Allen was indeed very thorough with providing details prior to completing any work and answered all of the questions regarding my plumbing concerns. He was able to determine exactly what my plumbing problem was and explained the related issues. This gave me complete comfort and trust in his work. Very knowledgeable and definitely demonstrated excellent customer service.

I had a great experience with Chen Zhang, a technician. He was very friendly, professional, and clearly knowledgeable about his work. He took the time to explain everything and was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Chen arrived right on time and completed the job efficiently without cutting any corners. He worked diligently, made sure everything was done properly, and finished in a timely manner. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does. I truly appreciate his professionalism and would highly recommend him to anyone needing HVAC services!

I had Matt in today, with Jonathan shadowing him, and they did great work! Every part of the process was explained to me - what was wrong, what that meant, what it was supposed to look like, and how to fix it. They originally came in for the yearly free maintenance check you get with a membership, but they found an issue with our water pressure system. They fixed it within a couple hours, and were out of my house by noon with a full comprehensive list of what they had done, how long it should last, and an easy expectation that if *anything* was wrong later, they would fix it (for free, up to a year later). Both young men were very helpful, friendly, and professional.

The representative was punctual and professional in demeanor. However, as someone who made it clear I’m not knowledgeable about HVAC systems, I was hoping for more explanation and guidance about the different options available. I found myself repeatedly asking for clarification, and much of the conversation focused on the limited time of the Costco promotion rather than helping me understand the systems themselves. For such a significant investment, I would have appreciated who would have been more consultative and educative. By the end of the visit, I found myself wanting to seek quotes from other companies, even though I genuinely would have preferred to move forward through Costco.

I dont recommend you call them if you want a repair or replace any older equipment. They came out to look at my HVAC for the normal heat not working and wanted to sell me a 6500 cleaning or a 25K replacement. I called another place and it was the capacitor and only cost me $100. Plus the tech was late for the appointment.

Review 3: F.H. Furr plumbing and HVAC technicians have been out several times in the last 6 months for water leaks to my water tank, my hvac system and now the water meter. Although their service comes with a higher price than some others, the work done, time spent correcting the problem and advice given have been worth the extra money. Trace was here today and he got right to the problem. He was prompt, knowledgeable and did a great job! Review 2: My heating and air needs to be replaced. My water tank works in conjunction with my HVAC system, a loop system providing hot water to my condo and at the same time heat in the winter via an air handler that pushes hot water through. Sounds like I know what I'm talking about right? Wrong, thanks to Richard Scott, the HVAC detective, he explained the system and untangled the mystery of which line is connected where and the location of where it drains to. I must say he explained it better than the HOA maintenance person! He even got him thinking about his understanding of it all. Richard spent some time investigating the area and testing my HVAC. My unit is old and needs many parts replaced. Although I need an entirely new system, I am not replacing it yet. I bought the yearly maintenance package with F.H. Furr, thanks to the plumber that came out to install my new water tank before this visit today. I'm recommending the maintenance package after today. The expertise imparted by the technicians that assisted me with my plumbing, HVAC woes have been thorough, to say the least, and very much appreciated. Review 1: I had to have an emergency water tank replacement today. Ferrel was fantastic! Great plumber. He resolved my messy situation in a matter of hours, even with hauling the old and new up and down 5 flights of stairs! That's right no elevator. He did it all with a smile and down to earth approach. I'd recommend him completely for anyone with plumbing issues. He even looked for discounts and helped me with financing ideas. All said and done great experience!

