the new Kohler faucet arrived, Juan and Sam came this time to install it. I swear, watching them, I knew why my DIY persistence failed. The way that Sam used the wrench to release the grip of San Gabriel Mountain mineral corrosion was artful, feeling his way through the situation, between force and angling, in a very tight space under the large sink basin. I asked him later about his wrestling technique, and he chalked it up to experience. Soon enough, I had a new functioning faucet and no drip. One and a half months later, the faucet seemed to loosen from its base, where it met the counter. I called New Generation, knowing that quite some time had passed. Pilar made an exception and had Juan and Sam come again. They noticed the looseness and really locked it in this time. Sam said, don't push too hard and loosen it. I thought to myself, my strength is no match to theirs so I doubt it would ever loosen again, and 8 months later, it is still strong. Thank you New Generation.
I had a bathroom sink drain that was repeatedly getting clogged. When Roto-Rooter told me I needed to either descale the Drain, or line it with epoxy, to get it fixed (two very expensive options), I decided to get a second opinion. That's when I called New Generation Plumbing. Reception was very helpful and sent Martin and his associate over right away. Martin suggested replacing the Bathroom Sink Drain Line all together and had a brilliant solution that didn't involve breaking any of the beautiful bathroom tile. Every time I hear the sound of the sink drain, it's like music to my ears! $1,800 well spent. I also want to add that once Martin gave me a very reasonable solution for the drain, I also asked him to assess a secondary issue which was why our home was getting an unusual amount of flies. After impressive investigation, he identified that part of our sewer drain was disconnected. He suggested a spot repair and talked me through how it would work. I agreed, and he and the team began work on this the same day as the Bathroom Sink Drain! To repair the sewer drain issues, the technicians made a 4x4-feet square by 4-5-feet deep to expose the existing sewer line and replaced a section with new ABS. The technicians connected to the vertical clay line using heavy duty transition band and installed a secondary clean-out. While they were down there, they also opted for reinforcing the super old concrete sewer pipe that connects our house to the street's sewer system. Martin, Jose, and team completed all of this work within two business days, which was really impressive. I have worked with multiple plumbing companies in the past and what sets New Generation Plumbing apart is their great communication, fair pricing, and trustworthiness. What more could you ask for? I'd give more than FIVE STARS if I could.
Per my homeowner's insurance requirements, I needed to install a new 1" Moen Flo water leak detection device at my house. So I interviewed and compared several licensed plumbers and in the end New Generation Plumbing provided a great price and great customer service and they were very responsive. The owner Jacovo or Jake showed up at my house in person to give me an estimate on the same day (Saturday) that I called them. They charged me a total of $700 for their labor, about 4' of new copper pipes, 1 new pressure relief valve and 1 new pressure gauge. Several days ahead of time, I had educated myself about the entire process by watching YouTube videos and spoke to my friend and my insurance agent. About 2 weeks ahead of the install, I bought the Moen leak detection device from their website. My insurance company required the following: a letter from my licensed plumber after the job was completed, the paid receipt showing the licensed plumber license number, etc.. Those 2 documents were emailed to me by New Generation Plumbing on the same day after the Moen device was installed at my house. I would never have installed that device if my insurance company did not require it. Anyways, long story short, I would recommend New Generation Plumbing to anybody who needs to get their water leak detection device installed at their house. Thank you to Juan and Mark for a great job of installing the device.
New Generation Plumbing is the best! I've had a leak in an outdoor pipe in my backyard and it was not only pooling water around my backyard trees but also leaking into my neighbor's yard. Fernando from New Gen Plumbing came out a few hours after I called, on a Saturday, studied three sets of valves around my front and back yard and pretty quickly found the problem: a leak in a pipe somewhere beneath the ground, connected to a water source near my garage. When he shut off the valve and turned it back on, he could hear a hiss of air which indicated a leak. He said it would cost several hundred to find the leak in the underground pipe, excavate the backyard to get to it and seal it off. Or he could just turn off the valve. Shutting down the source that provides water for my backyard sprinklers would mean I would have to hand water the trees but he said he wanted to give me all options. I said we would probably re-landscape our backyard at some point at which time we could redo all of the piping/sprinklers etc. so I decided to just turn off the valve for now and save some bucks. There was no charge for this service, Fernando told me with a smile. (Another plumbing firm I contacted was going to charge me $199 just to come out on a Saturday to diagnose, plus more to fix.) New Generation Plumbing is an excellent company that really puts customer service front and center. I highly recommend them!
