Best plumber you can trust! I can’t recommend Costless Plumbing enough. Nathan replaced our water heater and the entire experience was beyond great. From the start, he was honest, transparent, and truly had our best interest in mind. He walked us through all of our options, including a gas water heater, and clearly explained why that wasn’t the best route for us since there’s no gas line to our house. Instead of pushing something more expensive, Nathan chose the smartest and most budget friendly option by installing an electric water heater. He gave us a fair, upfront price that included both the installation and the water tank itself NO hidden fees, NO upselling, NO games!!! It’s RARE to find a plumber who doesn’t try to cheat you and Nathan is 100% one of those rare professionals. The work was done efficiently, cleanly, and with real attention to detail. Fermín and his partner, Ignacio, did an excellent job installing our new shower. They were very professional and polite, and they left no trace of dirt or mess. What was supposed to be a two-day job was completed in just one day, which I really appreciated because I have two kids under three years old. They did a fantastic job, and I'm very happy with the results.

They send the service tech out to try to figure something out and don't do anything didn't even try to look for a leak when I told them we had a leak somewhere I had notified them that the carpet was saturated with water and they planned on sending a second technician out without any type of Wet Vac or fans to dry the carpet and they have appointment times that range from 1:00 to 4 hours they are worse than the Cable Guy

Update: I decided that since our AC unit was 26 years old I would follow through with what I intended to do last year around this time; i.e. be proactive and swap it out now, even though its working and we haven't had any problems since my friend fixed it last year. So I gave Nathan and call and we discussed over the phone and he paid a visit and we discussed further and I decided to go ahead and have Costless Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning do the work as originally proposed. As I noted in my former review he and his crew were very courteous and proffesional and provided outstanding service. As I result I've upgraded my review to 5 stars. I wouldn't hesitate to further business with them in the furture. _________________________________________________ Former review from May of 2024 I'd love to give this company a 5-star review, and to be honest all my interaction with them was 5 stars... here's my story: Our AC stopped blowing cold air, and since its ~25 years old I resigned myself to replacing it rather than repairing it again, so I called this company for an estimate. When I called their dispatcher took all my info down: name, address. phone #, cross streets, email addy, etc. On the day they were supposed to come out I got a call from them saying they needed to know if I was on Morris Street in Clovis or Fresno - which is odd since I gave them a Fresno zip code and my cross streets, nevertheless I clarified with them the information they requested. Later, I got a voice message from the guy who was dispatched and he was having difficulty finding my house (I think he inverted the last 2 numbers of my address) Anyway, two technicians arrived, and they were very courteous, seemed knowledgeable in all aspects of their trade, and overall professional in their presentation. One of them inspected the unit while the other took pics for refitting the sheet metal. Then one of them went into the attic, inspected the intake and exhaust, and took more pics. Having gathered all the information they needed for their estimate they departed and said they would forward me a bid. A few days later while I was still waiting to receive a bid from them, I was speaking to a friend on the phone telling him my woeful tale of not having any AC. My friend came over and took the panels off my unit, inspected it, came back the next day with parts and replaced what was necessary, and got it working just fine. I know its an old unit that still needs replacing, but I'm pretty sure it will at least get me through this summer (if not longer) and my friend, who I didn'tt even know had the talent to repair an AC unit charged me $250 plus parts. So, I'm not giving them 1 star because they dropped the ball. I NEVER DID RECIEVE A BID (and yes, I checked my spam box) ...but there are no ill feelings on my part, and in this case I'm sure my review will go up the ladder and hopefully be useful to them in the future. I truly wish them all the best. ------------------------- [Edit / Update] as I expected and as you can see from the response from the owner below, the company did reach out to me. The salesman called and assured me he did complete the estimate. Both the salesman and the owner insist that it was sent out. I really have no defense to this other than I what I've said and that is that I've looked in my spam folder, trash,etc and could not find it. I suspect they may have spelled my email addy incorrectly, but whatever. To conclude, I would strongly consider using this company for a new unit in the future. We have a company who services our a/c and heaters. There are two on our house. I won't mention names but it rimes with Pee's. This company came to service our units yesterday and told us we had to have both a/c's and heaters replaced. We were shocked. They told us our condensers and motors were going out, our heaters had spots that were going to cause carbon monoxide leaks soon, and a plethora of other things. They said there was no way they would even try to repair our units because of liability. They then quoted us a price similar to that of buying a Tesla suv. We were shocked. I immediately started googling and came across Costless Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. I read the reviews and decided to call them for an estimate on the replacements of our units. Within a couple hours they had their man here, Nathan. Nathan introduced himself and quickly put our minds at ease. He then began checking things out. After he was completed, he went over a few of his findings and let us know he was not a technician was just going by what "Pee's" had stated. He gave his opinion that our units do not look too bad but he could not say for sure as he does not do the maintenance or inspections on them. I asked him if before replacing we could have a technician look at them and he said absolutely and told me the price. I said yes. I received a call this morning at 9am letting me know they would have a tech here by 11 am if that was ok. Again, I said yes. At about 11 the tech arrived with an assistant in training. The techs name is Andrew and I believe the assistant was Jesus. Andrew and I spoke briefly and off he went to inspect both heaters and both a/c's. After his inspection he had us come out to chat about his findings. Turns out all of our units are in proper working condition and nothing needs replaced. No parts, no units, no wires, nothing. He stated that our units for their age look great. Andrew was amazing. He was kind and super helpful with answering our questions just like Nathan was yesterday. The only concern they had was our insulation. We knew we needed more but we're not aware of how much more. When he showed us the pictures it was apparent we need to get that done immediately. Andrew and Jesus left and a short while later Nathan called. He asked how things went and how excited we were to know our units are still in good working order. I let him know the quick response and honest communication has ensured we will be a returning customer. Nathan let me know he will still be sending the estimate even though he knows we are not replacing them, just so we have the info if we decide different. I also asked that he send us the info on adding to the insulation. About 20 minutes ago I received both estimates. This man totally went above and beyond by getting us an estimate after business hours. Nathan, you rock. You could have waited until tomorrow but you ensured you did what you said you were going to. Thank you! The amount of savings we would gain even if we had to replace the units was huge. We will continue to work with Costless Plumbing Heating and Air conditioning in the future. Their honesty, kindness, and professionalism has sold us on this company. Thank you all so much for ensuring we had an amazing experience. And to the two receptionists who helped on the phones. You were both amazing. You were quick to answer, get our questions and concerns addressed, and have a couple laughs when I was mad this morning that I wasn't rich and had to go to work. I didn't want to leave either of you out and I apologize but I didn't write down your names. But I did want to ensure you also get the recognition you deserve for your outstanding customer service.

