Brian Gaschk, what can I say…Amazing! Thank you to Mr. Holland’s and Brian for restoring my power after a tree branch ripped the electrical mast off my house on a Friday afternoon. To have power back on a Saturday afternoon meant the world to me. Highly recommended service! A++
George was a very knowledgeable tech. After his inspection he explained everything that he found. He had taken pictures to insure that we knew and totally understood what his results had shown. I would definitely recommend both George and Mr. Holland's Home Services. Excellent employees. Make sure that you retain these good employees.
Do not use Hollands. Ever since they were bought by PE their service techs are unreliable , dishonest and not knowledgeable. We had the club membership that included AC/furnace tuneups annually and a discount off any services needed. During my last two tuneups on my furnace there have been issues according to their techs. The first time the tech came for a tuneup was there for hours, then told me a part was broken and my furnace wouldn’t work but it had been working fine prior to him being there. They told me we needed a new part that would cost about $1K… very sketchy (Hollands fixed it no charge… ) Recently I was told by George that our furnace was deemed unsafe due to high CO PPM. And he shut off my furnace same day and told me it would be 1-3 weeks to get a new heat exchanger and they suggested due to age that we get a new furnace. I said so I would be without heat for 1-3 weeks waiting for a part? He said yes. But we could have a new system put in in days. He and Brett their sales guy were very pushy about this. I had a different hvac company out the next day for a second opinion and he told me my furnace was absolutely fine and in good working order!! Hollands uses scare tactics and misleading information to gain sales. Please consider going elsewhere. As a homeowner I’m disgusted that in trying to have peace of mind and maintain my home I am instead lied to.
I had contacted Mr Holland because our floor drain was backing up in the basement and I assumed that there was a blockage at some point in our city lateral. The scheduler was very helpful and was able to get a plumber out in less than 24 hours. I couldn't be more impressed with the technician that came out. Josh was very friendly, professional, and transparent in everything he did. He was able to find and clear the blockage in less than 1.5 hours. Awesome. The downside to the whole experience, as it often is with a bigger company, is the price. I strongly feel that $700 dollars for this service is much too high given average rates for plumbers, as well as a trip charge. My advice to a homeowner considering Mr Holland. If you have a plumbing issue and need it resolved quickly and correctly, use them; however, if you have the luxury of time and the ability to shop around for a lower cost, do that. 5/5 rating for the plumber's friendliness and professionalism, 1/5 rating for the overall cost.
Mr hollands has been great so far. They are a little loose with their time estimates but they have patience and will be reasonable. They won’t be the cheapest option but their techs are amazingly competent and professional and will not leave you worried about the finished work. So overall price is high, but reflects their quality of workmanship.
