Excellent communication. Service was very timely and good.
Flatiron Plumbing is on top of their work Anthony was always on time and very courteous. Price was workable.
I contacted Arvada Flatirons Plumbing for resolution on a water issue late in the afternoon. They scheduled us for the first appointment the following day. I received notification my tech would Anthony who arrived timely. We discussed my issue with a leaking stack pipe as evidence by water in the basement. Anthony said he would do an inspection to determine source of the leak. He quickly determined the source. We were given several options for correcting the water leak on the cracked fitting. Once we selected the fix, he quickly got to work. It's was within the walls from the upper bathrooms. During his work , a second tech , Paul show up to assist as the plumbing ran thru 3 Floors. They completed the work on a timely fashion and flush tested the new plumbing. They thoroughly cleaned up the area when finished. I highly recommend Flatirons plumbing Arvada for any work. They are professional, courteous and prompt. My neighbors had previously use them and were please with them as well.
I can't speak to the quality of their work, but based on their pricing it should be amazing. I was quoted $1300 for $50 in parts and what would have been an hour and a half of labor tops. We had an undermount kitchen sink installed and needed the garbage disposal and pvc installed. I don't enjoy spending time under the sink so I thought we'd pay a plumber to take care of it. Flatirons quoted us $1300. I paid less than $50 for a new flange, pvc pieces, some putty, etc. and installed it in less than an hour. I don't know how they can justify their pricing. They were prompt and professional, but do yourself a favor and line up a couple different quotes because this one was offensive.
We requested a sewer snake on a line going from an ejector pump to the main sewer line. The technician had no interest in trying to do the work, but he definitely recommended we replace our perfectLy functional hot water heater and put a water pressure regulator on our main line. Literally NO INTEREST in a problem focused visit to address the only issue we asked them to help with.
Buyer beware!!! This company is not trustworthy. They cannot and will not provide you with an itemized invoice explaining the cost of their work, they simply just give you flat fee with no detail. When i spoke with the owner paul he continually avoided my requests for a detailed and itemized invoice of the work performed at my house and he flat out refused to give me an invoice explaining the charges. This all started because i was charged 2300$ to replace a water heater, i looked up the model they sold me its cost about 750 and change, the "master plumber" was here for no more than 3 hours ( part of which was spent looking at a running toilet that he was not asked to look at). Now im no math wiz but assuming the old water heater cost 100$ to dispose of were at 850, plus various fittings, maybe 50$ at most, were at 900, so 1400$ for 3 hours of work breaks down to 467$ per hour..... that pretty much should speak for its self. However when i spoke with paul he kept trying to explain to me his business model, and that my bill somehow covers health insurance and retirement and taxes and fees blah blah blah, all things that are not my responsibility. I spoke with a another plumber who said the same job with the same water heater could have been done for less than 1100$. So if you want to pay double what you should, call these guys. Side note: that running toilet, Jim the "master plumber" told me it would cost 1200 $ to replace the entire toilet to stop it from running. I went to home depot, spend 16 $ on a new fill valve, the last one was installed incorrectly, something the master plumber failed to identify, and fixed the problem myself. Bottom line, this company seeks to overcharge you every where possible and their work is not equal the 2 times the standard price for such a job. Dont waste your time or money on these so called "professionals" who cannot even be troubled to provide you with a itemized invoice.
