Pascual came and did a speedy and wonderful job fixing our bathroom sink plumbing that was leaking. He was patient to find the problem since it is a slow leak but definitely there, and was quick in fixing it in less than an hour. He had a cheerful personality too and was considerate to take his shoes off when he came in. Thanks Pascual!

Ian came out to assess a kitchen clog we couldn't fix. Not only was he personable, but he also figured it out quickly and uncloggd our pipes. He also provided great advice on how to avoid deep clogs in the future. We used Mr. Rooter before and will definately use them.again. Highly Recommended.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Keyfer and Dillion. Outstanding experience. Keyfer was extremely thorough when explaining the possible solutions, stand out guy. Once we settled on a solution he got right to work showing me what had caused the problem. He was also training Dillion at the time who was also very nice, Keyfer did a great job of describing the steps to Dillion and verifying his understanding. I hope to not have any further plumbing issued but if I do I will call Keyfer in the future, thanks gents.

Called for an appointment and got one quickly. They would not provide a price even though the guy that came had a price book with fixed prices. $350 to run a camera through the drain. Originally he told me that it would be $500 but I told him I wouldn't pay more than $300. So he said he would do the camera work for free. He ran a camera through the drain and showed me some roots. Told me that it would cost extra ($250) to remove toilet and snake out the the roots. At this point it seemed like a big ripoff and I told him I would handle the clog myself. Lesson learned: Don't call someone on a workday after you just got up and try to solve the problem while you're still sleepy. If you know a good plumber just call them and pay their hourly rate to figure out whats wrong first and then proceed.

Before you hire this firm to do any digging in your main sewer line, they will quote you a price for just using their camera to determine the cause. My previous plumber, said a camera use would have cost $125. This firm charged me $500. However since my plumber was not available I had to pay the $500 or have it included in the $3,600 for digging up the source of the blockage. Looking back, I should have just paid the $500 and waited for my plumber who would have charged me $1,200 for the digging, thereby saving me $2,300. If your blockage has cleared wait and get an estimate for the camera use and get an estimate for the digging. Also, don't get their recommendation of using American Water Damage. The manager came in and tore up the baseboard and carpet believing insurance would cover it all. DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. INSURANCE REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE HE DID.

WARNING: LONG I sent an inquiry on their website to have them come visit my home on 1/21/19 for a leaking sink. That appointment was confirmed on the phone 5 minutes after the inquiry, but no one showed on that day. It turns out that whoever scheduled my appointment set it for 1/21/20. I let it go and had them come that Wednesday instead (1/23/19). Idiocy, but fine. They did their inspection and provided the quote that I agreed to, and then they stated they would come back the next day to complete the work. The tech told when he diagnosed it that he could be there between 2-4 the next day. He said whatever his job was that morning wouldn't run over. I knew I couldn't after 4pm that day and told him as much. He ensured that the job wouldn't take 2 hours, which is why I was fine with scheduling it. The company told me afterwards that they aren't sure they can make scheduled appointment times because they don't know what a client's problem will be until they inspect it. True, but then maybe, just maybe, they should tell their techs not to tell clients a specific time if they themselves aren't sure they can make it. Obviously, he didn't make the specified time frame, and I was rescheduled again for the following Monday (1/28/19). The work was finally completed on that day and the technician told me I could use the sink immediately. Surprise, it continued to leak the next morning. I called AGAIN after that to have someone come back out and look at the repair, at which point I was told someone would come later that day. AGAIN, no one showed up. They called me at 5pm to tell me they weren't sure they could send someone that day. At least someone who wasn't the original technician that I for obvious reasons did not want to see. Stop telling clients times if you can't meet them. It is NOT difficult. At this point, after THREE no-shows (and 1.5 days of lost vacation time at work), I called Benjamin Franklin to fix the problem, which they did the next day. That technician told me the puddy wasn't even the issue; the pop assembly was replaced that correctly fixed the problem. They attempted to fix Rooter's puddy job and tightening everything, but it unfortunately didn't work. I let them go that route first before the assembly was inevitably replaced in hopes I didn't need to get the part, but they did state it was the likely outcome. The Benjamin Franklin tech even told me verbatim that the manner in which the puddy was applied by Mr. Rooter would cause me to replace the piping if there is further problem. Fantastic. A plumber who literally made your plumbing worse. I also had them replace a fill valve on another toilet. The problem for that came back after a couple weeks as well. I ended up replacing that myself instead of calling for a warranty repair. I frankly wasn't sure anyone would come. They said they would meet me "halfway" and give me $150 back. My bill was for $430. They can't even do math correctly. Halfway of a $430 bill that they essentially did nothing on isn't $150. What it essentially amounts to is that I called Rooter out to my house, was told an estimate, and declined it. Both "jobs" they performed were fixed by people other than them. Why call for warranty work when you don't know if they'll come, and then you have to take even more time off for someone who's given you ZERO indication you can trust or rely on them? I gave them one opportunity to fix it again when I really shouldn't have, and they still missed it. It isn't your job to accommodate a company continuously into your schedule without guaranty they will come. Not for something you are paying them for. I literally provided the invoice/receipts in my complaint that reflects that I did in fact have the parts replaced/repaired after their work and they turned a blind eye. It was ALL there. How convenient for them to blatantly ignore everything since it explicitly shows how they misdiagnosed my issue. And they seriously still can't understand why I wouldn't want their shit company back in my home for warranty work? What's the point in calling for warranty work when they don't show up? How many chances is a company that's shown to be completely incompetent supposed to be given? They know if they were in my shoes that they wouldn't allow someone who's treated them the way they treated me and my time back into their home either. They didn't even try to address my (completely valid) points in my last response email. And I have all correspondence if anyone wants to read it to see. Apparently, they don't realize they're essentially admitting fault for it all but refusing to do the right thing? So now I will share it with anyone who wants to read it. DO NOT use these guys. You can't trust them as far as you can throw them. Give Benjamin Franklin a call and have your work done correctly and on time.

