I feel lucky to say this might be our first experience with a plumber. Jerry's sent Mario to give us an estimate first, free of charge. He was informative, and I felt that he was very honest and upfront with me. (A second guy from a different company didn't leave me with that same feeling.) Next day, we decided to have the work done and Jerry's sent a gentleman named, John. He too was very professional. He made me feel comfortable and explained the work and the "why" in a way I could understand easily. He finished quickly and cleaned up any mess though he was careful not to make one since he was working in a carpeted bedroom. I am tickled with the level of service we received, and I would definitely call Jerry's again.
We had a crazy leak. Had to turn off the water to the whole house! Called Jerry's. Came within a couple of hours. John the plumber was great! He fixed our major issue super quick. He showed up with a mask on was very respectful. Thank you, Jerry's!
The plumber showed up on time. He wore a mask and shoe booties as I had requested. He was very thorough and answered any questions I had. He also cleaned up when finished. I would hire this company again.
BEWARE Before you use this company read the reviews from the other locations in Santa Barbara County. This is all one company. This company was used by Sears to install new appliances in our home. Even though installation was included they charged me another $150.00 saying it took longer than it should have. In addition they recommended $700 of work to change pipes and valves in the kitchen. I had another plumber come to give a second opinion. He did not feel that work was necessary and was essentially a scam since what they had proposed doing would not have made sense. I spoke with others in the area who had similar experiences with Jerry's. If you buy an appliance and the company uses Jerry's plumbing I strongly recommend trying to see if they will use someone else- or just hire your own trusted plumber to do it. I will never have them install anything I purchased again.
The folks at Jerry's Plumbing and Heating are nice enough, but they are not serious about getting the job done. I had a broken cartridge in a kitchen faucet. They were not at the house even an hour. When they removed the trim to expose the cartridge there was a 27mm retaining nut. The plumber said they do not typically work with socket wrenches, and left the job incomplete. But what is worse, they charged over $225 for the house call. No specials tools, no special parts, less than an hour of time, the job left unfinished and they still charged me over $225. Come on. I agree with some of the other reviewers; there must be better plumbing choices in SB County.
Terrible communication, and abandons jobs, both plumbing & heating. STAY AWAY. A month after moving in, we had an issue with our furnace, but we have home warranty with Fidelity, so they assigned us to Jerry's. Coincidentally, the same day the furnace was scheduled for service, we had a flood (sewer stoppage), so we thought we'd just go with the same company. Big mistake. The plumber who came was "after hours" so they weren't going to go through warranty, we had to pay $350 just for him to come. He couldn't diagnose source of the problem... he told us he didn't have the equipment, so they would need to continue the next day. The next day, a different plumber from Jerry's came, who had no knowledge of the previous attempt, but after we filled him in, he said he said could do the work, just needed to get us a price, and then he just LEFT without a word... we called Jerry's and they said first that he had other jobs to go to (obviously we weren't a priority), then said we were trying to pay them for the job through our warranty company (we weren't), and they wanted to be paid privately (which we said over and over, we were going to). After an agonizingly patronizing conversation, it was apparent this company had no intention to actually help us (just collect money for showing up) and was ill equipped to neither discuss nor complete the plumbing work needed, so after 2 days of being unable to use our plumbing, we decided to go elsewhere for our plumbing issue (but Jerry's did decide to cash in on the "service call" though, to get paid by our home warranty!!!) A week later, we tried to check on the status of our furnace repair only to find out from our warranty company that Jerry's submitted a "job complete" invoice to them (again, making sure they got paid for not doing any work), and we were going to be transferred to another service provider bc Jerry's was not going to come out to complete the service bc they received a bad review about walking out on our plumbing issue. It is January, the overnight low is going to be 40 degrees, and Jerry's plumbing and heating doubled down on walking away from their customer, literally leaving us in the cold, without explanation. Do not trust these guys.
