Al and his team did a great job and thoroughly explained what they were doing. He alerted us to potential issues and was clear in the estimates. We will be working with them again.

We had been dealing with an ongoing problem with the sewer line at our church for more than a year, and we were struggling with the cost of excavation and replacement. King Rooter provided a solution, sleeving the line, at a fraction of the cost. Not only that, but Mario, Kevin, and Robert gained my confidence right away with their knowledge and professionalism. I was nervous about the tight window we were able to give them with the building shut down, but they absolutely got it done when they said they would. Highly recommend.

This company is the real deal. They are organized, easy to schedule with, always responsive via phone. I had to cancel and reschedule due to the birth of my daughter and everyone I spoke to was so helpful. Colette is amazing over the phone. Dan is skilled at diagnostic work and repair - he found an issue another plumber missed and had it repaired the same day. Can’t forget Robert helping in the office. He’s a funny, easy going guy that gets the job done! Also love the technology they’ve employed to allow technician tracking. I knew exactly when Dan would arrive at my home! Call them over any other plumber! They also have the ability to do smoke tests which was difficult to find with many other local plumbing companies.

As many others leaving feedback for Mr Rooter have previously commented, I would give a 0 star rating if possible. We recently bought a new home and after moving in we found ourselves with a clogged basement drain (sink + toilet + shower) where it merges with the main sewer line. We called and set up a same day $95 clean-out knowing the exact issue, and expecting a quick resolution. The tech arrived and was working through the cleanouts outside and came back inside and said that he was running into an unpenetrable clog running out to the sewer, and that he was recommending his supervisor come out to complete a $300 sewer scope to identify the problem. I let him know that we recently had the main sewer line cleaned out, and it was highly unlikely that it was clogged. He agreed to go back out and take another shot - but came back in saying the main line was completely clogged and even showed me some roots and plastic that he had pulled out of the sewer. What this tech did not realize was that as part of the home-buying process from 3 weeks earlier, the previous owners had actually completely replaced the main sewer line! There was no way this line was clogged with roots and plastic! We declined the scope (which was then offered at half-price for $150), and called another plumber. When that plumber arrived, he had a camera with him and scoped the completely clogged line (according to Mr. Rooter) - and to no one's surprise, it was as a clean as a whistle. The horrific thing about this scam is that the tech *brought the roots and plastic with him* - and pretended to pull it out of our sewer. I can't think of any more clear and obvious fraud they could have committed in this instance.. Thankfully we were only out $95 for this experience, but don't let our mistake become your mistake: avoid Mr Rooter at all costs!

If i could i would leave a 0 star review because they have done literally 0 work for me. I had a pipe freeze and break at 2 am so I called for an emergency fix. After calling I was told I had an appointment scheduled and that dispatch would call me "very shortly" once a technician was on the way. Because of this I opted to just stay awake/ doze off on the couch and wait for someone to show up "shortly". After falling asleep on the couch, I woke up at around 7 am then decided just to head to Home Depot and get the supplies and teach myself how to fix the problem. This forced me to go without water all Christmas Eve but I suppose I was forced to learn a new skill in return so silver lining. Thankfully I am capable of doing the work myself but cant help but think of if they are treating the elderly or disabled like this, forcing them to live without water. It has now been 48 hours since calling for an emergency fix and being told a technician would be sent out shortly and I haven't even been contacted by dispatch yet. I get that it is Christmas and most people aren't working but just tell me you don't have anyone available to come out so that I'm not waiting for you then forced to go with around 3 hours of sleep for the holiday while I wait for you to never come. Ultimately I'm thankful for such a poor representation of your company since I most likely saved hundreds of dollars by not giving it to such a poorly managed company. I will not be calling Mr Rooter for any future issues I may have and will be advising other to do so as well.

