Joey and Matthew did an excellent job cleaning our ducts. The previous owners did a remodel and used the ducts as a garbage can. They could have cut corners but didn't. End-to-end this was a great service experience. We definitely recommend Buckeye Heating & Cooling.

I had the pleasure of meeting TJ after we briefly spoke on the phone. Later that evening, he was able to arrive within an hour and took the time to help me through the crisis I was experiencing. He quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed my furnace, and got my heat working again! He was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate his prompt response and excellent service.

As a new customer of Buckeye Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, my wife and I happily recommend this company. We have utilized both their heating and plumbing services and glad we did. We could tell that this company is very customer service oriented, explains appropriate alternatives and is effective at resolving the problems. A special shout out to Scott, Kyle, Csaba, Tom, Max and Dylan for the great work you did. My wife wants to add how great these men were !

I am writing because Buckeye Heating and Cooling declined to repair my air conditioner during a service call because the work required was not in the service techs purview. Buckeye has insisted that there needs to be 3 service calls to fix my air conditioner. My contention is they are over billing me. Also, they have not provided information about services performed plus there is no vehicle to complain. This is what happened. My air conditioner is approximately 5 years old, and it was making a loud noise. I called for service and on July 24 a service tech came out. The air conditioner noise was not repaired. When asked why he said it needed cleaning and (paraphrasing) that work was not in his purview so a cleaning service call would be needed When asked why the unit was making a noise the technician made disparaging remarks about the quality of the unit. This made me feel terrible about my purchase and choosing Buckeye. I did not understand why they could not clean it but I felt compelled to just call Buckeye again and get the unit cleaned. I have attached a picture of the condition they left the unit in. I do not know what services were performed on that day. No record of the services performed was ever given to me. I called Buckeye again and asked again for the air conditioner noise be repaired, the unit cleaned plus have some sort of preventive maintenance performed. Once the air conditioner was cleaned the noise stopped. Great! However, that was all the new service tech was able to do. They stated that another service call would be needed for the additional services because, like the first service call, that was not in their purview (paraphrasing). I called to complain about my experience and the bill but their phone system does not have an option for customer service complaints. I did, eventually talk to a person and left a message regarding the complaint. More than a week passed & they did not call back. I called again on 10.9.25 and left another complaint message. I did get a return call on 10.10.25 and they left a message but with no direct phone number. So, that left me with having to go thru the game of telephone tag with them again. I really wanted to keep my complaint just between both parties plus I just do not have the bandwidth for a formal complaint. However, it’s not possible to do that when they don’t offer those options. Plus, I was just shocked by the way the first tech left my project and the comments they made. My experience leads me to the conclusion that their communication processes are oriented for their convenience & benefits, not their clientele. Additionally, I would argue that one service call could have done all this work. Three service calls are not at all respectful of my time, not to mention the fact that there are 3 bills instead of one. Therefore, I am lodging formal complaints with: Organization Reason Buckeye Refund & cancellation of 3rd service call Costco Purchase was a Costco promo BBB For the benefit of others Google Review For the benefit of others Yelp Review For the benefit of others AG Unfair Consumer Business Practices & benefit of others. I would expect an immediate refund from Buckeye and I would hope they revise their repair & customer service processes.

Want to provide my experience with Buckeye so the next potential customer isn't caught off guard: While I don't doubt the technical skill of the technician dispatched to our house to replace a toilet flange and subsequent reset, I have some issues with Buckeye's business model. 1. The technician was not licensed. I'm unsure how many of Buckeye's technicians do not carry a license, but ours admitted Buckeye only hired him for cheap to complete his training hours prior to becoming licensed. 2. Like many other service businesses, Buckeye charges about a $100 dispatch charge simply for the technician to come diagnose the issue. This charge is then tacked on to severely upcharged services and parts intentionally because Buckeye knows the customer is already on the hook for $100 initially. A toilet reset cost nearly $400 and could have been performed by myself or by another company for a fraction of that cost. 3. I had to have the technician return to replace a whistling fill valve in the toilet that started acting up after the first job was completed. I was told on the phone that a service charge of $100 would not be charged for this follow up, but the technician stated he was not aware of this conversation when he arrived and proceeded to attempt to get me to pay the charge regardless. In summary (TLDR): Unlicensed technicians, predatory/deceptive business model, extremely expensive, upcharged fees for services. Please stay away.