After dreading for the last 19 years when my clay main sewer line from the house to the city main would break, as this has happened to at least 7 homes on my street, it finally happened two weeks ago. I called several plumbing companies as well as two independent contractors, and got very poor communication, or missed appointments. I happened to share my predicament with a colleague at work who referred me to Flatirons Plumbing of Arvada. I called Flatirons and spoke with a very pleasant receptionist who listened with empathy, and understood the gravity of my situation, and immediately made an appointment for the next day at 830am. The next day at 830am sharp, Paul and Steven with Faltirons Plumbing were at my front door. I told them about my situation. They were very professional, and genuinely caring, and offered to do a full line inspection to see what exactly was going on. They scoped the entire line, and then showed me the video of the inspection. They gave me two very reasonable, and detailed estimates, as well as checking the other plumbing lines and found one that was under sized for ventilation and a drain line leading from my hot water heater that needed to be replaced due to leaking from corrosion. I asked for a quote for those as well. I received a detailed quote that night. They said they could start as soon as the they received a permit from the City. 3 days later the City approved the permit and they started and finished two days later, working with my work schedule. Paul and Steven were very detailed, respectful, considerate, and great communicators. They also stuck to their quote, which was less than my neighbors had paid to have their Main lines replaced. I highly recommend Paul and Steven with Flatirons plumbing! Thank you both for turning a crappy situation into a very pleasant one!
EDIT: Hours after leaving this review, Flatirons reached out to me to address my complaints. Since this job is not reflective of the company, they've issued me a full refund (I should've complained sooner!). I'm impressed how quickly and earnestly Flatirons took accountability. We had work done by Flatirons plumbing back in November of 2022. I got yet another spam email requesting to write a review, so here I am. (Invoice #9407) We had a leak in our kitchen ceiling, seeping through some drywall. When Flatirons plumbing cut the drywall, the plumber used an electric cutter and started cutting without regard to the piping or wiring above. The plumber ended up cutting a water pipe, spewing water and drywall remains all over our kitchen. He rushed to find the shutoff valve to our condo, which was the only way to stop the water. He then had to repair both the leaking connection and the pipe he cut open himself. While we were unhappy with the service, I had initially chalked it up to bad luck. We hired a different plumber to replace all polybutylene piping in our condo. I immediately knew either our second plumber was above and beyond, or Flatirons plumbing was terribly subpar. The second plumber used a non/electric saw to cut into drywall, very careful not to cut anything he couldn't see. In addition, despite creating a fraction of the mess for a job 10x more intensive, this second plumber used a shop vac to clean up any leftover drywall dust. With Flatiron, we were left to mop up the mess of water and drywall that the plumber's haphazard cutting left behind.
I can not rave about Flatirons enough! From the moment I contacted them, it was clear they had professional and prompt service. I first emailed the company Sunday morning to have them come out and check out a weird issue going on with my shower. Within 30 minutes, they contacted me back stating they were able to come to my house to check out the issue the next day between 12-3. They informed me that they would give me a 30-minute heads up before they got there (which was SO helpful!)....however, turns out I didn't even need the heads up because they arrived exactly at 12. John was so incredibly kind and helpful and walked me through the whole process. It was a pretty tricky issue, however, he started on it right away and did a variety of diagnostics to figure out the real issue (vs. masking the problem or jumping to the expensive/intrusive option right away). He spent a total of 4 hours and worked diligently throughout the whole process. He was such a nice guy, I know from now on he will be our go-to guy for anything plumbing related! Again, I can't say enough about this company. It can be hard to find great people that you trust and enjoy being around, but Flatirons blew me away and I couldn't be happier! Thanks John for everything!
Technician, who I later learned was not even a plumber but an "apprentice", arrived and without even trying to diagnose the problem I was having, quoted me $900 to replace my not-even-5 year old in sinkerator pro 333 with a 1/2 horsepower disposal that retails for $199. When asked for a lower cost option, I was quoted $600 to install a 1/3 horsepower disposal that retails for $99 and takes 45 min tops to install. Told the guy to take a hike!!! $500/hour is a pretty steep hourly rate for this work, I'd say. This is highway robbery. Within the hour, I ended up ordering a 3/4 horsepower In Sink Erator via Amazon Prime Now for $197 and having it delivered within 20 minutes for $7.99. Hired an actual certified plumber to install it for $85. Total spend, $285. Shudder to think what Flatirons would charge for a certified plumber to install a 3/4 hp machine. $1500? $2000??? Sky's the limit. BUYER BEWARE - they will send an "apprentice" out instead of a plumber, not even try to diagnose the problem, then quote exorbitant prices that have no bearing in reality.