THIS COMPANY IS AMAZING AND GOT ME A NEW AC & DUCTWORK IN JUST 3 DAYS I noticed my A/C unit blowing hot air during this bipolar Fresno weather. I called another company because I didn’t know Costless prior to and they told me that my 35 year old air conditioner finally died with a bad compressor last Wednesday morning. Immediately I was given proposals as high as 55 thousand dollars for a unit replacement on a piece of paper which was outrageous. I panicked and started calling all the companies that popped up on google and nobody answered my call or never called me back after taking my info. I came across Costless Plumbing heating and air conditioning. The super helpful dispatcher heard my entire rant and immediately transferred me to Nathan who is the comfort advisor that was willing to come SAME DAY in the afternoon during his busy schedule to look at my ac because I’m sure that I’m not his only customer. He came out looked at everything and even checked my attic. It looked like my ductwork was also the older aluminum flexible type tubes and were leaking a lot of air. (The first company never went in my attic, just said I needed it without confirming or mentioned what I had) Nathan showed me photos and provided me multiple options while explaining the scenarios along with pros & cons of each option based off of how I like my house’s temperature. His proposal came in MORE THAN HALF for a new gas/electric roof unit with all new high efficiency ductwork and roof metal. I was able to finance this at 0% in the same appt and they were able to start installing the following day which was a Thursday!!! Two nice guys who were the installers showed up with Nathan the next morning and they quickly went to work. Nathan made sure that they put on shoe covers and carpets so my floors do not get dirty which was AWESOME and delegated the whole project. He had Bryan the friendly crane operator come that morning to remove my dinosaur ac unit so they can take all the old ducts out from the rooftop without having to go through my house with white carpets. The crew cleaned up after they were finished with him providing a job update of what was done with a game plan for the next day and sure enough they returned the next day with a crane and a brand new ac unit. Next thing I knew by 5 o’clock, I HAD WORKING AC AND HEAT BY THE END OF FRIDAY SO I CAN BE COMFORTABLE FOR THE WEEKEND. He showed me how to use my new smart thermostat and how they can monitor if my unit breaks down without me knowing since they cover it with a 10 year warranty. I waited 5 days to write this review as I wanted to feel the unit work during this hot spell and my house has never felt this comfortable and this fast. I can’t wait to see my next PGE bill. In conclusion I will never use any other plumbing or ac company. Nathan and his team will continue to be my go-to. From every encounter with each employer has been top notch with the best pricing and customer service that took care of me with a huge project in just 3 days from contract signing to the final duct test & inspection.

