What To Watch Out For
One sink-snaking job at $350 backed up two days later; the company did come out Monday morning to re-snake further.
A 2022 backflow-valve replacement leaked again in March 2023 and reportedly again in October 2025, with the company unwilling to redo a third time without charge.

Nicest, most responsive and reliable business I have dealt with. Faith Ivy (owner's wife) was amazing to speak and text with. Prompt and great work from Aaron, who was sent to replace a hose bib. A kind and gracious man as well. Written estimate beforehand. Recommending to friends and neighbors 100%. Have worked with other plumbing services, Ivy is the best by far.
I had an excellent experience with Ivy plumbing who installed my new water heater. They were professional, efficient, and made the whole process stress-free. Not only did they handle the installation perfectly, but they also connected me with someone who could transport my old water heater and return it to Lowe’s with me. The communication was great, everything was done on time, and the service went above and beyond what I expected. I highly recommend them for anyone needing plumbing work or water heater services!
This is my second time using Ivy Plumbing. They did a fantastic job on my house, I didn’t hesitate to call them to take care of my mother’s condo. They arrived early, ansses the problem and explained everything that needed to get done. Very efficient and knowledgeable technicians (Trae and Aaron). I have found and will continue to use Ivy Plumbing for all my future needs.
Replaced backflow in August 20 22, Anthony came out and replaced the backflow valve on our sprinkler system. In March 2023, we noticed that it was leaking again. Anthony agreed to come out and fix it. We were surprised it was leaking so quickly after replacement. he said he would not charge us but that it would be the last time. After that we would have to pay all over again. On October 27, 2025, and Sprinklers came out to do normal maintenance on our sprinkler system and the backflow valve was leaking just as it had when Anthony replaced it and then fixed it eight months later. The backflow valve appeared to be very old according to the technician. When Anthony said he replaced it in August 2023, I did not retain the part. This time I will retain it. This repair is quite expensive. My bill today including some other adjustments was $895. I'm writing this to advise you that if you use Curtis Plumbing, retain the parts that they replace. I'm still not convinced that Anthony ever replaced the backflow valve in the first place.
I contacted this business 4-5 times after their service. They did not respond. I contacted through email and text multiple days at different times with questions with no response. This cost me $215 because they did not respond to update my invoice. I also had an estimate completed from them and I am cancelling this as they did not help with the previous service. They never followed up with me about that estimate. I can't use a place that does not respond and lacks professionalism. Would NOT recommend.
A hole had been drilled through my gas line. The home and everyone inside are okay. So I called 3 contractors. The first two missed the appointment they set. I was frantic and quite worried. We'd been without hot water for a week and cold showers really are no fun. I checked Yelp and found Curtis Plumbing. When I first called no one answered, so I hung up and just decided to deal with it the next day. About 15 minutes later Curtis calls and asked me if I needed plumbing services. I explained my situation and how id already been let down by two contractors. Not only did Curtis express empathy but he also said he could be out the next day. The next day came and he was on time. He explained this was a big fix and would take a few hours to complete. Curtis did not have enough gas line to fix the issue, but he did cap the current line and cut flow to the kitchen so we could have hot water in the meantime. He ordered the roll of flex line and came out as soon as it came in. Curtis did a phenominal job without destroying my kitchen. I recommend Curtis Plumbing to anyone. Honestly, he is the most honest contractor we've ever had. He didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary stuff...did not mislead us and above all did quality work. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is so difficult to find honest contractors who do quality work.
Like any good service provider or doctor, when you find one you can trust you'll follow them ANYWHERE they go. That's our experience with Curtis!! We got to know Curtis when he was with a large plumbing company that will remain unnamed. While he was with them the service we received was straight forward and honest HOWEVER after Curtis left we found out the hard way that the on-site plumbers were now being expected to sell "maintenance contracts". Ours was signed back in January and to date we've not received a SINGLE follow up call to schedule the "routine" service that is part of the "maintenance contract" we signed. Not only that, when we were having the plumbing issue back in January we were given a hard sell to have a mainline clean-out drain installed for an astronomical amount. Needless to say, a month ago when we were having a plugged kitchen drain issue we DIDN'T contact the large plumbing company we had the "maintenance contract" with...we tracked down Curtis and he's our plumber from now until the end of time! It's nice to know that when Curtis walks in the door we will once again get the same straight forward and honest service HE provided before because that's the kind of business owner Curtis is! Don't ever change man!!
