The plumber that was sent was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem. We used Liberty on two different occasions, and both services were very reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again, and I would also recommend them.
Very professional and great customer service. The technician Todd was very knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciate his honesty on the situation. I will definitely be calling Liberty back upon any other issues.
I had something backing up my lateral sewer line between my house to the street, causing a sewer clog backing up to my house. I called Liberty on a Friday evening and they mobilized that evening to attempt to clear my sewer (thank you!). Unfortunately it wasn’t that simple but Liberty and their professional techs identified the location of the clog (a piece of PVC) and came up with a plan to remove and replace it. They were transparent, competent, and timely, and they fixed my sewer. This was a month ago and everything is running smoothly. I highly recommend this company. Their staff who worked at my house were top notch!
People who worked at my house did not wear masks NOR did they notify me that they were coming in. Could not speak to me face to face and their colognes were incredibly overpowering. Even after making a complaint to management to wear a mask they did not comply. No professionalism here at all. 0/10
They have been paid to do a simple bathroom plumbing job, the tub doesn't drain, the toilet won't flush, the cold water line doesn't run. Aren't these the jobs plumber's are supposed to do? I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I tell everyone that I can to avoid.
First off I will say Leroy was great. Very personable and was quick. Had Liberty come out to replace a sump pump, because at the time I knew nothing about them. Unfortunately this was on a Sunday so the cost for labor was time and a half. Price was $696 for emergency visit and flat rate pump replace ($104 of that being emergency visit). When pump was plugged it was extremely loud. Leroy agreed to retrieve a new quieter pump and charge only the difference in the price of the pump. A few days later this event did occur and the pump was replaced. When it came time for billing the price was now $836. I looked up the two models of pumps online and at one retailer sump pumps direct the new 1/3 hp Zoeller pump was only $50 more than the 1/3 hp Proflo pump they originally installed. On Amazon the Zoeller pump was actually $50 cheaper than the Proflo. I understand markups for businesses to make money, but charging me an extra $142 and claiming that is just the price difference in the pump is a ridiculous rip off. Now that I know how simple a sump pump is, even the $696 is a rip off. That was no ones fault but my own in not realizing how simple a sump pump is. Called the shop and explained my issue and they basically just chuckled and explained handling fees, pump pick up fees, etc. Nothing they could do to help me with their ridiculous pricing, so I'm stuck getting ripped off. Leroy was great. Liberty is not. Stay away. Update. John lies. I spoke with a woman. Never spoke with him. I never complained about paying weekend price, I knew I would pay higher on weekend for emergency visit. My complaint was price gauging on the replacement of the loud pump they installed where they stated they would replace the pump at only the cost of the quiet pump. Even John clearly states below that in his response, but then explains that he has to pay his plumber. So basically I am not paying for just the price of the pump, I'm paying for 2.5 hrs of plumber time and price of the pump. I can also tell you it did not take 2.5hrs for them to replace the pump with the quieter pump. It took less than 30 min, and Leroy lived less than 30min from my house. Don't believe their lies. He is correct. After they laughed at me, I did tell them I would leave a bad review and they said ok then I hung up. I did not threaten them with a bad review, if I didn't get my way. So don't get it confused.
When we came home to a gas odor, we immediately called Washington Gas, who made us aware that there was a gas leak in the basement. So to play it safe, the utility company opted to shut off the gas to our home, meaning we would have no hot water or heat during the coldest night of the year. I pulled over and scrambled to get a plumber to our house ASAP. Out of the 6 plumbing companies I contacted, 2 offered to have a plumber drop by yesterday evening. One was charging $175 inspection + $250 minimum repair expense for a $425 total expense. This was after being put on hold for 10 min after a dispatch took my call just to tell me that wa plumber MAY make it after a couple of hours. On top of that, they hung up on me after asking for additional info and didn't even bother to call me back. The second plumbing company responded immediately and stated that their plumber will be there in an hour for $105. Their plumber, Franklin, was actually there in a little over 45 min, well within the deadline given to us by the dispatcher, late on a Friday evening in the middle of the coldest night of the year. Within 12 hours of my initial call to Liberty Plumbing, Washington Gas inspected Franklin's work scrutinizing every little detail. The inspector approved of Franklin's work, who by the way got it fixed for a fraction of the cost. So to recap, Franklin arrived early on multiple occasions, provided a solution that was well within budget and delivered at a fraction of the cost, and was patient enough to answer all of our plumbing questions both related and unrelated to the issue at hand while delivering work that was approved by Washington Gas. I don't know much about Liberty Plumbing but if the rest of their staff is like Franklin, I will be recommending them to all of my clients (I'm a real estate agent by profession), family, and friends for many years to come.
I thought Liberty Plumbing was going to be a good option for fixing my slow drain but I was so wrong. I told them I had a slow drain and they told me it needed to be snaked for $250. I thought that was a very reasonable price compared to other plumbers in the area. So I had the guy come and "snake" it. He hit the blockage and could not get through it, so he said it was bigger issue. He said he would need to cut open my walls to try to find the issue. I asked if he could use a drain camera instead of cutting my walls, which I would expect a drain camera to be a standard piece of equipment all plumbers have this day in age, but he didn't have one. He said only two other plumbers on the team have them. I knew drain cameras existed by doing a simple Google search on common plumbing fixes and looking at Roto Rooter's website before-hand. Long story short, since he did not have the right equipment to even give me quote for the proper repair they wanted my $250 for snaking the drain, $400+ to have someone else look at it with a drain camera, plus the cost of the actual repair... which we never even got to... and I am sure it would be substantial. My advice is to find a different plumber that will guarantee to come up with a solution to fix the problem on the first visit or without charging you for each visit. The cost adds up fast when a plumber wants to make multiple visits and charge you for each one and does not make this clear up front.