We chose FH Furr for an EV charger installation even though they were more expensive than several other quotes. We made that decision because their technician made a great impression and we felt confident in the company. We even cancelled an existing service plan with another provider to move forward with FH Furr. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. At 8:21 a.m. on the day of our scheduled installation, we received a call saying our job had to be rescheduled due to technician call-outs. Over the next three hours, I called multiple times asking to speak with a manager and was repeatedly told someone would call me back. I was also routed to an AI answering system that discouraged speaking to a live representative. During this time, I was told our appointment had not been cancelled and that we were "next on the schedule." That turned out to be incorrect. A manager eventually confirmed that the technician did not have the proper equipment to complete the job -- despite the installation being scheduled for over a week. The issue was not simply a reschedule. It was the lack of preparation, the conflicting information, and the inability to provide clear communication throughout the morning. Had I not continued following up, I likely would have waited all day for a job that could not be completed. I understand that scheduling challenges happen, but this level of miscommunication and lack of coordination is concerning -- especially from a company that positions itself as premium-priced. I would encourage others to carefully consider their expectations around communication and reliability before choosing FH Furr. We were told repeatedly that a manager would call us back and it has been 2 weeks with no call or email.

I paid FH Furr to have a tankless hot water heater replaced. The sale and the initial work went well. Five months later, well under the manufacturer's and FH Furr's warranty, the system was not able to perform as it did when installed. In short, I now have a lukewarm water heater. Upon contacting them, there has been a lot of back and forth, with them trying to sell me a water treatment system, insisting gas would work better, and blaming the incoming water service. All three variables which were never a problem with the old system. They even blamed the Tankless Hot Water Heater elements until it occurred to them that they provided me with the Tankless Hot Water Heater and it's their problem to correct. There have been multiple appointments they have blown off or rescheduled, and have not responded to my last two phone messages left with dispatch. With no other options remaining, I have contacted another plumber who has been directed to replace the elements. I will expect full restitution once all my expenses are tallied, and have no issue with filing a suit to recoup my damages. Fortunately for me, I build spaces for a living and have access to trades people and design engineers. I am not an uninformed customer, and have had to point out to FH Furr manufacturer's published information that explains the source of failure. I typically do not mix professional contacts with my private business due to their inherent conflict of interests. I feel for the uninformed customer that would not be able to fix their problem, and for that, I cannot allow in good faith for FH Furr to not satisfy their warranty requirements.

Back in September of 2019, F. H. Furr installed a water heater. All was well until about four or five months ago, something began to go wrong with my system. Noises began to occur that could have been the the pressure reducing valve or the thermal expansion tank which they replaced at the time of the water heater install in September 2019. Fast forward to May 29, 2025, when I contacted them to come out and give me an estimate for the repairs. The technician was cordial and well versed in what he was doing and needed to be accomplished. The size of the estimate made me decide to DIY R&R the expansion tank and save a considerable amount of money. I secured the same exact expansion tank that was originally installed and proceeded to remove the old one which had indeed failed and reinstall the new one after pumping it up to the correct pressure. Success or so I thought. After the fact, I read the installation instructions that came with the new tank only to find out that they originally installed the expansion tank incorrectly by placing the unit horizontally rather than vertically, water connection up or down. The installation instructions say in bold letters DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXPANSION TANK IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION. Sadly, I had to install the new tank incorrectly as well because I didn't want to do any work on the copper pipe. I recommend to F.H. Furr that they make sure their installers follow the manufacturer's suggestions for installing products that they sell and install.

I have been a preferred partner for three years now. I pay two monthly subscriptions (no idea why -- this seems wrong). I called Saturday morning after my HVAC unit shut down. You gave me a window of "all day Sunday". My family and I waited at home all day. I called twice trying to get an update only to be told I would "receive a call back". Never heard from you at all. Called back Sunday evening only to learn that no one would be showing up that day, and that I would be put first on the schedule Monday morning. I call back Monday morning and am told sometime between 8am and 12pm. I call two more times trying to get an update and again am told I will get a call back. Then a technician calls me telling me he's on his way. He immediately calls me back to tell me that he has been re-routed to someone else instead. I call three more times trying to understand and to get an update as to when another technician is going to show up - I receive zero calls back. It is now 2pm and still can't get a simple response out of anyone. I have two babies under 2 years old in this house and three dogs. I pay you $30 / month for two preferred partner subscriptions and I can receive neither (i) service within three days (ii) nor the simple courtesy of a call to let us know you will be missing the window allotted, let alone the fact that you won't be showing up at all that day (or the following day) promised. Unbelievably terrible service, and an utter waste of $1,004 over the past 36 months.

