Service was through AHS. One thing about AHS I didn't like was waiting almost 1 1/2 hours to talk with someone. The service from Gaithersburg Plumbing was great. Jason showed up quickly to replace a valve under our kitchen sink. He explained how the valve failed and how to winterize the valve; the valve was for our faucet which is outside. The service was quick and he was very professional. I hope I get service from him again if I need it.
Mr. Max and Mr. Chester was awesome. Courteous, friendly, and on time. They work so well together. Had me laughing and made my day. Customer service was excellent. I recommend these two to anybody looking for excellent quality service.
I had a water line leak that required a complete replacement. Reached out to many plumbing companies whose quotes were outrageous to say the least in retrospect. Gaithersburg Plumbing had done some work on my house about 20 years ago and I called them again. Ron Smith came out and gave a very reasonable estimate and they were able to schedule the repair work fairly quickly. There was no overselling of other services and no pressure with jargon that the others used. Very punctual and good communication. Gary & Zach came out and the job was done cleanly and very efficiently. Can't thank them enough for the great and timely service. I will recommend this company strongly for anyone looking to get plumbing work done.
The plumber installed a water heater and made the water expansion tank just above the anode rode hole. It is extremely wrong doing. I contracted them and they refused to fix the problem. Never call Gaithersburg Plumbing again. Very Bad service.
They came to my condo to do warranty work, they determined this wasn't a warranty job but they could fix it real quick anyway. After a half hour of work and zero understanding of any charge, I was given a bill of almost $300. Absolutely horrible communication and can't even get the office to call you back. Really shady people.
RIPPED ME OFF! (UPDATED 8/27/19) Spoke to the owner in advance who quoted me $170 hr for service plus materials. Plumber arrived on time but said installing a shower valve would cost $395. Valve was totally exposed, (cut 3 pipes and install new) . My other contractors were waiting so had to pay fee figuring the owner who I spoke with in advance would honor the rate he quoted me. Owner would not refund difference and agreed he quoted me the rate. Took plumber 20 min to do work as I anticipated. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A PLUMBER - This business is not credible and will not live up to their promises. THIEVES!!!!! I am revising this posting due to a call from the lady web manager who called me a week ago. She wanted to know about my experience which I told her - and she offered me the refund that I was due if I "Removed this posting". I told her I did not think it was right that her company would only refund me if I removed the posting. She should have apologized for the misunderstanding and given me the refund that was due. I would have of course updated my review to tell people who needed plumbing services that Gaithersburg Plumbing "Made it right". Instead, when I told her I would not remove the posting - I asked her if she was still going to refund me the money that was due me - she said "NO, only if you remove the posting". So ultimately, Gaithersburg is not concerned about doing what is right but rather concerned about people finding out how they really operate. Again, I reiterate - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE CHEATS!
I wasted $49 for their travel fee to give estimate! I believe what I got was bad faith estimates up to 4X higher than other plumbers. I needed to replace a single outlet valve to be a double outlet one. The technician named Edgar quoted me $675. Before he arrived, the dishwasher installer quoted me $150. I was shocked to hear $675 from Edgar. So, I decided to get another 2 quotes from another licensed plumbers, they quoted me $143 and $195. Their estimates were totally free, no travel charge. First, I thought Edgar was a disgruntled employee or a new hire, so I called his supervisor Amanda to see if Edgar has made mistakes; unfortunately, Amanda did confirm the estimate was correct and Edgar is a Master Plumber with last name of Jauregui. I checked MD DLLR, there is a licensed plumber with that name #94676. Another job (sump pump) he quoted me is also about $1,000 higher than 2 other licensed plumbers that come to our house after he left. The reason why I believe the estimates were bad faith estimates because I had to reschedule our appt 5x due to my unpredictable work schedule and the delivery reschedules from the dishwasher installer. So, I thought Edgar or the company has made decision not to work with us due to too many reschedules. If it was true, they should not come and collect my $49 at the first place. I believe that is a misuse of public trust or sleazy , just because Edgar/company was rubbed the wrong way (too many reschedules), he/they feel justified to waste our $49 and time.