Horrible Experience. At first, the interaction with the technician was great, anyone could tell very quickly from having a conversation with him, that he was very knowledgable. I was dealing with a broken sewage pipe under a new patio I had just finished building and I knew that repairing this was going to be tricky. The Mr Rooter technician suggested that we cut a 3x3 space in the newly poured concrete so that he could get under the patio to do a spot repair. This technician first quoted me $3,900 to have the concrete cut, the hole dug and the spot repair completed. For all of that work, that price actually seemed to be fair. Since this was a very important matter (until this was to be fixed, we couldn't use two of our full bathrooms) I decided to make the deposit of just over $1,000 so we could get the work scheduled, this is what I was told we had to do in order to get a project started. Before beginning, I wanted to speak with my patio contractor to make sure everything would be okay. She was afraid that if we were to do that, some support might give out as there was a stone fire pit about 6 feet long right above where the spot fix needed to happen. After exploring other options of how to get around having to cut the concrete, we decided that it was really the only logical path to go down. This is where the issues and dishonesty of the company began to come alive. Once I notified the technician that we would like to take the offer and began on the agreed upon project, he said he would have to now come back out and re-estimate the work. Very strange, right? When he shows up, he now says the work will not be $3,900 but, it will be closer to the mid $5,000 range. Keep in mind, at this point nothing has changed. This was very unsettling for multiple reasons, 1. This was clearly a rip-off tactic, 2. I had my contractor agree to cut the concrete for me, out of the $3,900 estimate I was given, this was a $1,099 line item cost. 3. They already had my over $1,000 deposit that I could not get back even though they hiked up the estimate substantially. But wait, It gets worse. Once the diggers show up, they don't bring enough tarp to fully secure the patio area and they leave dirt and filth everywhere. That didn't bother me all that much. What bothered me is when they were scraping their shovels recklessly to fill the hole back in, they were dragging their shovels against new stone stairs, scratching them up very badly and causing damage (all because they did not put tarp down). When I confronted them and the Mr Rooter technician about it, the Mr Rooter technician became very defensive and argumentative. He began to walk around the backyard to areas far away from where the work was being done and began saying that there are cut marks all over the stone work in other places (absolutely not true). When I disagreed with him about that, he began with very sarcastic remarks, like "I cant bubble wrap the whole house". He then proceeded to tell me that he felt like me complaining about this "was a slap in the face" and that "he's been trying to help me". I'm sorry, in case I missed something, I am paying Mr Rooter to be here, this is not volunteer work. After our bad ending to the day he went to get the paperwork for completion and then began admitting that the diggers had done wrong and apologized and said that he uses them all the time and that they have never done anything like that before. Sounds like an admission of guilt to me.. I asked multiple times to speak with a supervisor, his answer to me was that since it was late and they were gone from the office, that someone he already spoke with would be calling me first thing in the morning. That was a lie. No one called. I have followed up with their office after filing a formal complaint and I still have not received a call. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

