Home Service Doctors provide outstanding customer service! Sidney Janet also delivered excellent service in response to today’s call regarding my home’s water heater problem. I am grateful he was the technician assigned to address the water heater issue. After completing the repair, he clearly explained the work he performed to ensure the water heater operated correctly. Additionally, he emailed the documents related to the service call, including photos of the water heater and its serial/model numbers. He contacted the manufacturer to document the issue and registered the water heater on my behalf. Truly, he is a Master Technician and a valuable asset to Home Service Doctors! We contacted Home Service Doctors to replace our washer hoses, as one was swollen and close to bursting. We also needed help with a recurring odor from the washing machine. They sent Sidney Janet, and we couldn't have asked for a better plumber. Sidney was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He replaced the old rubber hoses with a durable stainless steel mesh set, recommended a simple cleaner to address the smell, and thoughtfully walked us through other potential issues without pushing unnecessary repairs. His honest and straightforward approach was refreshing. What stood out most was his willingness to answer all our questions, even those unrelated to the problem, with genuine care and patience. Getting an appointment was easy, and the prices were very reasonable! We’re so impressed that we’d gladly work with Sidney and Home Service Doctors again. Thank you.

Cameron from Home Service Doctors came out to analyze and repair my garbage disposal today. He did an excellent job of replacing the disposal and getting the water to drain correctly. Cameron was a true professional…punctual, kind, patient and knowledgeable! We even discovered that he had been a student at my former school. Great to see wolves excelling in a career they love!

A picture speaks thousands of words! DO NOT ever hire this place to do any work and it would be a shame for those of you who are working for this place. The most overrated and sketchy business on earth. I called the Home Service Doctor in for a simple main valve exchange at the price of 1100$ and let alone their claim of “great service does not come cheap”. On the second day, my basement is flooded as in the picture, the water is dripping and spurting all over the place. On a call with their Service manager, the manager uneducatedly said that “No refund. I am not trying to just brush it off. You should file a claim with your home insurance to deal with all the water damage” EXCUSE ME? This is not by accident, and you told me to file with my home insurance to deal with it?? No reimbursement and no nothing. Basically, you are telling me you are not responsible for the work that you have done to flood my whole basement and I have to pay you letting me deal with this. Super unprofessional and unacceptable! In the middle of discussing with my lawyers for the next step and probably also file a tax fraud activity suspects to IRS. Everyone will be blessed in the future if they choose not to come to this place.

I would NOT recommend this to anyone as this vendor is overpriced and add up services which were not needed to begin with. I had a toilet leak and all it needed was “Wax Seal Replacement”. It did not require a new Flange They had me replace the whole toilet purchased by me separately from HomeDepot and Still charged me over $1280. I will definitely not use them again and would not recommend to anybody.

During the holiday season of 2024, we, once again had need for some plumbing help. Again we called the Home Service Doctors and had great success with having our plumbing needs addressed in a timely manner. Given our limited mobility and limited funds, we were truly happy with the service that Sydney, once again provided for us. We will continue to use Sydney as our plumber. He feels more like an old friend that came to help us than just a service tech. I called Home Service Doctors Plumbing again for problems with a different (i.e., Kohler) toilet in our home. I asked for Sidney Janet to be our plumber as he did an excellent job on one of our other toilets. After I called in the late morning, he was here in the early afternoon. Sidney diagnosed the problem quickly, provided me with a price quote and started doing the repair work. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time and at the price quoted. I enjoyed talking with Sydney and learned a lot (i.e., his knowledge of plumbing is great and it is best to let him do the plumbing work for us as it makes me and my wife happy!). I will welcome this gentleman into our home any time. If and when we have additional problems, I plan on called Home Service Doctors and asking for Sydney Janet again! And, on New Years Day 2025, we had another plumbing problem (i.e., the drinking water filter would not seat again properly). I called and the phone was answered and we scheduled an appointment for the next day, 2 January 2025. Again, Sydney came and fixed the problem in under an hour and charged us a reasonable amount for the repair. I feel like Sydney is a friend and continues to be welcome in our home. A week later, our leak returned. I called and Sydney came back and replaced the unit . This was a “warranty call back” so the fee was zero. Great service!

As a homeowner and landlord, Home Service Doctors is hands-down the best repair/maintenance company I’ve ever used across all major service needs - plumbing, electric, or general contracting. We called Home Service Doctors for a second opinion after receiving an absolutely eye-watering estimate for a main-line snaking from another prominent plumbing company in NoVA (rhymes with Shmayco Shmandrade) and finding an online coupon from Home Service Doctors. They sent someone out within hours and after the initial clearance - at a fraction of the price of the other estimate - I got a call from JP, who diligently walked me through what he identified and how to resolve the problem for the long-term. The approach was so honest and detailed that I felt comfortable moving forward with a larger job - also at a fraction of what had been quoted by another company previously. The work was completed in days - over the Christmas holidays! Because I was so satisfied with the quality of the work - and really, JP’s friendly and honest communication - I asked them to come back to give us an estimate on another job. Again, JP made recommendations that saved us money, time, and hassle. He made recommendations for two other companies to do work for us that was beyond the scope of what Home Service Doctors provide. Oh, I forgot to mention - we did all of this from thousands of miles and 6 times zones away. This is a great company with good people. Highly recommend.

