I’m a renter and our water heater started to leak all over the floor last Friday evening. I tried to reach out to local Castro Valley plumbers, but those who answered the phone were booked for week ahead. Fito was just next door in Hayward and picked up the phone around 8pm. Since we are renters, he requested to speak to the owner, and after talking to them he scheduled his crew for next day morning. His team showed up on Saturday morning on time. Water heater was over 20 years old and was not repairable. They covered the floor around the work area and proceeded with replacement. They installed the new heater on the pedestal and added new drain line so it does not flood the floor in the future. Work was done in timely manner. Very happy with their service. Our landlord mentioned that the final bill was also reasonable. Thank you!

I wrote a review of this company and it can be seen on yelp under the companies name without having to repeat myself but I strongly suggest staying away from this company unless you want to find yourself in a court room.

Rarely do I see a contractor fully vested in performing a job so diligently you'd think they were doing it for their own family. We used Fito Plumbers for a nightmarish issue which came up at our new property (30 ish year old home) we moved into. Upon the Pleasanton water dept notifying us that we had a leak which was using approximately 11 gallons of water per hour, we did several tests ourselves and had several plumbers through our warranty as well as American lleak detection company come out and confirm that unfortunately ours was a slab leak (may have been multiple leaks) underneath the foundation by where our staircase, built in cabinetry and coat closet was. Due to the nature of the leak, it would have been an expensive and short term solution to break floors and fix a single leak. So, the decision was made to have our house re piped over the slab (within the walls and ceiling). Enter Fito Plumbers. Fito consulted with us a couple of times. He worked with us according to our needs and our budget being new homeowners. He brought over Will, who would be leading the repiping and thoroughly navigated his way through the home and gave his opinions on where he thought it would be best and least invasive to install the new pipes. He gave us a quote, an estimated completion date for repiping the entire house and dry wall and started working the next week. I kid you not, every single day, his guys (about four of them) showed up on time and ready to get us closer to having running water. Fito himself came through regularly to ensure that everything was going smoothly. They were so careful with our home and belongings taking extra care to cover the work areas with zippered tents so the dust wouldn’t escape and laying down painters tarp/ paper on our floors to avoid spills and scratches. It was helpful that each member on their team spoke English and furthermore, were SO incredibly friendly. They’d smile and keep us posted as to the progress and respond to questions in a highly professional way. At the end of the project, they spent an entire day’s worth cleaning up. From taking down the tents and coverings to sweeping and mopping our floors, they helped us much as they could to ensure we had our house back in its’ original clean state. Our piping is working great and I hope that we won’t have to worry about repiping for at least 20-30 years if not ever. If we have plumbing issues in the future, we wouldn’t think twice to hire Fito and his guys. They are the best! Hire them and you won’t regret it.

Our sewage injector pump in Oakland went bananas right after the holiday and needed to be replaced. But more than that, I already knew that the installation was very suboptimal and needed to be completely re-engineered. Sure, we could've only replaced the pump as-is but we'd be right back where we were one day. Enter Fito Plumbers who quickly responded to my first call and began rethinking the layout & piping while getting our system working until the new pump came in. A job like this is part art and part science, and Arnul stayed true to doing what was right, making my options clear with an eye towards creating a much better system in the end. I'm not a plumber, but I am a chemical engineer and he and I worked well together with a common goal. Once the project started, all of the crewmembers were friendly, polite, conscientious and hard working. In the end, we removed about 60-70 feet of unnecessary piping with far too many elbows which dramatically decreased the static head on the new pump. And by moving the tank uphill to a smarter location on a new platform they built under the house, we also removed maybe 90 lbs of water weight that the new pump has to push against. At Arnul's suggestion, we also doubled the system capacity with a larger tank so that it will last a long time with less cycling and more room for the submerged pump to operate. I have no idea what the original builders were thinking, but we now have a dependable system that my house deserves. And everything is very neat and professional appearing with the wire harnesses and straps neatly positioned.

You can't beat no charge! The 70 year old main shutoff valve outside the house was leaking. My water usage had been sky high. Started calling other plumbers first thing 7 am Monday morning. Either they weren't available or they didn't want the work. One guy even came by the house to check it out, without telling me. He called to tell me he wouldn't do the work, but recommended a friend who never responded to my voice mail. Fito came out the same day. He tightened the valve and it stopped leaking! He didn't think that could have caused the 275 gal per day report from EBMUD so he spent more time advising me how to isolate the leak. He then charged me nothing! He thought the high usage may have been the leaky toilet flapper I replaced the week before. But we will follow his advice and try to find the cause of the high usage ourselves. He said, "Plumbers are expensive! Try to figure it out yourself before calling me to charge you to find it."

