Highly recommend Duckett Plumbing. David the technician called notifying me he was on his way and arrived on time. Understood the issue I was having and got promptly to work. Was even able to get me a discount since I had the necessary parts and was doing the same repair on separate faucets. Very professional and personable in his manor.

We needed plumbing work done soon and they were able to come to the house the same day and completely finish the work that needed to be done. They came after 6:00 pm pumped the septic tank and made a baffle and was done properly around 8:30 pm. We are very pleased with them!!!!

I had a leak in my kitchen free standing ice maker, of course, on a Sunday night at 7:30pm. The leak was substantial and I was in a panic! I called Duckett Plumbing because their website said that they would respond to urgent situations. I called several places, and Duckett called me right back and service personnel were at my house within 45 minutes. (I live in Greenwood, SC and they were coming from Anderson SC.) William was the service provider and he was wonderful. He quickly got the water off and found the problem. He came even though no businesses were open to provide needed parts. He was able to turn off the water to the ice maker only, so that we still had water. Life saver!! He got the situation controlled last night and then came back this morning to replace the leaking hose in the ice maker and under the house. He was efficient and skilled and very kind. I could not ask for better service! The price was very reasonable considering the timing and how quickly he was able to address the issue. That leak could have ruined my entire kitchen flooring, not to mention that it was also leaking in the crawlspace under the house. I will rate them as many stars as possible!! Great response time!! Great service personnel!! I am so thankful!

We had an outside faucet break. Duckett was first to respond, which was appreciated. “We charge $75 to come out but discount it if you want us to do the job.” Fine. They come out and look at the faucet and pipe and say $500. We needed it done so hesitant but OK. When paying I asked to have that broken down. One explanation was that Google charges them $180 for the search service when someone searches with Google online. We need to pay their overhead. I owned a business and know that’s not the way to cover overhead. Using AI to search for Google fees I find out that the usual fees range from $15 to $50 per lead! The work was good, hence two stars. But charging me $180 for a $15-$50 charge to them is not right. We needed it done but won’t be using them again.

I called Duckett Plumbing Saturday morning and what a mistake it was to call this crazy outfit. My original problem was one toilet flushed and the other toilet recedes to low water levels and vice versa. Duckett sent George at 12:57 pm and he worked about 1 hour and 15 minutes but was there 8 plus hours and didn't fix a single thing. George lost his keys twice and tools and spent most of his day wrecking my piping even used his legs and fist to hit the piping as he was so weak shape and ended up breaking the PVC piping in each toilet where connected to the wax ring hinge above the floors. George was unprofessional and smoked cigarettes most of the day and took breaks every 25 minutes. George had no real idea what he was doing so I called his boss to discuss further but took him over 2 hours to get started on the job. When completed we had two leaking toilets and pipes and George called William his boss to discuss more money. What a surprise and a real rip-off company. Called William his boss back and he agreed to come out and look at the issue but this time he had 3 other guys to fix the issue fast as they were running behind schedule. Arrived Sunday morning and supposedly fixed the issues. To no avail instead of fixing the issue left and went and purchased two wax rings for each toilet that George destroyed. Installed new PVC piping for both back to back toilets beneath the crawl space. When completed the caulking around the toilets looked horrible and later in the day the back wax ring was already leaking around the edges of the toilet from poor installation procedures. The experience 12 hours later was horrible. Called and talked to John about the issues and he said don't call and harass us and told me that I don't listen. Duckett is not worthy of a business if they treat consumers like this and act as if they are helping you but in reality just want your money. Day 3 called Ace Plumbing to come check Duckett's work and lord and behold we have a winner. Ace not only fixed the issue but is a great company and very nice to everyone. Ace took up both toilets and found both wax rings installed incorrectly and also the base ring the toilet sits on wasn't level as William just placed to hide any damage caused by George. Ace Plumbing tech went below and found the round pipe at the top of middle bathroom was cracked and was also leaking from above and all this had to be replaced and fixed. The total experience was bad. The worst plumbing experience I ever had and this shows the pandemic laziness and entitlement still exist today. I wasn't charged anything but did end up costing me almost 2000 for repairs with two other plumbers.

Long story here...COMPLETELY UNHAPPY with this company. Like the review dated 1/7/25, I would also give zero stars if possible. The communication was non-existent. Scott, (owner or employee, I don't know) insists we received a written quote and that we paid a deposit. He insists they don't start a job without a written quote and deposit. Well, guess he can't say that anymore because we did not receive a written quote nor did we pay a deposit. His story of what happened during a grinder pump install is completely off base in actual events. In the end, we paid over $8,173 for a job that required a pump actually costing $3,213. If you do the math, that means we paid $4,960 in labor for a job started around 10:00 am on a Monday morning and was completed at approximately 2:30 that afternoon. Scott said there were 3 techs for 7 hours and one tech for 2 hours. What it actually was is two men in and out, job complete. A third guy was here not more than 2 hours and another (turned out this was Scott) was walking around our yard with a phone in his ear. One guy also left our job to go and "check on another job". One of the techs was a 2-day on-the-job trainee, who, by the way, was instructed to dump the contents of the sump on an empty lot next door to my home, which is completely illegal. Scott also denys this. So for a job that took, per our watching the clock, rounding 5 hours. I must interject here that our job was checked out on Sunday with a tech here for about 1/2 hour. He stated he thought the pump was shot and they would be out on Monday to do the job. No written quote; no deposit. Techs were on the job on Monday as promised. Knowing nothing about a grinder pump, we thought we were too far into the job to start looking around for another company nor did we think we needed to. We trusted Duckett Plumbing to be someone to do business with. So, in closing, we tried discussing this with Scott who, in no uncertain terms, deny's everything that happened and insisted we knew in advance the price. Yes, we knew the pump price which was a verbal statement given by Jon. We never expected to have Duckett Plumbing add on almost $5,000 in labor. That came as a complete surprise to us with no discussing it with Scott. We are wrong; he is right. I'm sure Scott will not be happy with this one. But no worries for me because I will NEVER call on them again nor recommend them. Our plans are to discuss this with an attorney. Don't know what that outcome will be.

