Todd, my Technician was great! He took the time to help me understand all that would need to be done. Very kind, polite and professional. He unclogged the washer line in my garage and did not leave til he knew I was very satisfied. I was a little surprised with cost but was the first time having it done, and had to have it done, and Todd didn't pressure me at all about the cost.

The Midway Plumbing staff was impressive from start to finish. Absolute best Customer Service, from Renee who took my initial request for service and kept me updated every step of the way to Alex the technician. Alex expert knowledge and ability to explain the entire process and answer every question and more importantly his ability to support his comments with written data. His knowledge is only surpassed by his ability to install equipment in a timely manner. Truly Awesome and Professional Team!

I know enough about plumbing systems to know what questions to ask about some problems I was having. Two of the three issues I identified had to do with the 3” waste pipe under the house slab. I had already used an auger to clear a serious root intrusion and as my waste main is 60 years old, I was prepared for the worst. I would have given Midway the go-ahead for some seriously expensive work if their plumber told me it was necessary. The Midway plumber scoped the 3” main from the city connecting point to the house vent pipe and explained everything we were seeing in a way I could clearly understand. He checked the work I had already done, carefully talked me out of doing either expensive project I had enquired about, and gave me some tips for improving the remaining flushing problem that was being caused by the 1.28GPM toilet. The third project had to do with the incoming water supply. What I thought would improve the incoming water pressure and get a jump on a potential problem was diagnosed as a case of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it… and it ain’t broke.” I was wrong; he was right. He could have just done the work I requested and I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. Instead, he again clearly explained the issue and convinced me not to have the requested work done. Summary: The Midway plumber was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. I now understand how they maintain such a high customer review rating.

I paid so little because I was not going to pay the $3400.00 to power wash a single line in the house then asked cost to replace 20’ of 2” pvc under a house with lots of space and no digging just remove cast iron and replace with pvc. Somehow the price was the same. I will never call them again. This is something I could do in about 45 minutes easily.

Still leaks after you replaced cartridge which keeping the handlle in place was the only problem and two other fixes for over $800 supposedly fixed the problem. Still leaks and the serviceman says it's the water and we need all new facets. He quoted $1065 for each new facet that's $2130 plus who knows what else will be charged. I am not a wealthy oil baron, I had to work for fifty years to have what very little we have and can not just give it away. I find your charges exorbitant and will have to live with the leaky cartridge you installed. I don't even know if it was new. Likely the last time I will call Midway and even though the servicemen were pleasant, I would not be able recommend your company to others. Had to shut the water off while we visited our children over the Christmas holidays. Based on cost only one star.

I would get a second or 3rd opinion from another plumber or verify with a friend or contractor who knows something about plumbing. My sewage line wasn't draining properly so I got bid from them. They used a camera (sophisticated) to explore the sewage line, which was about 60 ft from the fence line/alley. Guy said that it was old clay pipe that needed to be replaced for $7000. And they would have to replace it all the way to the city main, which would make Abilene the only city that allows anyone to work on their city mains. So just to check on what the city had which I figured was upgraded to pvc (it was) I dug down to the sewer line at the edge of the property. So I started digging down to the sewer line a couple of other places just to verify what the plumber claimed. It ended up only being clay about 10 ft on my property from the city's line. So if the guy had been honest and not tried to grossly exaggerated or pad the estimate he would have said replace the 10 feet of clay because he couldn't have missed it with the camera that he ran from the trap next to my house down toward the fence line. This is probably a common way that unscrupulous plumbers line their pockets. It took a day to dig up that 10 ft of clay and replace w pvc. Cost $89 for supplies. What a profit margin. The sad thing or maybe part of the scam was the fish (Christian) symbol on his truck.

Quoted me $1100 to replace two hose bibs. No other pipe or anything just two hose bibs. On top of that I still had to pay an 89 dollar service fee when I turned them away. I was ok with paying it originally because I thought they would have a reasonable quote, and they said it could be applied towards the job completed. I now see they have to charge that due to how many people probably turn them down for being overpriced. Called another company came out the next day and was charged 250 to changed both hose bibs. I will never recommend midway to anyone. If I could rate less stars I would. Definitely price gouging at its finest. I’m sure I’ll get a response in relation to how much better quality their parts are or their level of professionalism is above the rest. Still wouldn’t explain how you could be $7-$800 above the rest of quotes I obtained. Their techs couldn’t even explain why it was so much. One looked like he was sorry the price was so high and the other just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders like I needed to deal with the price. Again the other company I went with was professional, quick with timing, and friendly. Steer clear unless you just have money to throw at problems that could be cheaper elsewhere.

I was more than pleased with Midway Plumbing's rapid response and quick, professional solution to my problem. My tenant phoned on Sunday night about water backing up in the commode and bathtub. He assured me that he was in no immediate need of relief so I waited till Monday morning to phone Midway. I live in Clyde and the rental is in Abilene. I informed Renee of the issue and she said she would dispatch someone right away. Christopher was waiting for me when I pulled into the driveway some 45 minutes later. He came in the house with me to examine the bathroom. After locating the relief outlet in the backyard, he determined he would need to access the drain from the vent on the roof. After writing up his plan of action and providing me an estimate of cost, he set to work. Within 30 minutes, he had fixed the problem, triple checked the drains in the bathroom, packed up and presented me the bill for a couple dollars BELOW the estimate. This is the 3rd time I have relied on Midway Plumbing to resolve an issue at my house. Due to their promptness and efficiency and professionalism, I will continue to use them and recommend them to any who may need plumbing services.