They are really great!!! And they service all over including Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, etc. My shower was leaking so the property management sent out their maintenance guy to fix it. He replaced the handles and I had problems with them so he came out again. It didn’t fix the problem so I asked that they send out a professional plumber. Luckily the management team is super nice and did. They use Fito for major plumbing work in the buildings they manage. I can understand why. The technician came out and said I would have continuously had problems without replacing this, that and the other. He did all of the work and to my surprise, I now have more water pressure (wasn’t a problem before but now it is great!!!). Plus, they replaced handles with one major one and I haven’t had any of the old problems since. The tech who came out was super nice and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!!!

I was having issues with my sewer so I called fito plumbers. They answered quickly and came out the very next day. After a camera inspection they determined I needed a sewer replacement. They showed me the video and explained to me why they recommended me to replace it. I agreed to have them replace it and they took care of everything, they pulled all the required permits and kept me updated throughout the whole process. The day of the job they got here very early and got to work right away. Very professional and they have some really good equipment that made everything look so easy. They finished the job that very same day! I was surprised how quickly they were able to get it done. I am no longer having issues and I have fito plumbers and his team to thank for that. His crew was also very nice and friendly. I would definitely call them again and highly recommend them!

I own 41 rental units and have used Fito and his crew for all my plumbing needs. The best description I can give is that there is nothing he can’t handle. The worst thing a contractor can do is make you feel that you have a huge problem and it’s going to cost a ton of money. Fito is the opposite. Nothing bothers him and when the inevitable takes a turn for the worse, Fito handles it in stride without making you feel like it’s your problem. He and his crew will stay as long as it takes, and if you own rental property, he makes tenants feel everything is in control. I can’t tell you how many complicated issues he’s figured out for me. He goes well beyond plumbing and is a true general contractor. He’s just the best plumber and contractor I have ever known and he has saved me tons of money and hassle. You won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend this company. Very Honest, Prompt, Very Respectful and nobody will beat their prices. Last March, I had problem with a gas leak on my meter line, PG&E only gave me 5 days to to fix the leak. I called three (3) different companies but unfortunately none of them returned my calls. I called Fito Plumbers and in half hour Fito (Owner of the Company) showed up to assess the problem. He quoted me an extremely good price, even gave me a discount due the Covid -19 pandemic situation. Got the job done finished in one day. Today I called Fito again regarding a leaking toilet, in a matter of 20 minutes Lalo (Supervisor) showed up and got the problem corrected. Their response time is awesome. Thank you very much to both Fito and Lalo - great job guys..

Fito and his crews are knowledgeable, articulate, friendly and honorable. With fair very competitive prices I will not hesitate to call again if I need more assistance or to recommend to a friend or neighbor. I got 4 bids two of which were corporate and poised to charge more than double Fito's price. One of his competitors padded the quote by double entry of the sewer lateral on the quote, more than triple Fito's price! Big Blue wanted to charge me $900 to use a camera inspection, Fito did that for free. Fito's camera inspection took 10 minutes. When they were done digging they replaced the landscaping as nothing had happened. Fito worked with the county got the permits and filed the necessary paperwork. A big load off my mind, Thanks to Fito Plumbers.

We called Fito to help us with our kitchen remodel in April of 2019. He responded immediately and met us at our home to look at the work to be done in person. He was very detailed in his description of how the process works as well as his thoughts on how to proceed. I am a tile contractor who has worked with many plumbers and I immediately felt comfortable with his knowledge of plumbing. Fito started the job exactly when he said he would and finished on time as well. All of the work was inspected by the city of Oakland and passed on the first round. We have been using of kitchen and enjoying his work ever since. I would definitely hire them for my next project. Thank you Fito and crew for your hard work and attention to detail!

The hot water heater at a rental property wouldn't heat, so I needed a plumber immediately. To add, it was a holiday weekend, which made me nervous about finding an available plumber. But, I searched Hayward plumbers and found Fito. Fito was accommodating and understood my concern for the tenant being without hot water for three days. Fito replaced the watet heater, but then something went wrong with the electrical. Fito went above and beyond what he was hired to do. I eventually needed to call an electrician, but Fito took care of the plumbing which works perfectly now. Even the electrician said Fito did a good job, and fixed the electrical problem in minutes. THANKS AGAIN FITO! I'LL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE!
