Ed Rike Plumbing Heating & Air

I have a home warranty that required me to use their plumbing company they contract with for my water heater replacement. I had a terrible experience - so much so that I chose to cash out so that I could use the plumbing company of my choosing. Of course I chose Ed Rike plumbing - I’ve used them before and had a wonderful experience. It was the same this time. Everyone at the office was pleasant and easy to work with. Ricky and his apprentice, Justin showed up to replace the water heater and were amazing. Ricky took the time to explain everything he had to do and why, which I really appreciated. He showed me all the ways he tested it afterward to ensure it was safely installed, which was also greatly appreciated. These guys are wonderful, hard workers, with integrity. It feels good to have a plumbing company be so transparent, honest, and caring! Will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to all my friends and loved ones!!!

One of the most positive customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time! From Becky who handled my initial call to Paul and Damien, the technicians who came to my home, the responsiveness and professionalism were top-notch. Had a really negative experience with another company who canceled final hour on a Friday afternoon, and Ed Riker Plumbing came the same day and went above and beyond. Five stars!

Ed Rike is the only plumbing company we will call. They have done work for us before on our well pump as well as a few other things over the years. Everyone they have ever sent out is top notch. Everyone is polite, very knowledgeable and they leave a clean area when finished. They are great with pets in the house as well. Their rates are not only good compared to other plumbing services, but the value in the quality of the folks they send makes it a bargain. Today we had Doug and I really can't say enough good about him. He was on time, and took time to explain what he was doing which I appreciate. He documented everything with photographs, and walked through everything he did. But again everyone they have ever sent is truly best in class. If you are debating who to call for a project or an emergency, do yourself a favor call this company.

I do not recommend this company, at least the Miamisburg one. I feel I was excessively overcharged… for little repairs completed. And, almost a scam in stating a total of $470 .. saying I was given a half hour taken off and a 25% discount, which means the cost would have been even more scandalous.. Find someone much more professional and customer friendly.. These people are not that!

Called early on a Saturday morning 11/30. The woman answering the phone said the rate was higher for weekend work could I do it Monday 12/2. I said that would be fine. Monday comes and they're a no call no show. Never heard from them at all for 2 a half days. So I call another plumber on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. they were in my house and job completed at 4:30p.m. I would give zero stars if I Could.

The plumber came to the house. He was on the phone when I opened the door. He walked into my home... still on the phone. He went upstairs to the bathroom to look at the issue still on the phone. He got off the phone to hear me describe the problem. He took another phone call. When he was done with the phone conversation, he offered to remove drywall to diagnose the leak-- and remediate mold caused by the leak. (I had the plumber come because I wanted a defective shower pan removed.) The chap was extraordinarily rude and arrogant. Most importantly, he didn't listen very well. The pan was clearly causing the leak, and the plumber's idea did not address the issue. The plumber spoke badly about Nixco Plumbing during the visit... out of context and unsolicited. Even though I agreed with his opinions because Nixco was dismissive and offered a quote that was nearly predatory, Ed Rike's plumber's behavior warranted this review.

From the moment the receptionist answered my call I felt that I was being treated with the up most priority. After discussing our situation they were able to send out the right technicians for the job. Ricky and Justin were professional and asked the right questions. Ricky's initial prognosis was dead on and saved us a ton of work. Within an hour we knew the issue and their team at the office was able to get us a tanker truck to take care of the issue the same afternoon. For new customers we want to send a big thanks for the 5 STAR treatment. We're very Grateful and we can highly recommend Ed Rike Plumbing.

Ricky came to our home on time and as promised. He evaluated our outside faucet that had been leaking. He came inside our home to look at the piping. He was courteous and put on booties every time he came inside the home. He provided a cost of the replacement cost. Once I told him to do the work , he was helpful and worked diligently. I was very happy with his work and attention to details and left our home carpets in the same condition that were there before. He cleaned up thoroughly and was pleasant to work with. I would recommend highly to anyone needing Plumbing work.

I had Ed Rike Plumbing come out to replace old pipe and install a whole house water filtration system. Justin was the plumbers name and he was absolutely amazing. He walked me through what needed to be done and what could wait. He quickly fixed what was wrong and explained why it was wrong. He installed my filter and explained everything I would need to know about it. I would definitely recommend him and this company to anyone in need. Thank you Justin and Ed Rike Plumbing.

Hands down the best experience I’ve had with any plumbing company. Ricky by far made our experience pleasant in a time of disaster! He went above and beyond working till 11 pm to solve our issue on a holiday weekend and made us feel like family; hell he took the time to teach me a couple tricks. Ask for Ricky with your next plumbing problems you won’t be disappointed.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Nathan, Doug, Don, and AJ . I just bought a house and it had some plumbing issues and I needed HVAC service, and these guys are the best! I called , they scheduled me, and came out right away, very courteous very knowledgeable and I will never call anyone but them. Ed Rike plumbing and HVAC is the best!

Fantastic service! We called in the morning about a leak in our water heater and by 2pm they sent Doug out to our house who diagnosed our issue and completely took out and reinstalled a new water heater for us (the old one was rusted beyond repair) all in about 2 hours by himself. Will definitely call again for any more needs!!

Elijah came to hook up our ventless gas fireplace insert. He did an amazing job, was professional, kind, prompt, and very personable. Price was extremely reasonable. He even wore boot covers to avoid dirtying the floor! Call Ed Rike’s and request Elijah! Will be using this company in the future.

Ricky was the technician that came to my home. The inside water valve was leaking badly and I was concerned that it could potentially burst and flood my condo. Ricky is a true professional and definitely knows what he is doing. He is very courteous and I would recommend Ricky to anyone.

I am not one to leave reviews however, I had to call two young men to my house on a Saturday due to a backed up septic. They were amazing, professional, helpful and did not cost an arm and a leg. They saved my day and my septic. I will absolutely be including them on my speed dial!
