Bruce did a great job today. He explained everything he did and cleaned up after him self. Great job Bruce.

So appreciative of Bruce coming out on a Friday evening emergency my husband and I had with a sewer backup. He detected the cause found a solution and got the job completed! Highly recommend Hansen Heating and Plumbing.

These guys made it out to me during the busy holiday season to fix a bad clog in my pipes from my kitchen. Bruce was very nice, professional and straight to the point. Great service and would use them again.

Very poor installation and service on our water heaters. They replaced a Bradford White water heater in our house 3 times over 6 years, and each one failed. When I talked with the manufacturer of the water heater, they said Hansen was not installing them correctly. Shane was very rude when I asked him about the different rods for hot and cold needed per the manufacturer. They installed the exhaust without an incline and water built up causing $600 in repairs.

I had used AM at my other home with no problems so when I moved to a newly constructed 2 bedroom 1 bath fully carpeted basement apartment in my son's home I called them about the possibility of a dehumidifier on the brand new furnace. They assigned Rep 1 and after blowing me off twice without calls or explanations and when came out and then lied to me about why he didn't show. I knew this because the receptionist I spoke to about the missed appointment told me he was off a few days after the 4th of Jul. We discussed the dehumidifier, but he suggested closing up the screens on both furnaces, my son's and mine, and routing a hallway cold air return into another duct. He said if that doesn't help we can still put in the dehumidifier. The furnace was installed in May, I moved in in June and he had come in July. I changed the furnace filter at the beginning of Aug and it was brown with dust. It is now Nov 2 and when I looked at the filters my son's is like new, no dust, and mine is almost the same. If I had not changed my filter at my old house the furnace would have shut off from a clogged filter. I called AM to have someone come out to see about why. I told the receptionist I wasn't happy. She had Rep 1 call me again, and he BSd me again telling me it's common for a house to have no dust in the filter. At this time I told him to get the receptionist, that I wanted to have someone else come out, but him. Rep 2 just left after inspection of the furnace totally supported Rep 1s story. Again he told me that there was airflow and dust on the fan, which in my estimation could have been there from May-Aug but there is no way to prove that. There was dust on the filter in July before the work was done from the previous 2 months. After that there was no dust on the filter. All I know is that we have 2 homes, up and down. There is brand new plush carpeting downstairs so there is lots off fiber and lint. There are kids, and dogs so there is dander and dust and there are adults at home all day long so there is constant movement; but there is no dust on the filters. I have dust everywhere else, but not on the furnace filters. My furnace fan runs all day long 30 minutes out of every hour, set on my NEST thermostat, as does my son's. There is continuous circulation so there should have been a lot of dust in those filters over 3 months' time. There is not. I would not recommend Air Management to anyone. If I could rate them as 0 I would. They didn't call before they blew off my appointment, they lied. I paid $450.00 for work that I do not feel in any shape or form improved airflow and no house is so clean that a filter will stay clean for 3 months.

Completely lazy customer service, with mixed/improper expectations. Called for 3 days, each day told would be serviced later that day. Each day, no call, no show. Excuses each time pointing to bad to be management and disorganization. On the 4th day (today) , was told someone came out the prior evening but no one was home. I was home all day/evening and was awaiting the pre-call that I was told repeatedly that I'd receive, so I wasn't sitting by my door waiting for someone to knock. When I explained I got no call, they read back the phone number they had, which I had repeated every time I called, and the last 4 digits were swapped. The rep just said, "Oops, that's the problem then." Yeah, no one read call my number to confirm and recommended they start doing that after the rep gave another excuse of "receiving so many calls to their office." When I asked to get priorized today as my young child would be coming over for the weekend today and was told they could "try, but..." and when I explained this has become ridiculous they defaulted back to saying "no one was home last time we tried" and I referred back to THEIR expectations set that they would call when ON THEIR WAY, then why still show up when no one answered because they called the wrong number? The rep got incredibly irate and aggressive and I asked if I should call another company since they can't seem to keep up/adhere to expectations, to which she yelled "yes, I think you should" be hung up. I know this is the hot season and it's busy, so give proper expectations, confirm you have correct contact information, keep your customers updated and for God's sake, take accountability and hold your temper... Unprofessional, unreliable, incredibly unpleasant company to interact with.