As I sit here on a call with the "gentleman" named Thomas who is handling inbound calls for Mr Rooter (after he hung up on me once before) He's telling me that if my intent is to file a complaint upon completion of work he wouldn't be honoring the warranty from the horrid work Pasquale. There is a "60 Day Warranty" on their OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED WORK. We were charged a total of $675.00 for a drain clean out and a "camera" to be run which we were NEVER shown and footage off. When I mentioned "Could it be from flushable wipes..? He instantly saw a glimmer of hope and clung onto that as a cause! It was almost comedic when it happened how he lit up like "YES..this is how we get them" As a new home owner having a drain clean out service seemed like something almost normal. But the fact that work was done 3/10/2023 and we are now on 4/29 as it's happened again is wild. There are two people who live here and we don't make poor decisions when it comes to what is flushed and such. What's really interesting is when we asked Pasquale "Does the drain clean out lid need to be shut?" He insisted NO! I told him I'd never had one before being in apartments all my life and told him I was seeking guidance but he obviously knew what he was doing. Prepped up for the next clog. Left that sucker right open. Do yourself and favor and don't believe the fabricated reviews from their friends and family. Out of now 96 reviews we all know the fact that they are at 1 star speaks volumes. If I had come to Yelp before using their services I can assure you we would have never made this mistake so I hope we can save you from this nightmare! To add insult to injury, after having Thomas hang up on me and attack me verbally he put me on a long hold and came back and offered to charge me 99.50 to come out tonight...leaving us NO CHOICE but to pay. This review I'm hoping saves you from this joke of a company. Call Mr Local Plumber and save yourself the headache. Cut to 3 hours later and we spoke with Lewis "The Receptionist" who for 15 minutes tip toed around the fact that he said he works at a desk in a office building and just takes inbound calls and submits requests into a system. He had no record of my ever giving my credit card number to Thomas (so now I need a new card before Thomas does fraud on my account) and Lewis "the receptionist" still has no idea if the emergency call we made at 4:00 was ever made. In fact he found it comical he couldn't help me and eventually just put me on hold and never came back. Then we have Kevin call. (He works for an after hours company) Here's the TWIST... So how Mr rooter works is they offer up to a 60 day guarantee on the work they provide (so they say) BUT ONLY AND I STRESS ONLY if the SAME person comes back to essentially further damage the first job he did. Kevin explained that even if we paid the $99.50 emergency charge he had to charge us in FULL in order to then submit for a reimbursement later. The ONLY and ONLY glimmer of hope in this is the fact that Kevin took initiative which NO ONE ELSE has (Thomas and Lewis ) and called his counterparts at work and they advised they would allow him to come and handle the issue and they would essentially take it up with Mr Rooter and Pasquale. This has been an absolute nightmare and I can't wait for it to be over.

I am not sure why others have given such bad reviews. I can't say the prices are the best as I have nothing to compare them to. But when I had my insurance adjuster out to see if they could help cover the cost, he said that for as much as they had to dig up he did not believe we were being overcharged. With that said, a toilet was lifting up from the floor in our front bathroom and it would gurgle when water was run in other drains. When the plumber came out they ran a camera though the outside access. They saw roots in the pipes (they let me look) and the camera went under water more than twice. The drain pipes were ancient. They were still made of concrete and were in poor shape. Some were leaking under the foundation and there was quite a bit of waste water under our home. The plumber, Donny, explained everything and did not sugar coat the cost. They started work pretty much the next day and kept us informed of everything that was happening. They tried extremely hard for the repairs not to impede our daily lives and did a really good job. Can I say I loved to pay what we paid to have the work complete? No, I am not insane. but the work needed to be done or it would eventually do more damage to the plumbing and the foundation. I can't say that I wouldn't have charged as much or more for everything they did. I saw some of the roots they pulled from beneath the house. They were huge. It took them about a total of 6 days to complete the work, but they strived to work around our schedule. When we were concerned about an item, the plumber came back and took a look to ensure it was good to go even after the work was completed. They were nice and professional and I really don't have anything bad to say about them. I would call them again if I need more work done. I feel they will take care of me right THE FIRST TIME. So many contractors here don't seem to care. This one did. On a final note I would give them 5 stars but can't really judge the price as I don't have anything to compare it to. Other than that we have no complaints and were very satisfied.