Wow! Gaithersburg Plumbing is amazing! Our regular plumber recommended Gaithersburg Plumbing when the pipe burst at our rental property. He told us that Gaithersburg Plumbing was top notch and he would only recommend them for this kind of work--digging and repairing/replacing the pipe underground. Ron at Gaithersburg Plumbing was so very accommodating. He had a few jobs ahead of ours but fit us in and sent his crew early in the morning so he could fit everyone into his schedule. He even came the evening before and started the job early so that he could make it all work into his tight schedule. Mike, also with Gaithersburg Plumbing and Ron took extra care by taking photos and documenting this since we live away from the property. They also called the utility companies before digging and are seeding the area that was dug up. In addition to all of this, they came out to put a de-icer down so that no one would slip on the ice that resulted from the broken pipe. We drove by the property last night (we were in the area) to check on things and the area was so neat and tidy even though it was dug up! This is a top-notch group. They are going the extra mile and we appreciate that so much. If you ever need plumbing of this magnitude, I would highly recommend this group. They may do smaller jobs as well, I just don't know but it doesn't hurt to give them a call! Tell them I sent you! They are awesome!
Our technician came in took 10 minutes to do the estimate. He came back gave an estimate of $333. This was for a service to replace one valve in a faucet. It took him literally two and a half to three minutes to fix the problem. Exorbitant and ridiculous price for such a service. I did complain and yeah I got 60 bucks back till cost $250. For literally two and a half minutes of work and maybe $10 for a part. I do not recommend this company. They obviously gouge their customers and then come back with futile efforts to fix that. If this was an emergency call or something off hours I would understand that kind of pricing but a middle of the day on a weekday $333 for literally two and a half to three minutes of work is crazy. 250 is way out of line. Stay away from these guys their mask robbers
Had a toilet that the wood floor around it was showing discoloration around the floor area so had it “repaired” by Gaithersburg Plumbing for $480 only to have the issue worsen and continue to leak overtime and ruin the floor around it. Since I called well after the 30 day warranty there was literally nothing they were willing to do for me and I was told I’d have to pay for a tech to come out ($50) and for whatever the repair would be. This is an issue that I would not know was still a problem within 30 days. The technician who came out seemed rushed, not thorough and did not explain anything to me. As a single women who knows nothing about this kind of thing I just feel taken advantage of and that the follow up problem was not handled well. Do not recommend.
I had plumbing service from Gaithersburg Plumbing INC many times. The plumbers did wonderful job!!! they diagnosed exactly and repaired perfectly! They also provide professional report about the problems and the repairs which is very important to protect yourself from any disputes such as water problems or property damages. The master plumber whos name is EDGAR did great work when I had a severer water problem last month. Hi is absolutely qualified and experienced. The owner of the company support customers in a great way. I am glad to had service from Gaithersburg Plumbing and highly recommend home owners to know their wonderful service!
Gaithersburg Plumbing did a fantastic job for me to repair a water main break and pulling a new line to the house. From estimating through final completion they explained everything, kept me informed, were punctual and completed the work quicker than anticipated. And, they were almost half the price of the other two bids. They came highly recommended to me by two other plumbers who don't do this type of work and I can see why. If I have future plumbing needs, they'll get the call.
Called in to have a hot water heater fixed. They gave me a window of 0800-1200 today. Called them at noon when they weren't here. They tell me they can't make it, and may not even have the parts to do the job. Took an entire day off work without pay to wait for a plumber that can't manage to show up. Worse is that this was a referral from another company I trust. I let them know they may want to reconsider their referrals. Absolutely unprofessional.
Hot water heater leaking and need replacement. The plumber who came didnt even bothered to drain the leaking hot water heater because they didnt have a water hose long enough (only needed 30ft hose) and said they will need to contact warranty co. I had to go buy a water hose and drain the tank myself. After 10 days no news and no new HWH. Pretty poor service i wud say. If i had known this i wud never have used their service in the first place.
stay away from Gaithersburg plumbing, inc. The real problem: tub overflow o-ring has a leak. Company solution: open up your perfectly working toilet 5 feet away for $305. Their diagnosis was completely wrong and money driven They charge $305 for looking at toilet with no evidence of leaking. and . btw they charge $50 just to show up at your door, regardless if they finds source of your problem or not