It's great to know that there are good, trustworthy companies available. My wife and I went from a horrible experience Wednesday when our combination alarms went off & would not stop after replacing the batteries, to a wonderful Saturday. Fire department came out Wednesday, called Nicor and they both tested our house after having us evacuate. They both found low levels of CO & the Nicor tech found our gas system had a slow leak. Our regular plumber came & didn't have any test equipment to find the leaks. We called Hansen Heating & Plumbing and they came out the next day & found 7 leaks! A crew of 3 arrived Saturday morning and not only fixed the 7 leaks, they found two more for a total of 9! Each crew member was friendly, competent and thorough right down to sweeping the garage floor after completion. We are very thankful & will recommend Hansen Heating & Plumbing to our entire neighborhood & anyone else who requires excellent heating, air conditioning or plumbing service.

DO NOT CALL AIR MAN- THEY WILL ROB YOU!!! I had an issue with my inducer motor in my furnace- I called Air Man out TO FIX PROBLEM. Even told them the exact part (inducer fan) that needed to be fixed or replaced. Not to just service my furnace and run a bunch of pointless tests take my money and leave, which is all they did. They lied to me and said anything can be wrong with an inducer fan so they don't know where to look on it to fix it (so they also suck at their jobs). Recently I learned when the inducer fan goes it just goes, the bearings go and it needs to be replaced. So they took around 300 dollars from me and my heat still shuts off a year later.

Bruce came to clean the pilot light on our water heater, but also gave us extremely helpful information about why our light was going out. Then, when our heater went out, on a Sunday no less, Hansen was our first call and they were incredible about providing information up front about the increased cost of coming out on a Sunday as opposed to ensuring we get an appointment the next day. Eric problem solved our issue and was transparent about the cost of a same day part, as opposed to waiting the next day, and followed through on getting our heater fixed the next day. You can trust them on their word to do right by you. They will always be my first call!

Horrible business. Expensive and don't back their own work. Had a backup and they were supposed to address the issues permanently. The exact issue happened again about 40 days later and they told us they only warranty their work for 30 days. A waste $715. The gentlemen on the phone was also rude and impatient when we called back. The techs were not through, skilled, and definitely not professional. Even paid extra for the useless inspection camera and they were unable to locate the clog or issue. Hansen should be ashamed of themselves. Don't spend your hard earned money on this company. Plenty of decent plumbers out there.

01/17/2025 Here we are again needing Hansen. Thermostat was giving readings that the temperature has slowly been dropping last couple hrs. Got to 63 so we call that next day and had them here earlier than expected. Dx the problem cleaned out some areas and we are good to go. They were patiently waiting on hold to work with my home warranty to get approval and then they were on their way. Note to all…. When ppl tell you to close vents so heat or air goes higher faster DON’T it ruins your unit. Thank you Hansen/ Bruce Adam & Tammy Stroh

The Hansen technician, Bruce, called ahead and arrived on time to replace old water heater. They were very careful of home walls, etc... in swapping out the old and bringing in the new heater to basement. I had some additional shut off valves put in for fridge and furnace humidifier. They did a great job per my final inspection. Both gentlemen were very polite and eager to answer all my questions. We plan to use them again come fall of 2026 to replace our basement ejector pump. They were just the best ever. Our furnace was emitting a weird smell. Secondary heating exchange failed. We were extremely lucky that Hansen’s was so thorough in their diagnostic skills. Gave us multiple options, explained what had gone wrong and showed us, cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant. They stayed until 8:45 to complete the job. Everything was done expertly at a fair price and major repair completed in one day so that we did not go without heat on a cold winter night

I live in Marengo, and I would recommend these guys any day of the week! I called their office on a Friday evening and Mark, the owner, picked up on his cell. He was able to help troubleshoot an issue with me, and it turned out that I needed a new hot water heater. Communication was great throughout the process. Steve was who I met at my house (technician or foreman, not sure) - he was also super kind and helpful. If I ever have any other issues in my house, I'll be sure to call Mark.

Air management is truly a first class operation that pays attention to detail and is very accommodating to customer needs. Their quote was very competitive and their knowledge of HVAC products and equipment is exceptional. Air Management installed a new furnace, A/C condenser, UV light, Nest thermostat and Media filter and gave us a very energy efficient system with a great warranty. We were extremely happy with how friendly and professional the installers were as well. Thanks AirMan!