Beware of Mr. Rooter: Dishonest Practices, Shoddy Work, and High-Pressure Tactics I am extremely disappointed and feel completely taken advantage of by Mr. Rooter. We called them to address a backup issue in our upstairs bathroom, and what followed was a frustrating and expensive ordeal. Their team tried to clear the line with a snake but failed. They used a camera and told us there was a broken pipe under the garage. Based on their recommendation, we paid $6,000 to break open our garage floor and replace part of the pipe. After this, they claimed to have found additional damage leading into the house under the basement, quoting another $11,000 for further repairs. At this point, we requested the camera footage and sought a second opinion from another company. The second company informed us that the pipe was dirty with sediment and scale but showed no visible cracks or damage. They proceeded to clean the pipe, re-examine it with a camera, and confirmed that there was no damage warranting replacement. When I called Mr. Rooter to address this, the supervisor, Karl, defensively insisted the damage was real and even accused the second company of trying to scam me--how ridiculous! The second company had no reason to lie, as they provided clear evidence that the pipe was clean and intact. To make matters worse, when we asked Mr. Rooter for evidence that the initial repair was justified, they sent us a blurry video where nothing could be seen. They also admitted they couldn't provide photos of the pipe they removed or the removed pipe itself. How are customers supposed to trust their diagnosis when they provide no solid proof? Adding insult to injury, Mr. Rooter charged us $90 to remove a toilet but didn't even reinstall it properly. We had to hire another plumber to fix their work and properly caulk the toilet to the floor. This entire ordeal feels like a high-pressure scheme to coerce customers into unnecessary and costly repairs. Karl and his team pushed hard for quick decisions, repeatedly emphasizing that the crew was "just around the corner" to start repairs. This urgency felt manipulative and designed to pressure us into signing agreements without time to seek a second opinion. At the very least, a reputable company should provide clear, documented evidence before demanding thousands of dollars. Mr. Rooter failed to do this, as they cannot provide credible evidence for their original diagnosis. The lack of transparency, false loan claims, and their shoddy work are unacceptable. Stay far away from this company. They either lack competence, operate unethically, or both. I regret trusting them, and I hope this review helps others avoid falling into the same trap.

If only I could give 0 stars. For starters we looked at google reviews and they were positive, should have looked at yelp. We needed a section of the sewer replaced in the front yard and contracted with them to the job. We were told the initial payment for trying to clear the line and the camera inspection would be applied to our bill. We financed the rest and we thought all was good. It was not. Because they couldn't even spell my name right, they never applied our diagnosing to the repair. Instead of sending a statement or making some sort of attempt to rectify the outstanding situation, they proceeded to file a mechanics lien for $500 on a $10,500 job. However, after investigating when I got the upsetting certified mail with a mechanics lien, I realized that we technically really did owe them $110. However, when I called after getting the mechanics lien to try and straighten it out, I've been ghosted and I even tried calling the corporate office for Neighborly and Mr Rooter and got a run around, eventually got a voice mail, but nobody has bothered to return my call. Now I'm left having to fight an invalid mechanics lien against my property and the headache and hassle and most likely legal fees as we'll need to go to court to have a judge invalidate their lien. In addition to exaggerating the amount of the lien, they also filed the lien to late. Even if the amount stated on the lien was accurate (which it's not) it's still an invalid lien because it was filed to late after completing the job. Now here's the biggest kicker, Mr Rooter doesn't have an active Master Plumbers license in the state of Colorado. Clearing a drain doesn't require a Master Plumbers license, but digging up the front yard and cutting into and replacing a section of the sewer does require a Master Plumbers license. I'm incredibly disappointed in Neighborly and Mr. Rooter, their website falsely claims licensure and the aftermath has been an absolute headache and I'm afraid it's only getting started. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. If you have used them for repairs that involved cutting into existing sections of sewer pipe, that requires Masters Plumbers license and they don't have one. I would suggest filing a complaint with the State of Colorado, maybe if enough people file complaints against them taking on repairs they're not licensed to perform, maybe the rest of the public will get lucky and the state will shut these clowns down. Avoid this company at all costs!