Company of miscommunication, misrepresentation, and condescension. A service call was requested to address a plumbing backup problem. A technician came out, removed our toilet, and tried to access but could not. Then placed the toilet back (incorrectly) and stated they would need to run a camera up the line the next day to find it. Next day comes, a different technician, takes 2 minutes and says the same thing. So we say proceed with it and we will pay for it. Tech says “let me get you a price” and leaves. During this time, my wife was on the phone with the home warranty company to see about reimbursement. The tech says he can’t wait for that authorization so we told him to go ahead and we will pay for it privately. That’s when he said he would get a price and ghosted. I called the dispatch where I was put on an indefinite hold. After, my wife called again to be told that we we miscommunicated and the plumber had other jobs to do. Bad service, nothing resolved, and now out $350 dollars to be ghosted. I would not recommend this company to a sewer rat.
Very happy with their service. I called on a Monday and they were out there on a Tuesday. I had a two fold problem, my thermostat on my HVAC wasn’t working and I had a pressure valve for the house water supply that was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. They sent out a plumber and they sent out an HVAC guy. I felt the price was very reasonable, they were very professional, fast, and their follow up with paperwork invoicing was very professional and nice. Since the home is in Morro Bay and I am now in Texas they had a great opportunity to run the price up on the HVAC system. They were very accurate with what was wrong and he identified it was simply a switch had not been closed during the home inspection.
First of all, let me state that the appraisal was below two other local Plumbers in the Santa Maria Valley...Call Jerry's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. From the appraisal, scheduling, and work performed...top notch, great customer service and superior craftsmanship. Turned my previous plumbing snafu into a clean, efficient system...Damn thing looks like a work of art! As for the two plumbers doing the work, John & Jake, skilled tradesmen who keep me in the loop on everything performed and answered all the ignorant customer questions with professionalism. So if you need a Plumber, call Jerry's Plumbing...you will never second guess yourself.
The technician, David, was extremely knowledgeable aa well as very intelligent. He communicated extremely well both by phone and in person. He was able to "McGyver" the broken cartridge on the hot water side of our upstairs shower on Saturday afternoon into the off position which allow us to turn the main water back on in the house, early on Saturday afternoon. He was able to go to the supply house and acquire a pair of NOS replacement cartridges early Monday morning and basically rebuilt our 40 plus year old shower early Monday afternoon. David was an excellent mechanic aa well as a real gentleman too. I rate his service at 5 stars.
Your tech arrived on-time. He did introduce himself, but it slip thru my brain too quickly. Services was excellent. At my request he suggested two options of shower heads to replace the one he took off. He was up-front with the capabilities of the two heads and the associated cost. I believe in honesty and was that and more. I picked the upgrade model, which turned out to be a very wise decision, as it definitely has more useful features than the less expensive shorwerehead. I will definitely be calling you again for my plumbing needs. Thank You. Great job. Tom in Goleta.
Was pleased that my job was able to be responded to so quickly (within 30 minutes from time of my call). Your tech was pleasant and efficient. However, the leaking seal was due to broken bolts, which were installed within 1 year from when your company had previously installed a new bracket and bolts. I guess I expected some consideration of this circumstance in what I paid, and that the job was completed in less than an hour. Was disappointed that no effort was made to clean the bracket and tiles after the toilet was removed or replaced.
Stay away...plenty of other options in SB county. These guys have multiple yelp accounts all with consistently bad feedback for a reason. They robbed us of our insurance money and when we called to try and work something out they literally lied to me over the phone and when I called them out on it they refused to answer me anymore after that. They take zero ownership for their mistakes and customer service of any kind is lost on them. If you want good plumbing work call 805 plumbing....great honest guys and they do great work!
Terrible communication. First on a plumbing issue where they dropped the ball, now come to find out that they abandoned us again on a job that was already in progress for a furnace repair. They didn’t even tell us, we found out from our home warranty company (Fidelity, who first referred us), that bc of a bad review for the plumbing job they walked away from, they weren’t going to complete the furnace repair— even though they sent a ‘job completed’ invoice to Fidelity. Don’t trust this company, they will leave you in the cold.
I called Jerry's Plumbing and Heating for a problem regarding clogged sink. Omar, was the plumber that came to do the plumbing issue. He was very professional, forthcoming with the explanation of the job. I appreciated the estimate before the job was started. Omar was very efficient. I would have no problem recommending this business. They help me once before with a heater issue. I won't hesitate to call them again.