Duckett Plumbing has been on my mind for one week now. When we had a grinder pump issue, Duckett Plumbing answered John's call right away and came out shortly after, on a Sunday afternoon. The rep tried a few things, said they needed to wait until Monday when the parts store will be open. They came out right away Monday morning and had the grinder pump replaced and all operating quickly. One would think we would be happy customers. No, nope, not so much. The bill for about 5 to 6 hours actual work, all hours included, came in at $8,423. We emailed them, asking for some cost adjustments, such as: (1) waste matter extracted from basin. Cost $500. A trainee on the job for 2 days did that task and took approximately 1/2 hour. (2) digging trench for wire and putting in new fuse $786.00. At most, this took one hour. (3) labor to install pump $3,200. Two men in and out, job complete, took approximately 5 hours. A 3rd man was here, in and out, not more than 2 hours. He left to check on another job. A 4th man was here, walking around the yard with a phone stuck to his ear. (4) replumb $624.00. I'm sure that was part of the price for the tech labor. Double billing? In our estimation, we were obscenely overcharged for their labor charge and waste removal. (5) The original quoted price had a pump price of about $4,600 but the actual price was $3,213. The final bill did not reflect the lower pump price. So those dollars were just absorbed into their bottom line. After doing some research, in our estimation we were overcharged about $1,900 plus $1,387 difference in actual pump price and this total does not reflect refunding some tech labor charges. So, would we ever use or recommend Duckett Plumbing to anyone? Not even to our worse enemy. Do your research before having work done. Duckett had a four star rating when we Goggled them. Have no idea who rates companies on Goggle but I know not to trust that next time!

RUDE, DISHONEST, THREATENING AND UNPROFESSIONAL! And I am being nice! We called Duckett out to resolve a single issue - a leak - which appeared to be coming from our daughters bathroom above our master closet. Long story short - they did not locate the leak, they made a costly and unnecessary "repair" and left the leak unresolved. Throughout the "repair" the technician (William) left open the door for charging more for the actual repair (leaking shower valve) and tried to sell my wife on dry wall repair services to the tune of $400. The technician was also caught in a lie stating he told my wife we could just put an access door for $60. When we called and spoke with the owner he was extremely rude and confrontational, would not let me speak and said if I didn't answer all his questions he would hang up on me. He finally agreed to send someone out to do an assessment to determine the source of the leak (which wasn't done properly the first time) and repair it at no charge as long as we paid for the parts, which we agreed to. The morning of the appointment, he cancelled on us citing a note my wife made on the square transaction stating the repair wasn't complete. This note, which is not visible by anyone other than us and him, cannot be altered or removed. He refused to come out unless we removed this note and threatened to sue us if we posted any negative reviews. Bottom line, stay away from this company. They have an F rating with the BBB (link below), citing they didn't provide their LLR licensing information, and they use a BBB Accredited Business Logo when they are not one. The only reason why they have positive ratings online is because they threaten to sue people who leave negative reviews. We will be filing a complaint with LLR as we will not be threatened or intimidated from telling the truth! https://www.bbb.org/us/sc/greenville/profile/plumber/duckett-plumbing-co-llc-0673-90031668

My son recently inherited a 1945 mill home from his grandparents. The home needs a complete rehab, but we were looking to make it livable until the spring. It’s in a very small town and plumbers willing to take the job are limited. From the very first phone call late on a Friday afternoon about a big water leak, to the completion of the job, Duckett Plumbing exceeded my expectations. These guys are so knowledgeable. They provided me with solid options based on our needs and budget. Wayne was the best! He completed all the work on our very necessary bathroom fixes. New toilet, new shower fixtures and new shower surround. He’s thoughtful of his work and provided the best customer experience. He went so far above and beyond what was requested. We had some scheduling issues because we were out of town for several days to move, but they stayed in contact to let me know how they’d accommodate the crazy schedule. Give Duckett plumbing a call. They are fantastic!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but potential users of this service need to know my experience. I called Duckett's to repair a hot water heater. They set up an appointment in a timely manner. A heating element was burned out and needed to be replaced. A 30 minute job. They charged $600 ! This is outrageous. Look at other reviews. Other customers were charged exorbitant prices as well. I don't mind paying a fair price for services rendered, but this was not reasonable. Get an estimate before they do any work. Owner says they rebuilt the water heater. All they did was replace the element. That isn't "rebuilding" it. And no, they never gave me an estimate before the work was started. All they gave me was the bill from the technician after the element was replaced. I understand overhead, employees etc. $600 for 30 minutes of work is not reasonable. Customers beware-- get an estimate before any work is started.

Overpriced. $765.00 for 3, 6in pieces of pex, Also removed 3 of my Shark Bite fittings, in which one was apparently "leaking," but removed the other 2 also, and wouldn't return them or the copper pipes that he replaced with pex to me when I asked the very next day. Called and requested them or requested a $35.00 refund for the cost of my fittings, or just replace them with ones that he keeps on the truck. Denied me. Said the customer has to request to keep their own pieces of property that belong to them or else they take them from the customer. That's theft. When does someone have to request to keep their own property?? Very rude, even calling me "stupid" in reply to my Google review. Bottom-feeder company. I'd stay away. Tech was nice, but the owner is horrible. With all the other 1-star reviews, it seems as if he hasn't learned good, honest, fair customer service. I have texts and photos.
