Good People. Harry Homeowner (aka ME) doesn’t know what he’s doing but these guys sure do. Cut it to me straight. Probably could have pretended there is more wrong than there was but voluntarily told me things were stable and performing to expectation. Very much appreciated, exactly the type of help by gladly pay my money too. Don’t hope to have another plumbing problem, but will definitely reuse them if I do.

If you are looking for a plumber, then look no further these guys are great, friendly, professional, on time, great communication and reasonably priced. You don’t find that often in contractors. I would highly recommend. They replaced our hot water heater. Even educated us on different sizes and restrictions due to how our HVAC was situated next to our tank. I got a new 50 gallon short Rheem installed and very happy. They even locked out fence gate to make sure our dogs didn’t escape.

Great experience with the Good Ol’Boys team! Chris was highly responsive, thorough, professional, and polite in helping us understand what options we had for a new water heater. David and Dylan assisted with the removal and install of the water heaters in a quick and clean fashion. We are very happy with the experience and price! Highly recommend for any plumbing services!

Had some work done in my front yard 2-3 years ago cause the water pipe was leaking near the sidewalk. Now it's leaking again and I paid $800 to get it fixed, come to find out the plumber told me that a lot of the parts weren't even supposed to be used for something underground, and that's why it happened again so soon. Called the company and no call back. Would love some communication on this. Thanks

I called them because of the good reviews. I guess they helped attract a lot of business. I've called and left voicemails twice over the past week and never received a call back. At least call back and say you're over booked and take on any more work. Wasted my time. Don't waste yours.

NOTE: This is my second attempt to post a review for this company. The company removed my first review, after disagreeing with what I wrote. I don't write salacious or slanderous reviews on here. I'm not an angry, misunderstood, conflicted teenager with a score to settle. I'm 56 years old, and I try to write clearly and objectively. On Monday April 15 two plumbers from GOBP showed up on time to repair the main water line next to our meter. When they arrived they estimated $900-1100 for the repair, which seemed high but, as they stated, this was an estimate which, I assumed, could go up or down if the job requires more or less time or materials. The two plumbers started to work immediately. One plumber dug out a 1x2x1' section of soil, then the other installed a couple feet of blue PEX hose and a shutoff valve. The first plumber replaced the soil and sod and the job was finished in one hour. So, two plumbers, together working one hour, with about $50 in parts. For that they charged $960. They lowered the price to $900, after l pointed out it was a one hour repair. I noted out that each plumber was charging me more than $400 an hour for their labor, which is more than doctors, engineers, lawyers and other professionals make. They replied, "we charge by the job, not by the hour." But the quote for the job was just that--a quote, an estimate! They wouldn't budge. I paid, wrote a review here that night and thought I was done with them. Four days later, on Friday evening, I got a call from "Chris" who wanted to discuss my review. Chris tried to convince me that they were fair, that I got a good deal, but that inflation has just been "really hard" on everyone. I disagreed. The plumbers showed up, priced the job high and showed little flexibility to adjust the price when the work was less than estimated. If they need to estimate high to cover their tails, fine, but don't use as an excuse to gouge me. Chris then tried to say it was my fault that they overcharged, because I didn't ask them up front how long it would take, or try to negotiate a lower price. Then he explained that his company loses money on other jobs...and I inferred from this that he is somehow justified in overcharging other customers like me, because he has to make up that money someplace. I agreed to modify my original review, to state that the plumbers did give me an estimate at the start of work (according to Chris I should have included that in my review, and that I didn't try to negotiate the estimate before they started work. Think about how ridiculous that sounds: "give me a lower estimate, please.". The morning after we spoke, I looked for my review on here to make the changes I promised, and it was gone.

Chris!!! Is a very kind, honest and hard-working gentleman. He is extremely knowledgeable and will do everything and anything in his capacity to save you time, money and keep you stress free. Originally, I received a quote of $1,700 from another company to fix/replace a pipe I had in my front yard. They went on and on about all the work they had to do in order to repair the water leak. I was shocked by their price so I had to at least speak with another company for my own piece of mind. I called Good Ol'Boys Plumbing and Chris came to my house within two hours. He quickly identified the problem and proposed a different solution (a much smarter solution, at that). He gave me a quote of $950. At this moment, I felt so comfortable with Chris that I was ready to pull the trigger but I told him I would get back to him. He politely followed up two days later just to see where I was at and I told him I would get back to him once again. I spoke with two other companies who began giving me the same run-around as the first company and I finally decided to go with Chris. When I told Chris I wanted to move forward with him, he was very appreciative of the opportunity and arrived promptly with his two man crew. They quickly got to work and the job was completed fairly quick. They did not slack, take excessive breaks or do anything to cause a negative experience. They were all very personable and professional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! Give Good Ol'Boys Plumbing an opportunity and I am sure, they will earn your business.

Look guys...I needed to change a water heater and modify its pipes and connections (gas, drain, expansion tank, etc.). After I quoted the work with multiple plumbing companies I received quotes only for the labor in all the possible range (from $2,500 to $800). I was extremely disappointed because coming from the mechanical/technical world I knew they were overcharging me as crazy. After reading the reviews I decided to contact these guys. And everything other customer say is true, Chris answer my questions super fast he allow me to send him pics and explanation of the work needed by text message and gave me a quote through the same way. More than reasonable price and no hidden costs. At the end I bought the heater and installation with them. Next day they were at my home installing the device. Roy, the person who came to install the heater and modify the pipes was amazing. He knew what he was doing and was able to explain each step to me. Also he didn't take shortcuts and was very thorough in everything he did. Was really a pleasure to deal with him. My recommendation is quote with a lot of companies if you want. But always check with these guys....honest...reasonable price and extremely professionals.

