My water heater stopped working, so I called Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric to check it out. Damon arrived right on time and took a good look at my water heater. He explained everything clearly and gave me advice on what would be the most cost-effective fix for my situation, even though it meant going with another quote I already had. I really appreciate how honest and helpful he was—he made sure I understood my options and didn't try to push any unnecessary work. It's hard to find plumbers who care about what’s best for the customer. Next time I need any plumbing help in Altadena, they’ll be the first ones I call.
I've been relying on this plumbing company for many years now, both for my home and my business. Joe, one of their plumbers, has always been friendly and professional. They’ve helped me with everything from unclogging drains to replacing seals and installing new water heaters. No matter the plumbing issue, they handle it quickly and at a fair price. I appreciate how they work efficiently and even offer after-hours service when needed. I highly recommend their team for anyone looking for dependable plumbers in the area.
I called a local plumbing company to help with some clogged pipes and to replace the water main valve in my house. I spoke with Russell on the phone and he answered all my questions, even after I sent him a picture of the street valve the water company uses. He assured me there were no problems and helped set up an appointment quickly. Arthur and Taylor came out right on time. They were both very professional and didn’t give up until the pipes were completely cleared. Arthur seemed like the main plumber, and Taylor was a friendly assistant who also handled the paperwork and kept things light with some good humor. For the quality of work and the time they spent making sure everything was done right, I thought the price was really fair. They made sure to clean up after themselves and left my place looking tidy. Since their visit, everything has been working perfectly.
i had an issue with my water heater—the pilot light just wouldn’t stay on. i was really glad there was no flat service or diagnostic fee to get started. when it comes to plumbing problems, sometimes it’s not a quick fix and can get pricey, so it really helps to trust the plumber working on your home. russell came out from casey & sons plumbing & electric and was fantastic. he was super friendly, honest, and you could tell he really cared about helping us out. he took the time to look at the simple things first, hoping to save me some money before moving on to anything bigger. he explained everything clearly, including the pros and cons, and never pushed me to buy a new water heater or tried to sell me stuff i didn’t need. after checking the basics and even calling the water heater manufacturer for extra advice, russell determined that the gas valve controller was likely the problem (which matched what i had seen online). when he gave me a price, i asked if i’d have to pay more if the part didn’t fix it. he said no, i’d only be charged for the repair that actually solved the problem. he replaced the gas valve, and it worked! he also secured my drainage pipe to prevent any flooding issues and cleaned the burner for free. while he was here, we accidentally tripped a switch in the electrical panel, and my wife couldn’t figure it out. russell helped her reset it, which was so helpful. at the end, i mentioned that our water usage had suddenly doubled, and instead of charging me for extra time, he walked me through how to check for leaks and even showed me how to read the water meter. the meter was buried under gravel, but russell grabbed his shovel, dug it up, and explained how it worked. thanks to his tips, i know what to do next time. if i can’t find the leak myself, i’ll definitely call him again. overall, we were really happy and impressed with the whole experience!
Wanted to update this review. After we shared an invoice from another plumber showing the drain line was fine, they refunded the full amount, which we appreciated. The first tech, arthur, seemed new and had trouble getting the cleanout unclogged. During the drain cleaning, vice grips were left on the snake reel, which caused some chips on the deck when the tool came loose and landed across the patio. Thankfully no one was hurt. He also got the sewer snake stuck and talked about cutting it off, which would have left equipment in our drain line. He said the line was bad and might need a full replacement for a very high price, and mentioned a camera inspection for an extra charge the next day. I suggested another way to pull the snake out, and that part did work, but the clog was still there when the visit ended. We were charged a large amount and the clogged line was still in the same position, so i called the next day and spoke with the manager. He said he would review tool safety and the service call with the tech. After that, we had another plumber come out in Altadena for a basic drain cleaning and camera inspection. They cleared the blockage, scoped the sewer line, and found the pipe was actually in good shape. In the end, we were glad the refund was made and that the plumbing issue was finally solved. Based on our experience, joe or damon would likely be a better choice for drain cleaning, sewer camera work, and honest advice about whether a line really needs repair. i appreciate that they made it right with the refund, and i hope future service calls are handled with better troubleshooting, safer equipment use, and clearer plumbing recommendations.