Beware! These "good reviews" are fake! See their Yelp reviews and the Better Business Bureau before hiring these guys. They are a total scam! It cost me approximately $1000 for them to basically come out and break my toilet. I called them on a Saturday evening as a toilet sewage was coming up from the drainage and going into the shower. I talked to an answering service that said it would be $90 for the plumber to come out, however they would apply the $90 towards whatever needs to be done to correct the issue. 2 hours later, I get a call stating that the answering service was wrong and that it is approximately $180. So, by that time it was too late and no other company was answering their phone. The plumber goes out to the property and calls me back after inspection and states to me that they don't get up on the roof for cleanouts as they needed to go thru the air stack to do the clean out. Therefore, he wanted to charge me $180 just to come out and tell me that. He then gave me a different option that would cost more expensive of removing the toilet and cleaning out the drain for a total of $780 for an hour (additional fees if longer than an hour). By that time, I had no option but to go with it because he was going to charge me $180 just to tell me that they didn't get up on the roof. Now get this, approximately 20 mins later, the plumber calls me back and states he broke my toilet and that he would credit me approximately $100 for breaking my toilet (which ended up costing me an additional $300 to replace and install a new one). Lastly, 3 days later, we start to have the same issues with the drain and had to call a different company to come out and do the job correctly. After the new company did the cleaning, I paid them to camera the drain to make sure that the only issue was a clogged pipe. It came back that the issue was a clogged pipe and that Mr. Rooter did not fix the issue. So basically, it cost me almost $1,000 for Mr. Rooter to come out and break my toilet. You have been warned! This company is a complete scam!

As many have said, zero stars would be the most appropriate rating. DO NOT EVER CALL THIS CON ARTIST PLUMBING COMPANY!!! I called with a clogged washing machine drain line. The tech showed up and saw the age of our house (late 50's vintage) and must have seen dollar signs. He immediately started talking about how these old houses have cast iron pipes and they can corrode and would need total replacement. He then got the camera out to look in our drain and saw a cast iron p-trap and immediately said it must have collapsed. He then used a drum auger to make two attempts at clearing the clogged drain. The auger was getting locked up and started twisting around. He showed me all this to make a point of showing me that this was failing and nothing could be done. He then went on to say that the sanitary line would then need to be up-sized to meet code requirements so we would need to do a total replacement of the sanitary line from the kitchen and laundry area. He then provided an estimate of $15,796.32 to do this work. I did also point out the main clean-out near the street and the kitchen clean-out to the tech but he never opened either. I had another plumber out the next day for a second opinion. They used a pistol auger and were able to make headway in the clog. They then opened the kitchen clean-out and snaked from that side as well. They even opened up the main clean-out to ensure there were not issues from that side. With an hours worth of effort they were able to fully clean our line and leave us in better shape with our entire drain line with all of their effort. For two techs working this long they only charged me $175. Their tech, however, after telling me the sky is falling when he put in 5 minutes of effort, charged me $286.17. I cannot help but feel scammed. I paid a ton of money for next to no work to then have him try to up sell me on SIXTEEN THOUSAND dollars worth of work. I am stunned by this charade.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I will this time. Don't be confused by the bait and switch this particular outfit engaged in with me. I hired Mr Rooter to come out and assess the situation, a small leak in my main line. The individual who came out was nice and pleasant, but really didn't know how to assess or locate a very small leak in the line. In fact, it was stated that his company didn't even have equipment necessary to really do so. Despite that, he recommended somebody else coming out with more experience, but not a master plumber, to try to assess the situation. One hour was nearly $550. He originally wanted almost 1100 for an initial two hours, which I did not feel comfortable paying for. I told him to figure it out in one. Unfortunately for me, my house is very unique and I think they bidded their subsequent so-called and insane repair bid at $21,500 based on the appearance of what I can afford. I will NEVER recommend this company. In fact, I will suggest people not to hire them for anything. They should be ashamed of themselves. They should get back to honest billing if they want to survive. If not, they should be shut down permanently. For the $550 bill, it was $250 per hour for the one who didn't know what he was doing and $350 per hour for the other one. A master plumber doesn't even charge that. But out of desperation, virtually, everybody is willing to pay whatever it takes to get the repair analyzed and hopefully done. Hopefully everybody else will read this review before ever considering this company. Be aware. And don't be taken like I was. I have already enlisted the services of a master plumber who I anticipate his total aggregate fees being only around $500-$1000, not $21,500. And I will update with what his total bill is once he completes the job tomorrow