Our sewer line backed up so we were excited these guys were coming over right away to get to the bottom of it.. Mark came over and did a sewer scope and said we needed to replace the whole line from the house past the clean outs. He said there was offsetting and bellying and that we needed over $10,000 worth of repairs. Turns out the offsetting is where the pipe goes from 4" to 3" and if we wanted to replace the whole thing we could do so for around $6,000. Also for even cheaper we could do just a spot repair or cleaning but we're never given that as an option. He was very short and rude as he overcharged for the scope and never gave us a report or a video which it says on there website is included. But now we know that they are just scam artists or just really bad at there job. I tried to be nice because I don't know anything about plumbing but now it's obvious they are just trying to take advantage of people that don't understand. Don't waste your time and money with this company. They deserve -50 stars. What a terrible experience.
I had a Delta bathroom faucet with virtually no pressure. I purchased a faucet cartridge and installed but that did not resolve the issue. Flatirons sent a plumber who after 20 minutes concluded I needed a new faucet assembly. I asked if he could remove the existing faucet so I could take it to Lowe's and seek an identical new replacment. He said he did not have a tool to remove the faucet. I removed it. Pretty simple once you figure it out. I ordered the faucet and sent the tech an email to see if he was available to install. No answer. Took me 3 hours and it now works perfectly. My wife was impressed! For $225 for 20 minutes perhaps I should pretend I'm a plumber. NOTE: within in an hour of the posting above, I received a call from Paul (On /sunday!) who expressed concerned with the level of service. Very professional and understanding. He refunded the charge even though I did not request; I have saved his name and in the future if I have a plumbing issue, I will give them another chance.
Impressive at first. But $5000 later, we'd never use them again. We had a septic smell in our house. A guy we had worked with before at Flatirons came out to fix it. We had begun to lose faith in Flatirons and this plumber when, on the previous trip to our home, his solution to a problem was so inane that we will have to have it redone--and we paid $2000 for it. In fact, in under three months, we paid more than $5000 to flatirons, and yet they would not honor their own measly coupon for $40--the plumber didn't give it to them at the right time. They wanted to credit our account for the "next time"--but there will be no more next time. Anyway, the septic problem: the plumber said detecting the origin of a smell in a home was "the hardest thing ever" and in order to really do it right, he'd have to probably tear out some walls. We refused the service. Then we looked up a solution in YouTube. Guess what? We fixed it for under $20--by snaking the outside vent, then covering it with the appropriate cover.
The technician, Anthony, was great, professional, efficient, and did solid work after he had to go get parts. The price was quoted upfront and I agreed, not knowing the job would take under 30 minutes or be as simple as capping two water lines and one gas line with easy access. The $575 final bill later felt well above market. When I contacted the office, I did not ask for a specific price reduction. I intentionally left any adjustment to their judgment, in good faith, believing they would assess what was reasonable. Instead, I was told that because I accepted the quote, I needed to state what the job was “worth.” When I declined to name a number and asked them to determine a fair adjustment, the office manager became rude and refused any consideration. That response reflects poor customer service. A small goodwill adjustment would have kept me a satisfied, repeat customer. Unfortunately, the office response overshadowed an otherwise positive experience with the technician.
Flatirons Plumbing is amazing, and I cannot say enough great things about Cesar Castaneda the technician who assisted. I had a pipe to my outside spigot break, Flatirons had Cesar out within a day. Cesar was knowledgeable, efficient and professional. While he was here I asked him to install Flo by Moen a smart water sensor for the house. He was amazing. We had sooo much difficulty pairing my Android with the device, which, as it turns out is a result of Moen not the WIFI or carrier or application. There are two applications, Moen and Flo. Android, or mine only could sync with the device using Flo. Cesar stayed 2 hrs on 2 days to assure things worked properly. We had to call Moen support, Cesar remained. We were successful thanks to Moen support. Again, cannot say enough about the support, professionalism and customer focus Cesar and Flatirons exhibit. Definitely would and will recommend them.