The plumbers we hired came on time and were professional, and they corrected what was horrible workmanship by our home builder. BUT they completely overcharged us for the labor required to do the job, then gave us the excuse that they bill by the job, not by the hour. We had a broken water main next to the meter by the street. I had dug out the mud and water from the meter and customer shutoff boxes already. The plumbers arrived on time, they dug up approx. two cubic feet of dirt, replaced the faulty line and restored water service in under an hour. So, two guys, one hour of labor each. What was the cost for this repair? $960. I was in disbelief that they would charge so much, and they dropped the price to $900. Taking away $50 for parts, these two guys charged $850 for one hour of labor, or $425/hr each. Most doctors, lawyers, engineers, and accountants don’t bill that much per hour. When I pointed out that the job took less than an hour I was told, “we bill by the job.” I didn’t know if this was a one-hour job or four when they arrived, but they sure as hell did, and they overpriced the job knowing we didn’t know that, and took advantage of another trusting customer.

For sure Lost a customer today and many more. I have used Good ole boys previously and was happy with them. This time however they showed up (on time i will give them) but then said they were leaving when only half the contracted work was complete. Then they said the dishwasher work was not on their work order which i then offered proof on the request. then i got a call from Chris the owner. who did not apologize for THEIR mistake, but instead told me he wanted an additional $480 (mind you I had already paid the service charge for them to come out already and were already on site.. and remaining work was estimated to be about 10 minutes or less.) then tried to say they couldnt do it and had another appointment. Shameless business practice. and terrible service that was 100% avoidable by just owning up to your own mistakes. but instead you lost money, respect, and a customer, and anyone who ever asks me or reads this hopefully. All over 10 minutes.. think about it. where else are they cutting corners.

If you need a plumber, trust me, don't bother to call anyone else. These guys are responsive, efficient, reasonable and most importantly, honest. I called desperate one evening about 5:00pm. We had a large external leak at the water service entry to the house and we were supposed to leave town the next day for 10 days. Spoke to Chris, he gave a very reasonable quote over the phone. I asked if he could come see it in person. Roy showed up an hour later and worked past 9pm fixing the leak. He just showed up, got to work and honored the quote Chris gave over the phone. It was too dark to put some of the landscaping back in place, so he even came back the next day and finished. Can't say enough how much I appreciate and respect Good Ol Boys Plumbing. If you want to be taken for a ride, call the other guys. If you want to feel like you've got a really skilled family member helping you out at a reasonable rate, call Chris and Roy.

Mr. Chris was phenomenal. I called the day before, a Friday, with my issue which was my pipes sounding like a cruise ship anytime water was turned on. He walked me through some steps I could take over the phone and was very patient. He did tell me it may not solve the problem, but it was worth a try. He told me if the issue came back I would be more than likely need a new PRV. The problem was solved for a little while. Then a couple of hours later, the sound returned. I called on Saturday around 12:30pm to tell him of my issue. He was here at 4:15pm, fixed my issue, was very knowledgeable of what he was doing, he was super friendly, and he fixed it in no time and for less than another company had quoted me. If you need an honest, reliable, friendly plumber, Mr. Chris at Good Ol' Boys Plumbing is the man for the job. Thank you so much Mr. Chris! The cruise ship has set sail and that horrible noise is gone!

This company was recommended to me by a trusted family member, so I did not thoroughly investigate it as I normally would. I had an emergency job at a rental property. Another large company went out first and charged me for a consultation, and then proceeded to try and upsell everything rather than do the work I stated needed to be done. A quick call to Chris with the quotes I was given and he not only beat the price but promised to get the work done that day. My tenant was very pleased with the work. And I was happy as he beat the competitors quote by 25%. 2 days later (Thursday), I discovered a leak in my pipes in Dunwoody. Saturday morning they were there and did a quick job fixing the leak (water bill over $1000 from usual $75) without any unnecessary digging in my yard. I will gladly recommend this company to my friends. Good honest work for a very fair price.

I called Good Ol' Boys and left a message. My call was returned within 10 minutes. I spoke with Chris and he was professional and polite. In an attempt to get a quote to me quickly, Chris requested I send photos of the water heater and surrounding area. I was able to get clear photos and Chris sent me several repair options in a quote in less than 20 minutes. The following morning we contacted Chris to go ahead with our choice. I wrote him at 830am and by 12pm David and Dylan had arrived to perform the repair. I was quoted an hour window for arrival and the guys arrived in the first 15 minutes of that window. They immediately got to work and by 3pm, we had hot water again. I would definitely recommend Good Ol Boys Plumbing and I would contact them again for plumbing needs in the future.

Good ‘Ol Boys Plumbing was recommended to us by friends in Milton. We had a tub / shower leak that flowed through our garage ceiling. So stressful… We called Good ‘Ol Boys. Good ‘Ol Boys was super easy to reach, polite, professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Good ‘Ol Boys came out same day. Good ‘Ol Boys ~COULD~ have taken advantage of us, because we were prepared for them to cut a hole in the ceiling, rip the tub out, who knows what… But they did ~NOT~. Instead, they identified a much simpler repair than we anticipated. The repair was appropriate for our situation. We were so relieved. Based on our experience, you can trust Good ‘Ol Boys. We do, and we will be calling them for all our future plumbing needs.
