Just had leaking pipe repair in kitchen and they just replaced our daughter Laura Bradford's garbage Disposal...I can't say enough positive things about them...so nice even woman in office...so friendly...excellent service neat and tidy...positive attitudes!!!thank you!!!

We are loyal customers. In the past, Martel plumbing replaced our water heater and fixed our leaky copper pipes. Lately there is a weird throttling when turning on faucet. My husband called in the morning and a technician arrived in an hour. Turned out its a stupid thing with our faucet valve. He didn't even charge us. They are local, fast reliable and honest. Truly the best in el dorado hills.

Great experience from beginning to end. My father-in-law had a great experience with them prior and recommended them. Zack was extremely helpful over the phone and quickly scheduled an appointment. (Other) Zach arrived right on time, gave me a fair quote for my leaking water heater, and said he could replace it right away. He replaced the water heater, walked me through everything afterward, and even showed me how to adjust the temperature. They went above and beyond by adding a drain pan that wasn’t there before and installing all new copper piping. The area around the water heater was even cleaner after they were done than it was when they started. Team at D. Martel are professional, punctual, friendly, and highly efficient. Definitely my new go-to plumbers. Highly recommended.

I called DMartel Plumbing on in December to seek specific service/product, etc. The technician that came out spent much of our conversation bad-mouthing competitors whom I won’t mention names, claiming they were unreliable to position their own service as superior. This felt manipulative rather than helpful. Despite clearly stating my needs and budget, they aggressively pushed an unnecessary upsell for bad mouthing the original installer. Then called the original installer and was told those parts aren’t needed. Then went the distance and called the manufacturer to further confirm these parts were not needed as DMartel pressured me by saying these guys ruined your warranty per manufacturer, premium add-ons costing $5,000! I walked away feeling pressured and distrustful. Companies should focus on honest service, not tactics that undermine trust. They’ve showed me they are actually afraid of these certain companies as these companies were correct and ultimately superior, and DMartel was/is not!

Called left a message , no call back at all. Gave my $5,000.00 business to another plumber your loss.

July 27, 2023 (Posting on behalf of my mother-in-law) I want to share a personal experience with D Martel Plumbing at my home in El Dorado Hills. Based on my experience with this company, I would not recommend using them. I strongly suggest you don't sign anything unless you have a complete breakdown of costs, parts, labor and any warranty. They want you to initial the price charged before they even open up the wall to see the problem or else they will leave. When I asked the technician for the complete breakdown, he informed me he didn't have all the prices and had to go back to the office to get them. I was leaving town the next day and didn't want to come home to a flood, so I initialed the price quoted to begin the work. I had a water leak in my garage under the water heater, which required replacing/installing a manifold and fittings on Kitech piping. The water leak was repaired. The work took less than 3 hours, and I was charged $1,735.00 I again asked for a complete breakdown of the costs. The technician said that the office would text me one in the morning. I found out the parts were $220.00, and labor was $1,515.00. The technician was very professional. I was shocked with the charge for labor and called the owners. I spoke with one of the owners, "Jackie" who was very rude and not business like. I asked my son to call her, as being a senior we are sometimes treated that way. He also talked with Jackie, and she was very rude to him and used foul language. She did not want to discuss this outrageous bill with anyone. Again, BEWARE of using D Martel Plumbing located in El Dorado Hills. Sharon

D. Martel Plumbing is fantastic! 5 stars! D. Martel Plumbing was contacted by my property manager when I reported a water leak in my hallway ceiling. The first plumbers who came found the leak but did not do repairs on pipes made of PEX material, as mine were. At this time, the leak was slow and not urgent. However, 2 days later, the leak sudden grew much worse and covered a 28 inch square spot on my ceiling. I sent a photo to my property manager and said the leak is now urgent and needs a plumber who fixes PEX pipes, and the PM called D. Martel Plumbing, who sent plumber Jason out that same day to investigate! Amazing prompt service. Jason was the hardest working guy, running back and forth from my hallway attic crawl space to my front porch to turn the water on and off again as he made the repair. He easily ran a mile just doing that, back and forth a few times, LOL. He said he runs 80 miles a year just doing his job. Amazing!! Who knew you had to be a marathon runner to be a plumber? Jason said he could fix it but needed a part that he did not have in his truck, so his boss raced over to my house with the part. During the repair up in the attic, Jason’s flashlight fell through the ceiling due to how soaking wet the drywall had become. Before Jason left, he cleaned up all the mess with a little broom and dustpan he carries, and taped over the hole so it would be safe for myself and my son while we waited for the ceiling to dry out and be repaired. Jason and D. Martel really did an outstanding job — they were prompt, thorough, and tidy! I highly recommend their services!

