So glad to find an honest and fair local plumber. Locally owned and operated. Not part of the Venture Capital firms that overcharge, and upsell. Zach was great to work with. I've had them come back multiple times for other projects and everytime the pricing was fair, they were quick and professional and so easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Bumble Bee Plumbing is exceptional! I’ve had them take care of multiple plumbing repairs. They are professional, clean, and have fantastic communication. Their customer service and customer experience is top level. Highly recommend!
So it's been a week or two, and I am still very happy with everything! I had originally called because the water heater was making weird noise, not an emergency. Zach still showed up the next day, found the water pressure was really high, my house regulator had failed, and I had several pipes nearing failure too. He had his team out within two days, Natalie made scheduling and managing change orders a breeze via text, we got very helpful notifications the day of from their CRM, and Virgil and Seth took the time to do everything properly. I'm entirely happy with Bumble Bee!
Wow!! I literally have never posted a review in my life but feel I would be doing a disservice by not sharing my unbelievably bad experience with Brighton Plumbing (Yes, this Brighton Plumbing!). Where's the zero stars option when you need it?! The tenants at a rental home I manage reported to me that they smelled gas in the basement, so I quickly called the gas company, and several plumbers. When I spoke with Jim at Brighton Plumbing, he told me he does, in fact, repair plumbing associated with gas leaks, and that he'd stop by the house to take care of it for me. Jim called me later that same day, however, and told me he couldn't find a gas leak - end of Brighton Plumbing, I thought. Knowing there had to be a gas leak, I called another plumber who immediately located the problem and did the repairs for me. [The first thing this other plumber did was turn on the gas at the meter, which the gas company had turned off earlier in the day.] Months later, Jim called me to collect on his invoice. I had never received an invoice from him, so I asked him to email it to me for my review - he charged me $150 to essentially tell me he couldn't find a gas leak. I reached out to Jim several times after receiving his invoice, including sending multiple emails, but never got a reply. We finally connected on the phone today (many months later). He told me the work I had asked him to do was to "re-light the furnace and water heater," which he was unable to do, and that the $150 was for his time. I reminded him that I had actually asked him to locate and repair a gas leak in the basement - he denied ever discussing a gas leak with me. After several minutes of bantering over what I had originally asked him to repair, I explained my position and asked him whether he'd be willing to accept $75 for his time, in light of the circumstances. He went off, proceeded to yell at me, called me a "cheat" several times, then hung up on me. I very reluctantly mailed a check to him today for the full $150 just to put the nightmare behind me.
I would not recommend this company. It took him a several weeks to install a steamer that should have been done in a couple hours tops. His charges are excessive, works very slow and charges high prices by the hour. It is time to retire. I recommend Absolute plumbing. Very accommodating, low prices, highly skilled plumbers. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
I received estimates from three other well known competitors on the replacement of a water heater. The other companies used very similar tactics. Each one listed components that needed to be added or replaced. They were never the same things but there was always something too old or “absolutely necessary.” My house is old so of course I know it can use some updating but I don’t enjoy having it used to try to get me to buy things I’m perfectly aware I don’t need. Bumble Bee just carefully looked things over and gave me an estimate. Their price was nearly half the amount of other quotes. They went to work right away. The They fixed code issues with my gas line installed a shut off valve and put in two new water heaters . I was reminded there is a manufacturing warranty instead of being coaxed into buying one from them since it’s already covered. Issues about old parts were discussed but I wasn’t pressured to address them immediately. They stayed until they were sure it was working and left the work area clean. I appreciated the respect I received and the work they did.
If you need any plumbing work done Bumble Bee Plumbing is the way to go! Best work, Best Price and Best team. I got quotes from 3 other companies. All of them lied to me about what needed to be done and cost. Zack gave me his quote and plan to repair my sewer main line and was 6,000$ cheaper than the other three competing plumbers. Not only was he the best price but his work and professionalism can’t be found anywhere else. All the other plumbing companies gave me arrival times from 8:00-12:00 every single one of them showed up an hour after that window. Zack's window for arrival was 8:30-9:00 and showed up every single time exactly at 8:30. He did the work in two days, took all the steps to make sure my property was protected while he worked and did a great job on the repairs. Anyone needing work done should go with Bumble Bee Plumbing.