I don't normally write reviews, but we just received amazing service and I had to share. My house was built in 1979 and the plumbing is all under the concrete slab. My wife calls to let me know the kitchen sink is clogged. I called Midway and scheduled for a plumber to come out and unclog the sink. The young man arrives in a clean uniform and puts shoe covers on his feet ( my wife is now wanting the kids and I to wear)....We soon find out that the pipe used in 1979 is rotted and collapsed under the foundation. He shows us all of this while we watch a Camera under the house pushing through mud that used to be a pipe. I'm thinking they are going to have to bust up my whole house (that we just finished remodeling). Nope!...In two days...Yes you read it right...In two days these guys made a new pipe inside of the rotted pipe without busting up concrete. Truly amazing service! If you need a professional plumber that has space age technology and amazing service .....please call these guys. Customer for life!!!!

I had a pretty serious plumbing problem at my house. I wouldn't call it an emergency, but it wasn't something I could wait around to fix. I called Midway and they assured me that they'd be at my house that day. I call 4 hours later to ask if I was still on the schedule and I was told "Nope, looks like it's going to be tomorrow." Thanks for the heads up, Midway. They left me stuck not being able to use my toilets, which is really great when you have two little ones in the house who pee constantly. I understand that things get busy, but enough notice that would allow me to call around to other places would have been nice. Needless to say, I called someone else. I certainly won't be trusting Midway ever again. If they can't be trusted or bothered to give their customers a call to let them know that the schedule has changed, then I most definitely will not trust them to not rip me off.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Midway Plumbing! After the City of Clyde told me multiple times that my high water usage was “clearly a leak” and that I needed to call a plumber, I contacted Midway. They sent a technician out the very next day. The tech was extremely kind, polite, and thorough. He took the time to investigate everything and determined there was no leak at all. Even with the valve completely shut off, the meter was still reading about 1.5 gallons per minute. He went above and beyond by checking all faucets, toilets, and showers just to be sure. What really stood out was that he called the city back out and personally showed them what they had missed and couldn’t figure out themselves. Because of him, the real issue was finally identified. If you want an honest, knowledgeable company that truly advocates for their customers, I highly recommend Midway.

I called Midway Plumbing to install a new kitchen faucet because my old faucet was leaking. My house is six years old, so all hoses and pipes are in good condition. Upon arrival, the two young men assessed the situation, assured me that everything looked good and that they would only need to replace the faucet with the new one I had purchased. They gave me the price and asked me to sign so they could begin the work. They were charging me almost $700 to do a simple faucet installation. This is a job that would have taken approximately 15 minutes for an experienced plumber. Of course, I was not paying that ridiculous charge if I never have a new faucet!! I did, however, have to pay $89 for the 5 minutes the two young men were in my home. This is the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with a home service provider!! Do not get ripped off by this plumbing company!!!

First I have to say that I don't live in Abilene and I am a plumber in San Antonio but of course I do have family that lives there. I get a call from my uncle and I am trying to Sunday quarterback him trying to find a water leak because they had a high water bill. I started with the obvious items and the meter did not stop. I told my uncle Robert this is probably not good and we needed to get a company out there. So I called around and looked at all reviews. I stumbled upon this gem of a company- They were friendly on the phone(that's huge in my business) helpful getting a time frame down. They sent out a plumber and he found the leak within 20 mins. It was only a flapper that was leaking!!! My aunt and uncle were so thankful and I paid for the service over the phone with my credit card- Thanks Midway from one plumber to the next!

Tried to connect the water line to the new fridge on a nice sunny Sunday. Should take 10 min. right? That water tap had never been used and was leaking. Even though I turned off the water main it ended flooding the whole kitchen and half the living room. Called Roto-Rooter between soaking towels and emptying buckets. Marc came out promptly and this "easy" job took him a couple of hours because he has to go get parts, cut drywall, copper tubing, re-solder joints and cleanup. Yeah, connecting the water line only took him a minute. Marc was professional, courteous, and Roto-Rooter doesn't charge extra for weekends. It did cost a little more than expected but hey, there's inflation, and wait, the color of the fridge doesn't quite match the kitchen!

I had the pleasure of Gary McWhorter coming out to unstoppable a drain for me after I tried relentlessly and failed. He understands stopped it with ease, ran a camera down it to ensure it was good, and sold me some enzymes to help keep it from happening again which I had asked about. He didn't try to push them on me. He then looked at my main swore line and realized it needed to be rooted so he did that as well. I feel he went above and beyond what he needed to do there and I am thankful for that. He broke down exactly what it would cost before he did any work. My only complaint with the company is that they are more expensive than others in town. Although you get what you pay for and they also have the best warranty in town.
