They responded quickly to an emergency call. We didn't have heat. The technician arrived within a few hours of when I called. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. He was polite, courteous, and considerate of not leaving a mess in my house.

My heating system stopped working and the temperature in my home was dropping. With the outside temperature below freezing, this was an emergency situation. I called six companies who could not come until the next day. My neighbor suggested Curtis Total Service. Their technician, Kevin Rodriguez, arrived within an hour. I had an excellent experience. Kevin was professional, knowledgeable, and tidy. He ensured everything was working perfectly before he left. He went above and beyond. Highly recommend this company.

Extremely overpriced!!! They came out to check my heat today to only tell me that the radiators needed to be bled and charged me $202. On the phone they stated it will be an $89 charge. Never again. Looking into new companies.

Received a quote to repair our cast iron drain pipe that had corroded and leaked. They quoted me at $6,000 for the work that supposedly needed to be done!! Outrageous. They claimed it would be a full day job in addition to materials. The guys offered no other alternative. I called another plumber who came out the same day. He spent an hour installing a PVC patch and charged $225. I will never, ever call them again for plumbing repair. Absolute scam artists.

I trusted this company to install a new HVAC system a little over a year ago. I've gotten quite an education on systems since their install. Essentially, they installed a VERY expensive communicating air handler to work with a base-level NON-communicating Heat Pump. ALL I knew at the time of install was that I was getting a new system. I had no idea how poor their choice of product was for my home until it was too late. I felt I had no choice but to act quickly because I was told my old oil furnace system was "red tagged" or unsafe to use. Truthfully, they offered 3 options: repair the current system, replace the current system, or go with a "highly-efficient, ultra modern" heat pump. They really pushed this system saying it was a certain seer level and that I would qualify for ALL sorts of rebates and incentives from the government - none of which happened. Here are some more bullet points to help you make your decision on whether or not to use this company: - left trash from the install in my yard - had to come back the very next day after install because they installed the wrong type of thermostat - had to come back a month after install to install a mysterious "box" under the air handler. I have no record of this work being done because they refuse to let me see the paperwork / invoice for it. This was Feb. 19th of 2025 - system formed a LITERAL block of ice in it after only a few days of using it to cool my home in the summer. Tech tried to chalk it up to some nonsense about difficulty shipping parts during covid (it was 2025 ... ) - ? They actually had to turn the system OFF in the middle of summer to let it melt while I slept in my attic that has separate AC. They added a small amount of coolant to the unit to "fix" the problem. See the photo. - thermostat is off / wrong and always has been - they blame my old house, etc. - shouldn't these factors have been taken into consideration prior to the install? When I asked specific questions about the thermostat, the tech responded, "Well, we'd have to consult an expert for that". Aren't YOU supposed to be the expert!?!? - NOTHING in my set up qualifies for any tax rebates or cash incentives from PPL. After giving up and consulting a reputable company, we found: - Heat pump had a leak and was pretty much running on VERY little coolant. This discovery was a stark contrast to the "all is good" seasonal maintenance updates that Curtis performed - This was the result of a broken part that needed to be replaced. I also had to pay to have the unit flushed and restocked with coolant. - New company was taking pics because they were in total and complete disbelief of how unprofessional and shoddy the installation was. Final notes: Curtis Total Service is currently dealing with an ongoing lawsuit for taking advantage of customers not fluent in HVAC tech or that are elderly. My last conversation with their General Manager ended with him calling me "Stupid" because:, "You could have gone with ANY other company but us, did research, etc., but you chose us. You're stupid" This company is an absolute fraud. If this review costs them even a dime, I'll be happy.

To be honest we have had not the best experience with Curtis in the pass with the system that we had installed... mainly the system then any one person at Curtis... But we stuck it out with them and did the rest of the work needed to get our system working correctly... were still getting accustomed to it... But as of today... we needed a professional and my wife didnt want to call Curtis... but I said I dont want to deal with someone who doesn't know what was done recently and who just installed our system... like taking a caddy to Lexus dealership... yes they work on cars... but they specialize in that brand... long story short... Curtis Sent John who not only was patient but very kind and very helpful... not only did he retrace the entire system in our house to find this small issue caused by a temporary install that another plumber didnt see but... but was kind to wait till our other plumber was able to capp off and fix his problem to fix ours... Thank you for sending John. Much Success to him.

Picture this, the day after hosting my 78 & 77 year old parents for Easter, where my Dad needed help off of our toilet, my husband found water in our basement. Yes, that kind of water (raw sewage!). We called Curtis Total Service after other companies told us they couldn't come out until the next day. Jason, from Curtis, helped us out that same day. He cleared our lines, found a break, & set up the entire repair for the same week. Unfortunately, the borough we live in marked our outside lines incorrectly. The excavating crew cut through our Internet and main power line, blowing out our thermostats. Fortunately, Curtis was responsible for the damages & replacing our thermostats. Everything was back up and running within 2 days, and thanks to an expedited work order, we were saved! Thank you so much, Curtis Total Service. We were thinking you'd be known as Curtis Totally Out of Service after this one. We appreciate all that you did & would recommend you to anyone!