After struggling to get in touch with the original septic service provider for our house, I sought advice from my brother. He had previously used Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric, and we were thrilled when he shared their contact details with us. I called one day, and they were able to come the next. They arrived in the morning, just as planned. This was our first experience dealing with this, and we had been informed by the previous homeowner that the mark on our front yard was due to the old tank. However, that was not the case. When they started digging (since there was no riser), Manuel and Russell discovered that the tank cover had been sealed shut with concrete! Upon digging the other end, they came across two cable wires crossing the cover. Despite this, the guys managed to work around it, opened the tank cover, and successfully emptied the tank. We decided that future digging was not an ideal solution, so we arranged for another team to install a riser. We got in touch with the cable company, who promptly arrived, checked the cables and removed them. When we informed Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric, they were back by late afternoon to install the riser. They then leveled the soil around it and sowed grass seeds. Every task was completed with the utmost care. The team also provided us with crucial advice regarding the dos and don'ts of septic systems. They ensured our comfort throughout the entire process. We will certainly seek their services again in the future and would recommend them to everyone in Altadena!
Arthur, one of the senior plumbers, worked closely with me to plan and complete a full replacement of my old water heater and some outdated plumbing pipes, since my old system just wasn't providing reliable hot water throughout my home in Altadena. I had called a few other plumbing companies, but none of them could help me right away. This team was available and responsive no matter the time of year. Arthur listened to all my concerns about inconsistent water temperature and pressure, and the new system they installed is far more efficient than what I had before. He made sure to check in with the installation crew to ensure everything was done properly. The plumbers arrived right on time, and in just two days, my new water heater and pipes were up and running. My home now has steady hot water, and everything works perfectly. The installation crew was very respectful, laying down protective cloths to keep my floors and furniture clean, and they even vacuumed everything when they were done. I would definitely recommend this plumbing company for anyone in Altadena needing reliable plumbing repairs or upgrades. Joe, one of the techs, had also come by earlier to help evaluate my old system. He was polite, on time, and gave my old water heater a tune-up so it would last longer while I considered my options. Highly recommended. Damon also helped me today with a drain problem, explaining all my choices for repair and future maintenance. He was very professional and took the time to make sure I understood everything.
Emmanuel and Joe are two fantastic individuals who show exceptional expertise in plumbing and stellar customer service. They were incredibly considerate, performing their duties with utmost care and thoughtfulness, ensuring our comfort and ease of movement in a constrained area. They are undoubtedly proficient in bathroom renovations, and we will without a doubt be requesting their services again for our upcoming project. There are surely others at Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric who are impressive, but Emmanuel and Joe stand out as exceptionally delightful to work with and have around. They were very mindful of the fact that our house is small and that we were residing in it while they were working on the bathroom. I also want to acknowledge Manuel, our 'Comfort Specialist / Team Member.' He went above and beyond to ensure that the project was executed to our satisfaction. We had a minor hiccup with a small missing part necessary for the completion of the shower arm. However, it's been specially ordered and will arrive shortly for the job to be fully completed. Manuel is there to back us up and ensure that it will arrive and be finished promptly. Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric came highly recommended by friends who used their services, and we will certainly recommend them to others. They are a fantastic company to do business with. Our tub, wall, and fixtures source was also excellent. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and I am thrilled with my new tub!
wow, so impressive! Russell came out, scoped the work, and explained the plan and reasoning in detail. i received an estimate from him either that day or the next - super quick. there was no miscommunication between Russell, who assessed my home, and the one who provided the estimate. the process was smooth. the suggestions they provided were comprehensive, not too much, not too little. i had three different queries before scheduling the job and it was incredibly easy to communicate with Russell who was familiar with the job. just a quick call away. direct communication. outstanding! he gave great advice for long-term solutions. the cost was very reasonable for high-quality work. being fully licensed and bonded was very important to me. they offered a smarter plan than other plumbers and at a much better price. top-quality copper, welding, water heater, accessories, and overflow tank too. in my situation, piping had to go through my downstairs neighbor's apartment to reach underneath my home and then outside. the installation crew, Manuel and Damon, were like a doctor and nurse team. they worked together perfectly and were fast and accurate. once they finished, Russell, who originally planned the work and provided the estimate, came back, explained everything to me, and we settled the bill. you will be very happy and have peace of mind with this team working for you. i feel lucky, you should too!
Our old sewer line needed to be replaced because of age and some recent backups in the toilet and outside the house. Before calling Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric, I had another plumber out three times, but their quote required me to get permits, arrange for underground marking, dig up the yard, and even remove a large oak tree. Plus, they wouldn't start until I got all the water out of the crawlspace myself. When Russell from Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric came out, he suggested using a pipe bursting method, which saved my yard and trees from being dug up. He even took the time to show me what the camera found inside the pipe, which the other plumber never did. That same afternoon, Russell took care of removing the water from the crawlspace and didn’t charge me anything up front. After spending a lot with the other plumber for snaking and camera work, I was relieved when the crew finished the entire job in just one day. They handled everything the other company said I had to do myself and explained each step along the way. The next day, they returned to smooth out the ground where they had to dig a couple of small holes. The difference in service was night and day. I really wish I had called them first. They’ll be coming back soon to install a sump pump in the crawlspace to help with the groundwater. Truly a five-star experience!
