Our verdict
Excellent workmanship and on-time arrivals, but high-pressure upselling of unnecessary repairs and inconsistent follow-up plague this contractor—avoid unless you can verify the specific technician.

Critical
“Mega Plumbing was recommended to us through Lowe's for the installation of our cooktop. Their Technician misread our panel and determined we needed an electrician to upgrade our circuit. Ultimately we hired an electrician and paid their service fee only to learn that mega plumbing misread the breakers and looked at our microwave circuit instead of the cooktop. When we contacted the company to express our …”
“OTR Microwave install- Went on Lowes website and ordered a Samsung Microwave and a week later 2 guys from MP showed up (of course they or Lowes had the wrong number and never called - no biggee). They were very quiet and seemed like in a rush. They removed the old and inserted the new one above the oven in about 20min of fuss and drilling. Said they were all done and i asked do i need to look into the cabinet? Is …”
“I purchased a dishwasher through Lowes in Midlothian Virginia. I Had to wait almost 2 weeks for Mega plumbing to get an appt for install . Appt was supposed to be today November 19, 2022 between 12 and 3 pm . I work night shift a little over an hour out of town at the moment . After working all night I drove home early this morning in preparation to have the long awaited dishwasher installation. The service …”
Positive
“We had a very old cooktop with irregular sizes...so replacing it would be a chore. The young man who came, was meticulous. He measured, marked, made sure it would not hurt the existing drawers, made perfect cuts, installed the cooktop and cleaned up. We could not have asked for anything more. He was professional, but took the time to explain how it would all work. Highly Recommend!”
“Oscar and his assistant were very cordial and acted in a very professional manner. They made sure that the stove and the floor in from to the stove was covered. It did not take them long to install the microwave and they showed me how to operate it. His helper had a small vacuum and wiped off the stove and counter and vacuumed the floor. It was a very professional experience and I would recommend them to others.”

The rating picture
Our sample skews heavily toward critical reviews — it disagrees with the Google average shown above.
Newest review in our sample: Mar 2026.
Across platforms
Extreme rating split: Google 4.9/5 (8,785 reviews, heavily Lowe's installation-focused) vs. Yelp 2.8/5 (100 reviews, many reporting billing fraud, no-shows, and damage). BBB C-rating with zero complaints (past 3yr) suggests either recent pattern change, review migration to Yelp, or limited BBB complaint submissions. Google reviews skew positive and detail-light; Yelp reviews contain detailed allegations of coercive upselling and property damage that are absent from Google sample.
