Thank you for repairing our problem so quickly with courteous employees and a great price.
Craig and Reicher were very professional, and courteous. They did a great job! Thanks so much! Hooten Plumbing is the only ones we call.
I've used this family owned company many times now and every time Brandon and Jennifer are nothing but polite and pleasant to work with. Brandon is very quick to respond and get me on his schedule. His work is quality and I would recommend them to anyone.
The 5 star reviews must be from friends and family. I called these folks and they said they put me on the schedule for a specific date. I waited that entire day and not so much of a call to say “sorry we can’t make it today” or anything. Wasted a whole day!!
Called them at 930 am they said they would squeeze me into their schudel and would call when they were on the way.8 hours later no call no show.tried to call them and got only an answering machine. This was a friday and their are closed for the weekend. By the way ,I wanted to check for gas leak. They don't care about people's safety.
I may update this review after I hear what the bill is: We'll see. Hooten Plumbing 1908 S US-281 Lampasas was asked to install two 3/4" copper tees but perhaps they don't know how to "sweat copper" or even the code approved easy to use "Push-on tees" like "Sharkbite" fittings which I actually had at home), and we asked for four quarter turn ball cutoff ball valves (valve stem packing on our old ones leaked), four 3/8" flexible risers and two Lifetime guarantee Moen brand kitchen faucets with sprayers for our very very small church. They could not seem to find the main (Most water mains enter near the water heater where they Tee into hot and cold, Ours does that too Our water main cutoff is n the ground near the T&P drain [Temperature Pressure valve drain on a water heater which exits a building as a 3/4" copper pipe] ) They spent almost an entire day, could not figure out how to turn off the water at the main because the "faucet handle was missing" I went to a hardware store bought a $5.00 replacement handle for the main cutoff gate valve (I'm not sure where the original went or who took it [They said they had come out earlier in the day when no one was there to let them in)] nor why it's a gate valve instead of a quarter turn ball cutoff water main valve). I asked to borrow a Phillips screwdriver to attach it with the screw and adapter it came with, the older Plumber said he would do it (he did not, they took the screw and spare adapter parts with them.. and so someone can take the loose handle I bought) After I taught them how to turn the water off,... they did not install the tees nor the quarter turn ball valves we requested under the sink, but some odd globe valves with packing that can leak so if one cutoff needs replacing you must "call a plumber" and replace two cutoff valves of the old type where you turn turn turn turn and hope the rubber washer didn't wear out years ago or the packing didn't start leaking so you'd have to call a plumber to replace it with the new standard quarter turn cutoff valve (which we just did, and why they were there). They did not install Lifetime warranty Moen faucets with free parts for Life which actually use "O-rings" you can buy on Sunday after church in an emergency, at an Auto Parts store but the Delta faucets with NO Warranty (they left no paperwork) which use an old fashioned rubber washer brass ball parts system then plumbers are called to replace or repair frequently and you have to call a plumber or have specialized proprietary parts from a hardware/plumber supply when the brass ball gets groves worn into it or rubber washers need replacing (with proprietary springs under proprietary Delta washers) ike the old fashioned brass seats washer system. They did not leave paperwork for us to register the faucets for any warranty at all (Moen you register online now and get free repair replacement parts for life) The cabinet doors under our sink no longer close due to bent hinges where the plumber pushed down on the open doors to help himself get up off the floor. I guess we need to call a carpenter or cabinet maker to replace bent hinges. We removed the doors temporarily until a solution can be found as I don't think the hinges can be bent back how they belong. To my knowledge, They didn't offer to pay to repair the cabinet doors they damaged Conclusion: Seems like these clowns want you to call them to come out often to repair work they do for "job security" they do not follow instructions and spent half the day smoking cigarettes out in their truck under a shade tree ... I'm sure we'll get a bill at our church for a half a day's work for a job that should have taken an hour or two ... and when they leak, I'm sure they expect us to call them. LOL (I sold plumbing supplies to plumbers and plumbing supply houses and taught plumbers for a living and additionally worked for a Plumbing company in Dallas to better learn the trade.in the 1970s.)
Hooten Plumbing guys are the "A Team." We called the office, scheduled an appointment, they called to inform us that they were on the way (the day of the appointment). A group of guys showed up to work at our home/business, and had planned to stay all day with us, until the job was completed. The guys finished the task quicker than we had thought, and they saw a few more leaky spigots outside of our home, and asked to repair them as well? We immediately said yes! I could never have asked for a better group of guys/repair men/plumbers to help us. They were all knowledgeable about their tasks, and what needed to be completed. Every individual was efficient, and friendly with manners. I will always call Hooten Plumbing for any leaks or plumbing needs that I may have.
I called these folks once and they said they were booked, then I called them later and they said they would put me on the schedule for a specific date. That day came and went absolutely zero contact. No "sorry we can't make it today" or any type of contact. Very poor running of a business. Don't waste your time trying to get these folks to do anything.
I had a little trouble getting them on the phone, they must have been busy. However the work got done fast, the guys were professional and nice. Very reasonable price compared to the other guys I had been using.
This is my go-to company for plumbing troubles. They’ve fixed pretty much everything in my house at least once. Work looks good, workers are trustworthy, scheduling is prompt. I recommend Hooten Plumbing!
They came out and started a job but never finished the job. Hooten came out today and fixed the leak. They did a beautiful job on my shower and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone.
We used Lancaster Plumbing, maybe they used to be Hooten Plumbing.... VERY HIGH prices for a weekend Emergency. My husband helped dig and we still paid $351. for an hour/ one and half hours work.
I had extended freeze pipes coming from my well that had to be rerouted and reglued. Excellent service , the usual 100dollar service fee. I am so grateful.
I am pretty sure they never replied my phone call but any case I was able to get a guy walking down the street to perform the work.
Repair leak in tub faucet. Brandon and Nick did a great job at a reasonable price. Highly recommend Hooten plumbing.