Several years ago on a Friday a tree root broke into our main water line to the house resulting in a substantial leak. Martel Plumbing was out on Monday to replace the broken section and the master valve which interfaces to the main water line. The cost was quite reasonable. Some time later we called them to replace the hose bibs around the outside of our house. They identified one instance where the previous owners had inappropriately used PVC piping for one of the risers; they rebuilt it with using copper and wrapped the new pipe with insulation and sealed it. Again, very professional work at reasonable cost. Last year, we developed a significant leak in the main valve assembly which services the household plumbing and also our front yard irrigation system. They rebuilt the entire assembly, insulated, and wrapped it. Really nice job and no issues with it since. These are our go-to plumbers now. We've been very happy with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone.

if i could give 10 stars to D Martel Plumbing i would! we had a sewage blockage and needed a plumber out same day. Jackie in the office was fantastic! she was kind, provided excellent customer service, and was able to get someone out to us the same day *insert praise hands emoji*. Zach S communicated with me when his arrival time would be, arrived early (which was a huge blessing), and handled our issue with professionalism and respected our property. he walked me through everything he was doing, and was quick to get our issue resolved. we wanted to hire a local business, that provided excellent service, was honest, and well priced — D Martel Plumbing checked all the boxes and more. will absolutely use them again in the future, and highly recommend if you’re looking for someone reliable and trustworthy to handle your plumbing needs!

Always professional, positive and polite! My family loves the team that is D Martel Plumbing! We have been fortunate to have them service our home over the past 10 years. Jackie and Zack knocked it out of the park for us again today! Our Folsom home needed a reg needed a regulator installed. I was upset because "why do we need more regulation?" Zack explained how our high pressure was the cause of our leaking faucet. He quoted me a fair price with detailed expectations and possibilities. In short order, he fixed the issue, smoothly, cleanly, beautifully! Thank you Jackie , and all of the D Martel Plumbing team for reminding us that there are folks out there that enjoy doing business right!

How many ways can you say "outstanding!" What should have been a simple "walk in and replace a water heater" turned into a complex, time-consuming - bring in the troops - challenge. No matter. Our technician, Trevor, sized up the situation, made a few calls, and with lots of muscle and sweat (triple digit temps) - the job got done. Never mind the logistics; just know we didn't believe it could be done. The owner said it could and she was right. Everyone involved - and it was a team effort - had patience, professionalism, and lots of humor. Got a plumbing problem? Call DMartell! We are no longer the grumpy old folks - Sign us Happy Campers!

We have used D Martel Plumbing several times and we’ve received excellent service every time. They have always been able to send someone out the next day or within a short timeframe. We’ve had the same plumber each time and he’s always friendly and courteous. Our first encounter was for a toilet installation and the second was for a water heater flush. With the toilet installation we initially bought the wrong toilet. Zac explained what we needed, we ordered it and he came back for the install. He explained everything he did thoroughly. We will always call D Martel for our future plumbing needs and we highly recommend their services.

Unfortunately our experience with D-Martel plumbing was not good. When all was said and done, they sold us both service and parts that were not needed. In addition the amount quoted was $100 less than the amount charged when the job was complete. I would have refused to pay the additional dollars, but I was not here when the check was written. I called and spoke with the owner, who did nothing to resolve my grievances with his company. Overall, my impression is that D-Martel's business model is to take advantage of the customer and sell things that are not needed. Very disappointing in general but especially for a local company.

As we had water leaking problem outside the house and only noticed over the weekend, and called a few plumbing services, DMartel had the fastest responses and sent us their technician Dan right away. Dan is a very professional, honest and someone you can trust, and he did an excellent job to fix the leaking problem, which we are really happy about it and the charge for the service is very reasonable. I wish there are more stars we can give to him, and we will definitely use their services in the future and refer them to our friends and family members. Again, thank you so much to Dan for fixing the water leaking problem!!

D.Martel Plumbing is a fine company. Zack K. did a very good job repairing a toilet and making sure it was firmly affixed to the floor. Then he completed a complicated repair replacing a cold water valve for a Roman tub. He found the needed replacement part through Delta and gave me the details for me to order it. The valve was located inside a tight compartment only accessible from the outside of my house. Working with my contractor, the space was made larger to allow Zack to work on it. It was a delicate operation, but, through Zack's valiant efforts, surgery was successful. I recommend D.Martel Plumbing!
