Outstanding service!!!! We had a bathroom sink problem that Alex was able to fix and fix quickly. Alex was on-time for the scheduled appointment, he was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If you have plumbing issues, I highly recommend Demmis Plumbing. I'm confident that you will be pleased.

On December 2, 2025, we had a sewer backup in the basement. Demmis Plumbing was called and they sent Alex. He was there in probably 30 minutes. Spent a few hours unclogging 2 drains and did an excellent job. For the amount of work Alex had to do, the price was very reasonable. Alex was very nice and friendly. I hope to never have to call a plumber again, but when I do, it will definitely be Demmis Plumbing.

We had a great experience with Alex who relocated our gas valve. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. Their service was reasonably priced. We would highly recommend Demmis Plumbing.

If you care about yourself or your family at all, please avoid them. They are great if you want newer things installed on top of a disaster. They clearly don't care about installing major plumbing on an infrastructure of twigs and tape. If you need to install something cheap and new to cover up rags, tape and rusted steel, they are your guys! If you see their sticker slapped on anything when looking at a new home/building (new to you) RUN!If your timeline needs things to look nice long enough for all the black mold covered disaster they're installing it to, give them a call. The cover-up discussion of my issues is hearsay, so I won't get into that although they're very logical. Their sticker slapped on everything that makes less sense than a five year old figuring a marble run kit, functionally, is more than enough to have solidified their role in these issues. I hope their dreams are filled with scents of sewage and mold spores eat away at their blood brain barrier till they build an impassible moat filled with their own grey water and refuse. if I could give zero stars I would. The woman who answers the phone is rude and condescending and seems uneducated. couldn't work a slurpie machine at 7-11. The plumber had to come twice to fix the problem, that's how he makes his money. if you want to be talked down to and ripped off, Demmis plumbing is right up your alley.

I contacted them because his name was on a sticker on the current sump pump and water heater at my mother's older home. Woman who I spoke to when scheduling was great...promised he would call prior to arrival (asked for this because elderly bedridden mother in living room). He did not. When he arrived, had an attitude immediately just because I asked who he was and if he was owner or assistant. Would not introduce himself and seemed to be irritated that I hadn't let him in yet. His truck did not have any signage on it, that's why I asked. He had been to the house before for the same repair apparently a year ago. He ran some kind of blower through the kitchen sink pipes, so that the sump pump would stop sending water from laundry and sump pump through both kitchen sink drains. This did nothing to stop the problem. Also had slow flushing on a toilet that he looked at and attempted to "fix" but eventually, even though he admitted it was slow and looked clogged, said nothing was wrong. He stuck a wire hanger through the little water holes in toilet bowl and used some kind of plunger or auger but again said nothing was wrong. He charged me a lot of money for his time, and did not fix a thing. Yes, our pipes are old and there's a mix of old and new pipes in the basement, but everything was when he still not working right when he gave me the bill and he knew it. Water was coming up through the kitchen sink just as it was before. Yet he charged me...definitely do not recommend for poor attitude and quality of work.

I found Demmis Plumbing through an add in my church bulletin. I called to schedule to get my kitchen sink unclogged (likely due to grease buildup). The woman I spoke with was very helpful and polite. I asked for an appointment on Tuesday, but had to switch it to this afternoon due to a work conflict. I asked if I could meet Alex at 5pm and told her that I thought that this would be a pipe replacement and that it might be a 2-4hr job. She didn't seem phased, and we scheduled the appointment, even though I thought we would need to do the work on another day. I was on time exactly at 5pm. The plumber was waiting. I told him that because the house is old (1954) I thought that the original drain pipe was likely corroded and blocking the flow with rust. I wanted to have the drain pipe replaced. He recommended rodding the pipe, but I thought that was a short-term fix and that I'd be doing this every year or two and thought that a new pipe was needed. I asked about the potential for a grease trap, and he said that is usually only for a commercial kitchen, and he thought he cost would be very high. He said ok decide: replace the pipe $460, or power auger $160. I asked for 2 minutes to text my wife when the last rodding was done. I suspected that it was less than 2 years. He would not wait. He said, decide now, or I'm leaving. So he left. I cannot comment on his workmanship, but I would not recommend him for his attitude. I left work early to meet him, and the problem is not solved.

My kitchen sink was stopped up. I called a local well known plumbing company. 2 of his men came out promptly. They told me that the sink needed to be rodded out and that it would cost $250.00. I agreed and they commenced to rod the line. They rodded the line 3 times and the sink still would not drain. The lead plumber said that the 2’’ sewer line in the basement was so clogged up that 10 feet of it needed to be replaced for $900.00. I paid them the $250.00 that I agreed upon even though the kitchen sink was still stopped up. I then called Demmis Plumbing this afternoon. Dan came to my home and I told him what the plumber this morning said. He just shook his head and said that no sewer lines needed replacing. He then rodded the line and within 10 minutes the kitchen sink drained perfectly. Dan also cleaned the mess up under the sink that the previous plumber left! If you need a great plumber at a decent fair price….call Demmis Plumbing! You won’t be sorry. I wasted $250.00 with the first plumbing company that I called, but it was well worth it because I found Demmis Plumbing!

