Our technician Jordan Lee came in early in the morning with a smile that definitely helps. He was very detailed patient and answered all of our questions. Young man is smart and again, very detailed. I appreciate his honesty and willingness to help and give us a better understanding of what our situation was a pleasure to meet a pleasure to talk to.
Chisholm came out this afternoon for our spring heat pump maintenance. Bear, our technician, was very personable and professional. He was very attentive to my concerns. He presented all options from repair to replacement. If I could describe Bear in one word I would say honest. I highly recommend him and Chisholm.
Excellent Experience! Jonathan was very efficient. Came out within an hour after service call. Very polite and friendly. Answered questions pertaining to plumbing job. Will use again. Faye Dirton
I called to have some simple work done and it turned out to be $1629.47 for some work that is not up to par. They came out a total of 4 times and we are still having issues. They said they can no longer service my address and I had a warranty for 1 year. So I should be covered until 6/3/26. The employees take pictures, video and recordings of your home without consent and even after being told they can not do so without permission. I requested a copy of all the warranty information, company policy on pictures, videos and recording, and all documents they have for my home. I still have not received anything. I still have an issue with the work they done and will have to get another company out to fix. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! IT WAS A VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE.
Wow, so we had Chisolm over on the hottest day of the year because our AC wasn't working well. They told us it's 10 years old so either replace it (for $14k!!) or it would be $1100 to find the coolant leak and $1000+ for 7 lbs of coolant! I don't have that kind of money, most people don't. My dad said that was crazy, so we got a second option today. The tech that came out told us it may have a tiny leak, but it's not the problem, the system in the attic doesn't have the correct end boxes to function efficiently, a $500-$600 fix.AND the system only holds 6.2 lbs including the lines if it's completely out!! WOW, we almost got taken by these guys for $2k+ or $14k for a new system! They either did not know what they were doing or were trying to take us to the cleaners. BEWARE!
I would give this company a zero rating if I could. The owner, John Barry Chisholm, talks a good game in the beginning, but he/his company do NOT stand behind their work. I had a very expensive air unit installed in August 2020 and within 2 days it wasn't cooling, so I called them to come out. The thermostat was set on 69 and it was 75 in the house. It wasn't cooling at all. It is only at his convenience he will send someone out. He doesn't care about your scheduling needs. I had to take a great deal of time off work to be there when they could come. I waited a week for my scheduled time- then they arrived late. Dale Kemp, the install manager, told me there was nothing wrong with it when he came out. It continued to stay in the mid to upper 70's in my house. I had to call and pay another company to come take a look and the thermostat wasn't even installed properly! I am also attaching some pictures to this review- they should tell you everything you need to know. The first is my air unit after installation. The remaining is what I uncovered months later. **Please keep in mind that I told them I did NOT want mulch because there is no landscaping on that side of the house. ** I called immediately when I saw this and again was told I'd have to wait about a week. The owner also told me that it was only cosmetic, but Dale (install manager) told me, no that wasn't true- that the pad underneath was warped and the unit could have fallen at any time. When they looked at it, I was told they would install a concrete pad for an additional $350! It should have had a concrete pad in the first place because the unit sits on a slope. Not one time at any point through this ordeal did the owner ever apologize! He only told me I was being difficult because I wanted it fixed properly. I do NOT recommend this company!! They are very shady and as you can see, the work they do is abysmal. The owner is very unethical and unprofessional. Save yourself the time and trouble and AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
Clark and Skip provided an outstanding level of service and dedication to diagnose and repair a number of issues with my HVAC system. They first replaced the old fiberboard plenums that were sagging and leaking air with new sheet metal enclosures and reconnected all the flex pipe duct work with new collars and couplings, then sealed the seams and joints with silicone. Once that was done they moved on to address a suspected problem with the temperature sensor on the outdoor compressor unit. However, they determined that the sensor was actually good, but the high pressure outlet was reading very low on the pressure gauge, indicating that a leak was present in the system. Skip eventually found a small pinhole leak in the evaporator coil unit in the attic, so they immediately called the warehouse to see if there might be a new evaporator coil available for replacement under warranty. Luckily they were able to get the coil and install it in the same day, so once it was in place and all the copper piping connections were complete, they purged all of the old refrigerant out of the system to eliminate any residual contaminants and moisture and re-charged the system with new R-410 refrigerant. Once this was complete and the system was activated, the inlet and outlet temperatures at the ducts inside the house indicated that everything was working well again. Throughout all of these different tasks I could tell that Clark and Skip paid a lot of attention to all of the details in their work and they did everything possible to get my system back up and running in the same day.
