Chattanooga and Battlefield Plumbing sent out Martin and Billy for some work I requested. They were able to resolve the issues in a timely manner. Martin and Billy were very professional and very knowledgeable and interesting to communicate with. I would definitely recommend Chattanooga and Battlefield Plumbing for your plumbing needs.
Martin and Billy unclogged my apartment sink today, and it was the quickest, most efficient, and most personable plumbing experience I've ever had. I'm often a little socially awkward having plumbers and other similar professionals in my space, but these two made me feel so completely at ease. They got in, got the job done, and got out all while being cheerful, friendly, and just overall cool guys. 10/10, would (and will) recommend to anyone I know who runs into plumbing problems. You guys are great at what you do!!
Service tech was there first thing the next morning and was knowledgeable of the issue. Fixed it and left area clean within an hour. I will definitely use them again and I would recommend them to everyone. Also, want to acknowledge the ladies in the office Leanne and Benita were very friendly and very patient with me.
Service-wise, I had an excellent experience with CBP. The two techs who showed up to snake my drain were both friendly and thorough, and the folks I talked with over the phone were also very friendly and helpful. The reason I will not be using this company for any work in the future is simply the price/pricing structure. When I called to schedule the service, I asked how much it would cost to snake a drain and they said $150/hr plus parts. But "parts" apparently means tools needed. I have never seen any company charge for using the tools they're expected to have to complete the job. Another upside was that when I called to confirm this odd pricing, I asked if they could remove the camera charge since that was not a service I asked for and they did accommodate that request. But $250 to have a drain cleared is still quite high for me.
Be warned! Over priced labor
I'm normally not the type to write reviews but for this company and for the two guys that came out to my house tonight, I'd fly to the moon and back! On super bowl. Sunday my toilet and tub on the lower level started backing up and overflowing. I called this other company and they came out and basically told me if they could fix it, It would be $93, and if they couldn't it would be free. So they ran some equipment unclogged my pipes and had me flowing back again. I thought great, this was the end of my problem. That was until this other company, and I'm going to continue to call them other company just for the sake of not bad mouthing people, came back out four days later to run cameras through the pipes. The said they were checking to see if there was an underlying cause to my backup issues. So they ran cameras in one direction and came to a blocked area. Upon finding this blocked area we went searching and found in the yard that there was a clean out pipe that led to my sewer that did not have a cap on it. So with our a cap it is where my son had been putting toys, dirt, rocks, balls and piece of rebar even. You name it, It was impacted down there. Upon seeing this, the other company told me that if I could find some way to unplug it, yes my pipes might work but that I was already beginning to back up again and that they would need to replace that pipe and then 10 ft of piping leading to the city sewer pipes, which is 4 and 1/2 ft down in the ground. The others were going to charge me $4,200 to do all of it. I was left shocked not knowing what to do, so I called a friend of mine and he recommended that I get a second opinion and to call Chattanooga and Battlefield plumbing. He said that they were amazing people and that they would not do me wrong. So I called them today and they came out and unplugged all the items from the pipe and then flushed it. They then ran their camera to show that there was no damaged piping that needed to be replaced and that everything was going great. They gave me an amazing deal. They worked in such a timely fashion and these two "old guys" Martin and Bill were the real saviors of my day! What I was once told would have to be replaced and would cost me $4,200, which I was looking at possibly having to finance, now only truly costed me $650. These two guys are so smart and we're so creative in the ingenuity that they had to use to get some of these items my son had placed in this hole that was now causing the clog. If you ever need a plumber or a second opinion, I highly highly recommend that you use this company and I can tell you one thing from here on out. If I have any plumbing issues, they will have my business 100%, and with a 6-year-old little boy and a 10-year-old girl, I'm sure this is not going to be the last time I see them. But, at least I know that if I have to call them, I can trust in them to shoot me straight and not do me wrong!
I have used the services of Battlefield Plumbing several times over the past 6 or 7 years to repair leaks that have occurred at my house (over 23 years old). The first time was at 9 pm and I had a leak from an outdoor faucet. They arrived about 90 minutes later (I live WAY out in the rural part of the county), made the repair. Even though it was well after hours and they were charging after-hours rates, it was still VERY reasonable. Over other incidents, the office personnel and the service personnel were always friendly, helpful, and (most importantly) honest and upfront with all information on my repair and always helped me find the way find least expensive solution to resolve the issue. Today, I detected a leak in the late morning. I called and they said that they had a full schedule but would try their best to find a crew to come out when they finished a current job. Bonita and Katrina in the office were very friendly and helpful as I'm sure they could sense my desperation since the water had to be shut off to stop the leak. Shortly after lunch, they called to say that a crew was on the way. Mitchell and Jonahan arrived around 3:30 and after checking in with me went straight to work. They had it repaired in just under an hour and delivered the failed materials. They were friendly, professional, and took time to explain to me everything they did and why. I've never had a bad experience with them.
