The Professionals working for the Simpson Family are Fantastic and can do anything in the line of plumbing that you need. From water tank replacement, sump pump service, replacing and/or maintenance in faucets and drains you need to call 770-860-8110 whenever service is required. From N to S and E to W in Georgia High Priority will be the plumber most requested!!
We had Devin Hufstetler come out for our tankless hot water heater and he was excellent. He informed us exactly what was wrong and really helped us. I highly recommend his service!
recently moved from a condo in Downtown to a single-family home in East Atlanta. discovered that we had brown water coming from our hot water faucets, so we reached out to our home warranty providers, who suggested that we use High Priority Plumbing to inspect and possibly replace our hot water heater. HPP did an excellent job from start to finish and made us aware of any outstanding issues with our old water heater and provided great information about replacement options. communication with them was fantastic and we'd definitely use them in the future (even after our home warranty expires!).
Horrible - will try to RIP you off. Do not use. They were recommended through my home warranty company, after coming to the house the plumber they assigned told me that the plumbing under my house was done completely wrong and would need to be redone and brought to code. They were only out for a plumbing leak. I had another plumber come out from Angie's list and was quoted $485 to fix the leak that High Priority Plumbing was recommended for. I will be filing a compliant with the BBB.
The technician misdiagnosed the location of a leak that flooded my basement to my warranty company, causing them to deny coverage. When I discovered the true location of the leak, he refused to admit his mistake even after being shown a picture of it. He was rude and hung up me as I tried to explain this. I had to hire another plumber who came out and easily fixed the issue. I now have to fight for reimbursement from the warranty company. I would never recommend this kind of person to do any work of any kind in a person's home. Update: the comment below is a lie. The technician never came back out to our home to see the leak. Do not use this company.
Regardless of how High Priority tries to justify the reasons to explain their business practice and their behavior, it's not right. The long and short of the matter is they did work on or home because of the money. Initially, they said they did not work on our system. Regardless they continued to send out technicians. Every time a technician responded to our request, we paid them $50.00. I have no idea how much they were paid by HSA. The last time they sent out a technician, late July, who advised he did not work on our system and would transfer the case to their Septic Tank Depart. We were advised by this inexperienced young technician to leave our home because it was a dangerous environment to flush the toilet. My husband was not home, so out of fear I used the neighbor's bathroom. It was in the middle of the day, so I had to wait for my husband to come home. During that time, I felt I was intruding on the neighbors that I started to use the bathroom in a trash can in our home. I found this to be disgusting and humiliating. When my husband came home from work, we still had to use the bathroom in trash cans. While at the same time we were trying to locate a hotel. We stayed at the hotel for four days until we could no longer afford it. We are senior citizens with modest incomes. We had to return home and live in what High Priority said was an unsafe condition. We latter found a company who told us there was nothing wrong with our system. This occurred because of the actions of HSA and High Priority. What is interesting about this scenario is that High Priority initially said they did not work on the system, however in our best interest they would do "something to make it bearable for us." In my opinion they should have denied the work order. Not only should they have denied the work order, but between the time the untrained technician left our home and reported their findings to HSA, we were informed by HSA that High Priority advised our pump was too full of oil and was not covered by our policy because the work was not a matter of ordinary normal wear and tear. As a result of High Priority's findings, our claim was denied. I'm not sure what happened between the time the untrained technician left, and we heard from HSA. High Priority later that same day advised us that they could repair the tank for $4,00.00. Keep in mind they pumped the tank early on, now they're recommending a large sum to pay to work on the system later that same day. We discovered that the work was not justified, nor were they licensed or justified to work on our tank. Recall they were not licensed to work on our system. When talking with other companies in this industry, I discovered this is a normal business practice of High Priority, to advise incorrect findings to warranty companies so the claims would be denied, and they would in turn complete unneeded work because of the fear they instilled in the consumer. What can a consumer do if they are caught between to big companies. HSA's online information says it is a large company with assets over $377 million dollars, have several affiliates and located in over 45 states. I filed a complaint with the BBB; however, I did not respond in the allotted 7 day for personal reasons. High Priority's response was filed on July 28, not counting the weekends, my response was filed on time. However, I could not allow this business practice and information be left untold. If you look at their responses to complaints on their website you will note identical comments, (1) They can't find a history of the customer's file, or (2), they transfer the blame to the Warranty company, stating it was not their responsibility for the decisions of the warranty company. However, the same situation and answers occur too frequently. We as consumers can't all be insane. But the same situation occurs with other consumers as the one we endeared. Keep in mind these are my opinions and not those of others. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!