Chisholm has been excellent. We've unfortunately needed their services multiple times over the past year, but everyone that has come out has been extremely kind and efficient. Our most recent technician was Jordan (Bear). His demeanor from the moment I answered the door was top notch. I'd honestly continue to use Chisholm just because of his service in particular. **One note that I want to share, however, is that while this company is fantastic, please do your research if you need a restoration crew to come out as well. The one that Chisholm recommends and got us involved with is one that I would stay far away from. I didn't know any better, and they may not either. Just trying to save others the nightmare we went through with restorations.**
Chris from Chisholm was on time and very knowledgeable. As a homeowner the hard part is the unknown of the scope of work. He laid it out plainly and in a way that I could understand. He then followed up with doing exactly what he said he was going to do (which is rare these days). He answered question after question with patience and the price he gave was the price we paid. There were no surprises! Overall my experience with everyone from Chisholm was professional and friendly. Call them if you need honesty and follow through. I will use them for all future needs.
Clark was wonderful. He called to ask if he could arrive early. When he arrived he was very friendly and professional. He was well organized and inspected our system in a methodical manner. Clark took the time to explain various aspects of our system and showed us photographs to help us understand possible issues that our system may have. Clark asked if we had any questions throughout the inspection process. Our A/C will be good for another year. I would really like to recommend Clark and he received a 10 out of 10 in all categories in our opinion.
Total professional and very impressed with how he talked to us. We had 3 different employees show up at our house. Jordan (Bear) Lee checked out the Hv/AC. Noticed one vent connected. 2nd employee was Brian Yarborough younger man. After talking to him well versed in his knowledge concerning plumbing and gave excellent advice which we will be following. Then last employee was Clark Bridwell who fixed the unconnected vent. He went above and beyond in fixing it. We are absolutely blessed to have Chisholm plumbing and heating. Grateful for all of them.
I had a great experience with Clark and Skip during my recent HVAC maintenance. They were quite knowledgeable about my system—it honestly felt like they were already very familiar with it before even arriving. They took the time to really listen to my concerns and addressed everything thoughtfully. What stood out most was how genuine they were. No sales pressure, no scripted feel—just honest, friendly service. It’s not always easy to find people who are both skilled and personable, but they absolutely delivered on both. Highly recommend!
Called on Chisholm once again to solve my plumbing problem! And once again they came through with the answer. Removed and reset my hall bath toilet to correct a leak at the wax gasket ( they did not install the current one!) All work done correctly and quickly with minimal mess and interruption! Friendly and professional is my best description for Chris and Dustyn and their unnamed helper! Glad to have them right in the neighborhood!! Ty Winston performed annual maintenance today Top notch service!!!!!
I signed up for the membership special at $10 per month per unit. Jason H came out and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I haven’t bought anything yet and definitely would need quotes from other companies before and decisions would be made. One complaint I have about the company. They do not top off the refrigerant in your ac unit. This company just comes out and tells you that you need a lot of work done. Which is thousands of dollars. “We aren’t a bandaid company.”
I have used Chisolm quite a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. Today I had Winston Skipper as my technician and he went above and beyond for us. He did a very thorough check up and found things that could have been a disaster if he hadnt caught it in time and fixed our AC to hopefully last us a few more years before we have to break down and buy a whole new unit. He was also on time and very nice and professional. Thanks so much!