Buckeye Heating and Cooling literally saved my life. I had been experiencing an odor in my basement for the past several weeks that I was certain was natural gas. I thought it might be the water heater that I had installed by Fire & Ice less than one year ago and that it might not be working properly or had not been installed properly. I contacted my regular service provider, Logan Services, who sent a plumber out to check everything. At the conclusion of his testing, he said everything tested fine and he could not smell an odor. A couple of weeks later, I went downstairs and the natural gas odor was so strong that it made my eyes water. I called 9-1-1 and the fire department came out, went downstairs, came out less than 10 minutes later and said that no carbon monoxide or natural gas was detected by their equipment. I went downstairs after they left and the odor was still there, but not quite as strong. I purchased a First Alert gas detector and it was installed per package instructions but it had not detected anything. Next I thought it might be the furnace; I had a new gas valve installed November 2024 by Logan Services. I called Logan Services, again, about my concerns of a gas leak, and they sent a technician out the same day. He spent over two hours "checking everything" and did not find any leaks. I asked him if he smelled anything, and he said he did not. I went downstairs after he left, and the odor was present, though not very strong. The next day, I once again noticed a strong natural gas odor. On the advice of my daughter (who is a very happy customer of Buckeye Heating and Cooling), I called the Client Care Center and a very courteous and patient lady listened to my long story detailing my frustrations with what I thought was a gas leak, and she put me on the list for emergency service. Mike Mahaffey called me within 20 minutes, and arrived at my home just 15 minutes after that. He went downstairs to the furnace area and found the leak in less than 10 minutes. It was in the piping leading to the furnace, and he repaired it leak-free in no time! Thank you, Mike Mahaffey and Buckeye Heating and Cooling! Mike Mahaffey is an excellent technician and really knows his trade. I am very pleased with the service provided by him and the Client Care Team. I will be a customer of Buckeye Heating and Cooling from now on!

Though I would be writing a good review, Buckeye worked with me on my quote compared to other companies to replace my water heater. 3 techs came out and where in an out of my house in less than 3 hours to do the swap was told give it an hour or 2 and you'll have hot water. I waited almost 3 hours still no hot water, so I called in they dispatched a tech who arrived around 6:30 and found out that the tank was wire for 120 and not 240 so no hot water was being produced. I get that things happen but the only brand tank they install is a Bradford and the techs didn't know how to properly wire the tank. Also while the tech was out found that the mixing valve was leaking .. this is on top of the tank where the electric sits so concern for fire or shorting out panel the tech that came out has only been with the company 3 weeks and is on call with no support, he didn't have any electrical tools to check the wiring.. guess they just expect them to guess at that. He had to call outside of the company to get support to make sure the tank was wired correctly. He had no idea how to set the correct temperature on the mixing valve and the unit has no clear indicators on what temp it is actually set to .. hope their ready for a lawsuit if this is how they do installs.. they did not test for temperature I had to do this myself.. but I'm sure there is some clause in the print on the iPad (didn't get a copy of the paper work I signed for). No shame on the tech he tried his best but its obvious they have a serious lack of training.. After tech left temperature was coming up and then I hear my water leak alarm going off, go down stairs to find mixing valve was leaking again. I called the tech back and told him since it was 8pm to not come back but have a supervisor call me, still waiting on that call. Also they plumed the drain to a floor drain and didn't pipe it into the floor drain so if the water were to leak it would spill into my finished basement. VERY Disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for next time ill go with the slightly more expensive option not even sure I want these techs or anyone at this company to EVER touch anything in my house again.. also still haven't heard from a supervisor you would think this would be a priority call to make things right but I guess I need to blast them on google to get a response.

On 7/10/13 Buckeye Heating & Cooling sent a service member out to my residence to take a look at my air conditioning, which was not working. I was at work at the time but my roommate was their to greet him when he arrived. After he made his assessment he called me. He informed me that their was a leak in my AC. He told me that if I needed to replace my AC it would cost me between 5k and 6k dollars. He told me of another option, that would only cost about $800 but he couldn't guarantee the work. He explained to me that there was an 80% chance that it would work. It consisted of using a product called easy seal, and that it worked like fix-a-flat. Seeing as that I wanted to avoid paying 5k to 6k thousand dollars. I went with the easy seal option. A day later my AC stopped working again. I called them back to inform them about the problem. They set up a time to come out and give a quote. I had 3 other contractors come out as well. Neither of the other 3 contractors understood why they recommended the easy seal option on a AC unit that was 20 years old. I also read contractor forums that echoed the same thing and that easy seal had a 50% success rate on newer AC units and shouldn't even be considered on older units. The reviews on Easy Seal were bad to say the least. When they had a sales rep come back out I told him this and he had no answer. However he had no problem trying to sell me and overpriced new AC unit. Saying that the AEP rebate would be worth it. Until I informed that it actually wasn't worth it. Not to mention a couple of other BS sales tactics that he tried. He was however willing to refund some of my money on the $800 they charged me until they found out I hired someone else to replace my AC, then they weren't willing to refund anything. Also when they first came out they charged my a Diagnostic fee of $75 dollars just to come out a look at the unit, which they never told me over the phone. They also charged me $83 a pound for R-22 only to find out later that it costs $6 a pound and they charged me $242 for the easy seal when it only costs $50 dollars. My advice stay away from these guys. Oh the guy I did end up using to replace my AC and Furnace charged me $3600 not the 5k to 6k the Buckeye quoted.