The tech that was sent out to my house was knowledgeable and did not give up until the issue was resolved. But unfortunately, he caused more damage while trying to fix the problem. In the notes for my service, he stated that I had preexisting damage from the issue they were contacted about. Yet, what was already there when he arrived happened in 2019. I have a crack in my master bathroom tub from 2019 that caused damage in the right corner of the ceiling in my laundry room, that had NOTHING to do with the reason American Home Shield contacted High Priority Plumbing. I had a clog in my master bathroom that I had personally tried to plunge and get unstuck before even contacting them. The tech tried for a while and was unsuccessful, so he requested to pull the toilet and use the auger directly into the plumbing to try and break up the clog. Attaching pictures and video to show proof. In the video you can hear him very aggressively banging in the bathroom above my laundry room. While he was doing this something happened and water began leaking through the light in my laundry room and immediately started creating a brown stain IN A DIFFERENT SPOT in the ceiling of my laundry room, that tripled in size. As soon as we noticed there was water coming through the light, I went upstairs to tell him that every time he would put more force behind the auger, more water would come through the ceiling. He refused to stop, until he was ready. When I was contacted for a follow-up I informed the receptionist that there were damages caused, and I requested contact with someone higher in the company to get this solved. Almost a MONTH later I receive a call from a man, who did not give his name but stated that he was the owner and there was "no one" above him. Ultimately, he told me they were not responsible for the damage the technician caused because I had preexisting damage! It is clearly two separate spots that have damage, and the coloration is different as well. He was extremely rude and was making nothing but excuses for what happened. The technician should have taken responsibility for what happened. I have four witnesses to this event, so I surely hope the company does what is in their best interest and fix this.
If 0 was an option, I'd give it. I should have obviously read these reviews before retaining this company. AHS refers this company and I've alerted them as well. Even if you need an emergency repair, just request another company as this one will likely result in regrets. I allowed these people into my home for an emergency water heater repair and thought I wanted a master plumber, but was assigned a technician. Initially I believed the assigned plumber was kind so he gained my trust. I should have known better. We made multiple mistakes that would be fine with honest brokers, but not so good when dealing with dishonest people. First, my husband and I work from home so we each dealt with them at different times during the appt while the other was in meetings. In doing so, we later learned there were some things they told me they had walked through in detail with my husband but I later learned they had not talked through those items with my husband. Second, they ask you to sign agreements by handing you their phones where you can't really read the documents. That's my mistake. Even though we needed the water heater repaired quickly I should have required them to email the document. Learn from my trusting mistake. These people were dishonest and now we are paying for it. They essentially changed the installation method/location and did not place our water heater back on the stand. They never spoke with us about this in advance. When my husband inspected the work, the tech lied and said it was a code issue. He then backtracked and said they had heard stands sometimes break. It's a moot point. If you are going to change something like that in my home, we should talk about it. I don't trust they will do what is right as this seems to be the way the company operates. In addition, the dispatch operators have the worst demeanor of any I've dealt with. Curt, rude and condescending. They never approached us with a customer service attitude. We should have known then that the technicians might not be much better.
Update as of 4-Jun-2019 Paulette and Caitlyn at HP both reached out to me today and confirmed that my email had been caught up in their archives. I've bumped up this review from a 1 star to 3 stars based on their customer service with a follow up on the issue. Caitlyn reviewed the service call and diagnosis, along side my response and has opened up a communication line with the technician to understand how he missed the root cause. Original Review: Unfortunately I had a bad experience with High Priority Plumbing. Old Republic Home Warranty assigned HP for a Service Call as my Kitchen Sinks / Dishwasher would not drain and the down pipe from the sink leaked into the cabinet. The technician diagnosed the issue as a result of the backgrade of the waste pipe and confirmed no blockage. As it was deemed an installation issue, ORHW would not cover the fix. HP quoted me $900-$1200 to replace the pipe as he said the 'bow' from the backgrade would continue to cause a problem. A local plumber came to review the issue for a second opinion, he tracked the issue to the point that the waste pipe joined the main waste line, he removed the join and the pipe was blocked thick with grout and tile washed down the sink from renovations (HP claimed no blockage). He removed the blockage and supported the waste pipe to remove the backgrade. He also identified that the pipe did not have a vent and included this as well as adding a seal at the downpipe from the sink (the reason I had a leak when the sink was holding water). The fix cost me $240. HP's diagnosis was incorrect and could have cost me a lot of money for a fix that did not resolve the root cause. HP also did not identify that the existing vent from an old system was not attached and did not identify that the down pipe from the sink was missing a seal resulting in the leak. I was holding off from a review as I was waiting for a response to an email I had sent to HP on the 20th May 2019, I didn't hear back. *see revised note above.