Costless Plumbing, Heating And Air Conditioning I discovered Costless several years ago as it is owned and operated by a relative of a friend. Over the years, I've had them out for both plumbing and air conditioning issues with excellent, quick and professional service. I've had three neighbors use a different company here in town to upgrade and replace their HVAC systems and have told me, "the difference is like night and day" with their comfort in the home. So, with the high cost of my last two PG&E bills, and a home energy audit from about 8 years ago that suggested I had a 25% leak in my ducting, I decided to look into an upgrade myself. My next door neighbor gave me a copy of his invoice from the other company so I had an idea of what to expect. They have a split system and only replaced the AC unit and ducting. I contacted Costless and Nathaniel respond promptly and was out in 48 hours. He went over several options and gave me recommendations but always let me know, "we'll do what ever you want". There was NO heavy sales tactics at all. He answered all my questions at that time, and even more impressing, responded to all my follow up questions that I submitted via email, within hours and on the weekend too. On a Sunday, I decided what system I wanted, Monday Nate had emailed me the contract, Tuesday I took the signed contract in, and Wednesday construction began. (I just got lucky on availability) and by Friday the new unit, all new ducting, all new vents, all new registers, and demolition and removal of the old system was completed. Rafael and Jose, the two main installers were beyond professional. They graciously put up with my asking questions through out the three day job. End of the day clean up was excellent each and every day. Thanks to these two gentlemen, things could not have gone any better. But they were not alone. Various other technicians were on the job site too. I'm guessing maybe 6-8 over the course of the three days, and all were professional and courteous. The pricing could not be beat. An all new, top of the line, energy efficient, complete HVAC system, was only $200 more than what my neighbor paid for their system upgrade. From my research, I now have one of the most energy efficient systems on the market now on my roof. Professionalism of everyone I came into contact was beyond rapport. From the owner of the company Angel Hernandez, Nathaniel, the technicians, to Lyndsay in the office who let me be creative in my payment method (building up frequent flier miles) and everyone in between. I can not recommend Costless Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning more.

7/18/25: Thank you for the disingenuous reply. Yes the technicians fixed my AC but my review and complaints were never concerned their ability to fix the AC. It was always about the lack of customer service, accountability and communication from the admin team. Yes my AC was fixed but did we really have to go back and forth, or could someone have just called me the moment they knew my appointment time had changed. You did your best, but things would have went better if someone on your team made better choices. Update: This is an update to my original review. My review and comments are still for the office staff. I just going to LOL in real life. Moments after posting my original review someone from the Madera office called me to discuss my post. They seemed upset I wrote the review and were more upset that I didn’t find their explanation comforting or acceptable. They literally tried to cancel my appointment because I wasn’t baking down on how I felt about the treatment I received. Again I was only upset that my appointment was rescheduled without my knowledge or personal consideration. I understand stuff happens but why not be proactive with communicating so I could replan my day without frustration. Take the initiative to call and discuss matters as soon as possible, the same way you proactively communicated about my original review. __________ I am specifically commenting on the lack of professionalism and transparency from the office staff. I had a three hour appointment window schedule, and no one showed up. I didn’t notice until two hours after the window had ended. I had to call the office and ask what was going on. Apparently the tech who was supposed to service my AC called out sick and they had to find another tech to come. That’s understandable. My issue was with the lack of communication and transparency. I know I asked for an appointment window of 8 - 11 am. When I called at 1 pm I found out about the tech and asked what the solution would be, they rescheduled a tech to come at a time when I could not be home, I had a prior appointment schedule for something else. When I made comment that that would not be ideal for me, I was met with a take it or leave attitude. That was very rude and unprofessional. Try to be proactive in informing people of changed schedules, it is your responsibility as the vendor.