Matt showed up on time . Explained all my options very clearly as far as product and payment options. Very good experience. Ok updated , everything that follows. So I ended up going with Curtis . A total removal and replacement of my furnace, hot water heater and added a water softener. The water heater is gone as it's now in the furnace on demand. GREAT JOB GUYS ! I don't remember everyone's names sorry. A crew of 4 showed up 5 mins early at 7:25 am and had the job done by 3:30 pm same day. A 5th guy also came for the electric part. So they'll be replacing my electric box also. Thanks to all 5 of you. Again sorry about the names so I didn't mention any specific. The work I got and the work I'll be having done is necessary for sure. Updating 3/5/25 Alex was here for the furnace inspection and cleaning. No problems whatsoever. Very good crew all around with Curtis Total Service. Re post updates Alex and Elvis were here today. Another great experience.

Do not use this company!!! We had a brand new install completed last year, the install was completed incorrectly and now every time the unit runs it whistles through the house. They have been out multiple times and can’t seem to fix the issue. Reading about causes of the whistling online everything points to a bad install and they refuse to fix the issue. I am at the point of wearing ear plugs to bed because the whistling is that bad. In addition the unit has broken down a minimum of 4 times so far, each time it has been a “bad board”. We just had them in last week to fix why the AC was not cooling and it was another “bad board”. It hasn’t even been 3 days and the AC is not running again. It is unacceptable that a brand new unit has broken down this much in the last year. My advise, use someone else!

Outrageously overpriced—and possibly taking advantage of an elderly customer. My elderly mother called Curtis Plumbing after her toilet overflowed. They responded promptly, and the initial service call and snaking fee were reasonable. However, they claimed the tank was loose and proceeded to rebuild the toilet by replacing the internal tank components. For that, they charged her $1,002—yes, just for the rebuild. Her total bill for less than two hours of work came to $1,140, even after applying a $50 coupon. The work was completed satisfactorily, but the pricing was beyond excessive. If you’re comfortable paying luxury prices for basic plumbing, this might be the company for you. But if you value transparency and fair treatment—especially for vulnerable customers—I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Sam Lead Technician and his crew were excellent with the installation of my HVAC system. My old heating system died and created quite a problem with the house needing renovations and Curtis was willing to work in between all of that with me . Sam, Braidon, and Miles and the rest of the crew went above and beyond. They work as a team. They were knowledgeable, customer oriented, and respectful of my property. Curtis, the company, also worked with my insurance adjuster to get financial reimbursement as a result of my oil heating incident. It’s my first time with an electrical heating air conditioning system through the whole house and I have high hopes for a great system. Curtis also included a three year gold card coverage that will save me money as well. I recommend Curtis Total Service.

AMAZING! So normally big name companies freak me out because you think you’re going to get a cookie cutter service but I was completely wrong. I was assigned Joe Matos as my inspector and all I can say is he was a life saver. I called completely stressed out because of our insurance not taking our situation seriously and not helping us get housing, someone to clean up extreme water damage and plumbing damage. Joe swept in and got the insurance to put us in a hotel, he explained to me what my claims process was and what I should expect from Roto-Rooter. He answered a frantic call on a Saturday night at 8pm and was still friendly and kind. Thank you Roto-Rooter for a quick and efficient job and thank you Joe for helping make our lives so much easier in a crappy (literally) situation!

While I was thankful for the emergency service to unclog my toilet, and he did a good job. I did not need the hard sell on everthing they do. Questions about every thing in my house, heater, water softener, remodel of my bathroom. Then talk of my toilet being to old and needing to be replaced. I said that I would look into it but right now just need it unclogged. He did that and then came back in with a total that included the replacement of the toilet in excess of $2,300. I did not ask for that and told him NO. He kept repeating that when he comes back the next day he wouldn't be charging a service call charge because he was just here. This guy was so sure that he'd be back but guess what its been fine. AND if I need someone again it will not be them!!-

Terrible customer service. I made an appointment 2wks before they were supposed to come on 11/18. They were late and called me to tell me the driver couldn’t find parking around my house therefore the appointment had to be canceled. I didn’t understand because there was plenty of meter parking in front of my house. This guy Bryant(I hope that’s his real name)said this company doesn’t want to pay parking meters. Which I found crazy! He also didn’t offer me an alternative day to come back. He mentioned the company only has these types of trucks therefore they can’t come to my house. Also Bryant was very resistant on providing his supervisor’s name. Very disappointed and confused about the lack of Professionalism, carelessness and respect.
