Needed a water heater repair work done. Called Harms Services on a Wednesday and was able to get a technician out the next day in the morning. The technician’s name was Jacob, and he was very friendly, courteous and finished the job quickly. He also shared insights on the repair and how it likely happens. I would recommend Harms Services if any plumbing work is needed.
Jacob arrived 15 minutes after our request for services. He immediately understood the problem and what the repair would entail. He quoted us a reasonable price and the work was completed within 2 hours.
Jacob, my technician, was on time for the appointment, and met me with a smile, a handshake and introduction. I like that! I showed him the plumbing issue, and he immediately assessed the situation and discussed it with me... in language that a person, NOT in the plumbing business, can understand. He was courteous, professional, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. It has been a long time since I have had a plumbing contractor get above average marks on all of the above!! However Jacob... AND the office representative, Renee (sp?) were exemplary! I am extremely pleased with the service. The visit today was an 'estimate price' for potential plumbing work, and based on the service I have received thus far, I expect that I will hire them to do the job. I am confident that the quality of the work will be consistent with everything I have experienced.
Needed two long leaking hose bibs replaced. Called on Monday and someone came the next day to evaluate the job. We agreed on the price and he was able to do the work the same day. I was kept informed every step of the way and the technician was neat and communicative. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Update: James, the plumber working on our home, said that the pipe to one hose bib had been repaired before and had 2 couplers installed during those fixes. He said that wasn't good and was going to cut those out and replace the full length (7-8") of copper pipe. Turns out he did not do that and hours after his added repair, one of those couplings started to leak and spray water in our wall - ended up with soaked sheetrock, insulation and carpeting. Had to turn the water off to the house until they could come out the next morning and fix. THEN James replaced the full length of copper and didn't seem to even remember he said he was going to do that originally. Now this area smells musty and I worry about mold. So -- the fix was done quickly but should never have been needed and I may have mold growing in my wall/carpet and paid full price for the work. Had to turn a 5 star review to a 2 star.
The quality of the workmanship is fine if you don't mind paying 4 times the going rate for labor. The owner told me he uses "task" rate meaning if your tech takes 2 hours to install the water softener on an existing loop, but the "book" says the "task" takes on average 8 hours you pay as if he was there and working for 8 hours. "Task" rate ended up costing me an extra $2000 for labor to replace an existing water heater and water softener.
This remodel revealed a number of significant plumbing issues previously unknown or unrecognized. Multiple solution options were discussed, most of which would not have provided the best results. The tub we purchased would not work due to the situation and Eric stepped up and used his contacts to obtain an appropriate replacement tub. He and his crew of excellent plumbers got the job done in excellent time so that we can continue with the remodel with minimal time lost. I have great respect for the professionalism, integrity and technical skills displayed, as well as the friendly manner the services were provided. I would happily recommend Harms Services to anyone looking for quality plumbing services. Bathroom remodel #2 today starting out much better but again with issues. Jeremy addressed those issues and finished the updated goal for the day in good time. He and all of the Harms team have been a blessing.
So far, so good. Excellent response to an emergency situation. Isolated leaking supply lines to restore at least partial service to home. Working now to provide estimates and schedule for necessary work. Everyone we’ve worked with so far has been excellent. Will update this review when work is completed. Update…All work was just completed. Everything again works as it should and the debris cleaned up. Evan was great at explaining as he went along and making sure I was happy with the process. Very pleased that we called Harms for our repair. We will be continuing as customers with harms.
We used Harms Services Plumbing to complete our hot water reroute today, and as usual they did a very professional job, including protecting our spaces from damage during the work to cleaning up afterward. We have asked them for quotes for additional work as they are our certainly our preferred plumbing company for all size jobs now. We are using Harms to replace our water softner, add a conditioner and planning for another plumbing re-route. As usual, they are our choice for our plumbing needs.
Jose & Daniel impressed us as soon as they got out of the truck! They were so professional & knowledgeable. The one thing that I really admired was the respect they had for each other. Daniel mentioned he has 40 years experience & it seemed to us that Jose has a number of years experience himself however they both had their professional advice for us & they each respectfully listened to each other. This to us is the teamwork that “Harms” should be proud of. I look forward to our step 2.
Excellent communication and service. My sewar backup had multiple complications along the way to repair, but Jeremy very calmly and with great expertise got it done ! I was constantly updated with the status of the job and very pleased with the fairness of pricing from the intial visit to completion. I will recommend Harms to all my Sedona friends and look forward to dealing with them in the future. They do it right and they do it with a smile :)
I called Harms Services on Wednesday to ask for assistance with our R/O system. Candace was very professional and very helpful. They were able to schedule me the next day and Evan completed the job on Thursday. Evan was professional, easy to work with and explained what he was doing very well. Very satisfied with Harms Services. We will use them again. Thank you
Inspection services for a new (to me) home purchase in Verde Valley. Jason and Eric were awesome! They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I received itemized estimates and now I just have to prioritize the work I want done. I highly recommend you give them a call!
I called with a leak in our copper pipe of the water heater. Thankfully Harms could do a service call same day. Our Specialist Jacob was knowledgeable and was professional. We look forward to not having trouble with the repair, and am positive it will be taken care if we do. Thank you Harms Services
Called Harms about an outdoor buried water line leak at 11 AM on a Friday. They happened to have service tech James in the neighborhood, hed done work for us before. He arrived by 1, repaired the leak do we would have whole house water for the weekend. Fabulous job by Harms and James. Great people
Jacob arrived on time and was professional, explained what needed fixing, and charged $100 less than another plumbing company that would have repaied parts in my toilet tank that I didn't need. I will definitely call Harms again, if a problem arises in my other two toilets.