I will never use this company again. I called and asked them to come out to do an inspection of my HVAC system. They did that, he did it well, it was only $89 (but he gave me the wrong price twice before). He spent quite a bit of time hard selling me on the maintenance plan, which I repeatedly said NO to. Then a week later I get this invoice proposal. No description, nothing, just two lines: HS-OPTION *1* $ 3,409.45 HS-OPTION *2* $ 746.47 I emailed them back, why? What? No answer. A few days go by. They send it again. So I called. I got a VIRTUAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT - LITERALLY an AI system pretending to be someone in Asia with background sounds, etc. It was so infuriating and insulting I was in utter disbelief. I had to ask for a human three times before it "transferred" me to a "staff person" who.. wasnt' available. So the system said we'll call you back. First, I didn't ask for the proposal. I didn't agree to or request anything. Second, WTF a virtual digital assistant masquerading as a human?! This was a good experience turning into very, very poor customer service. FH Furr did good work in the past, but now their customer service is turning into Comcast and has completely soured me on the company.

The wheels have fallen off this company since it was sold to Apex Service Partners. They're now an incompetent disaster with techs who will quietly admit the company is a shell of what it once was. We had an electrician come out when our garage sub-panel was tripping. The tech openly complained about who replaced the breakers on the main panel and suggested he could "do it right" for a service fee. The issue? Not only was the breaker work done by FH Furr only 90 days prior, the tech that was mocking the prior tech forgot he WAS the one who did the breaker work. He was literally calling his own work (done three months prior) shoddy. And their annual service plan has become a joke. It used to get preference for emergencies - now, it gets about the same level of response as any non-service plan call. A full power outage and they said it would take 3-4 days to come out. And, as many have called out in reviews, the annual service plan is merely an upsell ploy to get you to replace things sooner than is actually needed. AVOID. This isn't your "granddad's FH Furr".

What started out as an issue with water acidity exposed a problem with the iron filter on my well. Allen came out to the house and assessed the problem and called on Jacob as the problem was larger than just adjusting the system. Jacob adjusted schedule and came out. After identifying the problem he gave me pricing on removing the 25 year old iron filter and adding an equivalent and also addressed a problem with sediment. I didnt expect the visit to be so big a job and Jacob had to go get parts. It was 5pm by time he had everything at the house and, with a smile, he was ready to install and stay 2 to 3 hours past his work schedule. He never griped or indicated any distress with having to work late. He did a great job of removing the old filter and putting the new one in place with all the plumbing changes associated. The new filter looks like it was there from the start. As always, Furr really has a talented team that does goodlooking quality work.

I had an excellent experience with this plumbing service. Trace Robinson, our technician, was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in a way that was clear and easy to understand, even for someone like me with no plumbing background. I really appreciated his patience in answering all of my questions without making me feel rushed or overwhelmed. Trace provided detailed estimates and walked me through each item that needed repair or replacement, explaining why it was necessary and what it would involve. Everything was presented in a straightforward, transparent way, which made it easy to feel confident in the decisions being made. Not to forget mentioning, he also quickly repaired our broken shower pipe helping to deter further issues of a leak. Overall, the service was professional, thorough, and customer-focused. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!

A sh*tshow of a company: terrible!!! I have FH Furr a 2nd chance and scheduled a tune up of our HVAC system. I received a text the night before regarding the appt. I took off from work to be home during the visit. I received 3 additional texts confirming the appt to which I replied to. I inquired about 3pm bc no-one had shown up and it was getting late. I received a text minutes after telling me that they couldn't get a hold of me. I called dispatch only to be met by a digital assistant. I finally got a hold of a human but he had no answers; just that he would escalate. The evening came and went and still never had back. I get a voxmail today telling me to call to schedule my appt. I called but the rep hung up on me. I called back and explained that I was hung up on....her only response "not me". Sigh. I'll be moving on to a different company.