I called New Generation Plumbing after dealing with three terrible leaks that were damaging walls in the house. Jimmy came out the very next day and gave me a free estimate. After speaking with them, I scheduled the work, but then realized I needed the repairs done sooner. I called them back, and without any problem, they moved everything around and scheduled me for the following day. Their team completed all the work quickly and professionally, and the quality of the work was very solid. What impressed me most was their follow-through. After the job was completed, one of the water heaters in the house wasn't turning back on. I called them, and they immediately came back out and fixed the issue to make sure everyone had hot water before leaving. Their pricing was also very reasonable for everything that had to be done. I received three different quotes, and New Generation Plumbing came in with the most reasonable pricing while still providing professional, quality work. I've dealt with other plumbers before who did terrible work, and hands down, New Generation Plumbing has been the most professional plumbing company I've worked with. They were responsive, honest, efficient, and truly on top of everything from beginning to end. I will absolutely use them again for any future plumbing needs, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, professional plumbers.
I have used New Generation for projects small (faucet install, toilet fix) and large (rerouting my plumbing!) and I've never been disappointed. From the front office to professional plumbers on site the service is always professional and done right. I've had the same crew out to my house multiple times and they ALWAYS remember my house and its little quirks. Most recently Tony and Jose (and crew) rerouted a large portion of my plumbing to discontinue the use of the original (1920s!) cast iron pipes that were crumbling due to age and massive tree-root invasion. The project was something I've been putting off for years, and I've had multiple plumbers weigh in on it. I finally moved ahead because Tony and Jose approached my situation creatively and used ingenuity and solid engineering to solve the problem in a way that offers extra benefits (i.e., allowing me to add plumbing to my old one-car garage more easily in the future). And at an extremely competitive price. In addition to rerouting plumbing and adding new ABS they also lined the cast iron from my sidewalk, connecting to the city main. So that is rehabilitated too! I'm thrilled will the result and so happy to have this project completed. New Generation is on speed-dial for all my plumbing needs. I trust them and am grateful for all the personal service. Thank you!!
Good plumbers who show up are hard to find. I've tried dozens of plumbers and companies off yelp and recommendations. This group is unique where they're great communicators, effective problem solvers, task oriented, and genuinely nice people. I had them add clean out valves to a tankless and they were flawless throughout the process. Jake made sure all the right parts were used and lined up a great technician who did a great job on the install. They troubleshoot and are effective. The technician, Jimmy, stuck around and mentioned when he turned on the water he heard what he recognized as high water pressure in the pipes and to check the water pressure regulator on the unit. The condo shared this and we found out this is in fact an issue the HOA was having with the entire building. They have someone replacing it now but the fact that after the job was done Jimmy mentioned what he felt wasn't right, was awesome. You'd be surprised how many plumbers get in, do the thing, and bounce. Or try and upsell you on stuff, they seemed to be in it to make sure it's right. I truly appreciate that. Strangely enough, shortly after, I had another plumbing emergency and Jake was on it. They're scheduled to fix the issue first thing tomorrow and Jake gave me a great price. Can't ask for better. Will be calling them again.
Giving them two stars for being prompt and able to come out quickly. But thoroughness was not their strong suit. Had called for a leak in the basement under my shower tub, I was concerned that it was leaking after use so maybe the drain was leaking. They came and after doing their initial assessment, they quoted me 1200 to replace the tub waste and overflow as the source of the leak. I thanked them for their time and was going to get a second evaluation. They casually mentioned that the rats love the plastic pex tubing and those leaks can pop up out of nowhere. I didn't think anything of it. Fast forward a day, a second plumber came out and said the tub waste drain and overflow was fine and that it was actually the pex tubing right above and next to the tub with a linear scratches on it, maybe from rats, and that was the source of the leak as he could see water spray marks on the adjacent wood. He fixed it and no more leaks. I can only imagine that if I had New Generation do an unnecessary replacement of my tub waste drain and overflow, only to have a leak still, and then have to pay more for fixing the actual problem. Maybe it was just a bad day or one off for them since I had called them due to the great reviews, but consumers be vigilant.
Had them install a tankless water heater to replace a big broken tank. Super friendly, very responsive, easy to schedule. I would certainly recommend them overall. A couple negative things: it was only after I agreed to the project that they told me there would need to be additional electrical work (performed by a different person) which would have been useful when deciding between a tankless (which it felt like they were pushing hard) or a simple replacement. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it didn't feel great to learn about the additional costs only moments after agreeing to the estimate. Furthermore, I was disappointed with the placement of the tank, which ended up on the front of my house, far higher on the wall (and with more exposed pipe leading up to it) than anticipated. I recognize that there aren't a ton of placement options. but the company downplayed how visible it would be. I had been considering installing the tank indoors, which would've meant more work in terms of pipes but a nicer aesthetic, and they talked me out of it by saying that putting the unit on the front would be better. Seeing it now, I wish they'd been more clear about how it would be positioned. This isn't entirely their fault, but something to keep in mind.