I only wish I had come to this page before. Mr. Rooter does not care about repeat business. They are expensive and the owner/managers only care about the short-term buck. You just need to look at their Facebook page--it is all from Mr. Rooter, or customers who have had a bad experience. A Mr. rooter plumber came to my house to clear my kitchen drain. There were two problems that day: 1. The snake machine Mr. Rooter supplied was broken so the technician had to use a smaller drill version which could NOT clear the drain. In the process, he used this "work-around" tool and snaked towards the kitchen breaking my u-bend pipe. I did not recognize this issue for a couple of days. 2. He fixed the proper clean-out tool on my front porch but got a lot of grease spots on the concrete. I actually felt sorry for the plumber, his company sends him out with faulty equipment and he has to fix it. He got the drain cleared and I paid the appalling sum of $275 for the service. (I agreed to it but it was late friday afternoon and I had little choice.) So Sunday when I am doing dishes I realize water is pouring out the sink from the u-bend. This was OBVIOUS how it was damaged. This $2.77 part was never meant to be snaked with a tool of this type. You can see how it scraped through the part and cracked it at he bend. Moreover--this was NOT the problem area. I understand that things can go wrong--grease and breakage--but when I called this morning, the dispatcher explained to me that nothing they use could have broken that part and that he'd be happy to send someone out, but that they'd most likely have to charge me. When I asked for a referral of a product that I could use to get the grease off of my patio--he hung up on me!! Can you believe it? DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

I had the best experience with Mr. Rooter. I woke up Easter morning and came downstairs to my dining room and kitchen flooded. I called Mr. Rooter and they said someone would be out 11:15 am. At 10:55 am, Ian Ontiberoz, with Mr. Rooter showed up. He was absolutely fantastic! He immediately turned the water off so no more water would leak. He located where the leak was coming from. He determined it was the hot water pipe because the water was hot from the leak. So he turned the water back on but shut the hot water off so I would at least have water. He called restoration team for me so they could get the water cleaned up and getting fans going. The restoration team was there within an hour. The cleaned up the water and got the fans and dehumidifier going. At least that put my mind at ease. The next day, Ian was there first thing in the morning with another technician, David Couder. They determined that the leak was coming from under the slab. They said instead of tearing up my kitchen floor, they would have an excavator come out and dig a tunnel outside under the slab. David and Ian were so great with communication Both were always keeping me up to date of what was going to happen and what was going on. This was a very frustrating situation and Ian and David made it less stressful for me. I couldn't ask for better service. Ian and David were so knowledgeable and very easy to talk with. They fixed the leak. Both of them were here everyday till the leak was fixed. Ian and David did a fantastic job and because of these two, I will be using Mr. Rooter from now on and requesting these two. I couldn't ask for better service than from Ian and David. Thank you so much Ian and David.

Customers Beware!!!! PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE!!!! Do not do business with this company!!!!! On a Friday morning, my wife called Mr. Rooter to fix a clogged drain in our laundry area. (She called our "regular" plumber first, but he was too busy. Because we were hosting out-of-town guests that weekend, he reminded her that a simple de-clogging could be handled by one of the "drain rooter" companies. Boy, did we learn our lesson!!!) Mr. Rooter's employee showed up, quickly looked at the drain, and said that the drain pipe was definitely clogged. He used the drain snake (auger) to unclog and was finished in about 15 minutes--a VERY routine plumbing procedure. As he was packing up his equipment, I arrived and met him in our kitchen where he presented the bill: It was for $550.17!!!!!!!! Needless to say, we could NOT believe it!! We asked him about the outrageous costs, and he gave us a very incoherent and doubtful explanation--said it took "special equipment," the flat-rate pricing is set by his company, etc. So, we asked him to confirm the price with the central office/dispatcher. He became angry and very belligerent at that point, and said there was no use talking with the dispatcher because HE (the apprentice plumber) was the owner and she worked for him!!!! (Obviously, not true.) At that point, we tried to keep him calm, but we felt very threatened by his aggressive gestures/language. This "negotiation" continued for almost 30 minutes. We finally called Arlington PD because we were concerned for our safety. They told us to go ahead and make payment (via phone) and then dispute the charges later which we will definitely do!!!