I was selling my home and one of the things the new buyers wanted was the sewer line cleaned out. I called and they said it would be $95. I said to the gal on the phone that another company had quoted me over $700 so are we sure we're talking about the same thing and she said yes it'll only be $95 so I scheduled it. They get there and of course it's not going to be $95 (shocker, I know) but it would be $445. I show the guy the video from the inspection report and the inspection report itself. He says he is taking care of it. Fine. It takes him a couple hours longer than he said, he is obviously struggling with something and he says he can't figure out where my sewer line goes.... I'm thinking - don't you have a camera? But okay, whatever as long as he gets the job done. He "cleans" everything up and says it's done. After calling the company multiple times to get the video sent to me, I finally get the video and send it to the new buyers. They immediately reply and say the inspection wanted him to go 150 feet, he only went 100 feet. Now I'm up against a serious deadline for closing, I call them back and ask and the manager says I'm their top priority blah blah blah because it wasn't done the first time (even tho I showed the guy the inspection report) so he's going to discount me for coming back out. Why am I paying anything for you to come back out is what I want to know but I need to get this done so at this point I have to pay whatever he says or I'm not selling my house. He says $195 and that they'll be there on Tuesday 12:00-2:00. Well 2:00 on Tuesday comes and I call the company because I still hadn't heard anything. The gal says "you're next on our list, we're just running behind"... okay. 10 minutes later I get a call from said manager again and he says they have to reschedule me because of issues. I close on Thursday. He says they will be there first thing on Wednesday morning. The new guy gets there on Wednesday morning (he was great and knowledgeable and I wish I dealt with him from the very beginning). He says the manager quoted me wrong because he assumed the toilet was already pulled. WHAT?! So long story short... the city line starts at 108 feet... why could no one tell me that? Why did I pay anything again? Why did the manager mis quote me? The second round cost me $250 when it should have been zero. All in all, don't try and save money by going with these guys. Just pay the other company... less headaches, less money and less non sense. Never again.

I am absolutely disgusted with this company. My dad passed in 2018 and I had to move into their home to take care of my mom with Alzheimer's. I quickly realized my downstairs shower would back up and overflow with black waste. I called mr. rooter and they told me I needed to replace my inside main line and all toilets as well as my hot water heater. It was thanksgiving, I was very overwhelmed with everything, and couldn't live without water or toilets so I approved the work and gave them ALL of my inheritance from my fathers passing. As soon as they left, I excitedly went to use my downstairs shower and guess what? The water wouldn't drain! I called them back in tears saying after all that it's still not fixed and they came back right away and said they forgot to clear that drain at the end of the job. Fast forward to about a month ago (end of 2021) and my downstairs shower is still backing up with black waste and is unusable. They came back, explaining that my outside lines need replaced and that there are roots growing through them but as long as I get the roots blasted every couple years it should be okay. They did it that day, as a courtesy and said I should be good until the roots grow back in a couple years and that service is normally $900. Today, that same downstairs shower is doing the same thing, the toilet won't work, and I just got off the phone with them and they actually denied that I paid over $20,000 for the initial repair saying "You didn't pay US the full 20 grand" and denied saying I would be okay for a couple years the last time they were here. They said, "we can't just keep coming back to deal with this for free". If they won't even stand by their actual invoice that I paid in full, what else would they deny or lie to me about? I feel completely swindled, powerless and grossly taken advantage of. They knew my situation and that I just inherited money from my dads death, knew I was desperate for help, and completely screwed me. I understand I should have gotten multiple quotes but I'm still so very upset with the entire situation and for what I paid I should, at the very least, have a working shower. If they had told me initially, "look, we see why you called us and we're going to charge $20,000 to do some work but it's not going to ultimately fix the issue you brought us here for", do you think I would have said yes? I have told everyone I know about this nightmare of an experience with this shameful company.