i made a call to a plumber service because of a blocked drain that was causing sewage to back up through a floor drain in my basement. i got a return call from joe, the boss, who talked me through different ways to sort out the problem. He was really helpful over the phone and i asked him to come out and fix the blockage. He was on time and got straight to work. After figuring out that the main sewer from the house to the street was fine, he told me that the issue was with the drain inside the house. The clean out he needed to get to was blocked by some shelves i had put up and he was patient while i moved them so he could get to work. (lesson learned - don't block cleanouts.) joe managed to unblock the drain and get it working again. What really impressed me was that he also used a camera snake to show us the condition of the drain system from inside the house right out to the street. Most of the companies i looked up online don't include a camera inspection in their basic service. The fact that joe includes a camera inspection shows that he's committed to not just finding the problem but also making sure that it's completely fixed in one visit. i was impressed with joe's professional approach and his attention to detail. I'll be getting in touch with this plumber service for any plumbing issues i have in the future in Altadena.
Our bathtub drain in our Altadena apartment was totally clogged, so we scheduled an appointment with a local plumbing company. Arthur, the plumber, arrived promptly the next morning and immediately knew where to start checking for the drainage problem. He thoroughly inspected our plumbing system and quickly found that the old pipes, dating back to the 1930s, were the main reason for the blockage. Arthur noticed that a previous repair on the pipes had not been done correctly and there was a lot of rust buildup at the bottom of the line. He recommended that the best solution would be to replace the affected section of pipe, but first tried to clear the blockage with a cable to see if that would help. He showed us before and after photos, which made it easy to understand what was going on. It turned out that the earlier poor repair was the real cause of our drain problems. Arthur was extremely professional and honest throughout the whole process. I offered to pay for the service, but Arthur did not charge us for the visit and instead suggested that if we wanted, their team could properly replace the pipe in the future. Since I rent, I couldn’t make that decision right away. Overall, I was very satisfied with the plumber’s work ethic and straightforward advice. I highly recommend them if you need a trustworthy plumber in Altadena.
I recently updated our second bathroom myself, but the old connector and nut on my drain pipe had gone bad and wouldn’t seal properly with the p-trap. Replacing this nut meant cutting the pipe and gluing on a new connector, which I didn’t want to tackle alone in case I couldn’t get everything lined up with the sink drain. I decided to hire a professional plumber to avoid any hassle. Emmanuel from Casey & Sons Plumbing & Electric arrived the next day right on schedule. He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and very considerate. Out of all the service folks we’ve had in our home, he was the first to wear shoe covers, keeping dirt and debris from outside off our floors. Usually, we have to do a big cleanup after work is done, but not this time, which was a relief since plumbers often need to go in and out to their truck. There was a little confusion about the cost at first, but after a quick call with another team member, we easily sorted things out and got started on the repair. Emmanuel’s work was excellent—he even installed a glued-in PVC extension off the p-trap, so I didn’t need the old drain extension assembly anymore. That means fewer joints and less chance of leaks. We’re really happy with how everything turned out.
We had major septic and sewer line problems. At first we thought it was just a blockage, but it turned out part of the pipe had collapsed and we needed around 100 feet of new piping installed. My husband and i are new homeowners and new parents, so this was a lot for us to handle and we did not have much experience with plumbing repairs like this. The crew was very patient and helpful the whole time. emmanuel and taylor explained each step in simple terms, made sure we understood what was going on with the sewer repair, and always checked with us before doing the next part of the job. That really gave us peace of mind during a stressful plumbing situation. We were also worried about the cost because a sewer and septic repair like this is a big expense. Even though the price was better than we expected, it was still a lot for our budget. They worked with us on a payment plan so the plumbing work could get finished properly without putting us in a worse spot financially. The whole experience felt professional, honest, and family friendly. We are very thankful for the support and will absolutely keep them in mind for any future plumbing or drain work in Altadena.
A few weeks back, we had a big plumbing problem at our house late on a Friday night. Our toilets and showers were all clogged up and wouldn’t drain. On top of that, a pipe had burst in our front yard and we needed a new clean out installed. We tried calling a few different plumbers, but nobody was available to help us. After searching online, I came across a local plumber and gave them a call. They answered right away and said they could come out first thing the next morning. Russell showed up with another plumber, and they got straight to work. They were very professional, knew exactly what they were doing, and worked really hard to fix everything. Both of them were super friendly and made us feel comfortable having them in our home. I also noticed their work truck looked clean and well-maintained, which says a lot about their attention to detail. I always appreciate when service companies take care of their equipment and don’t leave a mess in my driveway. Overall, we were really happy with the service and have already recommended them to our neighbors and friends. If we ever have another plumbing issue, we’ll definitely call them again.