I just wanted to clarify that my concern wasn’t about the service charge itself — we fully understand and did pay an emergency fee with another company. My hesitation came from how the issue was handled over the phone. The tone of the conversation, including the “hmphs,” “interesting,” and the way the problem was discussed, felt dismissive rather than compassionate. I completely understand that emergencies can be stressful, but professionalism and empathy make a big difference in customer experience. I wanted to share this feedback constructively, as I value good communication as much as quality service. I called Demmis Plumbing about 30 minutes ago (approximate time of 2:50pm cst) on Sunday , October 19th. The woman who answered the phone was completely unprofessional in tone and commentary (Not acceptable when working a professional business ) I was quite turned off by lack of professionalism and chose to go with a different company . Never had plumbing service at this company before , but was disgusted by customer service .

Palos Park- 1/15/24. In a condo- 2nd floor - Frozen pipes. So did my neighbor below me. My unit usually gets issues every year… but never called anyone and hoped for best. For the last 28 years! Never burst…. Downstairs NEVER froze, but today it did. I got scared cuz we are heading in for another - 9° night. This could be bad Called Demmis, expected to wait til tomorrow with all calls… good with that and understandable. Alex got to us in about 2 hours after calling. He freed the pipes to clear and found the source of cold air. Coming from the vestibule air vent - wide open!!!!! Air coming inside and Going up the duct work! Fixed the issue and now my Condo no longer has gushing cold air!! Great service, cares about the finding the source, courteous and Very reasonable prices! While I have used his services before and always pleased, Demmis plumbing is my and my neighbors #1 plumber for issues we need to have done. A+++++

We have used Demmis Plumbing on two occasions and will continue to call them for every plumbing issue here on out. Extremely respectful, reliable, and trustworthy family owned business. They helped us unclog our sewer line from baby wipes and most recently replaced our hot water tank. Both services were completed same day and efficiently. Being a stay at home mom, it is always intimidating having someone come work in our home while my husband is not around but Demmis Plumbing has always made me feel comfortable and as if they’re friends or family. They answer any and all questions while providing you with honest feedback and high quality work. They’re not sales men, they’re top of the line plumbers ready to fix the job and that can be hard to find these days. Cannot recommend them enough!!!!

I've worked on the inside of plumbing companies for many years and I can safely say that this is the best and safest place you can call within its service area (as big as it may be) for your plumbing needs. Some of these other plumbing companies are predatory and will leave your home in a bad spot overnight or for days. They may even cause problems to charge more money. But this company was early, fast, fair and courteous. Forgot his name I think it was David? Visited me and was the highest level of professional and experienced. Was done with reasonably priced ejector install in 1-2 hours and was consise and simple in communication. I think this company and their technicians are going a long way and their awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLUMBER When we needed a plumber and started looking and found the Demmis Plumbing ad on the back of our church bulletin at St. Andrew in Romeoville, IL offering a parishioner discount. We have used their services twice. Once last year for some routine Faucet replacements and to change out the on/off valves beneath the sinks. Dan came out and accomplished the task. His skills as a Master Plumber are very evident! This week our water heater went out. Again Dan came out on the day we called and replaced our water heater with a brand new Bradford White unit within a few hours. Again excellent work on both occassions. Highly recommened and would positively use them again.

We love this company! 4 years ago when we first moved to Lemont our water heaters went out. Demmis came right away and was able to replace them. Then shortly after our garbage disposal went out (the house has been a lemon) and they came right away and fixed that. Then our pipes clogged and again they came to the rescue. Now yesterday, Nicor decided to change out our meter and not tell us, and when they did this they didn't turn the gas back on. When we called Nicor they said we need to find a certified plumber to come out and turn it on. Demmis was there right away and got our gas back on. They have customers for life with us! Thank you so much for always being responsive and helpful!

Dan, the person that I just talked to is so rude, arrogant and condescending. I noticed the attitude during my first call. After talking to my wife, we decided to give them a call back and confirm a schedule. During the second call, I tried to follow up and confirm about the schedule, cost, warranties, and some safety assurances and property protection. Instead of getting the confirmations, Dan asked me if I want the installation done or not. I asked for the owner, and he told me that he is the owner. I got Demmis Plumbing number from St. Scholastica's parish newsletter, as I am a parishioner. Parishioners - this plumbing company is not good. Arrogant and rude!!