Through our property management company we had costless come out to fix two concerns in our master bathroom the woman I spoke on the phone with when they called to confirm someone would be home was extremely rude, when the guy showed up he introduced himself and then when I told him the problem his attitude was that having to fix two things (per the work order sent) was an inconvenience he went upstairs where my elderly father was in the master bedroom (it was the master bathroom that needed repairs) the most he spoke to me after that was to tell me he was turning off the water, the whole time he was on his phone and it didn't sound like a work call. I left shortly there after to get my children he came in and out throughout the time after I was home but didn't speak to me and left without letting me know the work was done I haven't had a chance to speak with my father to see if he spoke with him at all but when my mother (who also lives with me) came home she said the bathroom was a mess. I'm extremely disappointed we have had costless before as that is who our property management company is contracted with and they have always been professional in the past. I am not one to play it's because I'm female but it definitely felt that way with how he talked to me versus the brief conversation I overheard between him and my father

Our 25 year old AC finally gave out, on the first heat wave to boot. Like most, we tried to squeeze as much life as we could out of it, but when I was quoted $3.5k to get it fixed, with no guarantees it would last us another year, the writing was on the wall. And it said, Go get a new AC. Allbritten was my first choice because of their stellar service. I have been with them for more than a decade. They even gave me a very good estimate on a unit comparable to my old 4-ton, with a higher SEER rating of course. To cut a long story short, I chose Costless because they quoted me nearly less than half of the lowest estimate I got, which was incidentally from Allbritten. What’s more, they quoted me a 5-ton heat exchanger for the price of what other companies charged for a basic AC + furnace. With tax rebates waiting for me when I file taxes down the road, getting a heat exchanger (Bosch) ended up cheaper than a conventional AC + furnace unit. I also got a quote estimate from Melton by the way, but from the amount they gave me, one would think they didn’t need nor want the job. Rounding this all out is Costless took just 8 hours to install. The work was professional, tidy and clean. And I have pictures to prove it.

We had a corroded pipe in the wall of our bathroom that leaked to the point of bubbling of the paint on the ceiling. We called them out to see what was causing the bubbling. They discovered the cause of the leak and what would need to be done to fix the problem. We had to do remediation which found environmental hazards that would require tearing out pretty much the whole bathroom. We asked the owner, Angel, if he could recommend a good contractor to rebuild the bathroom and he said his company does rehab work, so we asked for an estimate to do all the work. We got estimates from 3 other contractors as well. We ultimately chose Costless to do the work due to their price and their professional attitude and personal report. We felt like we could trust them to treat us right and boy oh boy, did they ever. The job was done perfectly and very professionally. The owners and their workers gave us nothing but their best work. The work ethics they all had was very refreshing and much appreciated. We are going to need other work done in the future and will definitely be calling on them again to do that as well. Thank you Angel, Ethan, Nathan and the whole crew!

At 10 a.m., my wife heard dripping water coming from our water heater. Upon checking, she found it leaking, so we immediately searched online for a plumbing service. I called 4 places to get my air conditioner fixed this morning and a few last night none of those called me back. All of them didn't have a technician available today and they all mentioned $99. Diagnostic fee. Then I called Costless Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. I asked the very polite woman if they had someone available and do you know what she said? She said of course. Music to my ears and it was only $85 to see what was wrong. She explained when they would be here and they would call before they arrived, which they did. So Angel wearing a mask (thank you ) and another man came out checked the thermostat and the unit outside told me what was wrong. I gave the go-ahead and now I am cool again. I am going to recommend this company to everyone. 6/16/2025 Another great interaction with costless Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning I had them come out for a AC tune up everyone i have interacted with in this company has been friendly and very informative. Our in attic unit has never been serviced and they only found one little part that went bad. They could have easily got me for more stuff but didn't even try. Great job CPHAC
