RED FLAGS

1 concern

Scheduling reliability deterioration: Two Yelp reviews from 2015 and 2018 describe repeated no shows and failure to honor five hour appointment windows; company allegedly fabricated excuses to insurance company. Combined with current Yelp rating of 3.1 vs. Google's 4.7, suggests potential systemic scheduling or insurance claim handling issues, though recent Google reviews show improvement.

We had the best experience with Jesus! He came to do a shower repair after another plumber (from another company) ghosted us and didn’t complete the job. Jesus figured out the solution within a few minutes and did the complete repair within a few hours. We also asked for his expertise on a few other issues that we were concerned about and he solved them all. We have peace of mind knowing that Jesus had the issues covered. To top it all off, we received a call from the Lewis Plumbing office staff the next day to confirm that everything was working properly. We now have our permanent plumbing service for our home. No one else compares!

We had the best experience with Jesus! He was the ultimate professional. He came to do one job that another plumber (from another company) started but failed to complete. Jesus worked his magic and had a solution completed within a few hours. He also solved 3 other issues that we were experiencing without hesitation. Jesus figured out the root of the plumbing problems. It was so worth the money to have peace of mind knowing that Jesus had it all covered. To top off this “best in class” service, the office staff at Lewis Plumbing called us the next day to make sure everything was working properly. We now have our permanent plumbing company for our home. No others can compare!

The only reason I'm yelping is because after I talked to my insurance company I found out the office fabricated some B.S. About the first "schedualed" appointment. After a five hour window my wife called THEM to find out why we hadn't heard from them. She was told they were going to be about a half hour late (outside a FIVE hour window).....so she rescheduled. Then they call toward the end of the next five hour window (at least they called this time) but I told him not to bother since it was now so late (the work was not an emergency and I didn't want it going into the night). I call my insurance to get someone else (who can read a clock and budget time) and they call woolly who lies and says that on the first appointment they were turned away (after THEY called) because it would be an "inconvenience ". This company is not reliable and now I think DISSREPUTABLE. They obviously care little about customer service and more about how many customers they can cram into a five hour time frame, in an effort to steer as many insurance claims their way as possible. Go with someone with integrity.

Don't use this company!!!! Our experience is very similar to many others posted. They were sent by our home warranty. These fools are the most unreliable, terribly rude and unhelpful company we've ever dealt with! One problem after another. The guy came multiple times to fix our hot water heater and never did a thing but complain and waste our time. Left our family of 5 without hot water for 2 weeks, stringing us along due to their poor scheduling and lack of communication. Another company was finally called today. The technician was at our house in 2 hours. He assessed the situation, promptly gave report to the home warranty and is returning tomorrow to install a new device. Learn from our mistake. Dump Wooley Plumbing immediately.

Had a similar experience to several of the other posters. Home warranty sent them to us for a leak at one of our rentals. They didn't respond to the inquiry for a few of days (you are supposed to get a call within 48 hours) so I gave them a call. They told me it would take them a week to get out because they were busy and had a truck break down. When they finally arrived, they identified that the leak was in our irrigation, which is not covered by home warranty. Stupidly, I asked them if I could pay them to fix it outside the home warranty coverage since they were already there. They told me yes, so I paid them and left. Our tenant told us the next day that it was still leaking. Despite leaving several messages, sending an email and filling out a form on their website, it took them another week to call me back. They said they were sure their work was good but they would come back out anyways... but could not make it out for two more weeks because they were busy and a truck was broken down. Sound familiar? That was exactly what they said almost three weeks earlier when I placed the original inquiry... They came out, said the ground was saturated and that there was nothing they could do at the moment. Due to the continued leaking, we had turned off the valve to the irrigation and were only turning it on as necessary to water the lawn and plants. Our tenant told us that morning that he had the valve shut off. When our tennant arrived home, the backyard was flooded and the valve was open. Sick of dealing with this company, I called a landscaper and they fixed the problem in about an hour for 25% of what Wooley charged me. They also told me that the plumbers had made a mistake in their repair and that the work was poor. I left a message to tell the owner that I was frustrated. I was on the other line when they called back but they left me one of the rudest messages I have ever received from a company I have paid to work on one of our houses. I wish there was a way to upload it to Yelp. They claimed that they fixed the leak, that there was another leak that was causing the flooding, that they did not turn on the valve, that the flooding was not their fault, that they are not "irrigation men" and that this is not something they normally do and that they did what we paid them to do... ending the call with "PERIOD" and an abrupt hangup. Zero accountability... nothing is ever their fault... If this was out of their realm, fair enough, but you tell someone that before they pay you and you agree to do the work. Also, I heard from a friend that they had a similarly terrible experience with Wooley Plumbing.

