A big thank you to Casey, not just for expertly repairing a leak on short notice, but for your wonderful customer service, and making my mom smile in a stressful situation. It’s because of pros like Casey that we’ve been a loyal John Murray customer for almost forty years. I can’t say enough good things - thank you!
I've been using John Murray Plumbing since moving to the SCV in 1996. Always great, responsive service. Very capable plumbers. Used them again this week to replace a bathroom sink. Blake did a terrific job. He is very customer service oriented, as is Amanda in the office.
Very responsive and well coordinated company. We needed emergency services and JMP dispatched a service unit within minutes. All contained and broken pipe replaced without wasting a minute! Great local company, and don't listen to nay slayers, because you pay for prompt service and expertise here.
I used John Murray because my condo Complex uses them and we have pretty bad pipes. So I called them for a leak from my shower upstairs. The sent a very nice man over who showed up on time and was very professional. After 2 hours he determined that the shower vaulve was leaking. 2 hours seems like a long time. I did tell him that I had replaced the bath overflow and thought I had messed that up. It turns out I was wrong and the issue was the shower valve. So I said ok go ahead and replace it. He informed me that he couldn't, an estimator would have to send me an estimate and he would have to come back and that the charge for today was $320. $320. keep in mind that is for cutting a hole in the wall and finding a leak that was 6 inches behind the wall. Then 3 days later I get an email asking for my email address so they can send me an invoice. I ask how much is it I want to get this scheduled. She explained she did not know and that the email would have the quote. I said ok and that I would wait. So the email comes. $1010 was the quote in addition to the $320 charged to say the valve was leaking. I have no idea if this is a good idea or not and I need it fixed so I called them to schedule. They informed me that I needed to sign the estiamate first and send it back. I said I did not have that facility. they basically gave some options for downloading ot my phone and signing on my phone, but pretty much figure it out yourself. I said this it too much work and that I would go with someone else. Side note I am actually on the HOA board I have not done business directly with them before, but I was told good things by the management company. Apparently they were not correct on their assessment of their customer service and pricing as searching on google show a reasonable price to be around $600 not $1330. So I will be looking at these invoices more closely when they come from the management company and start asking for competing bids.
It is rare to find a reasonably priced, good quality of workmanship in any business. I had quotes for some simple tasks which were three times the price that I paid today, and I had a serious, last minute added task to clear my main line. The total price was very reasonable. I plan on only using this business for all future plumbing needs and telling all of my friends. Thank YOU John Murray plumbing!