Had an outside hose bib take a dive. Unfortunately finding a DIY replacement didn't work out fur us. So I put in an appointment request with IVY online and had a very quick automated response and then good follow up for the booked appointment. Was called day of appointment and they stated they were able to get to us a little earlier if we were available. Luckily we were. Notified tech en route and with a tracker and picture of tech to boot. Love that. Trae arrived. Smartly dressed and professional looking van too. Quick diagnosis, two optional quotes for service depending on difficulty getting the replacement bib done. Luckily the lessor worked out. Work was done in quick fashion and payment on the spot made quick work of this project. It's not hard to see why the reviews carry a 99% 5 star rating for this company. As in all things for home owners we hope we don't need the services, but knowing that one day we will need the services,, you are our goto. Nice job and thank you!
I was immediately impressed with Curtis from our first conversation. I had family arriving within a couple days, and he was very determined to work around my schedule to make sure I had an operational shower in time for my guests. He assured me nothing would be done without my approval and with an agreed, final price. Upon arrival, the first thing Curtis did was put on shoe covers to prevent transferring dirt and bacteria from his shoes on to my carpet and floors. I'd never seen another service company do this! We do not wear shoes in the house due to cultural significance and hygienic reasons, so you can imagine how happy I was. I was comfortable with him being in my home; he is very friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job. He made plumbing recommendations and did some additional tweaking to faucets around the house at no extra charge. I definitely recommend Curtis for any plumbing issues and we will be using him again!
I called for a plumber to run about 5 feet of PVC to install a Water Softener. This is something I did by myself with relative ease and success at my last house. 3 yrs, 0 leaks or issues. First appointment, no one showed up. I called to reschedule, "We've been very busy". They did not call or email to say they weren't coming. Second appointment... 2 hrs after my appointment time, they called. Sir, we are running late and can't get there today. This is after I had waited 2 hours past my 4 hour window. Called for a 3rd appointment, they gave me a 10% discount.. showed up an hour and a half late, then it took their guy 5 hours to do something I could have done myself. It hasn't leaked or had any issues, so that's why I gave them 2 stars. I guess they are okay if you can get them to show up. I guess that's what I get for being lazy.
Curtis plumbing definitely went above and beyond our expectations. We went through multiple plumbers to get someone knowledgeable and trusting to repipe our whole house and they did an amazing job. It took 3 days for them to complete the job because it was an older home, but Curtis was here everyday working along side another worker and was great at communicating with me about any complications they ran into which was only one. Above all else they repaired all the drywall where they needed to cut through and extra holes from previous issues that he saw and offered to repair, which other plumbers were trying to charge extra or didn't fix them at all. He was very honest about it all and I will definitely be using his company in the future!
I called Ivy Plumbing because John had advised me on a kitchen remodel previously. I had two leaking toilets and two leaking showerheads. His two plumbers came within the scheduled two-hour window the next day, put on booties before coming into the house, quickly assessed each bathroom and promptly provided a very fair estimate. They went about their work quietly and competently. They were very respectful. They ran into one snag and had to run out and get an extra part. In all that they finished the work in a few hours and you wouldn't have even known they were there - they cleaned everything up so well. I am very pleased with the communication, pricing and service from Ivy Plumbing and will use them again for any future plumbing needs.
I did a five star review before, but forgot to put in my comments. I had a leak under my sink. Plus I was having problems with my faucet. They immediately knew the problem was from the faucet. Luckily, they had one in their truck, so they replaced my old faucet with the new one they had on their truck. It hardly took any time and John and the other plumber with him were very friendly and respectful and told me the options that I had. I will definitely use Ivy Plumbing for any plumbing needs that might arise in the future. Thank you so very much. Oh yes, they gave me a 10% senior discount, which was very much appreciated.
I like the idea that someone answers the phone when I called. I was given an appointment the same day. John was very friendly and knowledgeable, he told me upfront what it would cost for him to go up on the roof to do what he had to do, then when he was done he had some suggestions I could do to try to avoid this same issue. He told me if this did not fix the issue what I would have to do. I appreciated all that he told me. I would highly recommend him to anyone that had a plumbing problem.
Myself and two neighbors recently hired Ivy Plumbing for a PM ( preventative maintenance) sewer line clean out and we were all thoroughly impressed. They were extremely professional, honest pricing, and efficient. They used a camera to inspect the line and then performed the Hydro Jetting process to thoroughly clean the walls to reduce the occurrence of future sewer backups Highly recommend and I will most definitely be calling Ivy Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.
