We had a widow lady in our church have an issue with one of her bathrooms. She called me asking for a plumbing recommendation because hers was not available for a couple more days. I recommended IPS to her after a friend recommended you all. You arrived on scene in less than two hours, got the repair done, and stated you would invoice her later. She was so happy with the service you provided her. Thank you for taking great care of your customers. Although you did not know she was widowed, your company and your technician put her at ease and made her very satisfied. I appreciate what you did for her.

These guys are great for larger new construction projects. And what’s great is they have a separate sort of department for smaller remodel work, so they are able to handle both types of work well , which can be a challenge. Dave is great at working with contractors on kitchen and bath remodels and a lot of the contractors in town that I have referred them to have really appreciated their top notch service. I would recommend. Probably not a home services, service call kind of outfit m, but maybe I’m wrong about that. Highly recommend !!

They never showed for a job estimate. When I called they said they never got confirmation from me. They said they called me 4 times and I only got one missing call from a different number. Terrible logistics. This criticism is not for their job, is for their logistics and customer service. The person that answered the phone when I called very rude person. I don't believe that's how you treat potential clients.

Contacted them to install a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater. One of their plumbers came out for a site review and after a week, I called to get an update. Called to ask status and was told I would be called back. Called back the next day to ask status and was told I would be called back. I did receive a call back shortly after the second call and was told the job would take 2 days and would need two plumbers and they could not schedule any time for the foreseeable future. I would have appreciated the truth up front that they did not want the work.

I called Independent Plumbing Solutions and spoke with the lady receptionist and asked if they were willing to work with my home warranty company, 2-10 Home Warranty. She put me on hold and when she came back said no. I explained I want an inspection so I can get an authorization so I can get the go ahead for the repairs. She abruptly asked, what exactly is your question, what do you want... I explained, I did not want to go through my issues then ask toward the end about the insurance, I wanted to verify if you were willing to work with an insurance company which is what my insurance company instructed. I need plumbing repairs that I know they can provide yet wanted to make sure you are willing to assist me with the insurance company so they can be in the loop. She put me on hold again and came back and said she only work with home owners, which I said I am the homeowner, she said I'll have to pay, which I said yes, I was aware of that is not an issue. She never answered my question... I asked do you work with insurance companies? She replied no. I said thank you and ended the call. The reviews are not accurate...this is the first company I called based on its reviews and I am very disappointed. Their customer service is not good nor is their willingness to assist.

I woke up on Thursday morning to find that my master bedroom toilet was broken. I am an 81 year old man who lives alone with severe heart disease and it is not safe for me to leave my bedroom at night due to medications. I called several larger plumbing companies in Fort Collins first and was told by each one that there were no available appointments and that I would have to wait until the next week to be seen. I explained my situation and still no one was able to make a exception based on the severity of my need. Out of frustration I called my daughter to have her help me find someone. She found Independent Plumbing Solutions, Inc. on the internet, gave them a call and they were able to send someone within the hour. The owner Chizum, who she (and I) spoke with on the phone and the master plumber Mike who repaired my broken toilet were extremely personable, nice, professional and were able to get it fixed in a very short amount time. I couldn't have been more happy and relieved. IPS is a great company and is my new to go for any plumbing needs I have in the future. I originally called one of the larger, highly rated plumbing services in town when my pipes started rattling and banging in certain situations. They sent out a professional and friendly technician who correctly diagnosed the problem, but their quote seemed outrageously high. When they started trying to sell me on their loyalty program, I started to suspect I was getting scammed. I called IPS for a second opinion, and they quoted me at literally half the price for the same parts and labor, and were able to come out on the next business day. Their plumbers replaced a PRV and expansion tank, and weeks later everything is still working great. I'm so glad I chose IPS--they did a great job and saved me hundreds of dollars. I appreciated that they didn't try to expand the job or sell me on additional services. They have earned my trust and will be my go-to plumbers from now on.