Our home was built in 2023/2024 and in 2025 we received a flyer for a "$19 earn your trust water heater flush" from Buckeye Heating & Cooling. March 2025 we had our water heater flushed and everything was great so we signed up for the True Comfort membership ($24/mo). June 10th we had our first AC tune-up and July 27th the two shrader valves failed and leaked out all of the refrigerant= $900 (labor + refrigerant, 2 valves under warranty). Then October 7th we had our furnace tune up by the same technician. November 6th we saw water on our furnace filter and discovered a leak at the condensate trap. About a week of no heat during a little cold spell, a few visits from different technicians, $78 service call and a new seal and the problem is solved. Overall I really want to love Buckeye Heating & Cooling, but my impression with 2 failures each within 30 days after 2 tune-ups on new equipment that had no prior issues has left me skeptical. Also, before writing this review I made several attempts to reach out to the Company to share my experience. These tune-ups cost over $1,000 and it seems Buckeye does not stand behind their work. When I asked about a satisfaction guarantee/warranty on work I received different answers from different technicians. It sounds like with Buckeye you are given 1 week to report any issues after service. Buckeye technicians have always been very professional and give thorough reports and I want to recognize both Johan and Hocine for great service and helping to resolve the issue with the leak in the furnace. They were both very kind and very knowledgeable. I don't think it is right that Buckeye does not stand behind their work, or you are only given a week to report issues after service. Also, I was told multiple times that a manager would reach out to me and have yet to hear anything. Johan and Hocine are the only reason I am still a True Comfort member but unfortunately will probably have the next tune-ups done with another company that values good communication and workmanship. Review Update: Brent from the management team reached out to address my concerns. Everything was resolved to my satisfaction and will continue to be a Buckeye Heating and Cooling Customer.

I have been doing business with this company for years and years. The service has always been good and their techs are friendly and capable. And until recently their services have been reasonably priced But no longer. Two years ago they were purchased by The Max Services Group which in turn is owned by Wrench Group. So as too often happens a small, viable good company was acquired to be part of a much larger company. This rarely results in an improved situation and it hasn't in this case. Last spring I was charged $311 for an a/c lubricant that retails for around $15 a quart. I don't know if that is the same product or not. A representative of the company told me their product is more advanced. This week a solenoid was replaced on a humidifier for which Buckeye's list price is $544. Because I'm on a service plan with them my price was $462, which they lowered to $362 when I refused to pay $462. The solenoid was invented in 1823; it is a simple device. They are listed on Amazon for $25. The installed price should be $100-$175 depending on the quality of the solenoid. (An entire new humidifier uninstalled is $170 btw). I wrote a scathing review about this yesterday on Yelp and finally received a call from the parent company this morning after three calls were unreturned this week. The woman I spoke with was very nice and very professional; kudos to her. The fact remains that Buckeye Heatung and Cooling has become extremely and unreasonably overpriced since they were purchased by Max Services Group. It's sad really and I'm disappointed. It was a fine company. Now somebody is making a lot of money and a desire for a reasonable profit has turned into greed in my opinion. I am currently researching an HVAC service alternative to Buckeye.

Here is a copy of my Google review: Two main takeaways from this company: 1. They are NOT authorized Carrier installers. I found out the hard way after the job was completed and Buckeye Heating refused to correct their deficiencies (see number 2) that companies can purchase advertising spots on Carrier's website and can purchase equipment. They are not, however, authorized to actually install the equipment. That factory warranty that you thought you were getting on your expensive equipment--completely nonexistent. I know because I have a Carrier service rep on record stating it. No Factory Authorized Company will touch my system now because it was registered as being installed by Buckeye Heating and not installed per manufacturer specs. If you gave this company a five-star review wait until you try and get warranty work done to your system, might be an eye opener. 2. This is NOT a local company. I picked them to do my install because I thought I was supporting a local Worthington business. Nope, they are owned by something called WCA group, LLC. It doesn't matter how many times you call their 614- number, you will never talk to someone in the state of Ohio. Which means that they have no incentive to actually do the work you signed for, correctly or at all. If you refuse to sign that the work was completed, they will just write an X next to your name and bill you regardless. If you refuse to pay, the parent company will just send your invoice to collections. Probably illegal but good luck hiring an out of state attorney to sue them and in the meantime enjoy your new credit rating. These are only two examples out of so many more.

