We were very happy with our experience. They came out when they said. They called ahead. They arrived on time and were very professional and didn't leave any mess. They were also friendly so we will definetely use them again
Highly recommend J Rowe, after looking online for a plumber that I felt I could trust I decided to try out J Rowe. I called them after 8:00 and Meshell actually answered me. She was professional and was able to make me an appointment for the next day. Then on the next day, she called and was able to get a plumber out to me sooner. Dillon was our plumber, no hassle and didn't try to up sell us additional things. He was also professional and respectful and got the job done fast and right. I will definitely spread the word for them.
Clannad and his partner were very professional and knowledgeable. They were also friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to help fix my old quirky house’s plumbing!
Rude receptionists wasn’t willing to answer any questions short and unprofessional
UPDATE Owner responded but did not call me to offer any solutions so this is really just spin control but I get it. Lots of arguing the wrong point this was not about paying the quoted rate it was about bait and switch You told me quote over email. Not true. You had the parts in your truck to do the job the first time but insisted on hunting for more expensive parts. Finally you quoted an install then half way through you changed your price by presenting a second quote I had no choice at that point. These toilets are no harder to install because they have electronics in fact they are easier just plug and play. What did your techs configure on the electronics? Nothing. They plugged it in handed me the remote.. Makes me mad that you would try to spin it this way and I’m tempted to file a complaint with the TAG for deceptive trade practices I needed a toilet installed and typically do it myself but was busy and thought I would let a professional do it. I saw good reviews and adds bragging they had lots of parts onboard and could get jobs done in one trip. In summary I think they do quality work but they are looking to charge as much as possible and are not looking out for the customer at all which I found disheartening in this economic time where people are struggling. I feel like I was taken advantage of. 1. I made an appoint. Asked for an estimate which their website says they will give you. Someone called to schedule the appointment when I asked what is the estimate, they said they were just a scheduler and could not give one they will give you one when they arrive so you get hit with a trip charge. Red Flag #1. 2. Arrived on time. Professional appearance. Looked at my toilet and the location and presented me a $500 estimate to install. Wow. I was expecting maybe $300 it takes like 30 mins. I was so busy and about to leave for a business trip so I just said ok do it at least it will be done and I assume professionally installed. Red Flag #2 3. Toilet installed but now we have a problem they cannot connect it to the wall because they don't have an adapter or the part. Now they present me with another estimate for $344 to install an adapter. Really? This is what really makes me mad. If they would have told me in advance they were going to need that I would have said not to do it but they waited until the toilet was installed. Not sure if this was just incompetence or planned but it's bad either way. Red Flag #3. 4. They say the part is rare or something. I pull one up at Lowes and buy it online in less than 5 mins. They say they will come back and install if I get the $12 part because they wanted like $150 to go get it. More craziness and Red Flag #4 5. They come the next day. They again say they can't get the part to work so going to go "research". I am without a toilet for a week. Red Flag #5. 5. I have to text them and say hello what is happening begging them to come charge me $350 to finish the job. They come back and basically make an adapter (copper to Pex) charge me $350 for that so why didn't we just do that day one???? Red Flag #6 So in the end, they completed the job for $844, 3 x the cost of the toilet which is absurd. Does it work. Yes. So far. Does the work seem like quality work? Yes it does. They forgot to caulk or did not care to but I am sure that is an add on. Guys who installed were nice enough, kept saying it was not them they have to charge this amount seemed embarrassed or it's just part of the sales tactic. Would I trust this company again? No I think they take advantage of people.
DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! They do not honor their warranties! Last year (2020), we had our entire house re-piped for about $8,000. J Rowe plumbing gave us a 20 year manufacture's warranty and a 5 year parts and labor warranty. This was stated on my signed invoice as well as well as the statement "Warranty does not cover rodent damage." This was all that was stated about this warranty. Unfortunately, one of our outdoor, frost-free, hose bibs was leaking water into the house as well as through the brick exterior. J Rowe plumbing wanted to charge me $275 to repair something that was clearly covered under our warranty that was on my signed invoice. The technician was extremely friendly and told me to call the office when I didn't agree. I finally got on the phone with Mishell, the co-owner of the company. Mishell told me that this was not covered under the warranty and that freezing pipes is considered "common knowledge" about not being covered under warranty. I asked her why the warranty exclusions were not put on the contract/invoice. She stated that it would "take up too much room." I told her once again what my invoice stated about the warranty (the only exclusion being rodent damage) and she would not honor it. I asked her to send me an email listing the warranty exclusions and she said "I will get to it when I have time--I'm busy." I told her that I wasn't happy of her decision and also told her that she needs to include the warranty exclusions in her invoices for the future. I also said that I thought it was sad that she would destroy a relationship with someone over a part that costs $15. She said "well [the relationship] has already been damaged." Clearly an $8,000 job doesn't mean anything to this company. I will not be recommending J Rowe plumbing to anyone in the future. I am disappointed that someone would run their company like this. A suggestion would be to apologize for not having it included and fix it without charge. I have still yet to receive this warranty exclusion email. Clearly customer service is not J Rowe Plumbing's forte, nor is the owner concerned about customer service.