Oh man, had a pretty negative experience with this company. We had a clog in our mainline which was probably related to a kid visitor to our house who flushed half a roll of toilet paper (not exaggerating). We called Mr. Rooter to unclog things because it was a Sunday. They came out Sunday night around 7:30 (for a 2-4 scheduled window), but okay I get it, sometimes the job before takes longer than you think it will and it makes you late. The guy who comes out tells us he can't get the cap off the clean out, and they'll have to come back in the morning. Not great but okay. They come out the next day and clear the clog (breaking off the top section of our outdoor cleanout pipe in the process). Everything's draining fine now but, they say, they felt something strange. They better call their supervisor and have him do a scope, but they'll apply the cost of clearing the clog towards the scope (spoiler, they did not). The "supervisor" guy comes out and does the scope. He says we've got a big problem, we've got to replace a large section of the mainline immediately. He's pushing us hard to agree right away to nearly $7k in repairs. When we didn't just go with it, he started negotiating down the price. But the vibes were bad and I got the sense he didn't want anyone else seeing the scope video, or for us to get a second opinion. After he left, I sent the scope video (which we insisted he send to us) to two other, unrelated sewer line inspection companies. Both got back to us with the same feedback. The scope video itself was not very good, and they didn't seeing anything in it that would warrant emergency repairs. We then called a totally different sewer inspection company that specializes in inspection and doesn't do repairs (so they don't have financial incentive to "find" expensive damage), to do a totally new and more thorough scope. We sat with the guy while he went inch by inch down our sewer line, and his conclusion was the same. Our sewer line is not in need of emergency repairs, and he suspected someone at Mr. Rooter might be working on commission. FYI, when we called around to other sewer companies, many of them told us that this was an increasingly common scam. Mr. Rooter managed to scam us for an extra $300 but at least they didn't get the thousands they were after. Be careful out there folks.

Zero stars... this company just puts out a call to plumbers to see if someone can come, you could call around yourself and you'd likely be better off in a plumbing emergency. We called the 877-434-8447 phone number and someone said a tech would call us to schedule, that they "could get us in for an emergency service today". I got a text message from: 855-211-3662 that said: Your appt with Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a neighborly co is scheduled for today, to change, call: 720-642-7800, so I called to confirm the time and was told we are in fact confirmed, but no time yet. We had a burst pipe and waited all day on these folks, I called back and confirmed every two hours that we were in fact "confirmed" and advised how the water is off to the house and it's going to be freezing tonight and we're unable to turn the water on due to the flooding that occurs and was told again and again that "someone is on the way", "you are confirmed", one lady even told us, "your appt window is now, he should be arriving at any minute"...we sat anxiously watching out the window, waited for a call, ... nothing. I called another 2 hours after that and was told not to worry, you're still on the schedule for this afternoon, I called again 2 hours after that, now it is after 6pm and was told that no one was coming today, it would be tomorrow. She went on to say that they just request out to see if anyone can reply and that no one there should have told me anything was confirmed, that they just try to get someone out. By now it was too late to get anyone else for same day appt. I get it, it's short notice and everyone is busy right now but when there's an emergency, don't tell someone that they are confirmed when you are going to see IF a pro can respond...and especially don't continue lying to them advising someone's coming, especially in an emergency situation the day before a holiday. We certainly had another option to have someone else out who truly could make it same day but I regretfully put my faith in this company and their employees answering their phones, who continued to tell me that we were in fact: confirmed. Skip this one.

It was a nightmare. Should be a 0.....First tech came out to run a snake down the clogged toilet...$95.....He ran it down and no luck. Still clogged.... He didn't have the right snake to run down the Master bedroom cleanout.. NOR... the right snake to run down the shower drain....which was backing up. WTH???How can this tech be in the business 5 years, as he said he was, and NOT have the right tools? As usual, I have to do his job for him. So his boss comes out...." OH, see the sewer line with my new high tech camera.....we need to tear up your front lawn, break your sprinkler system, and charge you $5100.00."........ If I was smart I would have made him run the snakes through the Master bedroom cleanout and the shower drain before we did anything else. But somehow I trusted him...I was an idiot. $5100 later it still backed up in the shower!!!.....so they sent a guy out...the only one who knew what he was doing...and he ran the snake down the shower drain. Bingo!! problem solved. If this was done in the first place there would be no need to tear up my front lawn. Don't use them. If you want add'l info feel free to call and I'm happy to provide add'l details.... Matt 602-690-6340...And I see the manager replied ...and said the " problem could not be resolved with a simple cable" ???? how would you know? if you never ran it? And apparently it's easier to dig up my front yard and break my sprinkler system than run a simple cable down my shower drain ??Yet somehow it was resolved with "a simple cable" after you dug up my front yard, and it's STILL backed up into the shower!!! All you have to do is look at the other reviews and see this is standard operating procedure for them.... run a cable ....say it's clogged.... sell a complete pipe replacement job..... for thousands of dollars ..... and onto the next scam!! if they had any business ethics at all, they would refund my money....

