Mark was amazing, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Highly recommend
Mark did a great job.
Prompt service. Super nice and friendly technicians Manny & Andy.
If I could give this place no stars I would. Two of their workers came to our home for work to be done and we could not be in the house while they were working. I placed items a certain way in our drawers to see if they would be looked through, and sure enough when I return my things were NOT as I left them. We were very bummed since we've seen them multiple times and were very satisfied with their work.
I am compelled to leave this review as a friendly warning to others who may want to use this plumber: We never had the chance to work with one of their technicians because hours before they were due to service our water heater, their office called us to demand that we put an open credit card number on file before they arrive. In all the years that we've lived here, no other plumber or local contractor that my family has worked with has ever asked us to do this. We protect our privacy and our finances and we are not in the habit of giving companies open access to our credit cards. When we politely and honestly explained that to them, they refused to compromise and give us the chance to be a new customer. They explained that they don't know us and that they do this to protect their business... ... but this is frustrating to us because we have excellent credit, pay our bills promptly, and have a solid sense of responsibility. We even offered to them that we would literally go out to the bank to get the cash at the end of the job (right when the plumber finished) in order to protect them, but they unbelievably refused again. I should add that during that same call they started listing to us all that could go wrong and suggested that a $105 service call could become a $2,000+ water heater installation! On the surface, this may seem considerate and responsible to some Yelp readers but taken with their stubborn insistence, it all made me feel uncomfortable and slightly disrespected. I'm not trying to ruin their reputation, but I kindly just want everyone to know what W.M. Rieck Plumbing is capable of.
This company installed our water softener and the system leaked resin beads into our entire home. They knew the damage this causes, never told us, and claimed it was ‘fixed.’ Over the next year we had failing appliances, pressure issues, leaks, and now potential mold. They refused to acknowledge any responsibility and even charged us full price for a premature water heater replacement caused by their mistake. This is unethical and dangerous service. *** Thank you for the reply. I will not be calling. For documentation and transparency, I prefer all communication in writing. To clarify the situation: we have time-stamped photos of the original installation because we were excited to show our family the “upgrade.” These photos clearly show that the water softener was installed incorrectly the first time. The two connection tubes were reversed. When resin beads began leaking into our plumbing, your team returned, swapped out the softener, and reconnected the lines the only other possible way… confirming that the original installation was backwards. We had to discover this ourselves after reviewing the photos. At no point did anyone warn us of the long-term consequences of resin beads entering a home’s plumbing system. We were told the issue was “fixed,” yet over the next year we experienced repeated leaks, failing appliances, pressure issues, and now potential mold. I have time stamped documentation of all of the above. My boyfriend even had to take a full week of vacation from his night-shift job to deal with the water heater leak that developed almost a year later… damage that directly aligns with resin bead contamination your technician never disclosed. Because of the MAJOR installation errors, the lack of warning, and the ongoing issues we’ve had to correct ourselves, I no longer feel I can trust your company to give accurate information or handle this responsibly. That is why I am insisting on written communication only. At this point, I need clear written answers to the following: 1. How resin beads entered our plumbing system 2. Whether the original installation met manufacturer specifications 3. Why we were not informed of risks, symptoms, or what to look for after bead discharge 4. What corrective action your company is prepared to take I will continue communication only by email so everything can be properly documented. I look forward to your written response.
Outstanding service starting with the first hello when I called. I have dealt so many times over the years calling other plumbing companies where no live person answers the phone, and after leaving a message it may take a day or two for a response, only to be told that they cannot respond for a day or two. When I called, Wm Rieck Plumbing I was told by the nice lady on the phone they could have someone out that day between 1pm and 3pm, if that was, okay? Great news! Then a short time later another call telling me that 'Paco finished a job early and if he could come on over. Even greater! I had been trying to clear the kitchen drain with over-the-counter plumbing products for days, and nothing had been working, and was fearing that the cost of calling in a plumber thinking, this could really be serious. We are seniors and my husband has serious health issues and I needed to get this rectified as soon as possible. I cannot say enough good things about Paco; he arrived, and I explained what was going on he calmed my nerves and with a smile on his face told me not to worry I'm going to fix this. What started out as a terrible day fearing the worst, turned out to be a wonderful encounter with an incredibly caring young man, and the invoice at the end was much less than other plumbers we have used over the years for similar work. Thank you.