I would never recommend this company, especially their tech James who is a total scammer!! I had a relatively easy fix (1.5hr job for a rookie tech); a leak in a 1" nipple between the water meter and the water pressure reducing valve on our water supply line. I showed their tech exactly where the leak was; he immediately started to tell me we needed to replace the entire water supply line from the meter to the house...ya, without even digging in. Again, I showed him the actual leak, and explained all that needed to be done. He looked at it for a moment, then agreed and cleaned out around the hole at the meter box. When he dug out around the pressure release valve it was clear to see all he needed to do was replace the nipple and plum the valve back in. Again, he started telling me he needed to replace everything because it would not work unless he did this and that... he just kept talking, making thing up (one of those guys who think all homeowners are all idiots). I actually got down and pointed out what needed to be done; again silence, then he agreed I was right... what an ass!! He wanted to do a lot of work on our line that was not needed. I am an engineer by trade, my specially was troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, piping (pluming) issues. This job should have been completed in 1.5hr's tops. My wife keep asking me why he was just standing around on his phone all the time... Because of lack of actual work the job took him two (2) hours, he ended up replacing the nipple that was leaking, but then replaced all the new brass extensions/fittings on the water pressure reducing valve we had installed a few years prior (in great condition) and he replaced those with PVC pipe... He charged us $589.00 for this. Beware of this company!!!
I've had two bad experiences with plumbers and plumbing companies in the past 9 months when I reached out to JRowe Plumbing. I called yesterday at just after 5 p.m. with a "no-rush" job I needed to get a quote on. I expected to leave a messages and someone would get back to me sometime. To my delight, Lisa, the dispatcher, answered the phone. She was driving, but said she'd call back in about a half hour to help me. She then called back and set me up quickly for the next day between noon and 2. The plumbers, Jamey and Jessie arrived, I showed them the project, and they said they'd get my quote ready by no later than the next morning. Both plumbers were very knowledgeable and professional, and both asked great questions to help them learn more about the job. They didn't make me feel rushed and were genuinely interested in my project and how they could best help me. I appreciated how they made a few suggestions based on my answers, and asked if those suggestions made sense to me. It demonstrated how they sought to find solutions that were affordable and efficient. What a breath of fresh air!!! In a sea of plumbing companies, JRowe Plumbing, along with plumbers Jamey and Jessie, popped to the top. The company really impressed me for hiring plumbers who have excellent communication skills, as well as great plumbing skills! Too many companies fail to realize how important communication is! Thanks for working me in so quickly, too, Lisa!!! The job was completed, done well, and they cleaned up after themselves! Very reasonable priced, too. I'd hire them again in an instant!!!
EDIT EDIT: I owe Jason and J Rowe an apology. After 3 other plumbers telling me the same thing on what the city would have inspected in 2019, (the city only said I passed, not specifically what they look at) I'm convinced the city would have not checked out everything I thought they would have. J Rowe was recommended by a business I 100% trust so I feel confident I posted the bad review before getting sufficient information. We did still go with another company this time, but not due to this. Jason came out for leaky water heater. Husband said he seemed like a decent guy. Jason stated water heater set up was not to code and he couldn't even work on it. He would have to do a lot of rework to it. And we would need a new water heater. Water heater had been City inspected in 2019 when plumbing work had been done. Called city when he left and they verified it had passed their inspection and no known changes to code since then. Misti, the lady who answered the phone, was very delightful and got us a very quick appointment. She's why they are getting more than one star. EDIT: Mishell called me pretty quickly to discuss why I left a bad review. I appreciate that they care about any bad experience a customer might have.