This company is awesome. Kinda found them by mistake, I told my wife to call ( and I gave her the name of another company) we were new to Utah . She thought I said bumblebee. It must have been fate. They showed up quickly, attended to our issue with and unbelievable friendliness and professionalism. That was early 2023. A couple weeks ago my sewer main broke, I called them back and they made it useable and we discussed a plan for permanent repair. They fix it quickly. Zach is a hard worker and treated me like I was a family member who had a plumbing emergency. The girl who answered the phone ( I believe her name is Natalie ) was just a helpful, courteous and friendly as she kept in contact with me and got the professionals the info they needed. I will never call anyone else. Thank you bumblebee Plumbing you have a customer for life.
They're not kidding when they say they're available 24/7. I noticed my water heater was leaking in the basement at 8 pm on a Thursday night. I called Jim. He was just finishing another job but was at my home within 30 minutes to turn off my water. He recommended replacing the water heater. He checked the water heater's model number, size, etc. to get the correct replacement. He had other jobs scheduled for Friday (in Wyoming) and Saturday, so I had to schedule another plumber to install a new water heater the next morning. Jim helped us out with leaking faucets, etc. a few years ago. He is quick to respond to calls for help, is knowledgeable, and his pricing is fair. His business is located nearby my neighborhood (Murray/Cottonwood Heights). I recommend this company for plumbing needs!
My experience with the team at Bumble Bee Plumbing was excellent from start to finish. They answered my call first attempt, got me scheduled quickly, were awesome at sending notices to confirm the appointment and confirmed as they were headed my way the day of. Zach showed up, very personable and friendly. We worked together to replicate my leaking issue and although water coming through the ceiling was concerning and had me planning on an expensive fix, the fix was simple and Zach didn't portray it to be anything other than that. Honest, quick and solid work, and charged me fairly for just that. I love working with local contractors but they must be honest and do high quality work. No doubt I would recommend this team for any plumbing related issues you have. THANK YOU!
Truly can’t recommend Bumble Bee Plumbing enough. As a first-time homeowner on my own, this is the first time the internal functions of a home have come across my desk… I’ve historically hesitated to reach out to a plumber because of the anxiety it causes having someone come in and boss me around about my pipes (and stuff? 🙂) The team at Bumble Bee Plumbing is kind and intentionally educational when explaining things - which has helped boost my confidence about important house things, like plumbing, that can feel scary. They’re also just a group of extremely pleasant people to have over. I’d fully recommend them for your home and plan to invite them back as often as needed. Might even break something on my own just to get them back! (: Thank you guys!
Had a clogged kitchen sink with some Galvanized pipe being the culprit. Bumble Bee plumbing was prompt, got to the issue fast and made a simple suggestion for a solution. Plumber was knowledgeable and nice, though $750 for a job that took 5 hours including the trip to the supply store felt a bit steep. He did offer a $300 option just to get the clog so I did have that cheaper option. Next time might try to shop around a bit more or do it myself as I think the job could have been done more affordably. That said problem was resolved in a timely manner, he gave me some free feedback on some incoming plumbing work I did, and the finished work looks great. Good work when you’re under the gun but could’ve been 5 stars if it had been $250 cheaper.
I am writing this review for one reason: to save others from the agony we experienced with Brighton Plumbing. Our experience includes the owner of the company accidentally setting our drywall on fire, and also installing a valve in the wrong bathroom. This was a miserable experience. When he sent me his invoice a week later (which did not account for the time spent installing the valve or uninstalling it and replacing it with the right one), I responded immediately, detailing those and other problems with the work. I did not hear from him for two months. When we talked on the phone he called me names. We hired another plumber to repair and complete the work he left undone. It was a far more pleasant experience.
This guy was great. I had a plumbing issue that I'd had multiple plumbers already come out and give me bids on. He was the first one to be honest and tell me that the project could be done for about $50 if I went to Lowes or Home Depot and did it myself. But it didn't end there, he even went as far as to actually walk me through every single part that was needed. Then added at the end, "that should save you at least $400 in labor, good luck and let me know if you need help with it." I'll definitely be calling this company for all my plumbing needs in the future. It's rare to to find a company that's in the business to actually help people and not just throw an overpriced bid together and hope you pick them.
I first reached out to Bumble Bee to see if they would take on a custom project for my business - installing a flow thru system for my tumbler. They did such a great job that I asked them to look at my clogged kitchen sink too since they were over. Not only did they set up my flow thru system the same day, but Zach also quickly took apart my kitchen pipes to diagnose the problem and explain the issues clearly with a cost estimate. I hired him for both jobs and am 100% satisfied in the work - skilled, efficient, easy to work with, great communication and on time! I’ll definitely be reaching out again for any plumbing needs, and recommending them to friends.
