Catons Plumbing, Drains & Water Cleanup

We had an emergency pipe clog on Xmas night… total nightmare…. and Catons was the only company that was available (we called about 6 other places). They promised to be there within an hour and sure enough they were. Our plumber Henry Helwig provided amazing service as he methodically worked through the issue over about 3-4 hours. He was clear about the process, pivoted when necessary to be more efficient, and communicated everything well. He was also extremely clean and courteous while working in the house. I would definitely hire them again

I had a clog toilet for two days after searching for people to help everyone told me that my toilet may have to be removed. I went on the website to get another opinion because prices are to high. I called Catons plumbing and they sent someone out the same day. Demetric the service technician came within two hours of my phone call. He was very knowledgeable , respectful and able to fix the clog without having to remove the whole toilet. He accomplished the job in no time. I defiantly recommend this business….. exceptional job. Five stars for Demtric the technician ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Derrick was outstanding! He arrived on time, was extremely professional, and clearly knows his stuff. My shower diverter cartridge had been giving me trouble for a few weeks, and Derrick diagnosed and fixed it quickly and cleanly. No mess, no upselling—just straightforward, high-quality work. He even took the time to explain what went wrong. I highly recommend Derrick for any plumbing needs. He is reliable, courteous, and skilled.

Response was pretty good. A senior plumber came early the next day after calling. He was nice and seemed competent. The work was not difficult or complicated. and the price for the replacement garbage disposal seemed fair. However, the labor charge was beyond excessive!! The work needed to be done, though, so I agreed. We will never call Catons again.

Do not use Caton’s Plumbing! They do not stand by their work, which is of poor quality. They did not properly seal a new faucet that they installed then they wanted to charge me a service fee because I reported it more than six months after they did the work, even though a faucet seal should last for years and it’s a basic thing. Also, the plumber who installed the faucet went ahead and got a new faucet that I did not approve and just installed it without letting me know she was doing that this was on a bathroom that was recently renovated, and I would’ve selected a faucet that matched the existing furnishings. I will not be using this company again, and you shouldn’t either!

Here’s the thing about Catons: different departments give you different experiences We had an issue with a blocked drain in the floor of our basement on a Sunday, and Catons sent out an emergency plumber, a water mitigation team, and then later someone from their excavation team. The emergency plumbers were fabulous. Competent, friendly, stayed late on a Sunday until the work was done and fixed the issue. Prices weren’t exorbitant and apparently they have a shift schedule that just has a roster of folks with night and weekend times. The water mitigation guys were a mixed bag. Friendly and knowledgeable, but also they showed up without me asking for them and kinda locked me into services. My homeowners insurance adjuster told me “next time, call us and we’ll send our guys out, and you’ll only get billed for services we actually cover.” So they billed a bit higher than insurance was willing to pay. But all seemed competent and friendly. The worst was the guy from excavation. He sent a camera through our sewer line and told me there were roots in the pipe and I would need a major $15k project that would dig up our front yard, kill our landscaping, and maybe break our concrete walk. Im glad I had the presence of mind to look for a second opinion. He said it was urgent in the next few weeks. I got the name of a plumber that several contractors in my orbit trust, and that plumber sent his own camera down the line the next day and didn’t see a single root. The pipes were old enough to eventually need descaling, and had a few cobwebs in them, but certainly not roots. I ended up paying $350 to save $15k. I don’t know if the person wasn’t trained properly, was incompetent, or fully knew what he was doing and was trying to upsell me on an expensive, disruptive, and wholly unnecessary procedure. I would say trust Catons for emergency plumbing issues…and not much else. At the very least be skeptical if they’re trying to push services on you that you didn’t ask for and weren’t expecting.

Our water heater started leaking at 3AM on Christmas Eve (Wednesday). Called a few plumbing companies and was told I'd have to wait at least 48 hours (until Friday, at the earliest). I called Catons Plumbing at 7AM and they said someone could come out within an hour. Dave arrived before 8AM, assessed the situation, ordered a replacement unit to be delivered, and got it installed all before 10:30AM - did I mention this was Christmas Eve? Outstanding response and incredibly efficient, professional service. Dave did a terrific job and was clearly very experienced. I can't recommend Caton's Plumbing and Dave highly enough. Thanks for salvaging our holidays.

Originally I was hoping to have my leaking kitchen faucet fixed but, I guess it was to old. Anyway from there it just escalated, I had both under sink shut-off valves replaced and the whole house cold and hot water shut-off valves replaced. All 4 shut-off valves failed which escalated my decision in having Moya replace them. Moya also replaced my kitchen faucet since, there was no replacement parts available. I am very happy Moya was there, he was very professional and sympathetic to my situation. Thanks Catons for bailing me out of a very wet situation again, you are always my first to call for my plumbing issues.

I had such a great experience working with service, in particular, Moya! I had previous a maintenance person (NOT an employee of this company) who failed to repair the issue I had, but as soon as I called this company, they were able to send out a technician within a couple of hours. Moya was very communicative and explained in the detail what the issues were and how he would repair the issue. I’m very grateful for this service and I 100% recommend it. Thank you, Moya!

Catons answered my call and got someone out the same day. The plumber, Henry, arrived on time and was very professional. He quickly troubleshooted the situation and recognized damage to my crawlspace that will also have to be taken care of. He worked several hours into the night to take care of the problem and was a delight the entire time. Henry’s confidence and demeanor made me as at ease as I could be in the crappy situation. I was able to get same-day service to replace a leaking garbage disposal. My service technician, Kimberly, came with the needed parts. She was proficient in completing that repair and replacing a rotten toilet flapper with the one I had purchased. A Caton field Supervisor stopped by to scan the under-sink wall area to verify that there were no hidden leaks/water damage. I am satisfied and have peace of mind with the job they did.

Hungh did an excellent job replacing my 1925 origional toilet with a modern American Standard unit. During the installation instead of replacing the old flange (which would of required cutting the ceiling below and doing a major pipe replacement) he found some replacement bolts in his truck and fit them into the old flange. His quote the day before was equal to his estimate. Very pleased with Caton Plumbing and Hungh's service.

Called up Catons after realizing my dishwasher had a cold water line going into the dishwasher. Needed a splitter on the hot line to get water to both my sink and the dishwasher. Was able to have it done the same day and Demetric was very transparent and fixed everything even though the piping looked like a pain to deal with. Many thanks for the quick turnaround

I'm beyond pleased. The professionalism, expertise, and "bedside manor" of Jason was amazing. His trainee, Richard, was nice as well. They came on Thanksgiving day, and the value was better than I prepared myself for. They fixed my issue perfectly.
