JAMES replaced my kitchen faucet and did an excellent job. Just wanted to put in a good word for him because he was very thorough and friendly and efficient.. I would highly recommend him!!!
James was an excellent technician & fixed the problem quickly. He offered some suggestions to ensure that the problem shouldn’t happen again in the future. We appreciate him coming out on the weekend & he was pleasant to deal with. A great guy!!!
I had a sewer backup and discovered that my sanitary pipe had separated just outside my foundation wall. Armando came out around 5 p.m. on Monday and explained everything clearly, assuring me they could fix it the next morning. True to his word, his team completed the repair within just a couple of hours. Armando and his crew were efficient, friendly, and most importantly excellent communicators throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Elk Grove Village Sewer and Plumbing!

Below is the review I posted on google for this business. I can see this review when I login to my account, but this review does not show up on their google profile. I will reach out to google to find out why my review is not showing up on their profile and if there is a violation, I would like to what exactly is the violation. The review below is a very honest and truthful review. We installed quartz countertop in our kitchen recently, so we needed a plumber to redo the plumbing lines below the sink. I looked at all the positive reviews and decided to call these guys to get a quote. I was given a ballpark quote of $220 for removing and $220 for installing the plumbing lines, and the plumber will have to visit the site to provide an accurate estimate. Makes sense. Before the installers came I went under the sink and removed all the connections myself, it took me half an hour (After I removed the connections myself, I felt like this should just be 10 minutes job for a plumber). The plumber came in after the countertops were installed, looked at everything and was like... hmm... you have an under-mount kitchen sink, it will be very hard to install garbage disposal without doing any work arounds, I will have to cut into the drywall and move the lines back bla bla bla. The entire job he said will cost me $560, which sounded ridiculous to me. I thanked him for coming and decided to get second opinion. I'm glad I didn't trust him and went for second opinion. So I called another certified plumber with more than 20 years of experience. He came in and I explained him what I was told by previous plumber... he just couldn't believe what he heard. This "experienced" and "honest" plumber finished all the work in an hour. For the next 3 hours he replaced 3 toilets in my home. For all of this work he charged me just $400 (this charge includes 1/2 hp garbage disposal, soap dispenser, plumbing fittings, wax rings). These guys I'm sure would have definitely quoted me upwards of $2000. I'm giving these guys 2 stars just because the plumber came to my home and gave a free estimate, even though he tried to rip me off. One of the plumbing company I called wanted $49 just to visit and provide an estimate. I just can't and will not recommend these guys to anyone. Always get a second opinion.
Water heater was leaking they came out that day to assess May 5, 2020. Came back May 6, 2020 to install new water heater. Have not had a functioning bathtub/shower yet. All I get are empty promises of them coming back to fix. Even had EGV Public Works our to check the B Box which the plumber should have never opened and pressure is good at 42. 2 Reps from the village have called them to advise that this is unacceptable and they need to fix ASAP. this did nothing to solve the issue. Do her we sit an 80 year old woman with congestive heart failure, diabetes and COPD left with no way to bathe other than a sponge bath in the sink. BRAVO. Village Sewer. Do you force feed Diabetics candy canes to? Should we be looking for one in the mail? Totally fed up and disgusted with this whole situation 5/8 called talked to Claudia she said why do you need him to come back now Miss Debbis my response due to my still not having a functioning /bathtub. I tell him and have him stop by. That was the last we saw of him. He came out relaxed shut off valve opened the b box and sailors leaking I will have Colleen call the Village on an emergency call out to fix. No action. I place a ticket with the village on Sunday May 10, 2020 this was the first they knew of the problem. They were out twice. Checked the b box no issues and checked the water pressure and no issues. They even pulled the meter flushed the line checked the shutoff valve and all internal faucets. They said it is definitely something that happened with the water heater replacement. Called Monday May 11, 2020 talked to Claudia said as soon as she had was Wednesday May 13, 2020 from 2-4 said okay. Village called them and told them that was unacceptable and needed someone that day. Claudia called back and told me someone would be there May 11, 2020. Sadly a no show. No one showed on May 12, 3020 either. I called again on May 13, 2020 to confirm our argot 2-4 was told by Judy we were not on the schedule for that day. I asked how that was possible as Claudia told me on Monday I had an appointment from 2-4?? She stated it looks like she never put us on?? Judy assured me Ryan would be here on May 14, 2020. How sorry she was this happened. I won't keep you in suspense as I am sure you figured out Ryan never showed up. So now we are at day 8 with no functional bathtub 5:14 Colleen and Ryan were just here. Ryan used compressed air and blew it through the shower head and the spout and the pressure returned to normal. The shower still would not go on so he replaced the spout and we now have a fully functioning shower.