I am building a detached garage that I had Chattanooga & Battlefield Plumbing bid the plumbing. They had Steve come out and look at the property. He was very informative as to what needed to happen. Since I still needed grade and concrete work my project experienced delays. The office staff, specifically Banitta called me every week to ask if the project was ready for them. This went on for a few months. Once I was ready they had a crew come out and run water and sewer lines to new building. They worked well with my concrete contractor and builder to make sure the plumbing was exactly where it needed to be. I later found out that Steve was the previous owner so that made me feel I was in good hands. If that wasn't enough, I found out that Chris, one of the workers on my project is the current owner. His attention to detail, making sure I had the proper "fall" and understanding everything they were doing was more than I expected. I highly recommend them and will be using them anytime I need a plumber. Thank you Chattanooga & Battlefield Plumbing for owning this piece of my project.
I live in an apartment complex in red bank and recently I had an issue with my kitchen sink backing up (from years of use no doubt) and my dishwasher leaking. The apartment maintenance guy called them and said they were the best. He was not kidding. Two older gentlemen came in and were extremely pleasant and jovial and you could tell they loved their jobs and working with each other. They explained what they were doing and joked back and fourth and it really put my mind at ease. They ended up having to use a medium size auger? to drill through a thick wall of grease and who knows what else. They then had to replace the pipes to something much more efficient. They were so proud of the vortex the water created when it started going down the drain. I was impressed and it showed just how much they loved doing this work. I cannot recommend this company enough for your plumbing needs. I would absolutely endure a backed up sink with a some slight flooding again just to get these 2 guys once more.
If I could choose zero stars, I would. Called Chatt & Battlefield Plumbing about tankless water heater leak on a Monday. Explained to serviceman we had just had a small leak repaired under house that was discovered on a Friday so we turned water off to house of a while til other plumber could repair.(they didn’t work on tankless so we called Chatt & Battlefield plumb). he looked at it for 30 seconds tapped the heat exchanger and said “it busted”. I asked if it was under warranty, he said no. (Without even checking). He said he’d have to replace unit. $4100. I scheduled replacement for later in week. After he left, I check and the heat exchanger WAS under warranty. Called another tankless water heater plumber, he diagnosed circulating pump went bad because of turning off water (it circulates water automatically every 30 mins). He replaced pump, good as new. Chattanooga & Battlefield are in the business of selling NOT repairing!
I don’t regularly write reviews but this company did such an amazing job on my water heater and sump pump that malfunctioned at the same time due to high volume of rain over the last few weeks. The office lady Benita was very sweet and helpful. Chris, Jared, Matt, and Ian all came out to the house to fix everything. They were very sweet and easy to talk to. Super patient with my lack of knowledge and explained the entire process to me. Gave me options in detail and didn’t try to upsell anything. I called the after hours line once to ask a question and they were very helpful. They explained that it wasn’t an emergency and they could be out to fix it in the AM so I didn’t have to pay time and a half for after hours services. They did a great job at calming my anxiety. I am very grateful and impressed by the service provided. Thank you all for working with me.
My water heater started to go out the other day and I was worried between cost, time, and quality. The advice I received before replacing my unit was excellent in trying to reduce my price point which was a big sign these folks were in it to help not just for the paycheck. I decided to replace my 50 gallon unit (which was almost 20 years old) with a new unit and they were able to deliver, install, and haul off the old unit within a few days.the overall cost was well within my price range to replace a 50 gallon unit which I was very satisfied with and the technicians were friendly, informative, and quick with their work (about 2 to 3 hours for the entire process). I would HIGHLY recommend this company if you're in need of a new water heater or just a repair.
We had an old bathtub removed and a new tub and surround installed. The price was fair. The work was done on time. The only thing bad was that they had to cut the sheet rock around the surround. They left it exposed like that and didn't replace it. So, we weren't able to use the shower until we found a carpenter, waited for them to schedule us (one week), and it took them several days to repair the wall. We weren't told the job would be left unfinished and not usable. Had we been informed that we would need additional work done, we could have had the carpenter ready to finish the work for us a lot sooner. Also, when we were quoted the price, we thought that meant we would have a new 'working' shower for that price!
Never would send anyone out or honor a single scheduled time, every time they scheduled with us it had to be cancelled the day of. We were going weeks without showers at this point and called a different plumber who was able to show up the next day no problem. They'll act like you're the problem and you're the one without schedule availability even though they will cancel your scheduled appointment several times before they have time to get around to you. You're better off not relying on BBB scores and just calling someone like Metro, if you're having any sort of urgent problems. I think they want you to pay the emergency or overtime money to get a simple appointment, so they'll give you the runaround until you do.
On March 18, 2024 I came downstairs to a flooded mess - my water heater died. I called my landlord and he called Chattanooga and Battlefield plumbing & I can't tell you how this was the best idea ever. After he called and made an appointment immediately John and Jon showed up like superheroes and save my day -they replaced my water heater. They were so neat and wonderful because they even mopped the water up that was in my laundry room while I work from home. They did not create a mess they were professional and they did the job in a timely manner. I could not have asked for anything more in those two guys I would recommend to anyone who has a water heater issue or any type of plumbing issue they were great.