BEWARE! Stay away from Buckeye Heating and Cooling if you want to have a reliable HVAC company with "customer service" representatives that are helpful, and technicians that actually show up!!!! I called to schedule an appointment to have my bi-annual pre-paid furnace service in March. Buckeye heating and cooling said they couldn't do it until today - June 19. 3 months away seemed like a long time but was fine with that because I understand companies get busy. Then TODAY - the day of the appointment - they call and "reschedule" to July 9! This is an appointment I have had scheduled for 3 months. When I called to question why this was happening - the first "customer service" person hung up on me. The second person who I talked to when I called back informed me that "yeah there's nothing we can do about it" I asked to talk to a supervisor to get a better explanation of why, and they said they don't have one in the office and they can send an email and the supervisor will call me in 24 to 48 BUSINESS HOURS! So basically 4-5 days! The "customer service" rep told me to "be looking at my phone" FOR 4-5 DAYS. I asked if they really expected me to be staring at my phone for 4-5 days and they said YES!!!! Are you kidding me?!? I told them that was ridiculous! It's 2024! Any company that says they are a service company, but can't get back to you for 4-5 days to explain why your appointment you have had scheduled for 3 months was canceled or in their words "rescheduled for a month later" is NOT a service company in my opinion. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I would NEVER recommend BUCKEYE HEATING AND COOLING!!!!

I contacted Buckeye Heating and cooling to assess the cost of heating my new 1500 sq foot pole barn. The sales rep, Dylan, came out and assigned Jordan to measure out the barn for duct work and make recommendations on a system. While Dylan was here, he looked over my home Heat pump which struggled in the winter to keep up. At his recommendation, I purchased a new 3 ton heat pump system for $22k. The Buckeye team was fast, efficient, and professional when installing the new system in the house. However, when it came to the barn, the engineers and managers have ignored multiple phone calls and inquiries to simply quote me a price to install ductwork and the perfectly good 2T unit from the house. I confirmed, I am not expecting any guarantees or warrantees on the equipment, and I only need to keep the bathroom pipes from freezing. After a month of me calling, and my sales rep from sending in repeated requests to the engineers and managers, I still haven’t been contacted to FINISH the job. Buckeye was fast to install a new system where they made good profit, but have ghosted me completely to finish the job on the pole barn. I was pleased at first, but have become completely disappointed by Buckeye Heating and Cooling overall service and lack of communication! Follow up post: Buckeye did finally finish the job in my barn after i left the review. Again, Dylan and Jordan were great! Jordan’s design works great and accomplishes the job. Wish it wouldn’t have taken a post to get the team working together and communicating. Upgrading to 3 stars because they got the job done

UPDATE!!!! 8-20-13 Same problem occurred today, that was supposed to be corrected 8 months ago. Sales manager told me that it was because I did have it maintenance. He would need to charge me another 75.00 to come out and try another leak test, but doubts my 10 yr warranty wont cover any parts because I never had them maintain it. He cant get ask the technician until tomorrows morning because they are already gone today after , the sales manager was to call me back four hours ago. PLEASE stay away from this company!! My Erie Insurance agent recommended them when my AC needed replaced and I have already informed him the latter. Well I got with a a real company Bennett Heating and cooling. Installation was completed incorrectly as they left bolts lose throughout the install. Service call, Leak test, labor,(Replacing Coil that Buckeye should have done from the first call ), oh yea under warranty for the part, which was told had expired) , plus 5 lbs Freon. You ready!!! 300.00 Total!! Do not purchase anything from this company as they do not stand behind their warranty and service. The lady in Customer Service was very rude!!!! After talking to other RESPECTABLE company's, they could not believe that BHC would not back their work. They tried to take almost $500.00 just to come out and check a leak , in which the previous guy did three months ago. Then tried to state the warranty was only for 5 yrs, however after contacting GOODMAN the warranty is for 10. AGAIN, please go with anyone but BUCKEYE HEATING AND COOLING or you will regret every penny wasted.