I had this company come out with my home warranty, AHS. I had an inspector report a leak under the kitchen sink and also I needed a vent trap installed. The guy came out, I told him I had run the water in the sink and couldn't reproduce the leak, he said "there is no leak here". Did not run the water. I took him at his word because I am not a plumber. He then inspected for the trap (even went into the crawlspace) and told me he would contact me with an estimate, that since there was no trap AHS would not pay, the estimate was somewhere between 225 and 425.00. I paid my 100.00 service charge to AHS. No call back, 4 days later I call a plumbing company I have relied on for years for my personal home and 4 rental properties, Michaels Plumbing, guy comes out to give me an estimate to install a trap under the kitchen sink. Lo and Behold, we already have a trap installed in the crawlspace - he took pictures of it and showed it to me. How did Priority Plumbing miss that ? I asked him to double check the leak under the sink - he runs the water in both sides and there is the leak, needed a washer, fixed in 3 min. I paid him 125.00 for his time. I would have had to pay him a trip charge anyway. Why would I pay him the 70.00 trip charge and then call AHS to send another company out to fix the leak ? I do not have even 1.00 to spare, much less 100.00 Called priority plumbing and told them their plumber misdiagnosed the problem under the sink - they will not refund the AHS service charge. I call AHS to see if I can get the 100.00 service charge, they will not. They told me I should have switched vendors. WHAT ? do not use this company. I told AHS to take high priority plumbing off the list for any of my service calls. As a former business owner this is no way to do business. ****since posting this review on Yelp I received a call from the marketing manager of High Priority Plumbing. She was very sincere, apologetic, and refunded the 100.00 charge.*********
AVOID - AVOID - AVOID Winner of the WORST contractor AWARD! High Priority Plumbing (HPP) is THE WORST kind of contractor....the kind that warranties their work but FAILS to correct, MISLEADS their customers so they can EVADE taking responsibility for their IMPROPER work. HPP guaranteed their work on my home for 5 years but it's WORTHLESS... they don't honor it. HPP and their subcontractor, Floodmasters strung me along misleading me that they were going to repair my home outside of their insurance. But then they always came up with excuses and ultimately blamed everything other than their incompetent work, cause of the damages so they could avoid paying. In order to save my home, I filed with my homeowners. After, my insurance sued HPP to recover $$$$ and it took 3 YEARS to get them / their insurance to pay! Unless you have a tenacious insurance company to take bad contractor to court, injured homeowners have to pay legal fees, beyond their property loss to sue egregious plumbers like HPP, which are not reimbursed even if you win in GA! In many settled cases, the plaintiffs are muzzled so the public doesn't know the real damages the contractors caused. So who knows really how many homes High Priority Plumbing messed up! Amazing abysmal HPP is still in business... AHS probably gives them most of their work. I still have a 5 digit$ loss (aka a car), that was outside of my insurance coverage. Beyond damages to my home and property loss, emotional trauma, risks to my health and potential loss of my biggest investment were very stressful! Whoever owns High Priority Plumbing, their mama didn't raise them right. Learn from my experience and help yourselves. IF I can save another homeowner from this DESPICABLE, CRUEL, NEFARIOUS contractor, High Priority Plumbing, I've done another human, service! HPP has a special reservation in HELL.
