I have a 3 year old AO Smith water heater whose pilot had failed to operate. I visited the AO Smith website to obtain a list of their certified plumbers in the Woodstock GA area. Georgia 5 Star was the first call I made. I spoke directly with Mr Ziv, the owner who appeared to be well informed on AO Smith water heaters. Mr Ziv came out promptly, diagnosed the problem (a failed gas control valve) and performed the repair on the same day, all for a very reasonable price. He was very thorough in explaining the problem and instructing us on maintenance procedures, including annual flushing to eliminate sediment buildup in order to prolong the life of the heater. My wife and I live in a 55+ community and we would not hesitate to provide the highest recommendation to members of our community or anyone else needing very professional and honest plumbing services!

He has now been sent out to my property twice by my home warranty company for the Garbage disposal and now a hot water heater installation. They communicate well, are super professional, and I will be using them for any plumbing needs I have going forward.

Review for Georgia 5 Star Plumbing: I had a terrible experience with Georgia 5 Star Plumbing. They came to my house, took my money, and didn’t fix anything. To make matters worse, they closed my warranty ticket without telling me and never bothered to call back for a follow-up on the job. This company showed a complete lack of professionalism and responsibility. I strongly advise against using their services! I called my warranty company and they stated and show me it was covered. Your service technician just closed the work order out. Most of all You don’t have a decency to even call to apologize or even talk to me the customer you just want to reply by texting.

Horrible customer service we had a major water leak and our home shield dispatched this company to repair the problem. we never received a call from them and when i called them the next day they told me they could not come out for 3 days. when i complained the woman cancelled our dispatch and said we cancelled, they did not want to do the job. very lazy attitude i highly do NOT recommend this company.

Christmas Eve 2022, house full of guests. Go downstairs to my finished basement to get extra chairs, water gushing down wall couple of inches deep on floor. Burst pipe due to recent extreme cold. What do I do? After shutting off main into house, trying to start getting water out as best I can, start calling local plumbing companies of which I know nothing about. Again, Christmas Eve, house full of guests, now no water for bathroom, kitchen or toilets. Every company either doesn’t answer or tells me it will take several days to get someone out. Every company except one….Georgia Five Star Plumbing. Wonderful lady takes my call and tells me Jiv can be there the next morning. On CHRISTMAS DAY. Unbelievable. Next morning, shortly after 11:00am just as promised Jiv arrives and immediately puts my mind at ease. Diagnoses problem and where break is and lets me know what will happen next. Unfortunately did not have part on truck necessary for repair, but said he would be back first thing the next morning to fix it. Again showed up right on time as expected, performed repair within 30 minutes, everything great! I did not know of any plumbers in my area prior to this, but now I know an excellent one. Jiv at Georgia Five Star Plumbing. I will be calling them for any of my plumbing needs in the future. Fast, knowledgeable, reliable and very reasonably priced, even for an emergency repair on the biggest holiday of the year. You can’t do better than that. Thank you again Jiv!!

Several months ago we had a handyman install a garbage disposal. You get what you pay for! He didn't do it right and it stopped working. We had excellent service with Georgia 5 Star Plumbing when they installed our hot water heater. So naturally we called them again to come to the rescue of our garbage disposal. It turned into a bigger project than expected as it is a hard wired disposal and the handyman had thrown away a key component meant to hold the wiring in place. Fortunately Jiv really knows his business. After us running to Home Depot for the missing part, he did was able to put it all together and got our disposal working solidly, as it should be, and without any anticipated future issues. Don't sell yourself short by cutting corners. Hire this professional plumbing company to do the work for you. It's guaranteed work and done right the first time. If I could give them 10 stars I would. They are that good!

We came back from vacation to find our water heater leaking. It was already time to replace it with it being 20 years old. I called on a Wednesday morning and Jiv was at our house later that afternoon to provide an estimate. Along with our water heater, we had Jiv replace the pressure regulator for our home. He was able to come back on Friday and do both jobs very quickly. Replacing the pressure regulator took some maneuvering due to where it was located, but he was able to do it without cutting any drywall. The hot water heater now works perfectly as well. Jiv was very professional throughout the job. He explained all of the work in detail and didn't attempt to upsell us. Sure, we could have probably went with someone cheaper, but you get what you pay for and I'll be using Georgia 5 Star Plumbing for any future needs.

When our water heater stopped working out of no where I was in a tizzy to get it fixed. Jiv and the team reached out to schedule and were at our home the next day. When he informed me of the issue and that the part would possibly take a few days (it had been on backorder)I did not hold my breathe when he said he would see what could be done for the part to arrive sooner. The very next day(after business hours) I got a call that he had found the part and he could come the next day to complete the repair. Needless to say i was shocked and so happy because that never happens. Someone said they would do something and they actually did. Jiv put in the extra effort when he did not need to as well as explained things to me so I could understand. I will 1000% be calling for any issues in the future! Highly recommend.

Finally! We found a plumber we can trust. We had an issue with the pressure valve on the hot water tank and water was blasting out our faucets. A friend recommended GA 5 Star Plumbing so we called them. Jiv was at our house within an hour or so after our call. He explained what the issue was in layman's terms we could understand. He had the part on his truck and fixed the problem within an hour or so. Once the repair was complete, he thoroughly checked everything and adjusted the pressure to the proper level and we were back in business. I also felt the price was fair. I feel that you sometimes can't find good, dependable service like this nowadays. GA 5 Star Plumbing has our trust and we will absolutely use Jiv for all of our future plumbing needs. THANK YOU!!!

My daughter was buying a home and we just wanted peace of mind concerning the Main drain and water pressure and Georgia 5 Star Plumbing “Jiv” came thru with flying colors. Not only did he show up exactly when he said he would be there, he ran the camera for us and then proceeded to let us know everything he had fixed at that particular home. What’s God Send! He knew everything about the home which was not disclosed to us. But Jiv’s office manager was on it as well. My call was at 8am and It was short notice. She answered the call and was able to hook everything up for us in one day- who does that! So needless to say this experience was a breath of fresh air for me and I can sleep knowing my daughter is buying a sound home.

We are so thrilled with the service we received from Georgia 5 Star Plumbing. Immediate response, up front pricing, and the quality of work is so easy to see. Quickly diagnosed problem, and went out of his way to fix the problem correctly; no band aid approach you will see from other service providers. The picture with our thermal holding tank resting on PVC piping is before, and the picture showing new piping with the free standing tank is is the after. Worked very efficiently, not a speck of anything anywhere after extremely thorough cleanup. We are so grateful for the quality work, and will be thrilled to recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing services in the future.

This company canceled on me 15 minutes before my appointment time. I gave them another chance and he didn’t show up for the second appointment! No call, nothing. I lost time and money waiting around for him to show. Horrible experience Edit in response: As your third sentence states, he canceled the first time 15 min prior. Thank you for reiterating. From one business owner to another, if I set an appointment between 9 and 9:30, I will ALWAYS call to advise if I’m running late. He was at Home Depot AFTER he was supposed to arrive. There is no excuse for that. Regardless of whether a free consultation is being provided or not, my client’s time is always respected.

I recently had an urgent issue with a broken water heater that leaked all over my basement. Thankfully, Jiv was able to come out quickly and save the day. We had a fantastic experience today with Jiv. We found him through our home warranty two years ago and were very happy with his service then. We no longer have the warranty, but we decided to reach out to him again with our recent plumbing issues. Recently, our shower started leaking into the ceiling below. Jiv was out within 24 hours, took his time assessing the situation and ultimately found a leaking pipe. He quickly fixed it and we now have a working shower!