Seniors Beware!!!! I called the to unclogged my toilet and there was a $95 flat rate to do that. After guy came, he informed me that he couldn't the toilet that I needed to have him move the toilet out to try it and that would be an additional $200 so I agree to that after moving the toilet out to it he then said he still couldn't unclog it and that he would need to cut a hole in the wall to go in to clean a trap. He couldn't do that that evening and he would need to send two plumbers the following morning to do that . He agreed to complete the work and return the wall the way it was before. He then informed me that it would be $650 for the plumbers to come out and cut into the wall to put in a new pipe and I would need to pay them pay him in advance before the plumbers come the next day. I paid him the additional money they came out cut a hole in my wall put a pipe in and they left they did not fix the wall when the plumber came back. He tried once again and he said he still could not unclogged the pipes and that I probably needed to replace and get new pipes. And he said that would cost me three to $4000. At that point, I said no I will not agree to do anything else since all I ask is to toilet. I do believe that I was rip ripped off because I'm a senior and the more things he offered that I he came up with more and more money for a $95 call to unplug my I was told by the I would need to fix the hole in the wall myself because they don't do that . I do believe that I was scammed and ripped off because I am a senior and I think other seniors should be aware of this. The name of the guy who was a plumber his name was Josh and then his supervisor who I've talked to several times. His name is Paul Forbes. I do believe was false and it was a bait and switch type of fraud that was imposed on as a senior.DH

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received from this company regarding two clogged exterior drains. My initial request was for the cleaning of a French drain and a lower staircase drain on the exterior of my basement. We later expanded the scope to include four additional French drains around the house. While the team that came out was very nice and professional, the service provided was unacceptable. The lower staircase drain was destroyed during removal, bent beyond repair, screws were lost, and the door and surrounding areas were covered drain mud. Furthermore, this drain was not cleaned and remains clogged. I was also informed that the French drain in the same area was uncleanable, and a discount would be applied to my bill. Which has still not been applied. After multiple attempts to contact management, I finally received a call over a week later. This conversation significantly deepened my disappointment due to the dismissive attitude and gaslighting regarding the company's lack of care and inability to properly service customers or stand by their work. Since this debacle, my basement has flooded with over three inches of standing water because the French drain and staircase drain were left in a clogged state and never fixed. I have waited over two weeks for a follow-up regarding the resolutions they claimed would be made. However, given the recent flooding in my basement due to the unresolved drain issues, I have decided to share my experience publicly. I am genuinely unsure why this company has so many 5-star reviews. I urge potential customers to beware.

Do not hire this company! Back in February, I had them replace a section of pipe under my driveway. When they were done and had filled the hole back up, I noticed a long plastic pipe sticking out of the ground. I asked them what it was and they said it was "probably an old sprinkler line". Yesterday I went to turn my sprinklers on and water came rushing up from under the ground where they had dug. They had intentionally cut my sprinkler line and didn't bother to ask me what it was before they cut it or even inform me that it had been cut. What kind of professional plumber just randomly cuts pipes without knowing, or caring what it was or taking the time to inform the homeowner? If I would have been notified before they cut it, or even before they filled the hole, I could have either told them it was the existing sprinkler line or had an opportunity to have it repaired before they filled the hole. Now I have to dig back down and find the pipe to repair it. Luckily, I haven't had the concrete poured back over where they cut out my driveway yet! All of this could have been avoided by someone from Mr Rooter taking 30 seconds to have conversation with me. I called and spoke to, Justin, the person I had been working with on this job and his response was "I apologize for that but we will just cut through anything in our way. Sorry, but we don't repair sprinkler systems." I get that they have to gain access to where the repair needs to be made but that doesn't give them the right to destroy someone's property with total disregard. Be warned!
