Highly recommended. When another plumbing company cancelled on me last minute, Caton’s was able to send someone same day. They arrived on time after calling to confirm they were on the way. Henry and his associate were very friendly, respectful and explained things in a way I was able to understand. Will definitely be my first call in the future when another plumbing issue arises.

On incredibly short notice, Caton was able to schedule a call and come out later in the evening. I had a bad leak in the kitchen sink. Henry came out and assessed the problem instantly and gave me all available options. He thoroughly informed me. He was incredibly respectful, professional, and knowledgeable. Really glad they were able to assist me. He came out and followed up with the perfect install. Grateful to have had him!

Ramon is hands down one of the best plumbers I’ve dealt with. He came in and fixed a problem that multiple other plumbers couldn’t figure out. No hesitation, no guessing, he got right to work and handled it. The service was fast, efficient, and professional from start to finish. You can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing. I’m beyond satisfied with the results and will definitely be calling him again if I ever need plumbing work done. Highly recommend Ramon if you want the job done right the first time. 💯

If I could give them zero stars I would. The plumber that repaired my leak flooded my lower level of my townhouse. Now it has mold and they refusing to fix it.

We couldn't be more disappointed in this terrible customer service and handling of billing and complaints. Do not sign a contract with this company.

We hired Caton's Plumbing to replace a single pipe connected to our boiler. Before the plumber, Chuck, arrived, our boiler was fully operational — no issues whatsoever. After he replaced the pipe, he informed us that our air scrubber was leaking. This was not the case before his visit. When we turned on the heat the following day, none of the pipes were getting warm. We called for a second visit, and the office representative, Deborah, confirmed there would be no charge since the work was under guarantee. When Chuck returned, he explained that flushing the boiler had sent sediment into the air scrubber, clogging it. He then insisted the scrubber had already been leaking prior to his visit and needed to be fully replaced — at our expense. To be clear: the scrubber was not leaking before he arrived. His own explanation confirmed that flushing the boiler caused the clog, yet he declined to take responsibility. He also informed us his rate was $199.80/hour, directly contradicting Deborah's assurance of no charge. Deborah later confirmed he should not have quoted us for this visit. We paid nearly $1,000 for a pipe repair we cannot even verify was done correctly, because the boiler — which was fully functional before Chuck's first visit — still does not work. Following this, a representative named Durrell called me to ask what happened. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, he stated outright that he did not believe anything I told him and that he would go to bat for his plumber regardless of the circumstances. He suggested the entire issue stemmed from me "challenging Chuck's knowledge." Before we got off the phone, Durrell told me that a person named Bryan would call me right away to arrange a refund. That call never came. The work left our boiler non-functional. A promise of no charge was contradicted by the plumber on site. A promise of a follow-up call was never honored. And when I raised these concerns, I was told I was not believed. Based on our experience and the pattern we have since seen in other reviews, we cannot recommend Caton's Plumbing. EDITED to respond to their reply: Thank you for your response. A refund was issued today. However, the concerns outlined in my review stand, as the boiler was left non-functional following your plumber's visit and multiple commitments made by your office were not honored. I also want to note that your invitation to reach out is contradicted by the fact that your representative Durrell not only told me he did not believe anything I said, but instructed me never to call Caton's Plumbing again. I hope this serves as constructive feedback for how similar situations are handled in the future."

Highly DO NOT recommend this company unless you want to be lied to about what services are included in what you pay for, even when they’re written explicitly on the invoice. I had a main line clog and when the plumber came to my house, we went through what was included in the payment of over a thousand dollars, where he explicitly wrote on the invoice before I signed ‘camera scope included.’ When I called the office to see when the person who runs the scope would come, April the office woman had the nastiest attitude, started arguing with me and rudely exclaimed that they only come to scope when the know I’m paying for the repair job. I said how do I even know what’s needed before I pay you or sign on for more services? Her response was ‘Fine you want an estimate? It’s $10,000.’ I’ve never been spoken to like that by a company I am a customer of, let alone been given a random estimate by office staff without full inspection. And again, I was told the scope was included in what I was paying for when I signed and paid the first time. Feels like they’re running some type of sales scam out of the office. When I finally spoke with the manager, we set up a time for him to come out personally to run the scope. And no surprise, he never showed up or returned my calls. Imagine having plumbing issues, trying to get answers, getting scammed out of a service and then dealing with complete unprofessionalism and nasty people with attitudes. Read all of the negative reviews before you think about using these people.

We will NEVER use Catons for anything ever again. They turned a very small pipe replacement for a few hundred to a $1200+ job by the plumber breaking a valve on my main water supply. It was working FINE before the plumber got here but "suddenly" broke while he was here messing with it. He blamed it on being "old," even though it wasn't rusty/fragile or falling apart in any way. His guilty demeanor while trying to convince me it suddenly fell apart in his hands was super suspicious to me. It gave me that strong gut feeling you get that lets you know something is off. He also turned off a ball valve for hot water coming off of my furnace, and neglected to turn it back on when he was done...so I didn't have heat until a friend came and saw what was wrong and turned it back on. Given what happened with my out-of-the-blue water valve "magically" breaking while the plumber was using it, this makes me wonder if the furnace valve being left off was accidental- or maybe in hopes of a future service call? Either way it was very worrisome and upsetting to go without heat for a few days and thinking now something's wrong with my furnace because of the plumber's carlessness or whatever it was. The whole experience seemed super shady, and it sure was a jackpot for Caton's to have a very small job suddenly, and conveniently for them, balloon to a MUCH more expensive one. NOT recommended, buyer beware.