High Priority Plumbing was sent out to our house as part of our home warranty contract with AHS. The problem was not covered by the warranty so the company gave us a quote for them to make the repair (a leaking water main line between the street and the house). This was for an ACTIVE leak to the house that had caused our water bill to be almost $700. The tech said they could make the repair ASAP, he quoted us a reasonable price, and they even had a coupon for this exact type of work on their website. My husband and I then spent the next TWO WEEKS calling the company every single day trying to schedule them to come out to make the repair. Every day they gave us the runaround and promised to call us back to schedule. We never once received a return call (it has now been over 3 weeks). The last time I called them the lady said they weren't sure if they could even do this type of work. If that is the case, WHY did they give us a quote for it, WHY is there a coupon for this type of work on their website, and WHY didn't they tell us this immediately rather than over TWO WEEKS after they gave us the quote, during which time we have an ongoing active leak costing us money and causing secondary damage? The people I spoke with on the phone (daily) were very nice, but this type of customer service is absolutely absurd. We never once got a phone call from them. We called them every single day trying to schedule this work, and I'm not talking about a small repair, this was going to cost us almost $2000, you would think they would want our business. Apparently not. I will never ever do business with High Priority again. I have made American Home Shield aware of the problem and asked them to drop them from their list of vendors. The complete lack of professionalism is astounding.
I recently used High Priority based on my insurance company's recommendation and the service was inadequate. When the technician saw the missing stopper, he asked if I had ever had one. I stated yes and that the stopper broke off from the plumbing and I threw it away. I was not able to use the insurance due to the technician indicating that I had a missing stopper top. When I tried to understand why my missing stopper would hinder the process of repairing the stopper, he instantly indicated that I could pay $167.00 with his company to resolve the issue. He also indicated that the stopper was in the state of disrepair, but refused to replace due to the missing stopper top. Even when I showed him a new stopper top I bought, he refused to honor my insurance warranty. When I spoke to Home Shield, they indicated that the technician stated that my plumbing issue was not due to normal wear and tear. He never mentioned the missing part. It is clear that the technician would have received both the trip fee from Home Shield and the $167.00 I would have had to pay the company to fix the issue and therefore, he attempted to receive both. When I contacted the business manager at the establishment, she indicated that the insurance companies put in information that they want. When I ask how the technician gave the information, she stated that he verbalized it to them and not through written documentation. She also stated that she stood by the technician although she didn't have actual proof of what he stated to the company. Clearly, don't do business with this company if you are working with an insurance company. They will attempt to get money from both the insurance company and the insurer.
I was assigned to High Priority by my Home Warranty company (AHS). They scheduled me extremely quickly and sent out a very personable technician to work on three running toilets and a dripping bathroom faucet. I can't think of that technicians name to save my life, but he was friendly. He "fixed" the toilets, even replaced a bad handle as well. He changed out something in the sink to "stop" the leak, I signed my papers, paid my warranty fee and he left. Well bad news...... The drip in my sink was now a full fledge run and my toilets were running worse than they where before. So yes on one hand he was personable and friendly, but on the other hand he did awful work. So I ended up having to actually turn the water off under the sink and to the toilets to stop the run. I called High Priority and they told me to call AHS to send them out again. So I did. They sent Donny today. He discovered my toilet issues and fixed them, but unfortunately when I turned the sink water back on from underneath it refused to leak! REFUSED!!! DAGGUMIT!!!! So we waited and waited... NOTHING! Donny completed my paperwork and left. So.....just as you guessed it 15 minutes after he left, there goes the durn sink. I call High Priority and the rep immediately calls Donny for me. He returns after his current customer and fixes me up. So far so good!!!! If I don't come back for another review-I'm still in good shape, just know that Donnie and the customer service reps provided me with great service. They really saved what was originally a one star due to bad work. Wow, I had a lot to say.
Wished to rate this company in negative numbers however a 1 is the lowest possible rating. We had a issue with water backing up in a toilet from the washing machine that was next to the laundry room. Also the actual drain for the washer was also clogged and we were draining the washer through the Mud Sink. We already had a plumber snake the line and he said we need to have someone run a camera through the line. High Priority came out and the tech ran the camera through the line and charge over 600 dollars the result was the tech said we had a problem under the house because of corrosion in our Iron Pipes. He then quoted me 4500 dollars to replace the Iron Pipes which did not include clearing the Washing Machine drain line. A friend suggested we call some one that they knew to makes sure this was a problem. He came out Quoted 1800 dollars to include all repairs. When he started the job he first replaced the drain line for the Washer then went under the house. He then found me and told me the problem with the drain line was not iron pipes since it was all PVC under the house and the problem occurred when a new HVAC unit was put under the house and the tech from that had disconnected the hangers on the pipes and the box was sitting on it which caused a low spot in the drain and this was causing the back up. He ended up charging me 500 dollars less than his original quote. The High Priority tech never went under the house and looked at the drain lines. Would not use them nor would I recommend them to anyone.
