EJ Plumbing & Water Heaters

I could not be happier with the HUGE job EJ Plumbing did for me. My slow shower drain turned out to be caused by disintegrated plumbing under my 70-year old house (tree roots came up when they snaked the drain, ugh). Jonathan was extremely helpful in diagnosing it, and supervisor Ryan Kennedy came right away to work out potential solutions to a very extensive and expensive problem. Ryan and Jonathan used a camera with a tracker to trace the issue through the lines. No perfect options with rotting plumbing under a slab. They listened to my priorities and we agreed on the best, least invasive solution. They came out promptly to start the job - a whole team digging through my brick walkway and front yard to replace the outdoor line, followed by cutting into my drywall to spray an epoxy liner through my indoor lines. They were extremely careful, hardworking and professional. Best of all, they took such incredible care putting everything back, including my yard, drywall and checkerboard brick walkway. Above and beyond!!! I am so impressed. Very very happy with EJ's honesty, reliability, professionalism, skill and even artistry. I had used them before for a small, simple job but this was a huge, difficult effort and I could not be more pleased. We bought our tankless water heater from EJ Plumbing 2 years ago. And we had it serviced today for its annual maintenance. We've been loyal customers of EJ Plumbing. We love their prompt response, professionalism, clear communication and follow up. I have personally communicated with the company's owner, Danny, on numerous occasions and found him deeply committed to taking good care of his customers. Today's service was done by German who went above and beyond to make sure our water heater is fully serviced and as good as new.

EJ plumbing was great! We called Monday late afternoon (for a non-urgent issue) and got an appointment with Luis the very next morning. After considering our options we decided to replace the toilet that we had issue with. We ordered a toilet from Lowe’s and had it delivered that same day. Luis came back on Wednesday and installed the new toilet for us. The whole installation took less than one hour and we are very happy with the result! Would definitely use EJ plumbing for future needs!

On Wednesday March 4th, I corresponded via text messages with "Linda at EJ Home Services" and she arranged for a water hammer arrestor estimate to occur at my house in Sunnyvale on Friday, March 6th. She offered me two timeframes, 8-12 or 12-5, and I chose 12-5. Her last text said: "Sounds good... you're all set for Friday in the 12-5pm window. Thanks again, and we'll be in touch shortly to confirm the next steps." E & J did not appear in the 12-5pm window or at any other time. The estimate was not completed. EJ did not call, text or email me about anything. My time is valuable and I chose EJ to complete a simple estimate based on their reviews. Setting up the appointment, Linda at EJ sent me 13 texts which gave me assurance that they were thorough. As I squandered an afternoon waiting for them to show, I have now chosen not to patronize EJ and offer my story for your consideration. Beware of Chatbots.

Btw they sponsor both ads in Google and Yelp so don't be tricked into calling them like I did. They will definitely pass down the cost of these ad to you. Sometimes you know something is not right but you ignored the signs and you ended up paying for it. I found EJ because even though it was a sponsored result it has high ratings. When I called I realized that the receptionist is AI agent which is already weird because why would a local business need an AI agent. I also echo another reviewer that their "free" visit is NOT free. I had a water leak at my tenant's place. I'm out of town so I told the AI agent to contact the tenant instead of myself but I still keep getting calls. After he finally arrived, the guy quoted me $298 to open the wall which they do not patch up unless I pay for the $479. Note that it's a wall that they opened to investigate the problem. Btw it turned out they didn't need to open up the wall because they could have found out the problem if they had just opened the shower on/off trim cover. Finally the guy quoted me $2900 to change the leaky valve plus patching the two holes they would have opened (including the one they opened in my kitchen ceiling). When I asked for discount, they made the $298 for opening the first hole would be credit back as if it's a discount. After a lot of "oh I can't give more discount" I got an additional $200 off of the $2900 price. Even in the Bay Area the price is ridiculous. I finally decided not to go ahead even with the $298 loss I'd incur for a hole they opened and will not patch up.

We had a pipe that needed to be replaced in our yard and EJ Plumbing did an amazing job. We reached out to a few companies for quotes and EJ Plumbing beat the most competitive offer. They were transparent about the work they were doing and I appreciated that they took the time to thoroughly answer our questions at every stage of the process, while diagnosing the issue, before booking, and during the job. The day of, they arrived right on time and were able to replace the pipe in a day. All of the technicians on site were friendly and professional. Considering the location of the pipe, they had to take out a section of our patio and our planter. I was nervous because I figured we would have to bring someone else to fix our yard up when they were done. What impressed me the most is that they put our patio back together and rebuilt the planter. When they were completely done, our yard looked just like it had before they started. And of course, now or pipe is fixed and we haven't had any issues since they have been here. I already the confident in their services because of the long warranty period. I highly recommend EJ for plumbing work and they will not be the first company I call if we ever have another plumbing issue.

