John Moore Services
Plumber · Tomball, TX · Open 24 hours per Google listing
Our verdict
Arrives fast and does quality work, but pricing is steep and accountability gaps left one customer with a $1900 bill and an unrepaired ceiling hole.

What reviewers report — the concerns
Other directories bury these. We think you should read them before you call. Every concern below comes from the reviews it cites.
Red flag
One severe complaint involving diagnostic work spiraling into $1900 expense with no resolution and finger-pointing between John Moore and referred contractor—represents significant risk for scope creep and liability gaps
“After $1900 we still have a hole in our ceiling”
Pricing significantly higher than market expectations—two reviewers note costs felt excessive despite service quality ('thought the quote was very high'; 'expensive')
“Arrived quickly, worked efficiently, fast response from company.”
Cited in 2 of the 5 reviews we analyzed.
Poor accountability when recommending contractors—company deflected responsibility after referring a contractor who cut open ceiling but refused to repair it, leaving customer with $1900 bill and unfinished work
“After $1900 we still have a hole in our ceiling”
Keep it in proportion: these concerns are cited in 3 of the 5 reviews we analyzed. Most reviewers report positive experiences — see the full rating picture below.
The evidence — in reviewers' own words
Critical
“So DISAPPOINTED! We saw a ceiling stain that appeared to be from a water leak from our upstairs master bath. We called John Moore plumbing to see if they could detect if there was an active leak that needed repair. The first plumber (there were multiple) came out and said that the only way he could do a true inspection was to cut the ceiling and make sure that the pipe above it was not still leaking. It made sense. …”
Positive
“Elijah, the air‑conditioning technician who came out today was excellent. He arrived quickly, worked efficiently, and gave me more information than I expected — however just not in a good way. I’m still shocked that my system is in that bad of shape. I really appreciate his honesty, good expert advice and the fast response from the company. Expensive but great service all around and very thorough.”
“Brad was great. He arrived on time (8am-12pm) and was courteous, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Brad explained what I needed done and gave me 3 options for the work involved to make the repairs. He did not rush me to make a decision. I thought the quote was very high but I used John Moore because of the excellent jobs they had done on my home previously.”