Four days after service was scheduled they had not ordered the parts, and the pressure tank was not available. The plumber improvised with a larger tank that did not really fit. They had not ordered the SS tee, which also was not available so they told me it had to be brass- otherwise the water would be off for a week. The UV filter was installed with the electric ballast under the upper pipe. The upper fitting cracked in about a week, dripping water on the ballast which destroyed it (no fire). The fitting was replaced and the new one failed in one day, filling the HVAC room with water again. The plumber had left the water leak detector on top of the water heater, disabling it, so I had no warning until the carpet outside the room soaked through! They have not offered to dry the carpet, and I will have to sue them if it molds. Now I am told they had a defective batch of plastic fittings that are failing all over. While the third fitting is brass and stainless without on site compression to the plastic pipe, the other fitting is still plastic. They will replace the ballast on Monday (depending on how much snow we get). BTW: They do not have emergency service after hours so I had to wait with water off until morning. They refused to honor a $50 off Christmas discount card and their $25 off discount for adding it to my contacts.

Back in October 2020, I had Home Service Doctor come out and install both a hot water heater and HVAC unit in my condo. I was originally only going to have the hot water heater installed, but HVAC told me that they have a deal for both a hot water heater and HVAC installation. Boy was it the worst decision of my life! Last year (June 2023), right in the middle of summer, the compressor on my HVAC unit blew out and completely destroyed the unit. It was barely 2.5 years into the brand new unit and I was still paying off the $9800 for the original installation. I had to pay another $2500 to another company to fix it since Home Service Doctor no longer does "air treatment". What a surprise. The HVAC unit has blew out again, and it will cost me another $5000 to fully replace. I consulted another company and they informed me that the original installation was shoddy and it was what let do my HVAC unit crapping out after less than 4 years. I would stay away from this company at all costs. In my experience, they were taking shortcuts when it came to the installation. I believe they had trained plumbers to install my HVAC unit. I would not trust them with your plumbing needs either. I wish there was a cure for Home Service Doctor's crappy work.

I have had the opportunity to use Home Service Doctors for multiple repairs, including an emergency clog issue that led to flooding the day before Thanksgiving and three toilet replacements (which included one that brought with it multiple challenges). The technician, Greg Smoot, was an absolute pleasure to work with on all repairs! Recently I reached out to Home Service Doctors again, as I am considering moving forward with one of the repairs Mr. Smoot recommended in the fall. The estimates were provided in November, and upon revisiting them, I had a few questions. Not only did he call me back the same day I reached out, but also he patiently answered all the questions I asked and explained the reason for the slight change in pricing. During our conversation, I got interrupted multiple times by my children, and Mr. Smoot was very understanding, even calling me back when I had to abruptly hang up. I wish I could rate Greg Smoot and Home Service Doctors higher than 5 stars! He and the company have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would recommend them for all of your plumbing and HVAC needs!

Excellent communication, prompt service, great work, extremely friendly staff. I have dealt with many plumbers over many years, this is by far the best experience I have ever had. A different plumber came out to look at the leaky basement toilet and said it was old and need to be replaced And gave no further explanation. Home service doctors (HSD) had appointments the following day, The friendly and articulate dispatcher, Jeremy, sent me a picture of the plumber, so I didn’t open the door for the wrong person. The HSD plumber, Cameron, also came to the conclusion the toilet needed to be replaced, but provided pictures and a thorough explanation. I was immediately given quotes for three different repair or replace options. The toilet was replaced the very next day promptly and he cleaned up after himself and did it with a smile. ***Update Oct 2024: Called HSD after a flooring company removed the recently-installed toilet. They sent Sidney Janet the same day I called and he was so polite and professional. Since my parent cannot walk down to the basement, he provided photos and videos. Just amazing service.

I was absolutely blown away by Sydney Janet as the plumber who came to do a plumbing home inspection. I normally find these service experts non engaging, but Sydney was the opposite of them all. First of all, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable of his trade, and the best part was he was interested in educating me on the details, which as an engineer, I absolutely loved and appreciated. At the end of his inspection, he made some recommendations which, given all the insights he had shared earlier, made perfect sense and we went ahead with all his recommendations. I would highly recommend getting Sydney if you want to get a good plumber who can also share really interesting stories :)

Easy to set up appointment next morning for free inspection and estimate. Jeremy, a very well skilled plumber came, checked out the house with all its historic plumbing intricacies of a house from 17th century and basement with unorthodox plumbing through the house. Very reasonable estimate to fix burst basement cold water/hot water pipes and pipes/connections in house bathroom as well after 2 week arctic freeze., no pressure to do work. I said yes and he had all copper parts, pipes and. Connections in his van. Some additional repairs were needed and completed, all with a smile, great explanations and pics…I very much recommend Jeremy and this plumbing service.

Just want to send a shout out to Home Service Doctors (HSD) and Charlie L. for this years bi-annual plumbing inspection. Charlie did an amazing job and he explained everything as we were walking through each part of the inspection. Charlie reported that my plumbing is in great shape, and then made a few recommendation on items to keep an eye on in the future. HSD and Charlie communicated exceptionally well to keep me informed of the appointment and arrival time. Way to go!!! A big thank you to Charlie and HSD! I can't say enough good things about this company and the professionals they hire.

This company is really best of the best they are fast professional and they do their job perfectly so if you really look for plumbing services they are exactly what you looking for. I am million percent recommend this company to anyone look for the best service. Also, Mr. Michael Douglas is truly professional he really fix the problem (water pressure is weak in my home) in no time the least I can say they’re best of the best and that’s why I know that I can depend on them to fix the plumbing issues in my home.