I've had Wooley Plumbing out a few times (each time a different issue) since buying a home in Lompoc in 2012. I was initially put on to them by my home warranty company and have continued to rely on their outstanding service since discontinuing my home warranty plan. Initially, the home warranty company put me in contact with 3 different local plumbing companies regarding a leaky pipe in my master bath: The first company was unwilling to help me in a timely manner because I was "not replacing the water heater." They told me that they prioritize water heaters and would get to "as soon as they could." After over a week and 2 cancelled appointments, I called my home warranty company and requested a different plumber. The second company did not even respond to my calls at all. The third company, Wooley Plumbing, was prompt, scheduled an appointment for the following day, and fixed the problem very quickly. That has been my experience with Wooley Pumbing each and every time I've had them out. Can't recommend them enough!

Never use this plumber, my insurance sent them out to do a job. I asked about some work I was looking to hire someone for. After I explained to them not to touch a value because last year it cost me $500 to have someone come out and fix it I messed it up. It's like a secondary shutoff they decided to turn it anyway. Later that night I noticed the same result. I called left a message and got a call back in the morning, I asked that someone come out and fix the problem but I guess it was about the money. No one could give me an estimate on time because he had other jobs to do. Wow, sir thanks for not coming out I feel that you have no integrity. If someone tells you don't touch something DO NOT touch it. Now I have to pay out of pocket to have another plumber come out and fix the problem. We are RETIRED soldiers how dare you as an AMERICAN cheat anyone. Especially someone willing to hire you because an insurance company recommended you. May GOD bless you.

We moved into our house several months ago and the house was just at that age where somethings were starting to go. We had a hot water heater that the pilot light kept going out on, we had a leaking garbage disposal and the water pressure in the house wasn't that great. Thank goodnessand Wally's plumbing contracted with our home warranty. Walter came out with two other gentle men all very polite very businesslike kept us informed and fixed all three of our problems. They informed us that we did not need a blanket around that hot water heater it was smothering the light, we did need a new water pressure regulator and a new garbage disposal. We live in Paso Robles and that is the furthest north they go and we are so thankful that they do we will give them all our plumbing business. We highly recommend woollies plumbing!

I had a wonderful experience with Dino and Wooley Plumbing, both of whom took care of me despite a very bad home owner's insurance policy. Basically the policy covered little more than the water heater and a very basic fee for the work. Dino went out of his way to figure out the best way to get me the new water heater and the other parts needed, including a pan, hose and fixtures which the home warranty didn't cover at the cheapest price so I wouldn't have a huge out of pocket bill. He spent hours on the phone with the home warranty people trying to figure out the best way to get coverage and fixed my water heater extremely fast. I can't say enough nice things about Dino and Wooley's plumbing. They more than made up for the awful home owner's insurance policy people I had to deal with.

Wooley plumbing was sent to us through our home warranty insurance. We have had this warranty for about 12 years and have always been satisfied with the service men sent. Until Wooley Plumbing. They installed a new hot water heater with 23 welds. Each piece welded was about 4" long, rather than a 9 or 12" piece of pipe. Then we were charged extra for all the work. However, Mr Wooley had no authority to charge extra, as all was to be paid through our warranty. When we reported this botched job to the insurance company, they are refunding our extra charge and sending out another plumbing service to evaluate this job and repair it. I advise staying away from Wooley Plumbing. It is my personal opinion that they are both incompetent and thieves.

Lewis Plumbing came out to replace a pressure valve on our water main. Our pressure tank was functional before their visit. After their repair, the tank stopped working entirely. I have called their office five times over the past week. Each time I was told "the estimator will get back to you." No one has called. No one has come out. No one has taken responsibility. I explained the situation was urgent — we have trees on the property that need water. I was told someone would follow up. Nothing. I am now dealing with a broken tank they caused, dead trees if this continues, and a company that won't return calls or stand behind their work. Do NOT use Lewis Plumbing. They will take your money, break your equipment, and disappear.

We called first American out home warranty company. You really don't get a choice in who they give your service ticket. In this case it worked out perfectly. The Wooley team showed up in time and were very knowledgeable. They fixed the first issue which was a challenge in itself. Then they went to fix the leaky faucet in the shower. The shower was always hard to turn and we thought it was just that type of faucet! Come to find out it was completely broken. They were able to fix it and now we have no problem turning in out faucet. Ken and Walter to the rescue! Thank you for you knowledgeable service. Excellent service team!

Wooley plumbing is a fabulous company to work with! I got referred to them by my home warranty company. They are the easiest company to deal with that I've ever been referred to by that company! They came out to my house very quickly and reported back to the warranty company almost immediately which I have found is very unusual when dealing with a warranty company repair. Wooley Plumbing was extremely courteous, efficient, and had my repairs completely done within a matter of a couple days which was incredible! I would very highly recommend them and will definitely use them for any future plumbing issues!

This company sent two plumbers out to put in a kitchen faucet, air gap, and dishwasher and charged me nearly $1000 for parts and labor. The faucet was put in sideways, I had to point it out and have it adjusted, and the dishwasher was installed two inches forward from the cabinetry, which looks horrendous. I will never use this company again and don’t recommend them. I really should have used the hardware store’s installation service, which would have been $150 plus parts. I thought hiring a plumber would mean it would all be done properly with no guesswork. I was wrong.
