Busted sewage drain pipe had a back up leaking into my garage...David came and inspected it and replaced drain pipe and clean out! I thought it would be a disaster...but it was very smooth, and completed in a few hours! Excellent work, thank you David!

We had a tub faucet that wouldn’t turn off. Friendly Plumbers came in and fixed it that evening. Price was high but they were the only ones to come and help after regular 9-5 work hours. Worth it for the friendly and fast service. Thanks for your help! I will call again next time.

While most plumbers schedule a week out I scheduled last night and just had them finish up before 10am next day. They were professional and fixed it perfectly. They kept me informed the whole time and were reasonable considering the speed and care of service. Thanks!

This company charged $1800 for a clean out; was supposed to snake and clear the clogged pipes. Called, texted to come and check while the contractor was in our home as the pipes were supposed to be cleared not just on the other side of home. Plumber never came back. Unreliable, unresponsive.

On 7/14, as advised by Best Buy installer, I hired Friendly Plumbing Alex Longoria to replace old drip pan (underneath washing machine) with new which I bought from HD. At first he wanted $650 then come down to $200. When done, I pointed out that the drain fitting is not flat to the floor and he did not seal round the drain hole beneath the drip pan neither like the old drip pan did. In the event the drip pan cracks, the leak would damage the subfloor. With pan not fitting flat to floor and no silicone seal around the drip hole underneath the drip pan are two concerns I have. Alex understands my concerns. For $200 professional plumber job, I expect job done right and if leaks do occur, I will hold Friendly Plumbing responsible.

friendly plumbing inc Important Warning: This company is not licensed, and the owner, Ahmad Belal Mayr, is allegedly operating under someone else's license. I recently had my gas service shut off for fumigation. When PG&E came to restore the gas, they flagged my system for hazardous installation due to carbon monoxide leakage into my home--a serious and potentially fatal issue. Despite the clear danger, this company refused to fix their faulty installation, and I was forced to hire another plumber at my own expense. During this ordeal, I was left without hot water over Christmas and had to rent a hotel because they wouldn't take responsibility. Even after showing the owner photos of the installation and referencing the manufacturer's instructions, he denied any wrongdoing. I also suspect they lack valid insurance. They provided me with a falsified insurance certificate from a company called Kiss Insurance in San Jose. When I contacted Kiss, they could not verify any policy for Friendly Plumbing. This company has reportedly been involved in multiple lawsuits in the past two months. They have a terrible track record, with repeated license terminations by the California State Licensing Board (CSLB). Please be cautious--this company not only provides poor, potentially dangerous workmanship but also shows no accountability. If you're skeptical, I urge you to check their licensing status yourself on the CSLB website and hit liscense check. i got all the recipts to back this up.

Whatever is the issue in our bathroom is still not fixed and we already paid $1500+. Alex was not clear in his communication on what he was doing and what services were being done. We contacted Friendly Plumbing previously to clean the clogged drain and was not resolved and quoted $1900 just to dig to try and find what the issue was since the snake and camera could not find the issue. We found a leak in the pipe in the foundation below the house and was quoted to fix the pipe and the clog issue was not addressed. When Alex finished with pipe replacements, he went to test the drain in the shower and toilet and was working temporarily but within the hour the clog had gotten worse and the toilet and bath tub drain were clogged and no longer able to be used at all. I sent pictures and videos and he spoke to me and told me that it wasn't part of the quote and he wasn't going to or Intended to fix the main issue we contacted them regarding and quoted another $1900. We have used another plumbing service and they said they charge half the cost normally to replace leaking pipes and they suggested that we reroute the pipes since the pipes were old and clearing them would only temporally fix the issue and likely occur again. Will never use them again. I messaged the owner on Yelp and he never responded or got back to me. Absolutely terrible service and overcharged!

EBMUD came out to investigate a leak on my water main at my request. Turns out it's on my side of the meter and is up to me to get fixed. Th EBMUD tech says he'd consider this an emergency repair and to get it done that day. I bid the job out with multiple companies via Yelp, and these folks were the second company on scene - but the last company that I called to come out and provide a quote, so they actually responded the quickest! The first company wanted $350 just to dig a small hole (5 minutes) to see what kind of pipe it was under the grass so they could give me an accurate bid - and thought the repair would be $950 or more - I told them to get lost. Friendly plumbing came out and quoted me $450-650 depending on the type of pipe, but capped it at $650. Once he discovered the type of pipe, we settled at $500. He fixed the issue (from his arrival to departure) in less than 1 hr and 20 minutes, so I wouldn't say it was cheap given the material costs were likely just a few bucks - but I really can't complain given it was emergency service, he stayed within the agreed upon upfront rate and implemented what appears to be an acceptable fix. Assuming there are no issues with the repair (I'll update this review if a problem arises) - I'd absolutely recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. Hope this helps!

UNETHICAL Practices. Don't contact them. Friendly Plumbing was assigned to us by Liberty Home Warranty for a leaking toilet pipe. We knew where the leak was and which pipe was leaking since we had already taken a quote from another company and they had to open the walls to check. They didn't charge us for diagnosis and leak detection since it was quite straight forward. But we decided to go with the warranty company since we felt it will be safer. Big mistake. Ahmad who seems to be the manager asked me to send the pictures of the open walls and pipe which I sent (Picture attached). Then the plumber from Friendly Plumbing arrived a couple of days later and saw the leak with a flash light and left in 5 minutes. For his 5 minutes visit, Friendly Plumbing sent two invoices to the warranty company totaling $450. They stated diagnosis ($100) and leak detection ($350). Now they have quoted $900 to repair the leaking pipe. And I have to pay extra to get the walls fixed. When I called questioning these invoices and unreasonable amounts, Ahmad's response was - "this is how we work (and tried to justify the 5 minutes visit with BS) and told me to contact the warranty company". Stay away from these unethical people who will rob you. Our claim is still open after almost 4 weeks.