Please use caution when selecting this company for servicing your plumbing needs. They partially completed a job by removing my water closet a week ago because I was having new flooring replaced. When I contacted them this week to have them return to reinstall the closet, I asked what the total charge would be. How about over $400 initially. When I questioned why so high, it was reduced to $351. This was to remove a toilet...20 minutes at most leave and return at another date to reinstall it. Then, I asked Jeffery about the company warranty, as I was concerned if they would cover my flooring if the toilet leaked. He balked and said no he would not cover it. I then asked to have a written warranty for the services I would be paying for. I did not receive a favorable answer and he hung up. Later in the morning I received an email stating I owed them $156 for the initial service and that I had requested they not return to complete the job. This was a frivolous statement, I said no such thing. I will pay my $156 as I owe that, but this shady action and cost for his services are way over the top and needs to be heard by future clients.
Yesterday I saw a plumbing truck 2 houses down and went over and asked the gentleman if he had a card and took the time while working on the other house to ask me some qualifying questions about my issue. The fact he was on another site and didn’t pass me off to just call was impressive and really showed me he takes pride in his job and customers who need help. Told me to call the number and ask for the co-owner Jesse Morales. I called the number and I think the person who answered the call was Jenny (if I am wrong let me know and I will correct). They worked to try and schedule me that day but had to come the following morning between 8am-10am. Showed up on time and even received a text indicating who would be there and they were on their way with a picture of the worker. Fixed our issue within a few hours perfectly, offered a referral for the flooring issue due to the flooding and is sending an estimate for another issue I will need fixed. I cannot express my gratitude other than letting anyone know who needs plumbing work done these are the ones to call!
I called J Rowe to get a quote for a simple residential job. Their business truck is parked on the same road I live on, so that is why I called J Rowe and I figured it would be convenient for the plumber. The office secretary gave me time frames to schedule a plumber. The time frame was in the afternoon when I would be home from work. The day the plumber was scheduled to come, she called me 3 hours ahead of time saying that the plumber was ready to go to my home. I reminded her that I was at work and that I would obviously have to be home for the appointment. She was very insensitive and just told me, "Well the plumber is ready. Take it or leave it, otherwise we will reschedule" I told her how rude she was and that I was cancelling the appointment due to the unprofessionalism of her tone. I don't know the quality of workmanship that this company provides, but if they are hiring office staff that should be representatives of the company, steer clear!! There are many other plumbing companies that appreciate the business they receive.
I just tried to visit another business that they share a lot with and one of the guys was talking to another man in a red truck who was blocking the entire path forward into the lot and wouldn't move their truck to let me drive past them. They both made eye contact with me and remained there watching me wait for them to move over to allow me clearance and instead they continued their conversation without moving over to allow me to pass. The owner of the business that I was visiting confirmed that this was not uncommon behavior for them. They didn't know whether I was a potential customer yet they couldn't even be courteous enough to share a pathway for other cars to drive by and after reading some of the negative reviews regarding their unprofessionalism, it appears that this is a trend with this business. I'm writing this to say that if a business behaves in this disrespectful and inconsiderate way with strangers and business neighbors, I would ask myself, is this the type of "business" one would want to do business with? 🤔
Josh was amazing! He was very professional and described what he was planning on doing. He completed the job in a timely manner and was so friendly. I don't know much about the pricing but I felt it was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend. 🙂🙂 Adding to this review that Larry and Augustin came out after we had a gas leak and were able to resolve the issue quickly and courteously. I also decided to have them replace my very old water heater. Their prices are reasonable and they are great about communicating what they are doing. Still highly recommend. Adding again on 10/27/2025. We have had a continuous usage notice from the water dept. Larry and Gus came out and did a check. They came to the conclusion that it was the auto fill valve for our pool that is hooked into our irrigation. They checked a number of things around the house and gave advice. They were professional and polite. Still highly recommend.
My name is Gary Gordon. I had never used this company before nor had I heard of them. I just crossed my fingers and prayed. I was dealing with another company to help me with an unusual plumbing problem with my kitchen sink. I was told point blank that I needed to purchase a completely new faucet because of ONE small part. Of course I did want to. I called J. Rowe and they Jeremy. He and his assistant promptly diagnosed the problem. Jeremy took a picture of the broken part and sent it to his parts guy. Within the hour he had the part and installed it! He was fantastic! Needless to say that I was extremely pleased and relieved! Thanks to Jeremy and J. Rowe my New go to plumber. 5 plus stars.