Update - April 2026: I wanted to take a moment to share another experience with EJ's Plumbing and Husam Khan, who recently provided outstanding service at my home. Husam did a fantastic job installing a new water heater, fixing a leaking kitchen sink, and repairing an outdoor spigot. Throughout the process, Husam demonstrated a great attitude and was always professional and courteous. The quality of his work was exceptional, and I felt confident in his expertise from start to finish. It was clear that customer satisfaction was a priority for him, and I truly appreciated his attention to detail and willingness to answer all my questions. If you’re looking for reliable plumbing services, I highly recommend EJ's Plumbing and Husam Khan for their excellent workmanship and positive approach. Review from 2025: I had a wonderful experience with Angel from EJ Plumbing! He was not only fast and reliable but also incredibly kind throughout the process. A special shout out to EJ Home Services for their quick response to a leaking water heater over the weekend. A very knowledgeable and professional representative, Christian, immediately responded and arrived promptly to address the problem. He dismantled the old heater and replaced it with a Bradford White heater since that is the brand I wanted. While dismantling the old one, he placed the order for the new water heater that quickly arrived and was installed. He instructed me about all features and how to maintain it. The area was cleaned and the old heater hauled away. He also made some recommendation for my plumbing issues related to the pipes under my house that are very old and need to be replaced. This company is outstanding in customer service. Prices are very reasonable & safety upgrades excellent. I highly recommend EJ for any of your home service needs.

We had a blockage of the floor drain in our ADU bathroom.Technician who came to my house ( for his privacy I will not mention his name) mistook the irrigation cleanup for the house plumbing clean up. After spending 2 and half hours, he realized that he was in the wrong place. Then he said he would need to remove the toilet to find the problem, even though the toilet and the plumbing that went to the toilet, clearly did not back up and had no problem. After spending another two and half hour and speaking several times with his supervisors, he charged me over $500 for removing the toilet while declaring that he could not diagnose the problem. It was extremely frustrating to spent the time and money without any resolution. The next day we used another plumber who found the blockage and cleared it.

I finalized deal with him on Thursday night and by the next morning the job was getting done I checked around and he was significantly cheaper than the competition. He also did a great job in replacing my water heater, Yeah well also disposing of the old system. There were a lot of add-ons discussed in amendments. Not once did he increase the price on me. If you want someone to do a great job at the best price, you’re safe with this place. Highly recommend. Elmer and Bartolo where are my technicians today, they left the place spotless and did a great job. Everything was seamless, professional, not a single hiccup.

We are so happy with EJ Home Services. We had an extensive pipe job needing to be done and they did an excellent job completing the huge project and were so kind, helpful and accommodating along the way… not to mention reasonably priced. When they finished the project in the yard, it looked like nothing had been touched and put everything back exactly like we had it (grass, plants, bushes etc). Kudos to Patty, Ben, Francisco, Edwardo, Chris and all the rest that were such a tremendous help in the new pipe install. Highly recommend and will refer to all our family and friends needing their services. Thanks again!

EJ Plumbing never disappoints. They usually come the same day I call and today was no different. German arrived and quickly diagnosed the reason our water heater’s pilot light was not staying lit. He gave me options for replacement and immediately went to work to replace. He was courteous, knowledgeable and did an amazing job, even cleaning out the closet before installing the new water heater. I also appreciated the time he took to show me the water and gas valves he replaced and a quick tutorial on operating the new water heater. Very thorough and tidy. Highly recommend!

Brought in EJ Home Services to help with some old leaky galvanized drain lines in our home. They did a thorough assessment of the issue and gave us some options. I appreciated their honesty and directness on how to best handle the situation. We came up with a plan and moved forward with the quote. At the last minute we had a couple issues to resolve on the quote and EJ worked with me to provide a great solution. The crew as extremely professional, quick, clean and respectful of our home. I wouldn't hesitate to bring them in again! Very happy with the work and the folks at EJ!

I had a horrible experience with EJ Plumbing. They came to fix my water heater but it stopped working again a few hours after they left. I had already paid them $770. Via text, Luis said I would get a refund but I have not received it yet (it has been over 5 weeks). NO ONE WILL RETURN MY CALLS OR TEXTS. They are completely ignoring me. What should I do - reach out to the Better Business Bureau? I am at a loss. Much of the time you only get AI and not a real person. When I do get a real person they promise customer service will call me but no one does.

I had EJ Home Services complete the annual flush/descale on my Navien Gas Water Heater. Reymundo, their technician was excellent. He kindly ran through the whole process with me so going forward I could probably do it myself. He also answered a few of our house related plumbing issues and provided a quote on additional services that we need. Everything was completed on time with minimal disruption. And the price was excellent compared to other quotes that I had received. Highly recommended.
