I Know A Guy Plumbing

This is my go to plumber from now until forever. Great people. Great service. Locally owned and operated. Twice now they have gotten me out of a tight spot. Today it only took Matt a total of maybe 2 minutes.

I was in need of a new water heater. Matt was referred. So glad he was. Matt is a courteous , kind and professional. He arrived on time, was great in during the whole process from installing to cleaning up. He takes time explaining the problem, solution, process and pricing. Discusses his knowledge of his profession ( learning and working in the plumbing industry with his dad) and enjoys talking about his family, his children and his love of his community and giving back. I highly recommend him and know you will find him as pleasant and professional as I have. 02.27.26 update. I felt that my water just wasn’t hot enough, gave Matt a call and he showed up the next morning, made necessary adjustments with no charges. Great service!! Thank you Matt! You’re much appreciated.

Matt was incredible! I called them on Saturday in a panic, but once I told them what was going on along with sending pictures, they quickly calmed the anxiety and put us at ease. We scheduled the repair for first thing Monday morning. He was in and out in about an hour and half. No mess left behind at all. He even put on the new part we had purchased. Which I didn’t think he was doing. So it was a nice surprise to see that he went ahead and took care of it. Matt was a blessing overall! Super nice family owned business and super nice guy himself. Thanks for giving such A++ service!! We will definitely be recommending to our friends and anyone who asks where they can find a good plumber. Oh!! And to top it off… nobody would have been able to beat their pricing. Fairly priced for sure, generous actually. Thanks for that too!

I'll start by saying I couldn't have been more impressed with Matt and my whole experience with I Know A Guy Plumbing-. Now, the details. My uncle was a plumber, so he took care of all my plumbing needs until he died last year. I have a lot of trust issues with other plumbers. Right away, I perceived that Matt is a man of integrity, and his ongoing actions reinforced that belief. Plus, he grew up as the son of a Responsible Master Plumber (RPM is the specialized license), so he experienced challenging jobs long before he was a Responsible Master Plumber himself. So, I was confident he could handle our slab leak, and as a bonus, his price was the lowest out of the 3 quotes we received. Next, the communication was outstanding. Matt's wife, Kayla, is his office manager, and she did a great job of keeping us informed. Naturally, the job being done correctly is of the utmost importance. Matt pulled the permit without us having to ask him to do so, and the city inspector said Matt did a quality repair. That gives me confidence that everything was fixed as it should be. The excavation crew that Matt uses made a beautiful hole in our garage, using very little space, and after the plumbing repair was done, they did a outstanding job packing the dirt back in, and using rebar drilled into our existing cement before pouring new cement. I have confidence that the new cement will stay intact with the rest of the garage floor. Finally, I love that this is a small business, so I know that I'm going to get the same guy and the same quality every time. The only thing I don't like about writing this review is I hope that Matt's business never gets too big for him to be my personal plumber in the future.

Matt and Kayla are awesome…. And their apprentice Cody was great too. I provided the Marathon 50 gallon water heater and they removed the old water heater and installed the new water heater - in the attic (I do most of my own work but I despise plumping). Wonderful family owned business. For future plumbing issues - they are my “Go To” from here on out. They are also providing an estimate for plumbing up an ice machine for my shop. Update to this review - well it has been a couple of months since we had Matt and Kayla out for the last water heater replacement. Now, fast forward to 6 January 2026 and we had another water heater give up the ghost … we contacted Matt and Kayla and they were “Johnny on the spot”. They handled the warranty for us (we use Marathon water heaters manufactured by Rheem because they offer a lifetime warranty) - they located a new Marathon unit, picked it up and installed in the second floor attic. Thanks again Matt and Kayla - and like I said earlier - I’ll give you a shout if I need the sprinkler system repaired.

I cannot say enough good things about Matt and Kayla at I Know A Guy Plumbing! They came out at 9 o’clock at night to unclog my toilet, and not only did they save my weekend, but they also did it without price gouging. They were so nice, so sweet, and incredibly professional from start to finish. It’s rare to find a company that treats you with this much respect and fairness, especially in an after-hours emergency. They’ve now earned a spot at the very top of my “first to call” list for any plumbing issue. Truly the most professional, reasonable, and kind team I’ve ever worked with.

We had a bad clog many feet downstream of our kitchen sink drain. We tried the cheap ways first - pour in chemical, pots of boiling water, a snake - no dice. Matt arrived quickly and performed a thorough evaluation of the site before getting to it - was impressed by his professionalism. He had all necessary gear. The job was done cleanly and efficiently and we are back to using our kitchen. He is also great with dogs - our two warmed up to him and was all gravy. Matt is the guy to call for your plumbing needs in the greater Josephine and surrounding areas. Thanks.

Matt and Sam from I know a guy Plumbing are 100% fantastic! Figured out that I did not have a sewer leak on my house before my foundation work. very knowledgeable. On time Professional courteous even when my kids were around. it did not bother them they had conversations with them told them what they were doing. The owner of the company and I grew up together. Haven’t seen a lot of each other in our adult years. When I called him with a plumbing issue he was there in less than an hour, on a weekend morning, and was happy to help. I Know A Guy Plumbing will arrive on time and will treat you like family. They actually care and take the time to answer every question and do the job correctly as if they were working on their mother’s home. I highly recommend them and will only call Matt for any plumbing issue I ever have.

Had our gas water heater serviced. Did not cost us an arm and a leg. Professional and fast. Explained what he was doing. Mr. Staggs was very courteous and answered all of my questions. I would not hesitate in using their services again or recommending them to family and friends. Plus, I asked the background behind his business and he said he grew up in the plumbing business because of his dad's 30-year plumbing service out of Plano. He also shared they give back to the community. Awesome hometown business.

I normally do not write reviews, but this review is well deserved. To experience plumbing issues around the Holidays is very stressful. However, I Know A Guy Plumbing was is a blessing 🙌 🙏 and prayers answered. Matt serviced my home within 24 hours of calling in to request service. It is blessing to know we still have people around who loves what they do and do with a kind heart and smile. I am forever grateful to run across the company and will continue to use this company in the near future.

I had a really great experience with Matt and I Know A Guy Plumbing. He was friendly from the start, showed up quickly, and got everything taken care of without any hassle at a great price. The response was quick and timely, the service was pleasant and professional, and the issue for us was resolved!