Called last week Thursday to schedule this company to come and take a look at my showers as they would leak when we would use them. The earliest they could see me was Monday afternoon between 4 - 6, which I was fine with. Monday rolls around and by 6:15 pm there was no plumber nor was there even a courtesy call stating why the plumber was not there yet. Tried calling the office (even though on Google it states they are open 24 hours) it would send me to a strange outgoing message with no options to speak with someone. Found this company's Facebook page and sent a private message explaining the situation. They were apologetic and around 6:50 pm I get a call from the plumber, Ryan. He apologized and stated he was currently at a site, it was taking longer than expected and his phone was in his truck. I understand jobs may take longer than expected, but not even a courtesy call to explain this? I told him I had the claim adjuster coming the next day between 2 - 4 and wanted to give the adjuster an idea of what the problem was. Ryan stated he would be at my house at 2 pm and I didn't need to call the office he already told them. Next day I called the office a little before 2 to confirm what Ryan stated. They had no record of me on the schedule or of the situation that occurred the night before and asked if I would mind holding. After about 5 mins I was told Ryan was at a job in Elk Grove and would be at my house sometime after 3 pm. At 3:15 pm I received a call from the office stating he would be at my house within 20 - 30 mins, which at the latest would be 3:45 pm. By 4:15 pm still not there I called the office to let them know he wasn't there and to cancel the appointment since I had somewhere else to be. Denise from the office apologized, but in a non-sympathetic kind of way and did not even try to rectify the situation, maybe send another plumber right away or something else. Very frustrating situation, but in the end it worked out. I found a different company that came out the next day, told me what the issue was (leaking soap dish in the wall) and did not even charge me for the visit. Still in disbelief at how unprofessional this company was all around.
Back home from local shopping; Half-bath floor devastatingly flooded seeping into adjoining room. Colleen said somebody would be out asap. Armando was here within the hour to work intensely at unclogging the hardest part of the sewer, from the clean-out access to half-way in the crawl space having to change to special high pressure power equipment, still being unable to go further. He then called me to observe, via the camera cable, the reason for the overflow: The original age-related deteriorated sewer pipe collapsed from the rush of washing machine-pumped drain water from one end to the muddied, fully clogged collapse at the other. Now, here comes my maintenance penance for 'what you can't see or hear is no problem.' OML...Integrity lives...Rather than the complete trench-and-tunnel cost I feared, thankfully came relief from an alternate much less costly repair-offer suitable for houses with a crawl space. Armando explained the procedure, and after confirming with the office, he and Colleen gave us orders to use the front bathroom only- anything else, ...until he and his crew return early in the morning to start repairs; but if the end of day doesn't come until well into the night they'll finish until the only thing left is for them to return when they can to merely clean and organize. The cost was discounted and the immaculate workmanship was done by a specialized crew. I'm sorry for the lengthy review but having lived in this house for fifty-two years I have never experienced service from a contractor close to that of Village Sewer & Plumbing. I want to express a deserving gratitude for their excellent performance. Tony Savino Elk Grove Village

I wouldn't recommend this company because of my experience with their pricing practices. All I needed was a simple replacement of the water heater control panel. I was even providing the control panel. Long story short, plumber shows up, sees the simple job and says that it will be $285.00 to install the control panel. I said okay, seems a little high, but said go ahead and do the work. Around halfway through, he said oh no, this might go to $320 now because there are some parts he has to use. At this point, that seemed strange because I was supplying the control panel and he hadn't used any parts except for a little bit of putty and tape, but I said okay. More time goes by and the plumber says I need a new section of gas pipe to the control panel because the one being used is too short. I said okay, thinking that was the extra parts he was talking about to get us to $320. By the end of the repair, he said with all the parts, the bill is now $390. I don't know how we went from $285 to $390 when the only part used was a $10 section of gas pipe (and he took the old one with him). He also had me help him during the repair, which I thought was kind of strange as well. The invoice I received was a one line invoice showing the bill and he gave me a deal and only ended up charging me $385 (Thanks!). I think it is ridiculous for something that is a very simple repair to go up in price by $100 or more when there is nothing to "uncover" or nothing that can make this repair more complicated. I do not recommend using them unless you want to pay 50% more than what they originally quote you.
I needed to replace the toilet in my EGV condo. After researching several plumbers in my town, I decided to go with Elk Grove Village Sewer & Plumbing after reading several good reviews. I'm not handy (one reason I prefer condo-living), so I completely depend on the expertise and quality craftsmanship of the contractors I select whenever I need work done. I told Judy I didn't have a lot of experience with plumbing, and I am very particular about everything--especially since I live on the 3rd floor (I really wanted to make sure everything would be perfect since I have 2 neighbors living below me)!!! Anyway, she assigned Joe (Jed) for my job, and I couldn't be happier!!! He took his time and explained everything in detail to me. He was very particular and thorough which I greatly appreciated. After a spending a short time with him, all of my worries about replacing my toilet went away! He even said with pride that installing toilets was his specialty, and I was so happy and thankful I found him! I could tell immediately that he knew what he was doing with expert precision that only years of experience brings. My bathtub was draining slowly, so he rodded that for me and now it works great! Joe was very careful in my home, clean and friendly. During the entire process, he made sure everything worked fine and was left clean after he finished. If you want a great plumber you can trust, I highly recommend Joe (Jed) and Elk Grove Village Sewer & Plumbing. In a few weeks, I'm going to have him replace my bathroom and kitchen sinks since I had such a great experience!