Outstanding Company and people! I've used them twice, my parents have used them once. I used them to install the all plumbing and tub for a full basement bathroom and a few other re-routing of pipes in the basement. I was doing the basement myself and contracting out the hard/big jobs. Flawless work, on time, reasonable prices, outstanding people on the phone and the guy that did the work (a retired Marine), was a pleasure to have in my home, he did the work, was respectful of my family and my time, cleaned up and even gave me a bunch of tips to help me finish off my basement. Second time, I called about frozen pipes to a bathroom for a rental property I have. I talked through the issue and told them what I was doing, they gave me some good advice and actually told me to try a few things before having them out. They fixed my problem on the phone! They probably saved me roughly $1000. My parents had them out to fix a few hose bibs and a few minor bathroom and kitchen plumbing issues. The reasonable quote was provided, the work was completed ahead of schedule and they had the same experience with the people. I usually don't write reviews, but I had to for this company. There are a lot of plumbers out there, this company seems to do it all, quality work, good people, reasonable prices, they just get it.
I highly recommend Liberty to anyone with plumbing needs. A few days ago I got a quote from another company that far exceeded what I expected. All i needed was to fix a leaky faucet. And the tech that came out to my home from this other company, immediately said I needed a complete overhaul of my faucet system. Didn't even bother to turn off the water and investigate the issue. He just took one glance at the leaky faucet and that was it. He quoted me for almost $1,100 just for a leaky faucet! No thank you. I then called Liberty and spoke with one of the owners named Eric. He was very honest and upfront with me. He understood my situation and promised me that they do nothing but honest work. And that is exactly what I received. The technician that came out to my home, Mike A., thoroughly assessed the issue and said that an overhaul of my faucet system was not warranted at all. All it needed was an internal piece to be replaced. And yes, i was quoted far less than the other company. Mike A. did a very quick, clean, and overall excellent job taking care of the issue. From beginning to end this company has been a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about them. Great service from top to bottom!
I noticed a water running sound that was especially loud in the basement. Eric came out and diagnosed a water leak. He recommended bringing in a company that uses sound equipment to locate the leak so as not to dig up the entire lawn. Turned out the leak was under the foundation in the finished portion of our basement. Eric recommended a carpet company to come out and get the wall to wall carpet and padding out of the way. He called and discussed it with the carpet company (a local company that was easy to work with and very responsive). Liberty coordinated to be here shortly after the carpet guys left and in about 6 hours they jack-hammered through the concrete - found 3 pinhole leaks - replaced the pipes - and replaced the concrete. They did a great job of sealing off the rest of the basement so it did not get covered with the fine concrete dust from the jack-hammering. They cleaned up the area and left everything looking great. Eric and his employees were as professional as can be, courteous and most important - did a superior job at a very fair price. We have used Liberty Plumbing for all our plumbing needs for many years now and I cannot recommend them more highly!
Liberty is a company I've used several times now to replace old cast iron pipes under the foundation of my house so the water from the house would not go into the sump pump. The problems with the pipes have resulted in a pest control problem, which has been very distressing. Liberty has consistently been reliable and fair in its pricing. Eric, a part owner of the company, has been out to my several times to scope the pipes using video equipment, which not all plumbers have, and to use different colored dyes to determine the source of the problem underground. I've found him and his crew to be reliable, fair, clear in answering my questions, professional and courteous. I've grateful to have found them, since not all companies have video equipment. Eric of Liberty even talked to my homeowners' insurance rep to explain the problem and took pictures to send to her. It is great to have someone I feel is on my side in dealing with this distressing drain pipe and pest problem. I will d definitely use Liberty for even smaller job and for this large job and complicated job, they were terrific.
In September we called Liberty as our walk in Jucuzzi tub faucet was leaking. Leroy came out, it was a part that needed ordering. Should be back in three days. Two weeks, no call. Then we were told it was a $500 part. Told them to order it. 7 weeks later, I called. They came out, with wrong parts. Weeks and weeks later, I called, they said they had new parts and could come out in two weeks. Leroy returned, said it was same parts, but they thought original guy didn't know how to install. Surprise, parts didn't work. Now they removed both faucets and parts and took them offsite to order correct parts. Received a call that parts should be in the week before Christmas. Told them to call me when they came in. It is now January 15th and they have our faucets, peripheral parts and have not called in another month. At this point, we just want our faucets put back in place and leave the water off. Over three months, and we are tired of waiting and so done. Never ever....
I have used Liberty several times in the last few years and we were so pleased with their friendly trustworthy and timely response to our plumbing problems, I cannot understand what transformed them. We need a leak repaired and set up an appointment. The day came for the appointment and no one showed. Call the office and Melissa said she would find out what went wrong. My wife got a call at home from one of the owners Eric and he was told her there was no record of an appointment. Think about this...why would anyone make up an appointment, stay home all morning, just so they could call and complain especially when you need a repair? Instead of appreciating our return business, Eric told us he was "hoping we would go somewhere else" and hung up the phone on my wife. Like I said, what happened to transform them we will never know but we will never use them again and hope you don't either.