Had company replumb house because they said it would be done in two days only, but it took 7 days. I told the foreman I didn't want any pipes exposed outside the house, but when connecting to the main said they couldn't connect it without running it outside. This happened because the foreman taking the word of a worker without assessing the original area where they cutout the sheet rock to install the pipe. All they had to do was drill several holes, then cutout the wood with a electric saw so that the angle pipe could come in from the attic. The original cutout area was never used. Gave them 3 chances to install my dishwasher back in its slot the same way it was before they had removed it to install pipes, which I had told them that they had to install the pipes high, just below the count top, instead I can tell that they install the pipes in the middle, which interfered with the dishwasher from going in properly. Also installed water valves wrong in master suite which required us to have to offset faucet and cabinet. Would have had them come back, but threatened with divorce by wife after a 45 year marriage if I had them come back because of the stress for us they caused, so stopped all further contact,
I had a pseudo-emergency last week and called numerous local plumbers, but understandably, it was Friday and would be difficult to get a tech out. WM Rieck plumbing came through and said they could squeeze me in. Freddie showed up promptly that afternoon to replace a cold water supply valve to my hot water heater-I had been without hot water for over a week due to another local plumber that dragged me along all week with no resolution, so I decided to do it myself. I was near completion and then the valve broke, putting the work to a screeching halt. Freddie had a professional attitude and finished his work in less than 30 minutes. My family thankfully had hot showers that evening. To boot, the price was very very reasonable and service, impeccable. I cannot thank them enough for getting our hot water back before the weekend. They are now my go-to plumber. As I type this, Ray, from WM Rieck Plumbing is at my home rerouting a drain pipe for me for another project, and it's looking good so far- again, professional attitude and top/notch service.
Without a doubt, this is the best plumber I've ever had. I was looking for a plumber that's honest with some integrity and honesty. I had Jeff Johnson, and he is super nice and honest. I had this plumber from having another dishonest plumber all in a three day period. You see, I needed to bring my hot water heater up to code, like a table for it to sit on. But afterwards my hot water heater started to leaked....a lot. So I called Jack's plumbing, and talked with Josh, told him my problem, and he sent out Jeff. For two days I tried to get someone back out to stop the leak, from the original plumber, I could not. Josh was so kind and sincere. Jeff came out twice. Jack's plumbing I promise you, you can trust them. It's a shame that some dishonest plumbers make it hard on the honest plumbers because most of us do not know how to recognize who is honest or who is dishonest. I'm so happy I called JACK'S PLUMBING. Thank you guys so much. Oh by the way, I just had my 86th birthday, and I was taken advantage of.
This is not a review on the plumbers or the work they do. This is a review on the lady who answered the phone today/customer service (04-13-2015 @ 1100). I asked if I could get a rough estimate of what it may cost to have the water line which is capped off behind my refrigerator hooked up for a new refrigerator that has an ice maker/water. She had an attitude that came off to me like I really don't want to speak with you right now. Anyhow, she told me it would be $76 an hour with a 1 hour minimum plus cost of whatever parts. I said have a good day and goodbye just based off of how she was talking to me. I understand we all have bad days, but you are selling a service and just lost one customer for this job. I say for this job because I have used this company before and had no issues, excellent service and work. If I call in the future and don't get the same tone/attitude I would probably use them again. If so, I will update this review at that time.
I had a crisis after I snapped the plastic cartridge in my shower mixer while trying to remove and replace it. None of the fixtures in my house have individual shut off valves so the whole house was without water until I found a plumber. Two other plumbers recommended Wm. Rieck because Wm Rieck has a crew and can respond quickly. The dispatcher had Leo out to my house in 4 hours. I expected to have to re-plumb the mixer, tear out drywall, cut pipes, sweat 8 joints, etc., but Leo calmly dug the remainder of the cartridge out without damaging the brass like I would have done. He brought the right replacement cartridge. He was in and out in less than 2 hours and the mixer worked better than ever. The bill was mostly for the part. And my house was habitable again. I really appreciate old fashioned, skilled tradespeople who come promptly to the rescue of homeowners in need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Our kitchen sink was clogged further than we were able to reach with our snake. Not an emergency, but they were able to send out a technician the next day. Mark did a fantastic job of getting the water flowing again. When he was done, I asked him about our bathroom sink, which has had a bad odor for as long as we've lived here. He had some good tips on how to clean it out and he ended up installing a new sink stopper assembly, which had broken a few months ago, so now it's all shiny and new. For a DIYer, it can be hard to bite the bullet and call in the professionals, but the quality of the work (and let's face it, not having to do it yourself or watch your partner do it while you are reeled into assisting them) is worth every penny (a little over 40,000 of them 😉). Would definitely recommend, Mark was great - professional and personable.
Carson from Jacks All American Plumbing came over this morning to fix a leaky irrigation valve. He told me that if he did it, it would cost around $600.00 because they don’t normally do those. So he helped me find a reputable irrigation company, I called them and Carson spoke with them to let them know the problem. Carson was absolutely wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and so kind and helpful. Each and every technician at Jack’s is as well. I’ve never had an issue with them in 10 years. They always do an excellent job, and that is why I always call Jack’s. Thank you Carson for being so kind and helpful. After Carson left, the irrigation company was here within an hour and fixed the problem without any problems. Great service and it didn’t cost anything close to $600.00.
Outstanding! First of all, they answered the phone at 8:15am. I hate leaving call-back messages. They verified my water heater (installed by someone else) was out of warranty while I was on the phone. They gave me a 2 hour time window for that day which was fine. They called back around 10-11 and said someone was available could they they come now. Sure! Emmett (nice guy) came right over with the new unit and had it going in no time. Before he left I asked about my pressure regulator that I've wanted replaced. He called to verify no immediate appointments and said he'd be back in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later he was back and the new regulator was finished in no time. Great job! Thanks! And the 10% veteran's discount didn't suck either!