Professionalism - Explained everything clearly and in detail. On time - Came 45 min before time promised Good Quality - Professional quality work and cleaned up afterwards. Responsive - Answered all questions. Good Value - GREAT VALUE.(They actually said how much they paid for the part and how much was the labor.... Before I start apologies for a long review but its much deserved. I am not very good in leaving reviews but in this digital age its a must when someone does a great job as well as when they screw up. Good for accountability and keeping honest. So Couple weeks ago I had water in the basement due to a faulty Ejector pump and it was raining heavy as well. Next day I started calling companies to get a quote. The price quotes ranged from $950 to $2000. Also every company I called from charged $45 - $75 to come and give an estimate and this is after I told them what I needed done. After calling many companies and finally setting an appointment with one I decided to give Elk Grove Village Sewer and Plumbing a call as I saw their van pass my house. They said they don't charge anything extra for an estimate also they gave me a quote for ejector pump that was $300 less. Needless to say I went ahead with Elk grove Village Sewer and Plumbing and was extremely happy with their service and professionalism. ABSOLUTELY will use them for any future needs as well as will tell family and friends about them as well. Great people and great company. THANK YOU!.
we just had Elk Grove Sewer out to help us with a back up we had in the house - the other day when running water (and after flushing a toilet) water came up out of the utility room drain in the floor seeing it back up that way we didn't feel comfortable trying to fix it ourselves and felt better having it looked at by a professional..... so we looked for recommendations and a friend gave us the Elk Grove info... called and got a quote on the phone - they came out the same day!!! Joe was our man (and from reading other reviews sounds like he IS the guy! :) we were VERY happy with Joe he was very polite and informative explaining in detail every step he was doing AND giving us background info on things how they work as well - he said it was a sewer issue and went out to the opening in the lawn and rodded out the line like 3-4 times - very thorough making sure to get everything - we had some root issues and also were given some treatment to help with that as well as recommendation for maintenance for a bit to make sure what type of roots we are dealing with. Again SO professional and VERY polite - making sure we fully understood everything - i don't think i have ever seen anyone so thorough before - and the price was what we were quoted for - we can rest knowing it was done right and problem solved - i would not hesitate to use them again in the future - I really liked Joe!
Utterly disappointed with their service and treatment of customers. I had a clogged toilet. First visit - tried to sell me a new toilet for $700 (which they eventually discounted to $550) but I declined. Said I had a cracked flange but wasn't a big deal. They removed the toilet from the base, fixed the clog, and put the toilet back on the base. Used two wax rings and told me the toilet would "settle" and to sltighten base bolts and clean up wax that oozes out. Cost me $150. Toilet was extremely wobbly and unsafe to sit on. Called them back for round two the following week. The same plumber came back, claiming it was because of the cracked flange - I pointed out that my toilet was rock solid on the base before he ever showed up. He got angry, called me a liar, and blamed me for the problem. He wanted another $200 to fix it. I ended up asking him to leave. Lesson learned? Round three will be me watching a DIY YouTube video... ***UPDATE*** 2/5/18 - Got a call back from Elk Grove Plumbing, very apologetic and accommodating. They sent Paul to correct the problem - he was in & out in less than 30 minutes. Paul was a master of his craft. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. I was very satisfied with his service. If there's ever a future need for plumbing service, Paul will be my go-to guy. Thanks for making it right Elk Grove Plumbing!
We were gone for the month of February and when we got home discovered an enormous water bill. Needless to say, WE HAD A LEAK. Worse yet, it was in the concrete slab. I've never had a plumber to the house before so I called a friend who suggested that I use Elk Grove Village Sewer and Plumbing (Village Sewer and Plumbing). I called them and the next day they showed up for an estimate and a time when they could start the project. Two trucks and three guys showed up to tackle the job. Paul was the lead guy. Terrific crew, very personable, friendly and very conscientious. The owner Joe, showed up half way through the job and put my mind at ease that everything would be done to our satisfaction. Another terrific guy. The leak was discovered and the repairs made. Once they left, quite a few hours later, I was exhausted just watching them. I can't imagine how they felt. Several feet of concrete had to be broken up to get to the leak. The great customer service didn't end when they left that day. I spoke to Colleen at the office and once again had a really great experience. This company is top notch. Nobody ever calls a plumber unless they need one, however, these guys were so nice, I just might call them up to chat or to even say, "have a nice day!" Thanks for everything. What a great company