I'm a property manager and work with a lot different contractors and vendor. A big factor for me when selecting vendors is the quality of a vendors customer service. Dealing with their customer service is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. A few years back one my clients purchase a new water for their pool area from Catons. The water fountain they sold my client recently broke and when we went to file a warranty claim the manufacturer informed us that the water fountain they sold us for an outdoor use is for indoor use only and the warranty was voided. My client is now forced to spend a several thousand dollars to replace the water fountain they just installed a few years ago because Cantons sold them something not appropriate to for their use. I reached out to Cantons to inquire about why they sold my client an indoor water fountain for an outdoor location, it took them over a week to get back to the first, where General Manager Greg Anderson provide me zero information and in a one sentence reply simply asked for photos, which I provided. Since them they have ghosted me and ignored my follow ups for several weeks. P.S. I see you were able to respond to my google review within a few hours but yet you still haven't replied to my emails. If you really wanted the opportunity to resolve this issue you would reply back to my emails.

I would strongly advise anyone dealing with a serious plumbing issue—especially one involving insurance—to avoid Catons Plumbing at all costs. Since December 30, 2025, I’ve been trying to get basic documentation sent to my insurance company regarding a sewage main break. Catons Plumbing has claimed—multiple times—that they’ve already sent it. Meanwhile, my insurance agent has consistently confirmed that nothing has been received. This has been an ongoing, unresolved issue for months. At this point, it’s beyond frustrating—it’s completely unacceptable. When you’re dealing with something as serious as a sewage backup and insurance claims, you need a company that is responsive, accountable, and reliable. This has been the exact opposite. On top of that, their pricing practices are questionable at best. They come in high, then act like they’re doing you a favor by “negotiating” the price down. It feels less like professionalism and more like a sales tactic. Bottom line: if your situation involves insurance, documentation, or anything requiring follow-through, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This experience has been a complete disappointment.

: Unprofessional Billing and Negligence - Beware of Hidden Charges I am writing this review to warn the public about the negligence of Caton’s water restoration department and their practice of charging for work that was never done. In December, we had a bathroom leak and called Caton (having used their plumbing services before). While the water restoration work itself was fine, they billed us roughly $700 for removing, cleaning, and replacing the bathroom toilet—work they did not do. We had to hire someone else to perform this service. When I contacted Danny to contest this charge, he said he would "talk to the technician" but subsequently stopped replying to my calls and messages. Two weeks later, after I ignored the incorrect bill, Rob called to inquire about the payment. Finally, we were able to discuss the issue, and I had to submit a formal written complaint with photos and evidence of my previous messages to Danny. An adjusted bill was finally sent in February. Please be aware and check your invoices thoroughly. This company bills for uncompleted work and refuses to respond to inquiries. Danny is an EXTREMELY unprofessional manager. Shusma

My initial call to Catons was great. Very friendly scheduling. They provided me an estimated time for the plumber to arrive. Curtis, a field supervisor, arrived a short time later to preview the issue. He was friendly and professional. The plumber, Jason, arrived some time after. He was very friendly. He assessed the issue and exhibited problem solving on the spot since the house is old and he had to figure out the best way to perform the repair. He explained what he was doing. Jason got the job done in a very acceptable period of time and he didn't seem to mind me hanging over his shoulder. He removed the ancient inoperable water meter which is pretty cool to look at. I was very pleased with the service and charge. There was some residual water on the repair the next day even after wiping, but I gave it a couple days to insure I wouldn't need to call them back. All is very good. Having not had to ever call a plumber, this was a great first experience. There was a lot of anxiety on my part leading up to the repair. The entire process is very efficient and they will let you know when the plumber is on their way. Thanks, Catons.

The first time Caton’s came to our house was for a main line blocage, they did great. The clog caused another pb in our basement Bathroom. They came back and unclogged it but damage a trap. When they came for a third time, they offer to change the whole sewage system (13000$). I was stubborn enough to ask for a camera inspection. It was a … trap problem(as I suspected). The camera guy locate the trap 4 foot away from where it actually was and said it would be 6000$ to fix the trap. I said legally there must be an access to the trap. He said there was none. I said no and I found the access, and 30 mins later fix the problematic trap (picture attached). I don’t understand how a professional plumbing company cannot find the access to a trap and fix ia trap. I did the reparation over the phone with a plumber from Canada!! Conclusion: good company for emergency unclogging but not for big plumbing jobs or problems that goes beyond a clog. Unless you ready to spend big $$$.

Henry was absolutely amazing. If I could give him 10 out of five stars, I would. First of all he came out for an estimate around 8 o’clock on a Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday no less. He was professional, kind and courteous of my home. He was very patient with his explanation of the problem and did a thorough inspection of the damage to my main line. As a single woman I felt safe with him in my house, which isn’t always the case with contractors. When he came out to do the work, he was on time which can also be rare and went above and beyond to fix the issue that he originally had diagnosed, and then fixed additional damage that he discovered. He went the extra mile and explained everything meticulously during and after the work. He did everything he could to ensure I’ll never have this issue again in the future by explaining what to do if it ever happens again. Henry doesn’t cut any corners. Give that man a raise!

As a real estate agent in Annapolis… I am in charge of 5 properties that are unoccupied. 3 days before snowmegedon is supposed to hit (Jan 2026) I called to see if they could help usher all 5 winterized (get the water out of the pipes, drain water heaters, etc) in case power goes out and they loose heat - I didn’t want the pipes to freeze. They got all 5 done and called when one of them had a sump pump that wasn’t working . Had a big snow melt occurred without finding that and saying something and fixing it… that home would have had a flooded basement. I am forever grateful that they helped us get this done and provided peace of mind for many families. Thanks for making me look good by recommending you :). I will definitely be calling with any future plumbing needs.
