When you have an irrigation leak that has flooded your crawl space, you're not exactly thriving. Firkus Plumbing was recommended by another Plumbing company who was too busy. I called. They scheduled me for the next day. They found the broken pipe. Fixed it. Explained that whomever landscaped the home was at fault. They were kind and patient, explaining everything in detail. They did the whole job in an hour. I just got the bill and was surprised that it wasn't higher. Firkus Plumbing is a great value and I highly recommend them. If only I had known to call them and check the irrigation before this happened. Let this be a warning to all who read this. Landscapers are not licensed Plumbers. They do not have to build to code.
Firkus Plumbing for my septic to sewer change and decommission of my septic tank was an outstanding business to hire. They worked as fast as they possibly could to do a job like mine. Casey and Gage the 2 young men who were under my house were real troopers, who worked in that very confined space to hook every thing underneath the house which was complicated buy a bathroom addition. Jason Firkus Gave me a "Cheat" sheet that made it easy to know exactly what permits I had to get. a great company and crew to work with
In November, I was belatedly advised by the City of Bend that I had a long duration leak. After frantically searching my entire home, property, and adjoining properties, thankfully I did not find any evidence of leaked water. Based on the strong referral of several friends, I contacted Firkus Plumbing. Jonathan promptly came to our home and determined that the leak was likely in our service line. While still onsite, he contacted American Leak Detection and scheduled a survey that confirmed the exact location of the leak in the service line. Thereafter, Firkus mobilized their equipment, excavated to expose the leak and repaired it. We were fortunate that the large volume of water leaked apparently went straight down deep and into the ground at the source, which is what Jonathan surmised on his original site visit. At Jonathan’s strong recommendation, I had him install a Flo by Moen in line home leak detection apparatus, which continuously monitors our home for leaks and will automatically shut the water off if it detects one. I would highly recommend Firkus Plumbing and gladly give them a 5-star rating for their expertise, promptness, courtesy, and follow-up!
We had a water leak between our upstairs master bathroom and our living room. Water was flowing out of our living room ceiling. We were connected to Firkus via an after hours emergency plumbing line. Pros- the two workers they sent were kind and courteous. Cons- everything else. I walked them through all the areas we discovered. They zoned in on a toilet that was not related to the leak. I questioned this as their theory did not make sense. An old rubber ring in the toilet could not lead to the level of water that was actively leaking from our living room. He said he knew it was the toilet because it was running. I pointed out that it was filling because the water had been shut off for 24 hours and was just turned back on. I was told that the plumber had “a plumbers ear and did not hear any water flow after replacing that ring”. They said it was all taken care of and left. The issue was not resolved and the leak continued with further damage to my subfloors and tile in the bathroom. We then called a different plumbing company. That plumber discovered the issue within 5 minutes; a failed expansion tank on our water heater had caused the connection under our master vanity to break. He fixed both the tank and the lines under our vanity within 30 minutes. We’re human, we don’t always get it right, but I really hope that Firkus invests in more training and education for their team so that no one else has to learn this the hard way. We are now working our way through a $30,000 restoration.
Great experience! Needed to hook up to city sewer and decommission old septic tank. Casey P and Gauge G did a terrific job, endured my unending questions, and left my yard looking well. Great communication. Very personable crew. Thanks guys.....would work with you again anytime!!! Cheryl O.