I have water leaking from upstairs. Alex came on time, friendly and correctly diagnosed the problem. It turned out to be not related to the water pipe but due to water leaking from the shower to outside area and drips downstairs. Alex did many testings, back & forth, spending in total 1.5h on the diagnosis. He charged me $350 for the diagnosis which I think is too high considering he refused to seal my shower door to stop water from leaking in the first place but instead wanted to refer his friend. I feel this should be covered under his works as they list Bathtub & Shower repair as one of the services and from what I see is a relatively minor sealing job that would temporarily stop the problem. Also the price was not communicated in advance. He came as part of my scheduling for a "Free Estimate" as per their website. I didn't expect the work to be free (as he did spend 1.5h) but $350 just for the diagnosis is too high and when he left me with some small tasks (under their area) that I either have to do myself or hire another person again. Overall I'm happy that he was able to diagnose the problem without having to remove big part of the ceiling or walls. But taking stars for the price and the reluctance to do the necessary fix.

I had four different plumbers come out and tell me different things about why my garage laundry drain was leaking through the concrete slabs below my walls. I had Manuel come by after a bunch of ridiculous quotes and bids for demolition to replace a 2 inch drain that runs between my garage and living room wall. He properly diagnosed the issue being a clogged drain from the kitchen line that was causing the laundry drain to back up and leak. He gave me a great estimate and timeframe and began work the day of. The other services from Yelp had quoted me multiple day jobs scheduled for days out for emergency service. Friendly plumbing fixed my problem and stuck around for another hour afterwards to make sure that the drains were freed up. They snaked the drains to be sure and ran hot water through the lines and did a final inspection below the crawl space to verify that the leak was fixed. The competing services all assumed I had a clogged laundry drain and wanted to tear my house down to get to a drain that was encased in cement. Friendly plumbing saved me time and a couple thousands dollars with the correct diagnosis.

I was remodeling my shower/tub. I had my own hardware so online it says $200.00 for instal if you have your own. I booked it, Barrett came out. I explained that I needed everything done to install the new one except for the knobs as they would be in the way to install new walls. I should have known something was "amiss" when he joked about me paying $375.00. I told him no, its 200 if I have my own hardware(says it on the website). I did the remodel and when I put the screws in the knobs it did not work like he said it would. The hot just ran water when I triied to screw it in. And the cold water that he screwed in to show me how was very loose even when tightened. I stopped before I did something wrong. I messaged, no answer, I called and the person told me they would charge me more and Barrett would call with the estimate. No call. Had to hire another plumber to come out and fix it. In the end, Barrett put the hot knob on the cold stem and the stem in the hot was broken inside. Now, I labeled the knob he installed so I know I did not switch them. Still no call, no nothing. They should refund my money.

Disappointing Experience with Friendly Plumbing I recently (June) hired Friendly Plumbing for a plumbing issue, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. First, they arrived 3 people without any communication, which was frustrating. Once they start the service, they were all over the place it felt like they rushed through the job. The plumber was inexperienced and didn't take the time to explain properly and told us we have to spend 8K to fix the drain, they were unable figure out what the problem was or how they would fix it. After they left, the issue wasn't resolved, and told us call HOA company to where are the drainpipes are. they charged me over $500, since that I been trying to reach out to them only Qais pick up the phone and he always have same answer, I will give message to Amar, Amar never call me and or responded to my emails. I expected professionalism and quality work, but unfortunately, I received the opposite. I would not recommend this Plumbing Service to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services

After two 24-hour, emergency plumbers backed out of their commitments, we called Friendly Plumber who put us in contact with Silverio. Silverio was in Hayward and our clogged toilet was in San Francisco. Having waited two hours for two plumbers who didn't come, it was 10:00 pm and Silverio said it would take him 45 minutes to get to us. While we were not optimistic, Silverio showed up as promised and was ready to work. He and his son quickly diagnosed the location of the clog by running water in our house and surveying the plumbing network in our basement. Silverio told us he would need to use a powerful "snake" tool to reach the clog. I asked if he was confident that that would fix our problem and he responded that if it didn't, we did not have to pay him. Not only is that confidence, but it does not get fairer than that! Twenty minutes later the clog was cleared and Silverio and his son cleaned up and were gone. True 24-hour emergency plumbers!

Our drain picked the perfect time to get clogged (on Christmas day!). Flushing the toilet was causing the water to back up into the bath tub. Reached out to Ahmad and he responded quickly with availability on the same day. Silverio from Friendly Plumbing showed up quickly within the next 2 hours. He drove all the way from Hayward to San Jose (~35 miles). As soon as he arrived, he assessed the situation and gave us a quote which sounded reasonable. Our house did not have the sewer cleanout accessible, so he had to remove the toilet and use the snake to try and unclog the drain. When even that didnt work, he suggested using the hydro jet from the roof vent. That finally did the trick. He then made sure to verify the fix by passing the camera into the vent. He was very professional and didnt take any shortcuts. Highly recommend this business. Especially in case of emergencies.