I had used Independent Plumbing once before in 2019 to replace toilet hardware in my rental in Ft. Collins. At the time I found them to be priced fair, did a good job and had good communication. Fast forward to early 2022 and the water heater went out, so I called them again as my go to plumber. I was shocked at the $2500 charge to replace the water heater, there was nothing out of the ordinary about the job, but they told me prices increased 80% in the last year. I decided to call around and their rate was $500 more than their closest competitor, I ended up hiring someone else for $800 less who used the same model water heater and filed all the county permits. Independent Plumbing was unwilling to match competitors and I felt they were taking advantage of me as an out of town landlord. I will not use them again and would advise others to shop around.

So first of all they took out this huge juniper bush that my wife told me to dig up over a year ago, cut it up and loaded it for me. We had that dammed blue poly water line running from the city shutoff to the basement meter shutoff. IPS arrived at 8 a.m., quickly formulated a plan with backup options and started the job. It was a big one that required digging a trench because the builder left over 130 feet of that cursed line coiled deep beneath the foundation. The city shut the water off at 10:15 a.m. and it was back on at 3.15 p.m. Just a quick, very professional top notch job accomplished with no disruptions at a price that was $2000.00 less than the other firms quoted. Plus that darn juniper is gone. These guys are the absolute BEST!!!! Great company, great plumbers and Chizum made it all as easy as pie. Many Thanks!!!!

These guys just replaced our cast iron drain pipe that was underneath a concrete slab in the basement. Talked to Chism about our situation and he came out to take a look at the basement to see if there was a way to come up with another more cost effective solution that didn’t require ripping out concrete. Turns out that we needed to. We decided to do the concrete work ourselves and have them come in to do the pipe replacement. So we got the plan together and set a date. Tyler came by and swapped the pipe out in no time. He told me how he was going to do it and got it done! In and out. Both guys were on time and answered my questions with confidence and professionalism. On time and delivered. Will use IPS again. They DIDN’T ask for or offer any incentives for this 5 star like some companies do.

I hired IPS to replace all of our aging and leaky copper pipes with PEX as well as replace an old hot water heater. I got bids from 4 different plumbers. IPS's bid was very competitively priced but more importantly, they took the time to walk through and explain comprehensively what work they would be performing- and what they would't be doing. There were a few minor issues that came up after the job, and each time they came out and rectified the problem quickly and without charge. Over one year later (technically out of warranty), we experienced a leak that wasn't even related to their PEX retrofit, but they still came out and fixed it- immediately without charge. I highly recommend them. Chizum and the rest of the folks at IPS are incredibly fair and responsive.

After calling 6 different local plumbers and getting the run around I called Independent Plumbing Solutions and met with Chizum McKinzie. He came out to my house, inspected the problem and provided the best solution, not to mention he was honest and professional. Chizum McKinzie and Daniel Baumgartner came to my house Tuesday morning and replaced my main water line from the sidewalk into my basement. They were both professional, organized and efficient. I could not believe they were able to complete the job in one day. They cleaned up their mess and checked in with me the next day to make sure everything was ok and see if I had any questions. I highly recommend Chizum, Daniel and Independent Plumbing Solutions for any and all plumbing needs.

Most recently, they went way above and beyond and just took care of something for me! I have used another service in the past , but for the past 14 years and forward, I will never go anywhere else. Whether your job is a new build, a remodel, or routine, I know you will be super pleased if you call IPS! I contacted this company to assess a gas leak that is noted in our backyard underground. I had made an appointment with them for a Tuesday, while waiting for them to show up, I contacted them to find that I was not even put on their schedule. They did find someone to come out that afternoon, and when he arrived, he didn’t really even know why he was here nor did he do anything. I asked if he was going to do a pressure testing on our gas line and he said no. He said I’m going to turn on the gas to see if I can smell a leak anywhere. After doing so, he didn’t inform me of his findings nor have I heard back from the company and it has been over a week. I am sadly disappointed!
