This fall, we were in desperate need for a good plumber when our tankless hot water heater broke. We took a chance on Hudson Plumbing because they service and install our brand of hot water heater. Boy, are we glad we did! Mike has had to come back a couple more times since then for unrelated plumbing repairs and every time he is nothing but professional and friendly. He has many years of experience in his field and it shows! Quality work, fair prices, and overall great company. It is a small business so sometimes you may have to wait a few days for non-emergency work, but Hudson Plumbing is worth the wait!

In my opinion, you will not find a more solid plumber than Mike Hudson. Mike has worked on 3 different projects for our family and we never had the slightest problem with his work or his professionalism. Selecting a plumber is one time when you don't want to skimp on a untrained, non-professional. "Pay cheap, pay twice" comes to mind. Mike was worth every penny and he's a great guy to work with.

Honest,Best Plumbing Company around! Hudson Plumbing has helped our family out in 3 different homes and honestly I would never consider using another plumber. My son who had just bought a house in Portage Lakes was told he had to replace the cast iron drain in his basement at a tune of $2600 from one of those franchise plumbing companies. Mike Hudson came in and looked at the situation and worked carefully to fix the drain problem without replacing the cast iron drain! The bill was roughly $250. Hudson Plumbing also helped us with our home renovations, giving us a fair price and completed the work as scheduled. The last job Hudson Plumbing completed for us was a big one- we were once again renovating a home and we needed to convert a single vanity to a double vanity, plus we had a laundry basin to install (piping had to be changed) and 2 other bathrooms needing work (yes this house was a big one.) Hudson Plumbing did a fantastic job in all regards including the pricing! We HIGHLY Recommend Hudson Plumbing! You can be sure the work will be done right and at a fair price!!

I needed some minor plumbing work done so I could have the city hook up a second water meter for my irrigation system. I scheduled an appointment with Hudson Plumbing and asked if they could provide a "ball park" estimate 2 weeks prior to coming out. They never called me back prior to showing up and did the work while I was at work and my wife was home. They charged $575 for 2 hours worth of work and not even a couple feet of copper pipe. When I got home, I looked at the receipt and it didn't even break down the cost for labor vs. materials. I've called them numerous times requesting the break down of cost and they keep telling me they'll send it, but never do. I've called other local companies and have been told that the cost should have been at least half of what they charged.

I needed a simple "screw fitting" installed on my hot water line shut-off valve in order to install a new dishwasher. I called Hudson Plumbing and told them what I needed and asked about pricing. I was told it was $69 just to come out, but she couldn't tell me anything more. Okay, I get all that. After installing the $2.00 fitting, and being at the house less than an hour (with 20 minutes of that standing around shooting the breeze), he hit me with a $248.00 bill! It seemed he was just making up a price and trying to justify it by saying "well that's what I charge". Really? Over $300 an hour is a bit steep in my opinion, so I would recommend pinning this guy down before he starts racking up the charges. I learned my lesson and won't be calling him back anytime soon, or recommending him to friends.
